If you happened to be scrolling on TikTok on Monday, you may have come across a video of a woman telling her story about being punched in the face as she walked down the street. And then scrolling further, you may have come across another. And then another. So just what’s going on in the city all of a sudden that women are being punched in the face for no reason?
Content creator and influencer, Halley shared a video on Monday morning telling her disturbing story of how she was just punched in the face while walking down the street. The evidence, a large egg on the right side of her forehead, told just as much of the story as she did.
“You guys. I was literally just walking and a man came up and punched me in the face,” she began the video that quickly went viral with more than 21.3 million views. “It hurts so bad. I can’t even talk. Literally, I fell to the ground, and now this giant goose egg is forming, and I’m like, oh my God. So crazy.”
More than 10,000 comments quickly flooded the comment section of the video. While many wanted to know if the police were called and if she’s okay, others shared that they also had a similar issue happen recently.
“It happened to me as well, a whole slap because he didn’t like my hat,” one person shared. Another added, “OMG I saw someone else post the same thing happened to them last week.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly “new”—it’s more about it spreading, and us finally catching wind of it. This is the grim reality of New York City now: a violent, unsafe cesspool where danger is literally lurking around every corner.

2 US Army Apache Helicopters Crash Within 48 Hours
Then on Wednesday, a Boeing AH-64 Apache from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division crashed on Fort Carson, Colorado in a southern training area at around 6:30 p.m. during a training exercise, the Army said in a statement.
The latest incidents follow a series of crashes involving Apache helicopters including one in Utah and another in Mississippi in February, the latter of which claimed the lives of the two pilots onboard.
In 2023, 30 service members were killed and over 40 were wounded in helicopter accidents, Business Insider reported.

Taliban Vows It Is Returning To Stoning Women To Death In Public
“You say it’s a violation of women’s rights when we stone them to death,” said Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, according to The Telegraph. “But we will soon implement the punishment for adultery. We will flog women in public. We will stone them to death in public.”
“These are all against your democracy but we will continue doing it,” he continued. “We both say we defend human rights – we do it as God’s representative and you as the devil’s.”
The publication said that these remarks are the most extreme that he has made since the Biden administration effectively handed over control of Afghanistan to the Taliban during President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdraw from the country in August 2021.

Suspect Julio Pascual Sejas, 41, of Arlington, was arrested after an hourslong manhunt.
The gunman fired three shots through the door of the day care center in the 8500 block of Bauer Drive, Wright said. He had tried to speak with a woman with whom he had a relationship, but she refused to open the door to him.

In more than two decades of service to the Border Patrol, Lavalee said he has never experienced this type of migrant surge on the northern border.
The station chief told the reporters that most of the migrants they encounter are not looking to surrender.
“Here, we’re not seeing the same prevalence of individuals requesting either asylum or wanting to be caught,” Lavelle told the reporters.
“The people here that we’re seeing for the most part, they’re trying to find that seam. They’re trying to find that vulnerability and come into the United States without detection.”

“Photos showing violence and death can be newsworthy or important when they humanize the dead or galvanize the public,” senior fellow at the Tel Aviv Institute, Hen Mazzig, wrote in a post on X Thursday. “The ‘winning’ photo does neither; it only further dehumanizes Shani, retraumatizes her family, and legitimizes Hamas’s actions under the guise of journalistic neutrality.”
“There is a dead body of a partially unclothed human being, a young woman who was brutally murdered and probably raped. This cannot be real. Please remove this photo,” one user wrote, according to the Jerusalem Post. Another wrote, “She has a name. Shani Louk. Her family specifically requested that we remember her laughing and living. Take this down and show some respect. If you want to post our Shani, find a photo she consented to.”
Dashcam video shows cement truck plowing into Texas school bus, killing boy and man
The video, from front-facing and side-facing cameras, shows the cement truck veering across double yellow lines and crashing almost head-on with the bus, causing the bus to roll over.
Just before impact, someone can be heard crying out, and, as the bus hits the ground, a fireball appears to explode while crash debris can be seen flying around.
Ulises Rodriguez Montoya, five, who was riding the bus, died, as did 33-year-old Ryan Wallace, who was driving a 2024 Hyundai behind the bus and plowed into it. Wallace was a doctoral student at the University of Texas, according to the Austin American-Statesman.
