US News:

Pregnant LA woman, 25, is shot and killed in ‘targeted’ drive-by execution as she waited in car for her father to pick up a birthday cake:

Marissa Perez, 25, was four months pregnant when she was shot several times, including once in the head, while waiting at an intersection in Artesia.

A car pulled up to the passenger side of the vehicle and fired into the vehicle in what investigators believe was a ‘targeted’ killing.

As investigators continue to search for Perez’s killer, the woman’s family members have come forward, urging the public to share any information that may lead to the arrest of the person who took their loved one.

‘He doesn’t deserve to be walking these streets. He needs to be behind bars for the rest of his life,’ said Tolentino in an interview with ABC7

The grieving mother held back sobs as she spoke to local media alongside another one of her family members, as well as the father of her daughter’s baby, Andrew.

New Jersey mom shot dead husband while he lay naked in bed

She had appeared to be in a happy relationship with her husband, with whom she shared one son, with pictures online showing them smiling on different vacations.

But in court on Tuesday, Marylue’s defense attorneys, Melissa Rosenblum and Jonathan Diego, argued she was in an abusive relationship and is being ‘overcharged’ for the homicide.

And in an affidavit submitted by their son, also named David, he ‘says he loves his dad, and this is hard, but he also talks about the fact that his dad was violent and his dad was abusive.

‘This was during the course of her whole marriage,’ Rosenblum said of Marylue’s relationship, claiming the abuse was the reason the couple only ever had one child, according to Breaking AC.

Rosenblum argued in court that the detectives failed to look into her claims of abuse — and had yet to share key information with the defense.

DOJ says U.S. Postal Service may send abortion drugs through the mail

The U.S. Postal Service is free to continue sending abortion drugs through the mail, the Department of Justice has determined, ending speculation as to whether or not the USPS could face legal challenges for doing so.

The Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel said in a ruling posted online this week that the shipping of the abortion drugs mifepristone or misoprostol through federal channels is not forbidden by the Comstock Act of 1873, which prohibits certain classes of materials from being sent through U.S mail.

The drugs in question have some other uses than abortion, the OLC noted, and thus a sender cannot be forbidden from sending the drugs via USPS if he “lacks the intent that the recipient of the drugs will use them unlawfully.”

Quiet Ohio town rocked by killing of newlywed Dollar Tree worker by machete-wielding attacker

A Dollar Tree worker killed by a machete-wielding attacker on New Year’s Day has shaken a small Ohio town that has not recorded a murder in more than 20 years.

Keris L. Riebel, 22, was slashed to death while working at the Upper Sandusky Dollar Tree a little more than two months after she was married, reports and officials said.

Suspect Bethel M. Bekele, 27, reportedly entered the store before 4:30 p.m. waving the blade, then struck Riebel “numerous times with the machete,” police said in a statement.

Police have characterized the killing as unprecedented, 10-TV reported. Police Chief Jared Lucas told Fox News Digital that this is the first murder the town has recorded since 2001.

The police department also provided Fox News Digital with the 911 call made during the attack, when an unidentified caller said a cashier was struck in the back of the neck by a man wearing all black.

Chicagoans Upset Over Plans for Migrant Shelter Coming to Their Neighborhood

Chicago residents in the Woodlawn neighborhood are upset at what they say is a lack of transparency with the city’s plan to house process and released migrants who illegally cross the southern border at an old school because they are running out of space at local hotels.

CBS 2 reported residents are skeptical of the city’s plans because officials initially said the closed school was not on the table to turn into a shelter, saying the sudden work being done on the building was “routine maintenance.”

That changed and now the city plans on housing 150 single men and women on-site as early as this week.

Chicago, a self-proclaimed sanctuary city, is already using 11 sites to house migrants who have arrived in the city amid a historic influx of illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border. Places include hotels and a different closed school in the south Loop, which are either at or exceeding capacity.

Alderwoman Jeanette Taylor, who represents Woodlawn, said the city misleading the public about their plans was a “slap in the face.”

Amber McLaughlin, 49, who is the first openly transgender woman to be executed in the United States, died by lethal injection in Missouri on Tuesday night.

McLaughlin, whose first name was Scott, was convicted of first-degree murder in 2006 in the killing of Beverly Guenther, his former girlfriend, in 2003, according to Newsweek.

McLaughlin asked Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican, for clemency for mental illness.

“McLaughlin’s conviction and sentence remains after multiple, thorough examinations of Missouri law. McLaughlin stalked, raped, and murdered Ms. Guenther. McLaughlin is a violent criminal,” Parson said. “Ms. Guenther’s family and loved ones deserve peace. The State of Missouri will carry out McLaughlin’s sentence according to the Court’s order and deliver justice.”

According to the Governor’s office, McLaughlin waited outside Guenther’s workplace and violently raped and stabbed her when she walked to her vehicle.

Published Tuesday, the latest round of the Twitter Files – internal documents revealing how Twitter engaged in censorship and promoted disinformation in tandem with government agencies for the past few years – revealed that Schiff’s office asked Twitter to remove journalist Paul Sperry and others from the site.

Taibbi, who published the Twitter Files post-by-post to Twitter at the behest of Musk, provided documentation showing that “the office for Democrat and House Intel Committee chief Adam Schiff” asked “Twitter to ban journalist Paul Sperry.”

On Tuesday evening, Sperry wrote, “Around the same time Adam Schiff’s office was lobbying Twitter to have me banned, Schiff’s chief of staff Patrick Boland was making threats to my employer  http://RealClearInvestigations.com about my stories exposing Schiff’s impeachment whistleblower & his ties to Schiff’s staffer.”

In another tweet, Sperry linked to his 2019 article, and captioned it, saying, “Here’s the real reason House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff secretly lobbied Twitter to have me banned — he was angry I outed his anonymous impeachment ‘whistleblower.’”

On Tuesday afternoon, Matt Taibbi released another edition of the Twitter Files, to do with “How Twitter Let the Intelligence Community In” with regards to Russian disinformation.

Later that same day, Taibbi released another edition, this time to do with “Twitter and the FBI ‘Belly Button,'” with the meaning behind the name revealed towards the end of the thread.

This even longer and more intense batch has to do with COVID cover-up, with the virus having been covered before in previous editions. This time, however, Taibbi revealed how COVID tweets were flagged as misinformation associated with Russia.

Taibbi’s thread provides evidence, including screenshots, of how the Global Engagement Center (GEC), which he describes as “a fledgling analytic/intelligence arms of the State Department,” claimed to the media in February of 2020 that this was just one more thing to have to do with Russia.

“Russian Disinformation Apparatus Taking Advantage of Coronavirus Concerns,” the report’s title read.

A new survey released by Rasmussen Reports discovered that 48 percent of respondents believe that side effects from the experimental messenger RNA gene therapy Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines are responsible for a rash of unexplained deaths.

Published Jan. 2, Rasmussen surveyed 1,000 American adults between Dec. 28 and 30, 2022 in an online and telephone poll, posing the question: “How likely is it that side effects of COVID-19 vaccines have caused a significant number of unexplained deaths?”

48 percent responded they believed it was likely, while 28 percent stated they felt the scenario was “very likely.”

Moreover, more than 1-in-4 of all respondents stated they believe that someone they personally know has died of a COVID vaccine complication at 28 percent.

When facing the question: “Which is closer to your belief, that there are legitimate reasons to be concerned about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, or that people who worry about vaccine safety are spreading conspiracy theories?”

48 percent of respondents said they felt there were legitimate reasons, while 37 percent said they felt the vaccine-concerned are mere conspiracy theorists.

WHISTLEBLOWER: Seasoned cardiologist DESTROYS Big Pharma, statin drugs, covid vaccines on Tucker Carlson Show

The corruption of modern medicine has never been better revealed and summarized by a doctor on mainstream media than right here, right now, by Dr. Aseem Malhotra.

Known as one of the most influential cardiologists ever in Great Britain, Dr. Malhotra believes in the reduction of “medical over-prescribing” and has been listed as one of the 500 most influential people in the health industry.

He questions the need for anyone to ever use statin drugs, saying they are a danger to public health, going against the long-standing narrative of Big Pharma.

Simply put, money has created extreme bias in the information, statistics, and results we are seeing from “evidence-based” and “science-based” medicine so much that the public, patients, doctors, nurses, researchers, and scientists now have an “exaggerated view of the benefits and the safety” of medications and vaccines.

Retired FBI boss says agency has lost independence, been co-opted by liberal DOJ ideologues

In a stunning rebuke, the FBI’s retired chief of criminal investigations says his old agency has yielded the independence Congress gave it under the law and is now subservient to a group of liberal ideologues inside the Justice Department who have pressured agents to stray into unwarranted domestic spying and censorship.

Ex-FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker on Tuesday became the latest law enforcement or political figure to support creating an independent commission modeled after the U.S. Senate’s 1970s Church Committee to investigate the FBI’s practices and impose reforms on the storied law enforcement agency.

“What I see is that it’s basically a wholesale takeover by the Department of Justice, which is filled with political appointees in every top position, and then by extension, right into the administration,” Swecker said in a wide-ranging interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast.

The Government of Canada is hiring a contractor specializing in artificial intelligence to collect, log, and surveil the social media communications of those who oppose Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) — and other — vaccines, specifically on Elon Musk’s Twitter.

The initiative is posted to the Government’s official Canada Buys website as the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) seeks to hire a consultant “to analyze the vaccine related conversations on social media” as the bureau prepares “for increased vaccination education, promotion, and outreach.”

A Statement of Capabilities accompanying the purchase order says that PHAC specifically seeks a company possessing an “international framework with individual social media listening tools, that can collect and analyze utilizing AI to output necessary segmented reporting.”

‘Whore’ and ‘dirty’: Swedish teacher recounts torrent of abuse from immigrant students because she is ‘White and a Christian’

A Swedish teacher who works at a school in a Stockholm suburb with a largely immigrant population has revealed she is regularly followed home, threatened with violence, and called “dirty” by pupils because she is “White and a Christian.”

In a damning interview with the Swedish newspaper Expressen, the teacher spoke about the extent of abuse she regularly receives from pupils at her workplace in Järva, an area with a high number of migrants that has become notorious for gun violence and gang-related crime.

The 60-something educator said she has become used to working in a violent environment and is often insulted by students who call her a “whore” and tell her, “I’m going to fuck your mother.”

Threats have become so commonplace that the teacher, who is referred to only as “Gunvor,” revealed she has considered wearing a protective vest as a precautionary measure when at work.

Gunvor also told Expressen how one pupil followed her home and stood outside her front door with a group of friends; they then attempted to gain entry.

‘Evil’ child rapist jailed for life after being unmasked by technology that unpixelated image of him

He had posted online a series of 200 extremely graphic images and a video under the file name ‘Father Jones’ which shows him repeatedly raping his youngest victim.

The series has been known to crime agencies across the world since 2013 due to the file being shared and downloaded across 18 countries. The folder was still being shared in the UK in early 2022 across six websites.

Martyn Armstrong, from Pembrokeshire, documented himself committing “depraved” acts against three children, including a victim aged one, and posted the pictures to the dark web.

Mr Griffiths said Armstrong used Photoshop to place a zig-zag distortion across his image, but did not disguise the identities of his victims.

Due to his face being blurred, investigators were unable to identify the paedophile for almost a decade, despite attempts by law enforcement partners from Australia, Italy and France.

EU Wants to Make it Easier to Deport Migrants, Commissioner Claims

Ylva Johansson, the EU’s Commissioner for Home Affairs, has claimed that the union is looking to increase cooperation with third-party nations in the hopes of making it easier to deport foreign migrants illegally residing within the union.

It comes at a time when illegal and uncontrolled migration into the EU is on the upswing, with there being over 275,000 illegal border crossings into the bloc recorded last year

To make matters worse, according to a report by Die Welt, many European nations are very reluctant to actually deport migrants within their borders, even when they have no right to reside there, with only around 23.3 per cent of migrants without a right to stay in the union being deported from the bloc in 2022.

Despite this sobering statistic, Johansson is reportedly optimistic that the EU will be able to better handle the crisis in the coming year, with the bigwig promising partnerships with African nations in order to make deportations easier.

In December, Beijing interpreted provisions in the sweeping national security law for the very first time and affirmed the power of the Hong Kong leader and a committee that he chairs to decide whether overseas lawyers may participate in national security trials.

Meanwhile, a former editor of defunct media outlet Stand News was granted bail following close to a year of pre-trial detention under the sedition law, while Hong Kong teachers received new guidelines telling them to study the Beijing-enacted security law.

China’s top legislative body last month confirmed Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee’s power to bar overseas lawyers from national security trials. Local courts must obtain a certificate from the city’s leader before considering admission for a foreign counsel, Beijing said, or it may trigger a decision by the powerful national security committee chaired by Lee.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos said Wednesday he hoped to strengthen ties with Beijing on his first state visit to China since taking office.

China and the Philippines are at odds over the hotly disputed South China Sea, with Marcos expected to sign a deal in Beijing this week to establish direct communication on maritime issues.

Manila considers it “of primary importance to… strengthen the relationship between China and the Philippines”, Marcos said in a meeting on Wednesday with top Chinese legislator Li Zhanshu.

Marcos, who is also expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, said he hoped for “partnerships that will stabilise and strengthen all of our economies”.

Up to 14 bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during Marcos’s visit, which ends on Thursday.
