Exclusive: Gaetz Asks Austin and Milley Why Drag Queen Shows are Still Happening on Military Bases

Gaetz wrote in a letter to Austin and Milley regarding an upcoming “family friendly” drag queen event at Nellis Air Force Base scheduled for June 1, “In this latest outright attack on children, this event is being advertised as having no minimum age requirement.”
He added: “You both testified before the House Armed Service Committee stating: ‘drag shows and drag events are not something the DoD supports or fund’ and ‘I’d like to take a look at that material … I don’t agree with that, these things shouldn’t be happening.’ Given those statements, has this drag event scheduled for June 1, 2023, on Nellis Air Force Base been reviewed and approved by either of you?” he asked.

Franklin Graham at Christian media convention: Every ‘demon from hell’ has been ‘turned loose’ in society

“We’re living in a cancel culture, and [big corporations] want to destroy Christian organizations,” he also said. “They want us to shut our mouths. They don’t want to hear from us.”
Graham urged Christian organizations to prepare to defend themselves against the growing cancel culture in business, insurance, banking and technology, and challenged them to continue sharing the hope of Jesus Christ in the face of increasingly difficult circumstances.
Noting that if one “doesn’t talk about sin” or “preach the gospel” then that person doesn’t have anything to worry about in society, he added, “But if you’re going to try to proclaim the gospel, they’re going to try to shut you up.”
Heartbroken mom of 20-year-old who was allegedly killed by MS-13 gang member sends fiery message to Biden

A Maryland mother, whose daughter was raped and killed by an alleged MS-13 gang member, is set to testify before Congress on immigration after she says the White House let her daughter down over her tragic death.
Tammy Nobles lost her autistic 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton, after she was reportedly strangled to death by an illegal immigrant last year. She shared a heart-wrenching message for the Biden White House on border security and illegal immigration during “Fox & Friends First.”
“If there was a more secured border and individuals coming here was properly vetted, my daughter would still be alive today,” Nobles told Ashley Strohmier on Tuesday. “They let her down.”

Russia says it has pushed back and ‘destroyed’ Belgorod cross-border attackers

Russia said Tuesday that its armed forces had beaten back and then wiped out a group of militants and military hardware that were dispatched to its southern Belgorod region from Ukraine.
The incursion was the most serious attack on Russian soil since the beginning of Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine, prompting Russian authorities to declare an “anti-terror regime” and evacuate nine border villages.
The announcement of the incursion came after Kyiv said Russian forces pummelled the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro with missiles and drones overnight.
Indonesia’s Jokowi hosts Iranian leader days after attending G-7

Widodo hosted Raisi as a state guest in a ceremony at the presidential palace outside the Indonesian capital. Indonesia and Iran drew closer in trade during the summit, as the two sides signed documents concerning bilateral cooperation.
The timing of this meeting suggests that Widodo seeks to highlight a neutral diplomatic agenda that strikes a balance between Russia, Ukraine and the West.
During the joint press conference following the summit, the Iranian president said both sides agreed to a goal of lifting bilateral trade to $20 billion annually. Widodo and Raisi confirmed plans to enhance collaboration in energy, medicine, food, science and technology.
Widodo has been lobbying other nations to invest in Indonesia, looking to turn his country into an advanced economy by 2045. Indonesia’s status as the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation aids in forming business partnerships with Middle Eastern countries.
Iranian Women Protest Inside Evin Prison Against Wave Of Executions

According to reports on social media accounts published on May 23, some of the most well-known female political prisoners, including Sepideh Gholian, Bahareh Hedayat, Faezeh Hashemi, and Narges Mohammadi, participated in a rare political protest inside the prison, with each issuing statements condemning the wave of executions.
Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee, another prisoner, said: “The female political prisoners of Evin Prison held a ceremony on Saturday [May 20] in the women’s ward courtyard to protest the recent executions, including the execution of two people in Arak Prison on charges of blasphemy, and the three recent executions in Isfahan.”
Iraee, who in April was sentenced to seven years in prison for crimes “against the regime,” said that “the nature of this regime is to physically eliminate its opponents, critics, and those who protest against its policies. Our silence is an endorsement of the shamelessness of the perpetrators and complicit in sharpening the blades of the gallows.”
It was not clear whether the women were punished for the protest.
Moscow Court Extends Pretrial Detention For U.S. Journalist Held On Spying Charges

The Lefortovo district court in Moscow ruled on May 23 that Gershkovich must remain in custody until at least August 30. The hearing was held behind closed doors. Gershkovich’s current pretrial detention term expires on May 29.
Washington has declared Gershkovich to be wrongfully detained and demanded his immediate release.
The reporter’s detention comes at a time when relation between Moscow and Washington are at their lowest point since the end of the Cold War over the Kremlin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Gershkovich was arrested in Russia’s Urals city of Yekaterinburg in late March. Since then, Moscow has allowed only one consular visit from a U.S. official, Ambassador Lynne Tracy. It has twice denied Gershkovich consular access, including a request for a meeting on May 25.

Biden Administration Rebuffs Israel Over New West Bank Settlement

The former settlements were evacuated in 2005 due to the ‘disengagement’ law which removed Israeli forces from the Gaza strip and saw the evacuation of several Gaza settlements as well as others in the northern occupied West Bank.
Last December, Israeli lawmakers introduced legislation to lift the ban and reestablish four of the former settlements.
Back in January, Israel’s High Court gave Netanyahu’s government 90 days to justify its reason for having not dismantled the Homesh settlement and complied with the Disengagement Law.
Netanyahu’s government was already planning to lift segments of the law as part of a long-term plan to legalize settlements affected by the law, including the one at the Homesh outpost.
Russian PM arrives in China for talks with Xi Jinping

Mishustin arrived late Monday in Shanghai, the ministry said, where he was greeted at the airport by Moscow’s ambassador to China Igor Morgulov and Beijing’s top diplomat to Russia Zhang Hanhui.
He will take part in a Russian-Chinese Business Forum and visit a petrochemical research institute in Shanghai, the Kremlin said, as well as hold talks with “representatives of Russian business circles.”
That forum has invited a number of sanctioned Russian tycoons — including from the key fertiliser, steel and mining sectors — as well as Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who handles energy issues, Bloomberg reported.
China last year became the top energy customer for Russia, whose gas exports had otherwise plummeted after a flurry of Western sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine.

Johnson reacts after he is referred to police over new claims he broke lockdown rules

Boris Johnson’s office released a new statement moments ago amid widespread reporting of the news that police are “assessing” fresh claims that the former PM broke lockdown rules (see post at 18.03).
In a punchy statement, his spokesperson labelled these fresh allegations “totally untrue”.
They said that lawyers have advised the events in question were lawful, and added that Mr Johnson was not contacted before the referral to police and the priviliges committee was made, which they described as “bizarre and unacceptable.”
The spokesperson continued: “For whatever political purpose, it is plain that a last ditch attempt is being made to lengthen the privileges committee investigation as it was coming to a conclusion and to undermine Mr Johnson.
Donald Trump appears virtually in Manhattan court over hush money case

The order prevents Trump from disseminating evidence to third parties or posting on social media, and that certain, sensitive material shared by prosecutors be kept only by his lawyers.
Mr Merchan has made clear that the order should not be construed as a gag order, and the former president, who has a “special” status, has a right to publicly defend himself.
Trump is the first former US president to face criminal charges in court, even as he makes a bid to retake the White House in 2024.
TIME’S UP: Will Congress FINALLY stand against the IRS & FBI?
A second IRS whistleblower has emerged, sharing with Congress concerns about the handling of Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes and tax fraud schemes.
This IRS agent — who joins the first whistleblower, his or her former supervisor — was ‘ousted without explanation last week,’ the New York Post reports.
So now with two IRS whistleblowers ready to speak out AND with at least three FBI whistleblowers speaking out about retaliation last week, will Congress FINALLY take a stand against these corrupt and all-powerful agencies?

Senate Democrats Confirm Radical Leftist Judge Who Called Christian Organizations “Hate Groups”

Abudu had worked as a strategic litigation director for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a disgraced far-left organization that has repeatedly been forced to retract its designations of mainstream conservative and religious organizations as “hate groups.”
SPLC was also cited in the controversial leaked FBI memo which targeted “radical-traditionalist Catholics” for surveillance. FBI officials and Attorney General Merrick Garland denounced the memo as inappropriate after the public was made aware of it.
CatholicVote Director of Government Affairs Tom McClusky had warned against nominating Abudu.
“Americans should be deeply concerned over the alliance between the Biden administration and the Southern Poverty Law Center, a self-professed civil rights group infamous for its aggressive targeting of conservative and religious organizations,” McClusky wrote in a March column for The Washington Times:
Report: Treasury Asking Agencies to Delay Payments

As the debt ceiling impasse between President Joe Biden and GOP members of Congress continues, the U.S. Treasury is asking federal agencies if they can make payments “at a later date” to avoid a possible default in early June.
Sources told the Washington Post that the move is an attempt by the Biden administration and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to buy time before the United States runs out of money to pay its obligations for the first time in history.
The memo asked the agency to update Treasury on all “deposits and disbursements” between $50 million to $500 million at least two days in advance, and five days before making payments over $500 million, the report said.
Yellen sent another letter Monday to Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reiterating her position that the Treasury’s funds will dry up in early June, possibly by June 1, if the debt limit is not raised allowing the nation to borrow enough to pay its bills.
Debt Talks Resume, Sides Far Apart as Default Looms

GOP lead negotiator Rep. Garret Graves, R-La., lamented there’d been little progress so far.
“I don’t think things are going well,” Graves told reporters Tuesday. “They are refusing to truly change the trajectory, to truly reduce spending, and that is a red line.”
McCarthy himself echoed the grim mood.
“There are 9 days left for Democrats to meet the deadline, but since President Biden ignored this debt crisis for more than 100 days — make no mistake — any default would be the Biden Default,” McCarthy tweeted Tuesday morning.
Graves told CNN that going into Tuesday talks, the sides are “still far apart.”
RFK Jr Slams ‘Political Weaponization Of The FBI To Destroy A Sitting President’

RFK Jr. was responding to journalist Matt Taibbi’s reporting on the Durham report, which effectively exonerated President Trump once and for all from bogus charges of Russian collusion, concluding that the FBI had no grounds at all to open an investigation.
“This is no partisan skirmish,” Kennedy tweeted, adding “It is about the political weaponization of the FBI to destroy a candidate and then a sitting President. It’s about a matrix of lies so elaborate as to make a mockery of the democratic ideal of an informed citizenry.”
Kennedy also got the knives out for the media for being complicit in perpetuating the Russian collusion nonsense for years.
“Maybe most alarming of all, the Durham investigation reveals the abject complicity of the mainstream press, which has yet to admit they were taken in by the big lie, propagated it, and now continues to permit those lies to stand as truth,” Kennedy stated.
