On the road with rock legends KISS on their final world tour | 60 Minutes Australia

It might be difficult to believe, but American rock band KISS is now in its 50th year.

And to help celebrate the milestone the group invited Sarah Abo to Paris for a taste of their jet-set lifestyle and to show her how they’ve survived and thrived in a notoriously fickle industry.

Founding band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, who are now in their 70s, prove age is no barrier to successful showbiz careers, as they apply their over-the-top makeup and don their comic-book costumes to belt out their myriad hits.

And for KISS fans there’s more good news – not only is their music as loud as ever, they’re planning another visit to Australia.

The Perfect Storm Is About To Hit

It’s hard to remember any other time in history when a confluence of so many potentially catastrophic circumstances were simultaneously occurring in order to create the perfect storm upon all of humanity.

Here’s an example.  At a time when there are massive problems with the food supply chain, resulting in shortages of many everyday items, normally found on supermarket shelves, someone thinks it’s a really great idea to mix ethanol with the gas that fuels our cars in order to conserve dwindling supplies.  Good idea?  Not when you consider that ethanol is derived from corn which will further reduce food growth while significantly increasing prices to unprecedented levels.

But it’s not only that!  Given the constant emphasis on climate concerns, green alternatives and the need to lessen emissions, why would anyone think that ethanol, a corrosive fuel which damages plastic and fiberglass tanks as well as some engines not to mention its being less effective than traditional gasoline, is a good thing for the environment? In fact, we already know that ethanol blends can be responsible for toxic chemicals and greenhouse gases which cause significant levels of air pollution.  Why are those things suddenly unimportant?

According to court documents, surveillance video showed Tyrone Gray Jr., 24, and Dontarious Sylvester, 25, in an altercation at the Sole Stop store at the Mall at Tuttle Crossing, local WSYX reported. Sylvester reportedly hit Gray with a handbag before Gray allegedly took out a gun, fired off multiple rounds, and killed Sylvester.

The local station reported that a 911 call recording showed that Gray reported the incident, provided his name and description, and said he acted in self-defense. Columbus police reportedly said that between 15 and 20 people were in the store when it happened.

In addition to mall surveillance video, police said they also viewed cell phone footage.

New Ohio law allows teachers to carry guns in schools without a permit

Ohio’s permitless gun carry law for “qualifying” adults went into effect on Monday – a measure that would lift restrictions on school teachers, custodians and bus drivers from carrying firearms at work.

After Governor Mike DeWine announced he signed House Bill 99, which lowers the required training hours for armed personnel from 728 hours to 24 hours, DeWine said he still preferred law enforcement officers to carry the guns at schools.

Signed into law after 19 children and two teachers were killed at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, the legislation no longer makes it a requirement for Ohioans aged 21 and older to complete eight hours of the handgun training course to carry and conceal a firearm.

And it eliminates the requirement for gun carriers to tell police officers they have a concealed weapon on them, though they must say if they are asked.

Loudoun County circuit court judge James Plowman said the office of Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj (D.) was “deliberately misleading the Court and the public” about “a possible 12 burglary crime spree spanning 4 counties over 10 days.”

In a plea agreement, Biberaj’s office failed to note the offender had recently pleaded guilty to felonies and had pending charges and prior convictions as a minor, according to Plowman. Fox 5 on Saturday first reported on the judge’s order to remove Biberaj from the case.

“The Commonwealth is deliberately misleading the Court, and the public, in an effort to ‘sell’ the plea agreement for some reason that has yet to be explained,” Plowman wrote in his order.

Judge awards Home Depot victory after employee fired for wearing Black Lives Matter messaging

A government judge ruled on Friday in favor of Home Depot, dismissing a case brought by a former employee who was fired for refusing to remove a Black Lives Matter slogan from his work uniform.

The NLRB complaint accused Home Depot of having “discriminated” against the employee “for raising issues of racial harassment with coworkers and managers and displaying a Black Lives Matter slogan on his apron,” conduct the agency says is protected under the National Labor Relations Act.

Administrative law Judge Paul Bogas has dismissed the case.

In his ruling, Bogas explained that “BLM messaging is not inherently concerted,” and that BLM rhetoric lacks “an objective, and sufficiently direct, relationship to terms and conditions of employment.”

‘How to murder your husband’ writer sentenced for murdering husband

An Oregon judge has sentenced Nancy Crampton Brophy, a romance author who apparently foretold of her crime in an essay titled “How to murder your husband”, to life in prison for the shooting death of her late spouse.

Crampton Brophy, 71, was found guilty of second degree murder last month.

A jury found that she shot her husband of 26 years in 2018 for a $1.5m (£1.2m) life insurance pay-out.

Before her crime, Crampton Brophy had been a self-published author whose works of steamy romance and suspense include novels such as “The Wrong Husband” and “The Wrong Lover”.

Her late husband, Daniel Brophy, was a chef and respected teacher at the Oregon Culinary Institute.

The D.C. pride parade where Harris spoke Sunday featured an overwhelming display of sexual fetishism. Children were encouraged to watch and even participate as thousands of barely clothed individuals marched, “twerked,” and flaunted their sexuality in front of them.

In one video posted to social media, what appears to be a man with breasts, clothed in nothing but a bikini bottom, bent over and shook his rear at a police officer while the crowd, including children, cheered.

Representatives from District of Columbia Public Schools participated in the festival, and in another video a banner for Ross DCPS, an elementary school, can be seen in the parade.

GOP Rep. Jordan says Jan 6 committee altered evidence, ‘lied to the American people’

Calling the entire primetime presentation of the committee Thursday “choreographed,” Jordan, an Ohio lawmaker, said he does not trust what the panel is presenting and wants to “see all the depositions.”

“When you think about what this committee has done, never in the history of this country, in the history of the House of Representatives, has a minority leader not been able to put on a select committee that individuals he or she has selected,” said Jordan, adding that Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) has also sent a preservation letter to the committee requesting that all information be kept for review.

“We also know that this committee has altered evidence and lied to the American people about it, so much so that they had to issue a statement which says, we regret the error, which is government-speak for, we got caught lying,” also said Jordan, who has not complied with the committee’s subpoena to testify.

Two days before the Capitol breach on Jan. 6, 2021, then-President Donald Trump personally authorized the use of up to 20,000 National Guardsmen to support local law enforcement if requested.

But no request, as required by law, came from the Capitol police or from Mayor Muriel Bowser, says Kash Patel, who was serving as chief of staff at the Department of Defense at the time.

What really happened in the days leading up to Jan. 6?

In the Season 4 finale of Kash’s Corner, we’ll dive into the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, issues of censorship and national security, and what’s next in the Durham investigation.

Ventura, from the Daily Caller, discussed what he has witnessed at the southern border and why migrants are being incentivized to cross into the United States.

Ventura said there’s “massive” gaps throughout the border wall, so migrants are directed by coyotes and smugglers where to cross.

“We saw hundreds and hundreds. I encountered just in a couple of hours migrants from 11 different countries from Georgia, India, Russia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and even Afghanistan.

And I ran into massive amount of groups of single males, which you don’t really see down at the border,” he explained.

“It’s scary, I will tell you,” Mace said. “I had to look over my shoulder for months and also bolster up my own personal security. My kids were scared. I have two teenagers who live in that home.”

“We all should be on pins and needles watching this. We have had violence from antifa, I’m told anarchists or whatever across this country over the last two years,” Mace said. “We have the FBI who doesn’t categorize antifa, and so, we want – I want to know where homeland security is on this. Where is the FBI? What are we doing to protect the justices?”

The Senate unanimously passed Supreme Court Police Parity Act to bolster security for Supreme Court justices in wake of the leak, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not scheduled a vote on the legislation held up in the House of Representatives.

‘You’re Lifting the Secrets to Life’: Ross Kennedy on Dangers of China’s Agricultural Theft

In this special episode, we sat down with Ross Kennedy, founder of Fortis Analysis. He talks about the recent report by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission titled “China’s Interests in U.S. Agriculture: Augmenting Food Security through Investment Abroad.” What does this mean, not just for U.S. agriculture, but also national security?

Kennedy noted how expensive that theft can be: “Most people don’t realize that you could steal some kernels of corn or a few soybeans and perpetrate a multibillion-dollar industrial espionage campaign, but that’s exactly what what has happened. And that’s just one way of many in which that threat just continues to be something that a lot of people do worry about behind the scenes.”

But it doesn’t just impact Americans domestically, Kennedy said: “So for China to steal it from the U.S., develop indigenous versions of their own, and then export some of that to Africa—in the same way they would export construction technology for Belt and Road, you could also do Belt and Road, with food, and with energy.

Young people will never get to live the life we enjoyed. We cannot allow this to pass.

Here Are the Black Lives That Simply Don’t Matter: 50 Massacred in Nigerian Church

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, Islamic terrorists stormed the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ondo, Nigeria, and massacred more than 50 Christians who were otherwise peacefully worshipping their God.

Videos, according to one report, “showed church worshippers lying in pools of blood while people around them wailed.”

The Christians of Nigeria are, in fact, being purged in a genocide, according to several NGOs (here and here, for instance). One Christian is killed every two hours in Nigeria.

According to an August 2021 report, since the Islamic insurgency began in earnest in July 2009 — first at the hands of the Islamic terrorist organization Boko Haram, and later by Fulani, Muslim herdsmen also motivated by jihadist ideology to seize Christian (“infidel”) land — more than 60,000 Christians have either been murdered during raids or abducted, never to be seen again.

During this same timeframe, approximately 20,000 churches and Christian schools were torched and destroyed by “Allahu Akbar”-screaming Muslims.
