April 29 (UPI) — “U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions vowed Friday to “devastate” the MS-13 street gang, which has been blamed for a string of homicides in New York.

Sessions, in a speech on Long Island with local police commissioners and sheriffs, said a crackdown on illegal immigration will help combat the gang, which has ties to El Salvador. He said the threat is similar to those by the Colombian cartels and the mafia. Long Island officials said the gang is responsible for 15 deaths in Suffolk County since early 2016, the most violent spat of killings linked on Long Island to MS-13 since the early 1990s.” More here. U.S. attorney general vows to ‘devastate’ MS-13 street gang

President Trump:

“President Donald Trump has been asked about the failure of several North Korean missile tests recently and why those launches keep blowing up.

Trump tells CBS’ “Face the Nation” television show on Sunday that he’d “rather not discuss it. But perhaps they’re just not very good missiles. But eventually, he’ll have good missiles.”

Trump also told the show he’s not going to talk about U.S. military options with North Korea because “we shouldn’t be announcing all our moves. It is a chess game. I just don’t want people to know what my thinking is. So eventually, he will have a better delivery system. And if that happens, we can’t allow it to happen.” more here. The Latest: Trump: We can’t let NKorea build better missiles

“The Trump administration’s push to overhaul tax laws might soon target a loophole used by some financial managers to lower their tax rates, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said on Sunday.

President Donald Trump campaigned before the Nov. 8 election to eliminate the so-called “carried interest” loophole, which is used by many financial managers to lower tax obligations. But a rough outline for a major tax overhaul released last week failed to mention the loophole.

Priebus, however, hinted that carried-interest could be on the chopping block and warned against analysts taking the view that financial managers would keep on benefiting from it.” More here. Trump could target ‘carried interest’ tax loophole: official
