More Than 385,000 Illegal Migrants Evaded Arrest At The Southern Border Since October, Border Patrol Chief Says

Ortiz testified that 385,000 illegal migrants are the ones known to have gotten away and that the actual number is much higher. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered more than 870,000 migrants between October 2022 and January 2023.

Border Patrol agents recorded roughly 130,000 illegal migrant apprehensions in February, according to CBS News.

“We continue to refine that number. I’ve got to do a better job of accounting for the actual encounters,” Ortiz said in response to questions posed by Republican Florida Rep. Carlos Gimenez, adding that the number is likely about 10-20% more than what has been detected.

‘Empower Hotline’ launched for parents to report educators teaching CRT, gender ideology in Arizona public schools

The hotline will be staffed during regular business hours, according to a Department of Education press release. Parents are encouraged to contact the department to report any “school lessons that detract from teaching academic standards.”

After a parent reports a teacher through the hotline, the department will launch an investigation.

Horne noted that he realizes there “could be false charges made” or “misunderstandings.” However, if the department finds the teacher has taught an inappropriate lesson, he or she will be encouraged to stop.

“In extreme cases, the state board would have the power to take away their certification. In which case, they would have to be terminated,” Horne explained.

NBA owners have $10 billion in China, afraid to criticize Communist regime

AP Photo/Ng Han Guan

Owners of NBA teams have collectively invested more than $10 billion in Communist-controlled China, giving them a personal interest in a country increasingly at odds with the U.S. as the league’s lucrative business expands there.

NBA China now contributes about $150 million to the value of each of the league’s 30 teams, ESPN reported last year.

But that is only one part of that $10 billion figure, which also accounts for team owners’ various other financial ties to the world’s second-largest economy.

The unsettling viral video shows the group taking turns repeatedly punching and kicking the teen while at least one onlooker recorded what was happening on their cellphone.

No one is seen in the video intervening to help the teen who was being ganged up on.

During the 2020 election cycle, about 96% of SVB Financial Group’s contributions went to Democrat candidates or campaign groups, totaling $156,255 in donations, while only 4% of funds, $7,273, went to Republicans.

That same year, SVB Financial Group gave $66,748 to Biden’s campaign, $21,388 to DNC Services Corp and $7,786 to then-presidential candidate and now Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, according to OpenSecrets.

In 2022, SVB Financial Group gave $7,525 to Democratic House candidates, and $0 to GOP House candidates. On the Senate side, the group gave $20,187 to Senate Democratic campaigns and only $335 to Republicans.

About 77% of SVB’s total 2022 donations were to Democratic candidates and groups, while only 23% were contributions to the GOP.

Amid A Banking Crisis With The Segment Rated “Negative” – Here Are The Four Banks That Awarded Over $60 BILLION To The BLM Movement

The Center explained that “The BLM pressure campaigns, harassment, and moral blackmail also amounted to possibly the most lucrative shakedown of corporate America in its history.”

The database, which is the first of its kind, provides a comprehensive look at the financial support received by the BLM movement and related causes. The data shows that the vast majority of the funding has gone to organizations such as the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The banking sector is facing significant challenges, leading to a negative rating and a crisis. However, these banks had no problem in throwing money into woke ideologies and supporting the BLM movement besides the fact that BLM leaders were caught using the donations in making their life better and more luxurious!

Silicon Valley Bank Board Included Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton Donors

Federal investigators are now looking into the role the board may have played in the bank’s abrupt collapse, as the board members failed to prevent its failure.

Although there are 12 board members, several are under scrutiny for their donations and connections to Democrat politicians.

For example, director Kate Mitchell is a Clinton mega-donor who prayed at a shrine after Clinton’s 2016 loss to former President Donald Trump.

Next on the list of Democrat donor SVB board members is Garen K. Staglin, who owns a vineyard less than 15 minutes from the Pelosi family’s Napa Valley estate.

As the New York Post detailed:

He gave the Biden Victory Fund $10,000 in 2020, sent $54,000 to Clinton’s Hillary Victory Fund in 2016 (on top of $25,000 the previous year), backed Obama with $35,800 in 2011 and gave the Democratic National Committee $10,000 last year.

Some board members also donated to political action committees for Democrat Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), who sits on the Senate Banking Committee, the Post reported.

19-year-old man charged with attempted murder in shooting of NYC high school student

Cheick Coulibaly, 19, was charged with attempted murder and other raps.

Coulibaly – who was out on bail in a 2021 armed robbery case – allegedly shot the young victim several times in the torso, cops said. The teen had to undergo surgery but was expected to survive.

The bloodshed stemmed from a dispute that began two blocks north, involving four or five teenage boys, authorities said.

After being shot, the victim staggered to his school, The Maxine Greene High School for Imaginative Inquiry, police said.

Coulibaly, meanwhile, got away in a yellow cab that he had hailed – but quick-thinking witnesses tipped off cops, who were able to stop the taxi a block away and arrest him.

Commentary:

Privatize Air Traffic Control!

In America, air traffic control is run by the federal government. Since government doesn’t do anything well, our flight control technology is lousy.

Earlier this year, a government computer failure grounded flights nationwide. For decades, the FAA has promised to modernize the system.

But it never happens. Government at work. Private air traffic control works well in other countries.

China has hundreds of satellites targeting US, Space Force chief says

China has launched dozens of satellites in the past six months and the People’s Liberation Army now has 347 orbiting craft that can gather intelligence on American armed forces, according to the head of the U.S. Space Force.

Gen. Chance Saltzman told senators that Beijing was the ‘most immediate threat’ to U.S. operations as it develops lasers to disrupt satellite sensors, electronic warfare jammers and even builds craft that could grab and move rival orbiting platforms out of position.

It is all part of its plan for a fully modernized, world-class military designed to achieve China’s ‘Space Dream’ of being the most powerful nation in space by 2045, he said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s office announced that he will cut his visit to Berlin short and return to Israel on Thursday night as the IDF prepared on Wednesday afternoon to release information about a classified “security incident” which took place in northern Israel in recent days.

For over 48 hours following the detonation of an explosive device next to a vehicle near the Megiddo junction on Monday morning, the government has banned the press from publishing further details about the explosion and about at least one separate, unspecified incident which led to a road closure near the border with Lebanon on Monday evening.

Sherif al-Din, a resident of the village of Salem, was seriously injured in the explosion near Megiddo junction and transferred to Rambam Health Care Campus for further treatment.

As of Wednesday morning, al-Din was still in serious condition and sedated and intubated.

Illegal Migrant With Deportation Order Gets 32nd Criminal Conviction

The latest conviction for 51-year-old Sehin Cetinoglu related to crimes he committed in 2018 when, in financial difficulty, he stole a chequebook to obtain money illegally when he was unable to find a job, leading to complaints from at least nine different victims.

On January 31st police arrested the 51-year-old, who has been living in France for 41 years, and he appeared before a French judge in Caen on March 9th, trying to convince the magistrate that he had only committed the financial crimes to help his own family, La Manche Libre reports.

The judge, however, noted that along with having an existing deportation order, known as an OQTF in France, the 51-year-old had 31 prior criminal convictions and sentenced the Turkish national to six months in a French prison.

The issue of deportations and deportation orders of criminals in France has been a major topic of discussion for several months in the wake of the murder of a 12-year-old girl named Lola in Paris, allegedly by an Algerian woman with a deportation order.

Russia to try recovering downed US drone, as US vows to ‘protect our equities’

A race between the U.S. and Russia is underway to secure the debris of the drone that crashed into the Black Sea.

Russian officials announced Wednesday that operations were underway to collect the debris of the downed U.S. drone — the country has denied responsibility for the incident.

“The aircraft is U.S. property,” a U.S. defense official confirmed to Fox News. “We take the recovery very seriously but will not get into details right now.”

The Pentagon has not yet said how it will respond to the incident but warned Moscow against dangerous and escalatory behavior before the State Department then summoned Russia’s ambassador.

In opening remarks to the Ukraine Defense Contact Group Wednesday morning, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin addressed the issue and said, “Make no mistake: The United States will continue to fly and to operate wherever international law allows.”

While Western defense officials remain concerned over how this could escalate the war in Ukraine and potentially beyond its borders, retired U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Anthony J. Tata said the alleged attack was in part a response to a shift in the U.S.’s intelligence sharing policy with Ukraine.

China, Russia, Iran hold joint naval drills in Gulf of Oman

BEIJING (AP) — Naval forces from China, Iran and Russia — countries at odds with the United States — are staging joint drills in the Gulf of Oman this week, China’s Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

Other countries are also taking part in the “Security Bond-2023” exercises, the ministry said without giving details. Iran, Pakistan, Oman and the United Arab Emirates all have coastline along the waterbody lying at the mouth of the strategic Persian Gulf.

The exercises scheduled for Wednesday through Sunday come amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and China over a range of issues, including China’s refusal to criticize Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine and continuing support for the Russian economy.

China Is Now Challenging the International World Order, Says UK

The growing influence of China now represents a “challenge” to the world order, Rishi Sunak has admitted, with the UK leader now calling for Western nations to stand up to the increasingly powerful Eastern nation.

Sunak’s statement comes amid a newly agreed deal between the UK, U.S. and Australia which will see the former two nations supply the latter with nuclear submarines in an attempt to tip the military balance in the Indo-Pacific.

According to a report by the BBC, Sunak views the deal as proving the UK’s “commitment to global security” in a world that is ever-increasingly fraught with political tensions.

The decline brought shares to an all-time low. Concerns about the bank’s health and stability have been weighing on the stock for three months.

The most recent sell-off appeared to be triggered by remarks from the chairman of Saudi National Bank, the biggest shareholder of Credit Suisse, when asked if the Saudi bank was open to further capital injections.

“The answer is absolutely not, for many reasons outside the simplest reason, which is regulatory and statutory,” Chairman Ammar Al Khudairy said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

The nature of her work has not been revealed, but GCHQ has a strong relationship with its US equivalent, the National Security Agency.

EU MPs Agree to Force ‘Insane’ Green Building Rules on Member States

FREDERICK FLORIN/AFP via Getty Images

According to a report by Euractiv, internal resistance to the green agenda rework was not enough from preventing it from passing a vote by the EU parliament, with 343 members voting in favour, compared to the 216 who voted against.

Its passing was celebrated by hard left-Irish progressive Ciarán Cuffe, with the member of Ireland’s floundering Green Party being central in pushing the hardline rework through parliament.

“Next up: final talks with EU Member States & Commission,” he wrote online, describing the measure as aimed at “tackling 36 per cent of EU emissions”.

Opponents of the measure have described it as being an overly bureaucratic measure that unjustifiably takes power away from individual nation-states.

“Increasingly rampant, gluttonous and unrestrained, the EU is encroaching on the competences of the member states,” Markus Buchheit, an Alternative for Germany (AfD) MEP, said in a statement to Breitbart Europe describing the new rules as “insane”.

DeSantis rattles establishment GOP after saying US interest in Ukraine-Russia war is not ‘vital’

(Kathryn Gamble/Bloomberg via Getty Images)

DeSantis’ remarks, which came amid increasing speculation that he will enter the 2024 race for the White House, came in response to a series of questions from Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson to 2024 GOP candidates or hopefuls about their stance on the ongoing war between the two countries.

“While the U.S. has many vital national interests… becoming further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of them,” DeSantis told Carlson.

Noting that “peace” should be the objective in the war, the popular Sunshine State governor insisted the U.S. “should not provide assistance that could require the deployment of American troops or enable Ukraine to engage in offensive operations beyond its borders,” adding that providing F-16s and long-range missiles would be “off the table.”

DeSantis also noted that American “citizens are also entitled to know how the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being utilized in Ukraine” and knocked regime change policy as being “popular among the D.C. foreign policy interventionists,” suggesting Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s successor “would likely be even more ruthless.”

Tucker Carlson breaks down how neocons are losing their minds over Gov. DeSantis’ stance on Ukraine

Carlson posed six questions about Ukraine to declared 2024 candidates former President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, as well as prospective candidates former Vice President Mike Pence, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

In general, Trump, Ramaswamy, DeSantis, Noem, and Abbott fell into a camp leaning towards non-intervention in the conflict or limiting support to Ukraine; while Haley, Pence, Scott, and Christie fell into the more hawkish camp — with Pence being the most hardline.

Questionnaires were also sent to but not responded to by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and former National Security Advisor John Bolton.

The questions were:

  • Is opposing Russia in Ukraine a vital American national strategic interest?
  • What specifically is our objective in Ukraine, and how will we know when we’ve achieved it?
  • What is the limit of funding and materiel you would be willing to send to the government of Ukraine?
  • Should the United States support regime change in Russia?
  • Given that Russia’s economy and currency are stronger than before the war, do you believe that U.S. sanctions have been effective?
  • Do you believe the United States faces the risk of nuclear war with Russia?

Here is a summary of their responses to Carlson:
