A witness told the local station that the mother-of-two had been sitting outside chatting on the phone with her dog nearby when the man “came out of nowhere” and attacked her in front of neighbors and children.
Another witness, Matthew Amador, told KPRC that he heard the sound of children screaming and rushed outside with his sword and his phone.
“The perpetrator was checking her pulse, which was really bad. I saw him checking her pulse, and then he stabbed her three times. Then as I yelled, ‘Hey,’ he turned around and looked at me then ran,” Amador said. “I’ve never seen evil like that in my life.”
The stone-faced Simon then crumpled up the flier, which had been taped to a traffic sensor box in the heavily Jewish neighborhood, before chucking it into a garbage can and silently walking off, the footage showed.

Israel’s Army Radio reported that scores of family members and neighbors descended on the house, celebrating and singing “Am Israel Chai” (“The nation of Israel lives”), a popular patriotic song.
Megidish had been one of the soldiers staffing an observation post that was attacked by Hamas on October 7. Her rescue brings the number of known hostages down to 238, and provides a huge boost to hopes of rescuing more, as well as to national morale.
Real Admiral Dan Hagari, the spokesperson for the IDF, told reporters Monday evening that Megidish had been able to relay details of her capture and confinement to the military, and implied that these would be used in future rescues and operations. There were no IDF casualties in the operation.
The statements made in the fact sheet raise questions about whether the U.S. intends to use such destructive weapons against military opponents, despite claiming that they would be used for “deterrence and assurance.”

On Sunday night, a group of pro-Hamas radicals in southwestern Russia filled an airport chanting antisemitic remarks while searching for passengers from a flight that was arriving from Israel.

At the Shura Army Base, on the outskirts of the central Israeli city of Ramle, dead bodies and hacked-up body parts continued to pile up this week, still arriving from the country’s south in refrigerated trucks.
“During a war, each side tries to make a convincing argument that they are right but these kinds of atrocities we have not seen since the days of the Nazis,” Col. Rabbi Haim Weisberg, head of the army’s rabbinic division, said in an interview.

Further, the letter asserts DeSantis has been “using his position as Governor to campaign for the office of the President of the United States, taking him away from his official duties and responsibilities to the citizens of Florida, frequently at the taxpayer expense.” It adds that DeSantis’s campaign has been met with a “lack of enthusiasm by voters nationally and has not gained any significant momentum.”
Additionally, the group states that DeSantis’s presidential campaign has “caused a distraction in the mechanism of government within Florida and the interests of Florida residents have been placed secondary to those of his presidential campaign.”
