‘This should not be happening:’ Illegal alien from El Salvador charged in murder of Maryland mother of five

Illegal immigrant Victor Martinez-Hernandez murdered Rachel Morin by is licensed under Facebook

Gahler went on to say, “Once in our country, and likely emboldened by his anonymity, he brutally attacked a nine-year-old girl and her mother during a home invasion in March 2023 in Los Angeles. And as everyone I believe is aware, that was our first DNA match linking Rachel’s case to the one in Los Angeles.”

Sheriff Gahler then shifted his comments towards the invasion at the Southern border.

“We are 1800 miles north of the southern border. And American citizens are not safe because of their failed immigration policies,” Gahler said speaking about the White House and members of Congress.

He continued, “This is the second time in two years that an innocent Harford County woman has lost her life to a criminal in our country illegally. In both cases, they are suspects from El Salvador with ties to criminal gangs. This should not be happening.”

Gahler emphasized that Martinez-Hernandez “did not come to this country to make a better life for him or his family, he came here to escape the crimes he committed in El Salvador. He came here to murder Rachel and God-willing, no one else. But that should have never been allowed to happen.”

The invasion at the Southern border continues to get worse. According to the Customs and Border Patrol website, as of April 30, 2024, there had already been 1,520,502 encounters at the Southern border.

This is more than half of the total number of encounters throughout all of 2023. And these are only physical encounters. This does not account for those crossing into the country illegally as those are not easily tracked and often go unaccounted for all together, until tragedy strikes.

FBI shows up at home of Texas nurse who opposes ‘transgender medicine’

While the Justice Department has vehemently denied allegations of a weaponized federal government, a new video published by Christopher Rufo along with a whistleblower’s testimony belied even Attorney General Merrick Garland’s claims.

Tuesday, writing for the City Journal, the senior fellow of the Manhattan Institute shared details of nurse Vanessa Sivadge who’d accepted a position at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2021 only to find herself aiding in exposing an alleged illegal effort to continue practicing chemical castration of minors.

As a result of her role in blowing the whistle on doctors at TCH, she received a visit from two FBI agents at her home, seen in a video shared by Rufo on social media with the caption,

“This is where we are now: The Biden Administration sent two FBI agents to intimidate a nurse who told the truth about the child sex-change program at Texas Children’s Hospital. The regime is mobilizing to threaten and imprison anyone who opposes ‘transgender medicine.’”…

Seattle Police recruiting illegal immigrants to fill depleted ranks

The city of Seattle is attempting to mitigate its police staffing crisis by recruiting “Dreamers” — individuals protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This Obama-era initiative offers migrants who illegally entered the U.S. as minors a chance to defer deportation and legally work in the country.

Historically, stringent requirements barred DACA recipients from law enforcement careers due to citizenship and firearm possession regulations.

However, recent developments have shifted this landscape. Last year, the U.S. Justice Department, along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), clarified that DACA recipients could carry firearms and ammunition in line with their duties, paving the way for their inclusion in law enforcement roles.

This move by the Seattle Police Department, announced through their LinkedIn page, comes in response to a critical depletion of its force. A report by KUOW highlighted the severe reduction in staff, with current numbers at their lowest since the 1990s — a dire situation for public safety.

The department’s updated qualification guidelines now reflect this inclusive approach. The eligibility criteria list U.S. citizenship, legal permanent residency, or DACA status as potential qualifiers for applicants. This change not only aims to replenish the diminished ranks but also serves as a progressive step towards integrating Dreamers into more aspects of civic duty and public responsibility…

Woman wanted in connection to fatal shooting of 2 in southern Utah surrenders

Collin Troy Bailey, 28, who is currently transitioning to a woman and goes by Mia Bailey, has been arrested, according to St. George police.

Some St. George residents in the area of 2800 East and 1000 South say they watched as Bailey was surrounded and eventually surrendered without further incident to officers about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Residents say a helicopter circled the area around Bloomington Hills toward the river around the Fort Pearce wash, apparently searching the field for Bailey, for most of the night through Wednesday morning.

Bailey was wanted in connection to the deaths of a man and women who were discovered inside a Washington City home.

Police called off the shelter in place around 8:30 a.m., but advised neighbors to be aware of their surroundings.

“What we want to remind the public is, (Bailey) has not been found. She needs to be found.”

Number of Americans struggling because of higher prices grows

Monmouth University released a poll Wednesday showing 46% of Americans are “currently struggling to remain where they are financially.”

That figure is the highest point recorded by this pollster since President Joe Biden took office and far higher than during his predecessor’s term.

Prices have risen about 20% since the president took office, a huge increase across all kinds of goods and services. Now, inflation is rising much slower than the breakneck pace earlier in Biden’s term.

“Even with a declining inflation rate, prices continue to be much higher than they were four years ago,” Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, said in the report. “That’s the metric that has really mattered to many Americans over the past two years. Economic concerns may not be the top motivating factor for all voters but it defines the contours of this year’s election.”

However, prices continue to rise faster than economists would like. Inflation slowed last month, a reprieve after months of elevated inflation. Whether that slowing is a blip on the radar or a turning point remains to be seen.

For now, Biden has to grapple with the major price increase during his term this election cycle.

Survey: 3,200 stores to close this year, up 24% from last year

Retailers are closing nearly 3,200 stores this year, a 24% increase from 2023, as more companies cite inflation and high costs for their bankruptcies and shutdowns.

Key Details:

  • Nearly 3,200 store closures in 2024, up 24% from last year.
  • Major closures include Family Dollar, Tupperware, and Rue21.
  • Inflation and retail theft are primary reasons for the closures.

Diving Deeper:

The retail sector is facing a significant downturn, with nearly 3,200 stores expected to close in 2024, marking a 24% increase from the previous year. This surge in closures is attributed to mounting inflation and escalating costs, forcing many companies into bankruptcy or operational shutdowns.

A recent analysis by CoreSight Research reveals that U.S. drug stores and pharmacies have led the way, resulting in 8 million square feet of shuttered retail space. Additionally, the research highlights that retailers are struggling with inventory loss and declining customer bases due to increasing incidents of retail theft, often linked to organized retail crime.

Russia And North Korea Sign Partnership Deal, Prompting Fears Of ‘Strongest Ties Since Cold War’

During a Wednesday summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly signed a new partnership deal that includes a mutual vow of consistent aid if either country is attacked.

Kim further emphasized that this was the “strongest-ever treaty” between the two countries, putting the partnership at the level of an alliance. He also said that North Korea stands by Russia in its war against Ukraine.

Additionally, Putin remarked that this was a “breakthrough document,” reflecting a shared desire to move relations to a much higher level.

Along with China, Russia has provided reinforcement for Kim’s efforts to advance his nuclear arsenal, repeatedly blocking U.S.-led efforts to impose new U.N. sanctions on the North over its weapons tests.

Tensions on the Korean Peninsula are also at their highest point in several years, with the increase of both Kim’s weapons tests and increased combined military exercises that involved the U.S., Japan and South Korea.

Hundreds Die from Extreme Heat During Hajj Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia

Hundreds of people died during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as the faithful faced intense high temperatures at Islamic holy sites in the desert kingdom, officials said Wednesday as people tried to claim their loved ones’ bodies.

Saudi Arabia has not commented on the death toll amid the heat during the pilgrimage, required of every able Muslim once in their life, nor offered any causes for those who died. However, hundreds of people had lined up at the Emergency Complex in Al-Muaisem neighborhood in Mecca, trying to get information about their missing family members.

One list circulating online suggested at least 550 people died during the five-day Hajj.

A medic who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss information not released publicly by the government said that the names listed appeared genuine. That medic and another official who also spoke on condition of anonymity said they believed at least 600 bodies were at the facility.

Residents in Arkansas and Kansas have been put on high alert as authorities search for an Alabama man they say is wanted in connection with three homicides in Oklahoma.

Drake is a person of interest in three homicides from two different carjackings in Oklahoma.

One of those occurred on Tuesday, when authorities in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, were called to a double homicide in Gans, roughly 100 miles southeast of Tulsa. According to Nexstar’s KFOR, a man and a woman were found dead inside a business “with injuries consistent with homicide.”

Drake is described as a white man standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. Images provided by the police department, seen above, show Drake wearing a dark colored shirt, hat and sunglasses.

Police said Drake is believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who has seen Drake is asked to contact the Morrilton Police Department at 501-354-0131.

Mexican cartel worked with US-based group linked to Chinese underground banking to launder drug money: DOJ

press release from the DOJ stated that “Operation Fortune Runner” uncovered that a money laundering network connected to the Sinaloa drug cartel coordinated with a money transmitting group based in San Gabriel Valley, California, to process “large amounts of drug proceeds in U.S. currency in the Los Angeles area.” According to federal authorities, the California-based group has ties to Chinese underground banking

Chinese and Mexican law enforcement agencies arrested fugitives named in the DOJ’s superseding indictment after they fled the U.S., the department stated.

Twenty-four defendants are facing multiple charges, including “one count of conspiracy to aid and abet the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine, one count of conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and one count of conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business,” the department reported.

Edgar Joel Martinez-Reyes, 45, of East Los Angeles, was accused of using numerous strategies to conceal the money’s source, including trade-based money laundering schemes, “structuring” assets, and cryptocurrency.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of roughly $5 million in illicit drug proceeds, 302 pounds of cocaine, 92 pounds of methamphetamine, 3,000 Ecstasy pills, 44 pounds of psilocybin, ketamine, three rifles, and eight handguns.

‘Pandora’s Box’ of polyamory, child marriages possible under proposed California amendment, group warns

California state Sen. Scott Wiener (Scott Wiener )

Assembly Constitutional Amendment 5 (ACA 5), which aims to repeal Proposition 8’s language that states marriage is only “between a man and a woman,” was introduced by Democratic state Sen. Scott Wiener and Assemblymember Evan Low to protect same-sex marriages. If passed, in its place, the state constitution would provide that, “The right to marry is a fundamental right.”

“In a society like ours, you never can count on what people are willing to do for legal and financial and political reasons,” CFC President Jonathan Keller told Fox News Digital in an interview. “And ACA 5, again, eliminates any of those safeguards, and it opens up Pandora’s Box.”

“You could have siblings getting married. You could have nephews and nieces marrying uncles and aunts. You could have, potentially even mothers and fathers marrying each other, or mothers and children, or fathers and children marrying each other,” he said.

The concern comes as the Oakland City Council approved polyamorous relationships in April, protecting “diverse family structures” from discrimination. The Berkeley City Council passed a similar proposal in May, paving the way for more recognition of nontraditional relationships in the liberal Bay Area.

Keller said ACA 5 could be “a disaster” if enshrined into law, since California is one of the few states that child marriage remains legal.

Approximately 8,789 children in California ages 15 to 17 entered into marriage in 2021, according to data from the American Community Survey. Somerville and Cambridge, cities in Massachusetts, enacted laws that extend rights to nontraditional families as well in recent years…..

Democrat Fixer Marc Elias’ Firm Steps In To Stop ‘Disastrous Election System’ Fix

Russian dossier peddler and Democrat Party problem fixer Marc Elias, MSNBC / YOUTUBE

“In Nevada, by the state law, you are required to be registered where you actually live, where you sleep. Not where you work, not at a P.O. Box. So we’re trying to get elections officials to enforce the law,” Lauren Bis, PILF’s director of communication and engagement, says in a video tracking bad addresses in the Las Vegas area.

To that end, the foundation has filed a petition in Washoe County, Nevada’s second-most populous county, to force elections officials to investigate and fix commercial addresses on the voter roll. PILF investigators found addresses on the rolls reported as liquor stores, empty lots, and even the Nevada Gaming Control Board, among others.

Elias Law Group and a band of leftists have sought to intervene in PILF’s petition for a writ of mandamus, arguing that forcing Washoe election administrators to follow the law and clean up the county’s dirty voter rolls will “threaten” voting rights.

The would-be intervenors claim that their members and constituents would be forced to “expend substantial resources to educate voters and protect them from baseless attacks on their eligibility.”

As The Federalist recently reported, Bis was greeted with a lot of quizzical looks from employees at the casinos, fast-food restaurants, retailers, post offices, funeral homes, strip clubs, tattoo parlors, and jails where registered voters — at least according to Nevada’s dirty voter rolls — “resided.”

What PILF found was equal parts sad and hilarious, foundation President J. Christian Adams told me on “The Federalist Radio Hour.”…
