Florida man arrested after beating girlfriend’s 5-year-old with mop handle for having an ‘accident’: Deputies

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly hit his girlfriend’s son with a mop, which resulted in a fractured skull.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said that Shawn M. Stone, 32, allegedly beat his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son with the mop handle after the child urinated in his bed in Deland, Florida, on Wednesday.
Following the alleged assault, Stone fled the scene on a 4-wheeler but was later taken into custody.
Videos: At least 150,000 Illegal Immigrants Are Camping Out, Waiting To Surge The Border Tomorrow

These numbers are conservative estimates. There are likely thousands more heading to the border.
An estimated 150,000 undocumented migrants are poised to surge the southern U.S. border beginning Thursday when the Biden administration will end Title 42, which previously allowed for deportations.
CNN reported that 60,000 migrants are camping out in Chihuahua, with a further 35,000 in Tamaulipas, and another 25,000 in Coahuila:
Billionaire Who Funded E. Jean Carroll’s Lawsuit Against Trump Visited Epstein’s Island

Hoffman had a close relationship with pedophile human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and visited his infamous private island in Little St. James on behalf of the then-director of MIT’s Media Lab, Joi Ito in 2014.
The Wall Street Journal also revealed that Hoffman had made plans to stay overnight at Epstein’s townhouse in Manhattan later that year, where he was reportedly joined by Bill Gates and other globalists for a “breakfast party.”
The following year, in 2015, Hoffman joined other Silicon Valley leaders to meet with Epstein again at his home in Palo Alto.
The meetings all took place years after Epstein was convicted in 2008 by a Florida state court of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute.
Hoffman previously admitted to funding Carroll’s defamation lawsuit against Trump as part of an effort to use his wealth to destabilize Trump’s presidency.

Motive revealed as accused Chicago cop-killers are held without bail

She was the sixth and final victim of a string of robberies kicked off because one of the suspects allegedly “needed money for a barbecue,” prosecutors said in court Wednesday.
Trevell Breeland, 19; Joseph Brooks, 19; Jakwon Buchanan, 18; and a 16-year-old juvenile whose name was not released all face charges that include murder and robbery in Preston’s death.
Police also charged them in connection with five other armed robberies that same evening, a carjacking and in Breeland’s case, felon in possession of a firearm. All four had lengthy rap sheets, and none had jobs or have finished high school, according to prosecutors.

Ex-soldier Daniel Perry — whom Texas governor promises to pardon — gets 25 years for killing BLM protester at rally

Daniel Perry, 36, was sentenced to 25 years in prison Wednesday for shooting US Air Force veteran Garrett Foster at a BLM rally in downtown Austin on July 25, 2020, the Texas Tribune reported.
Foster, 28, was carrying a legal AK-47 at a protest against police violence at the time of his death. Perry’s attorneys argued at trial that he fired his handgun multiple times in self-defense after Foster raised his rifle at him, the Tribune said.
The state Board of Pardons and Paroles is reviewing the case, though it is unclear how long that will take.
Perry’s attorney, Clinton Broden, also confirmed following the Wednesday proceedings that his client plans to appeal the conviction.
If granted a new trial, Perry’s defense team already said it plans to show a brief video in which Foster admits that he carries an AK-47 to “intimidate p—–s who did not share [his] beliefs.”
Man in teddy bear shirt stalked, raped woman in NYC: cops

The arrest came after police released photographs of the suspect that showed him walking up the street in a black shirt with a teddy bear design on the front.
According to police, Gonzales approached the victim and made unwanted advances that caused her to attempt to flee the area.
However, she was chased by Gonzales who then proceeded to rape her, police added.
Gonzalez then stole her bag off her shoulder and her cell phone from her had before leaving the scene, police said.
Baltimore’s ‘crazy’ crime surge takes toll as longtime local business forced to close: ‘Not safe’

Rosoff provided the outlet with security footage from an attempted armed robbery of her store in March, when she was stacking shelves at 1 p.m. when a man entered the store and pulled a gun on her demanding merchandise.
“About five minutes into the conversation he pulls out a gun, and he says ‘I’ll take everything,’” Rosoff said.
Rosoff was ultimately able to retrieve her gun from behind the counter, and she shot the armed robber in the leg that led to a scuffle in the entryway of the store, where she was essentially fighting for her life.

Resurfaced Nikola Tesla writings about machines with their ‘own mind’ eerily predict rise of AI

“Tesla did foresee an age of machines thinking independently of humans,” Joseph Sikorski, a History & Collection Committee Member at the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, told Fox News Digital.
“Perhaps his most famous example is his teleautomaton, a remote-controlled boat that contained the fundamental patents for radio, robotics and the Nano A.N.D. gate- a primitive logic gate which is a fundamental part in every computer.”
Tesla is credited for accurately predicting a handful of other technological advances currently in use today, such as tech that could transmit data wirelessly, also known as the internet, the BBC previously reported.
He even made a prediction in a 1926 interview with Collier’s magazine about “vest-pocket” technology that’s credited as Tesla foreseeing the creation of cellphones.
“When wireless is perfectly applied the whole earth will be converted into a huge brain, which in fact it is, all things being particles of a real and rhythmic whole. We shall be able to communicate with one another instantly, irrespective of distance,” Tesla told Collier’s in the 1926 interview.
FEDS: Chinese Migrant Charged with Possession of Child Porn Video of Preschool-Age Girl

The case began on Monday morning at the nearby U.S. Border Patrol Central Processing Center when agents found multiple videos of child pornography in Sun’s cell phone, a criminal complaint filed by U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) revealed.
Border Patrol agents had taken Sun, a Chinese national, to the processing center after detaining him after crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico. The criminal complaint revealed that after detaining Sun, agents obtained written permission to search his phone. While going through the phone they found several videos of underage females and adult males.
Border Patrol agents turned the case over to HSI agents who then interviewed Sun over the content of the videos.
The man said that he had purchased the phone seven to eight years prior, and he intended to erase the videos before crossing into the U.S. from Mexico but was not able to do so.
Texas ranchers sound the alarm on border crisis after migrants destroy property: The ‘government doesn’t care’

“What we’re seeing on our property, we’re getting the bailouts, we’re getting the getaways, the unknowns. We’re also getting all of the foot traffic,” Marcus explained on “Fox News Tonight.” “I mean, just last night we had about three groups of ten plus that moved through anywhere from one in the morning to four. We had some during the day. It’s just non-stop traffic around here.”
Stephanie Canales added that they’ve had groups as large as 30 migrants come through their property. “You know, when you’re out in a pasture by yourself, you may have a gun on you, which we do.
But, you know, if 30 people approach you, you’re in trouble. And that’s what’s scary,” she said.
Border crossings have escalated in recent weeks and migrants have been gathering by the thousands near different sections of the border wall, including in El Paso, as they wait for Title 42 to expire on Thursday.
EXCLUSIVE: Border Migrant Apprehensions Top 10k for Second Day in a Row

On Tuesday, Border Patrol agents apprehended 10,079 migrants who crossed the border from Mexico into the United States.
This is up slightly from the 10,062 migrant apprehensions on Monday and the 8,684 apprehended on Sunday, according to a law enforcement source.
In addition to the more than 20,000 apprehensions during the past two days, Border Patrol reports also reveal that an additional 4,700 migrants are classified as known got-aways. This brings the total number of known border crossers for the two-day period to nearly 25,000 migrants.
The average daily apprehension rate increased at an alarming rate over the past two weeks as the expected end of Title 42 on May 11 approaches. During the last three days of April, agents apprehended 7,406 migrants per day, Breitbart Texas reported.
During the next week, the number of apprehensions climbed to 7,850 per day.
Border Patrol to release foreign nationals en masse into communities as Title 42 ends

(The Center Square) – Instead of U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehending, detaining and deporting people who’ve illegally entered the U.S., they will be implementing a plan decided on last year to release them en masse into local border communities.
While Fox News reported on Tuesday that CBP and Border Patrol made a decision Monday night to “authorize all Border Patrol sectors to begin ‘safe’ street releases of migrants to communities across the border *if* NGO shelters and CBP facilities do not have the capacity to hold them,” this isn’t a new plan.
It’s been a plan in place for over a year, which The Center Square first reported on last September. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody uncovered the plan as part of discovery in a lawsuit Florida filed against the administration over its “catch and release” policy.
More counties are likely to issue disaster and invasion declarations as the Biden administration continues to facilitate “legal pathways” for people from all over the world to illegally enter the United States.
An estimated 13,000 are expected to arrive a day when Title 42 ends, officials have estimated, or roughly 4.6 million within a year.
Big Tech Bailout: New York Times to Receive $100 Million from Google

Per the WSJ’s report, the deal also encompasses “content distribution and subscriptions, as well as using Google tools for marketing and ad-product experimentation,” although further details of these elements were not revealed by either party.
It’s not the first time Google has devoted large sums of money to propping up the legacy media. In 2019, it committed $300 million to “elevate and strengthen quality journalism.”
Google approved the massive payout for the New York Times despite the fact that the newspaper already has a robust revenue total of $2.3 billion from a variety of sources last year.
By way of comparison, Substack, widely seen as a behemoth of both journalism and subscription revenue, had an estimated $145 million in gross merchandise volume (GMV – the amount of revenue processed by the platform) last year, with an estimated $19 million in revenues for the company itself.
That’s a big revenue stream, even by the standards of tech companies — but it is still dwarfed by the New York Times.
Oversight Committee: Biden Family Business Received over $10 Million from Romania, China for Unknown Work

In total, Biden family members and business associates designed a web of over 20 companies, many of which were formed during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, the committee revealed.
In total, the Biden family, business associates, and companies received over $10 million from foreign nationals’ companies, the committee found.
The funds appear to contradict President Joe Biden’s claims that his family received no money from China.
The funds also raise questions about what the Biden family returned in terms of services or products for the money received.
As Breitbart News previously reported, Hunter Biden began working for Popoviciu in the spring of 2015.
According to Hunter Biden’s calendar, he met with Joe Biden three times from July 2015 to March 2016 about helping Popoviciu with a “conviction stemming from his purchase of a 550-acre parcel of government-owned land for a steep discount,” the New York Post reported.

Glenn: Humanity will END when Americans NO LONGER CARE
We all know we’re living in a time of crisis, and we haven’t seen anything like this since the Civil War. But this time it’s not north versus south. Its neighbor versus neighbor.
And to make it all worse, Glenn explains, our government has CONDONED this nation’s breakdown.
That’s why, Glenn says, his fear isn’t about America being destroyed by Russia or nuclear bombs. His fear is our civilization and its lack of concern for our freedoms: ‘
America needs more guts…the guts to stand up, to say the things that you mean, and to mean the things that you say.’

Hong Kong mulls wider ban on insults to regional flag, making online desecration illegal

The Regional Flag and Regional Emblem Ordinance should be updated to better align with the amended National Flag and National Emblem Ordinance and the National Anthem Ordinance, the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau said in a document submitted to the Legislative Council this week.
The authorities proposed clarifying the legislation to state that the provisions forbidding insult to the regional flag or emblem would be applicable to both real life and online behaviour.
They also suggested updating the ordinance to “explicitly prohibit” a person from publicly and intentionally desecrating the regional flag or emblem by burning, mutilating, scrawling on, defiling or trampling on them, or their images.
“Intentionally publishing” a desecration of the regional flag and emblem with an intent to insult them would also be banned.

Baby with DNA of Three Different People Born in UK For First Time

The child is reportedly only one of a handful of people in the world born via a groundbreaking treatment pioneered by doctors in Newcastle which aims to circumvent incurable genetic diseases that can result in death soon after birth.
According to a report by the UK newspaper, the child was born as a result of a kind of IVF treatment, during which the DNA material of two parents is extracted from a fertilised but faulty egg that likely contains unhealthy mitochondria.
This genetic material is then transplanted into a healthy egg donated by a third party, and is then implanted into the mother of the child, where it then develops as normal.

Fierce Ukrainian Counterattack Takes Ground in Bakhmut Fighting – Prigozhin Claims ‘Betrayal’

In tough, close-in fighting, soldiers from Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade, backed by T-64 tanks and M-113 armored personnel carriers, wiped out a chain of Russian defensive positions to the southwest of Bakhmut, advancing Ukrainian-controlled territory to the key Bakhmutovka River, according to statements from the Wagner group’s commander Yevgeny Prigozhin and Ukrainian military sources.
Prigozhin, in an angry Tuesday evening video address, accused the 72nd Motor Rifle Brigade, a regular Russian army infantry unit holding positions in the area, of abandoning fortifications, thereby allowing attacking Ukrainian units to outflank his group’s positions.
Wagner lost “500 men,” Prigozhin claimed, as a result of a powerful Ukrainian assault and the men of the 72nd’s unwillingness to fight to hold their ground.
Multiple sources linked with 3rd Assault Brigade – a former territorial defense unit raised in Kyiv from elements of the Azov Regiment in the early days of the war and now a veteran Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attack unit – confirmed most details of Prigozhin’s claims.
Ukraine war: Sanctions talks, no speedy EU entry for Kyiv, grain deal tensions

The European Union will discuss slapping Russia with new sanctions over the Ukraine war on Wednesday, potentially targetting Chinese and Iranian firms and curbing exports to third countries busting existing trade restrictions.
Talks among EU envoys start at 8:00 local time and are set to be heated, according to one diplomat.
Russia hawks believe the proposals do not go far enough, but others don’t want to scupper their international and trading ties.
These flashpoints could frustrate the deal and delay it, several diplomats said.
Erdogan supporters intimidate Turkish voters in Germany

The CHP, the main opposition party, has bused Turks from around Berlin to vote at the consulate. However, on arrival, they say pro-Erdogan demonstrators await them outside the building.

The same happens on social media, she continues. “You get insulted, you get called a terrorist and things like that”.

Analysis: China’s messaging machine tamps down Taiwan war hype

For the sake of “peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait,” Japan, the U.S. and other G-7 nations are expected to strengthen their cooperation frameworks to prevent China from changing the status quo by force.
South Korea, Australia and India have all been invited to a so-called outreach meeting in Hiroshima. Japan, the U.S., Australia and India will also hold a Quad summit in Sydney on May 24.
On the first of the four fronts, the Chinese military would face American, Japanese and Taiwanese forces in the Taiwan Strait and surrounding areas.
On the second front, Chinese forces would face off against American and South Korean troops on the Korean Peninsula.
On the third, China would square off against American and Australian forces in the South China Sea and South Pacific. If the U.S. side controls the Malacca Strait — a thin body of water that opens to the Andaman Sea — and counters China in the South China Sea, Beijing would see its energy supply disrupted and would not be able to keep its economy going. In the South Pacific, Australian troops hold the key.
Finally, Chinese forces would face off against Indian troops on the country’s southwestern border. In 2020, Chinese and Indian forces clashed in this region for the first time in 45 years, resulting in deaths on both sides.
Researchers refine estimate of COVID vax-related deaths of young athletes, blast media hypocrisy

The authors of a December analysis that found a massive rise in athletes’ cardiac-related deaths coinciding with the global vaccination campaign have issued a revised version that more carefully delineates causes and age range in response to scrutiny.
The original version drew wide attention in the wake of NFL safety Damar Hamlin’s Jan. 2 on-field collapse from a routine tackle.
One of the authors of the analysis, Italian National Council researcher Panagis Polykretis, also published a blistering response Friday to the media’s fixation on “19 words” in the analysis he coauthored with cardiologist Peter McCullough while touting farfetched explanations and ignoring repeated false claims about COVID vaccines by federal officials.

In Major Reversal, Biden Resurrects Trump Border Policy Ahead Of Title 42 Repeal

The Biden administration has brought back a Trump-era immigration rule the day before Title 42 is scheduled to sunset and encourage a wave of illegal immigration into the U.S.
The rule, finalized and published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, disqualifies migrants from applying for asylum in the U.S. if they neglected to first apply for asylum in other countries they traveled through, such as Mexico. Hundreds of asylum officers were trained in how to enforce the rule on Tuesday ahead of Title 42’s expiration, according to CBS News.
The new rule, a reversal of President Joe Biden’s campaign promises, comes as the administration has failed for more than two years to control historic levels of illegal immigration into the U.S.
The ongoing crisis at the southern border is widely expected to worsen later this week when Title 42, a health order authorizing border officials to immediately expel migrants without processing, is repealed at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
Democrats line up to reject border bill as GOP scrambles to secure 218 votes

The House is scheduled to vote on Thursday to pass the Secure the Border Act, a 213-page bill that would implement several new policies as a means to secure the border and combat illegal immigration.
Democrats have come out in staunch opposition to the legislation, calling it an “unserious” proposal that would wreak havoc on the economy.
The legislation would implement several new policies by forcing the Biden administration to restart border wall construction, hire more Border Patrol agents with increased pay, and end its catch-and-release practices, among other things.
However, some Republicans have expressed concerns with a provision that would require certain employers to utilize E-Verify, a web-based system that confirms a worker’s immigration status and eligibility to work in the United States before being hired. Some members expressed concern the measure would harm the agricultural sector, which often relies on immigrant labor.
Proposed wealth tax would pay for after-school programs, migrant health care

During a news conference Tuesday, Democrats said millions of dollars could be raised from the new tax on assets held by wealthy Illinoisans that go up in value.
“They are people who have more than enough in their pocket to be able to pay their fair share,” state Sen. Robert Peters, D-Chicago, said. “This is particularly those who are individually wealthy as well as corporations that make money hand over fist.”
State Rep. Will Guzzardi, D-Chicago, said the idea is similar in concept to property taxes. As the value of a home increases, the property tax burden increases as well. The wealth tax would work the same way, but would only apply to the financial assets of those worth $1 billion or more.
Guzzardi says the tax could raise up to $500 million a year. The money would be used for various programs, including after-school programs, but also help fund health care costs for incoming migrants.

Nancy Mace tells DOJ to ‘get off its a– and investigate’ President Biden

“These people didn’t come to Hunter Biden because he understood world politics or that he was experienced in it, or that he understood Chinese businesses,” Mace said. “They wanted him for the access his last name gave them, access the Chinese Communist Party couldn’t otherwise get.”
“The Biden family needs to answer for this,” she continued. “And the DOJ needs to get off its a– and investigate. We’ve done the work for them, so they can’t screw it up now. If these allegations, any of these allegations, are proven true, then someone with the last name Biden needs to be charged, prosecuted, maybe spent a little time in prison to take to account and responsible for the actions they’ve taken today.”
Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., released a memo ahead of the press conference that includes new information from his investigation into the Biden family’s “influence peddling and business schemes.”
The memo said the Biden family appeared to take steps to “conceal the source and total amount received from the foreign companies.”
Gavin Newsom Suddenly Backs Away from Reparations Checks for Slavery

Newsom signed a law in 2020, at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, establishing a reparations task force to examine whether California, a free state since its inception in 1850, owed money for slavery.
The committee, composed predominantly of black members, held hearings throughout the state and concluded that California owed black residents $1.2 million each — though it limited eligibility to descendants of slaves.
The committee’s recommendations, approved by a vote last weekend, will now go to the state legislature for consideration. But Newsom, perhaps with an eye to future presidential ambitions, is suddenly skeptical.

Washington elections bill ‘more likely to cause insurrection’

(The Center Square) – Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has signed Senate Bill 5459 into law, which restricts the public from obtaining records regarding ballots and the election system, as well as centralizes all local records requests with the Secretary of State’s office.
At the May 9 bill signing, Inslee said the bill would help the state “better protect our election security” by withholding information from the public that would “increase risk to the integrity of elections.”
The bill exempts cast ballots from public records requests. Although not specifically among the 500 other exemptions under the Public Records Act, or PRA, courts had previously ruled against their release.
Inslee said this exemption “protects the privacy of all registered voters, keeping our elections safe and secure. [I’m] glad we’re a state that cares about these matters.”
