2 Tennessee children hospitalized due to baby formula shortage, doctor speaks out on crisis

The children – a preschooler and a toddler – were admitted to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, in April and last week, respectively, a rep for the hospital confirmed to Fox News Digital.

“These are young children who have health conditions and special medical needs that have specific dietary requirements,” their physician, Dr. Mark Corkins, division chief of pediatric gastroenterology at Le Bonheur Children’s, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“Their bodies did not adapt well to the new formula type and they required treatment via IV fluids and supplemental nutrition,” Corkins, who is also a professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, added.

In a phone call on Wednesday with Fox News Digital, Corkins commented on the baby formula shortage.

“This is the worst ever in my career that I’ve ever seen,” Corkins told Fox News Digital. “This is like a pull your hair out, scream at the ceiling crisis.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a plan to “combat domestic terrorism” and investigate violent extremism online following the mass shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo over the weekend.

“NEW: We’re proposing a comprehensive plan to combat domestic terrorism, strengthen state gun laws, & investigate social media platforms promoting violent extremism. In wake of the racist act of terror in Buffalo, New York will lead the charge to confront this epidemic head-on,” Hochul tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

Hochul ordered a new unit led by State Police to track violent extremism online and investigate social media companies that allow for hate speech to be posted on the platforms, the New York Post reported.

The announcement Wednesday includes an executive order requiring the State Police to seize weapons under the state’s “red flag law” from people determined to be a threat to themselves or others.

Portuguese angered at influx of Californians who import their problems with them: report

A story titled “Welcome to Portugal, the new expat haven. Californians, please go home,” reports that the number of Americans living in Portugal has risen by 45% in the past year with many of those Americans moving from California in order to escape high housing costs, pandemic lockdowns, and “Trumpian politics” in the United States.

The article explains that “resentment of newcomers is growing” in Portugal as California expats have become the “root of questions over gentrification, income disparities and immigration.”

Portuguese activists have reportedly taken to the streets to protest the gentrification caused by Americans, many of them Californians, who have moved into the neighborhood and caused skyrocketing rent and evictions.

Prosecutor Brittain Shaw set the stage for the jury, telling the 12 jurors and four alternates during opening argument that “Sussmann’s actions were part of ‘a plan to create an October surprise on the eve of a presidential election’ and to get the FBI to investigate, arguing the plan ‘largely succeeded.’”

Sussmann and Joffe “leaked the Alfa-Bank allegations to the New York Times,” Shaw continued, but “when that wasn’t published immediately, Sussmann brought a sense of urgency to the FBI about the media being on the verge of running a story.”

According to prosecutors, “the FBI getting involved would make the story ‘more attractive’ to the press” and “Sussmann’s goal was to ‘inject’ the FBI into a presidential election.”

Biden DOJ Clears Hunter Biden Cronies in Foreign Agent Case

Prosecutors informed an attorney for Blue Star Strategies that they plan to close the investigation, the Washington Post reported. The attorney, former Obama DOJ official Peter Kadzik, said that prosecutors found no wrongdoing on the part of Blue Star, which was founded by former Clinton administration officials Sally Painter and Karen Tramontano.

Blue Star Strategies resolved the case in part by retroactively registering as a foreign agent of Burisma. In the disclosure, reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Painter and Tramontano said they arranged two meetings between State Department officials and a lawyer for Zlochevsky in order to find out the U.S. government’s position toward the Burisma owner.

Hunter Biden has yet to register as a foreign agent of Ukraine even though he discussed Burisma with at least one State Department official, Amos Hochstein.

A Texas church pastor who criticized a local city promotion of the LGBT agenda has found out his congregation is being evicted from a building members had been renting on a month-to-month lease for several years.

The report of the attack on the Christians, apparently for their pastor’s expression of biblical values, is documented at the Federalist.

The report explains the promotion is a mural that drew the criticism of Pastor Bradley J. Helgerson and some members of the Church on the Square.

It was created through a program involving Georgetown Independent School District, the city council and the city’s Arts and Culture Board. They display the work of one student artist a year under a program that allows $500 for that.

JPMorgan analysts say you’ll be paying $6 per gallon for gas this Summer

As the average price for gasoline reached $6 per gallon in California on Tuesday, analysts at JPMorgan are warning that price could be the norm everywhere in the country by the end of summer.

The national average price of gas is now at a record high of $4.57 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association. That number is a 16 cent increase from the average last week, a 48 cent increase over last month, and nearly $1.50 more expensive than the national average last year, which was $3.04.

Every state now has an average gas price above $4 per gallon, with Georgia, Kansas, and Oklahoma catching up to the rest of the country as of Tuesday.

Prices are expected to continue to rise as the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine disrupts international supply chains while at home, the Biden administration has canceled oil and gas lease sales. With more Americans expected to travel for work or vacation over the summer, a likely increase in demand for gas could push prices up even higher.

State Department Ices Out Military Spouses

Blackburn and Hassan are investigating the State Department over the policy shift, which was issued in a little-noticed change to the agency’s employment guidelines. It is unclear why the State Department tightened restrictions on those trying to work overseas, particularly in light of the coronavirus pandemic, which massively affected the State Department’s workforce.

The lawmakers allege the Biden administration is essentially denying “all telework requests for federal employees assigned to or near military installations.” They wrote to Secretary of State Antony Blinken requesting the State Department provide a host of documents related to the policy change.

The shift in policy comes at a delicate time for federal workers as coronavirus restrictions wane and employees return to their offices. The federal government faces employee shortages and other complications as a result of the COVID vaccine mandate, to which an unknown number of federal employees have objected. Those who are unvaccinated have been barred from their offices in some cases and forced to take leaves of absence.

Deadly Immunity – Government Cover-Up Of A Mercury/Autism Scandal

The agency had issued no public announcement of the session — only private invitations to fifty-two attendees. There were high-level officials from the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration, the top vaccine specialist from the World Health Organization in Geneva and representatives of every major vaccine manufacturer, including GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Wyeth and Aventis Pasteur.

All of the scientific data under discussion, CDC officials repeatedly reminded the participants, was strictly “embargoed.” There would be no making photocopies of documents, no taking papers with them when they left.

The federal officials and industry representatives had assembled to discuss a disturbing new study that raised alarming questions about the safety of a host of common childhood vaccines administered to infants and young children. According to a CDC epidemiologist named Tom Verstraeten, who had analyzed the agency’s massive database containing the medical records of 100,000 children, a mercury-based preservative in the vaccines — thimerosal — appeared to be responsible for a dramatic increase in autism and a host of other neurological disorders among children.

“I was actually stunned by what I saw,” Verstraeten told those assembled at Simpsonwood, citing the staggering number of earlier studies that indicate a link between thimerosal and speech delays, attention-deficit disorder, hyperactivity and autism. Since 1991, when the CDC and the FDA had recommended that three additional vaccines laced with the preservative be given to extremely young infants — in one case, within hours of birth — the estimated number of cases of autism had increased fifteenfold, from one in every 2,500 children to one in 166 children.

During his interview on the “All-In” podcast, the billionaire said that Crazy Joe’s administration, for 18 months, hadn’t accomplished anything but big spending bills that boosted inflation, according to The Washington Times.

The Tesla CEO also argued that if the government keeps issuing checks, it will eventually lead to inflation and other serious problems. This is what happened when Congress issued many checks during the coronavirus pandemic.

“If the government could just issue massive amounts of money and deficits didn’t matter, then why don’t we just make the deficit 100 times bigger. Various countries have tried this experiment multiple times. Have you seen Venezuela?” Musk continued.

US citizen, 4 Chinese intelligence officers charged with spying on pro-democracy activists, dissidents

Prosecutors say New York resident Shujun Wang, 73, worked with four members of China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS), reporting to them about members of a pro-democracy group that he started in Queens.

The indictment alleges that Wang acted as an agent of the People’s Republic of China from at least 2005 until March 16, 2022, under MSS control, and “used his position … within the Chinese diaspora community in the New York metropolitan area to collect information about Chinese dissidents, human rights leaders and democracy advocates in the United States and elsewhere and to pass that information to the PRC govemment[.]”

Federal authorities say that Chinese officials instructed Wang to target people and groups that supported causes such as Uyghurs, Tibet, Taiwanese independence, and democracy for Hong Kong.

Biden announced Natasha Merle’s nomination along with seven other federal judicial nominees in January, aiming to fulfill a “promise to ensure that the nation’s courts reflect the diversity that is one of our greatest assets as a country,” the White House said at the time.

Merle is the deputy director of litigation at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (NAACP LDF) and has recently taught courses on racial justice and racial equity at Columbia University and New York University.

Merle was listed as a recommended judicial nominee on the website of People’s Parity Project, a nationwide “network of law students and new attorneys organizing to unrig the legal system and build a justice system that values people over profits.”

The organization, which has endorsed multiple progressive candidates who support “environmental justice” and “racial justice,” set up a “Trump Accountability Team” that pushes for law students to harass law schools and law firms that hire Trump administration lawyers.

An MSNBC guest said Democrats can win elections by branding Republicans as racist during Tuesday’s episode of “Deadline: The White House with Nicolle Wallace.”

Donny Deutsch, podcast host of “On Brand,” claimed “23% of Republican males are okay with white nationals, white supremacist views,” and urged Democrats to “brand” Republicans as “racist” in order to win elections.

The podcast host told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace that the Great Replacement Theory is the “Republican Racist Replacement Theory.”

“What the Democrats need to do — and it’s so obvious at this point — is brand then with it, is basically take this Replacement Theory and now make it the Republican Racist Replacement Theory,” Deutsch said. “Make every Republican answer, ‘Do you believe in it or not?’ Brand every Republican. This is the party of replacement theory. Take what is a sliver [of the Republican Party] … and make it the entire raison d’être of the Republican Party.”
