US News:
SAN ANTONIO — At least 15 people, including 14 children, are dead following a shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, according to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

The alleged shooter has been taken custody, local police said. Others remain hospitalized in facilities in Uvalde and San Antonio.
Uvalde Memorial Hospital officials told KENS 5 they are caring for 13 people from the shooting.
At least two victims, a 66-year-old adult and a child, also were taken to a San Antonio hospital, about 80 miles away. University Health officials said the 66-year-old woman is in critical condition; the child’s condition is unknown.
Immediate family of those students are being told to report to the cafeteria on the second floor of the hospital. They asked those who are not immediate family to refrain coming to the hospital.
Assassination attempt on George W. Bush foiled, suspect arrested

Federal authorities arrested an Iraqi man on Tuesday in connection to an alleged Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group plot to assassinate former U.S. President George W. Bush.
Forbes first reported the FBI uncovered an alleged plot by an Iraqi man to assassinate Bush on behalf of ISIS. The suspect reportedly plotted to smuggle fellow ISIS members into the U.S. to help him carry out the attack.
Forbes initially declined to report the suspect’s name as he has not been charged, but the U.S. Department of Justice subsequently announced they had arrested the suspect and identified him as 52-year-old Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab. The DOJ is charging Shihab with aiding and abetting in a murder plot.
The FBI uncovered the alleged plot with the help of two confidential informants and by surveilling the Shihab’s account on the Meta-owned WhatsApp messaging platform.
ICE nabs suspected terrorist weeks after Border Patrol release

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
A suspected terrorist released into the United States by Border Patrol agents last month was not arrested until two weeks after he was matched to the terror watch list, according to a new report.
Isnardo Garcia-Amado, 35, was turned loose near Yuma, Ariz., on April 18 and was given a GPS monitoring device instead of being detained, according to a memo from a federal source obtained by Fox News.
According to the report, Garcia-Amado was flagged by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center on April 21. However, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) did not receive authorization to arrest him until May 4.
Garcia-Amado, a Colombian citizen, was arrested in Pinellas County, Fla., two days later. It is unclear why it took three days after his release for the FBI to flag Garcia-Amado as a suspected terrorist.
NYC teen struck with hatchet in Manhattan attack, cops say

NYPD
The suspect approached the victim — who was riding a bike at West 26th Street and Sixth Avenue — just before 10 a.m. and started yelling something incomprehensible, sparking a dispute, cops said.
Then he swung a hatchet and struck the teen in the leg and foot, while he was still on his bike, video released later Monday shows.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
The assailant fled along Sixth Avenue on a black moped, cops said.
Police were still looking for him Tuesday.
Gun rights group’s ATF report accuses agency of making ‘illegal gun registry’ as Cruz takes aim in Senate

Gun Owners of America (GOA), a gun rights advocacy group, blasted the ATF for their “illegal gun registry” in their new report on the finalized rule requiring federal firearms licensees (FFLs) to maintain purchase records indefinitely.
The group’s report on Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requested documents revealed the ATF “is maintaining a digital, searchable, centralized registry of guns and gun owners in violation of various federal prohibitions.”
“In November of 2021, an internal ATF memo leaked by Gun Owners of America revealed that ATF had processed and digitized over 50,000,000 ‘out of business’ records of gun dealers in FY 2021,” the report reads. “This report was picked up by major pundits and news outlets, including Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and the Blaze.”
Gay, bisexual men at increased risk for monkeypox virus: CDC

“Awareness of this reality is critical to empowering people to make informed decisions about their personal health and the health of their community,” CDC epidemiologist Dr. John Brooks said in a Monday telebriefing.
Brooks, who is with the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, said that while the virus is not a sexually transmitted infection, it can be transmitted in both personal and sexual contact, with a notable fraction of recorded cases occurring among gay men.
Anyone who has a rash or lesions in the genital and perianal regions should be fully evaluated.
Experts: Syphilis surge is ‘next’ public health emergency

Arguably, one of the next public health emergencies will be responding to the increase in sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, STI rates were on the rise.
As health systems return to pre-pandemic delivery of services, the ongoing upward trajectory of STIs is coming into focus.
Most alarming is the resurgence of syphilis, known as the “Great Imitator” for the challenges it presents to clinical diagnosis. The latest rates suggest that far from the plans to eliminate syphilis in the 1990s and the 2000s, the disease has once again emerged as a public health threat.
According to recently released CDC data, cases of syphilis increased 52% from 2016 to 2020, and congenital syphilis cases are up by 235%.
Sussmann trial: MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC ignore testimony that Clinton OK’d leaking of Trump-Russian allegations

The mainstream media has largely avoided covering the trial of ex-Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, who has been charged with making a false statement to the FBI. He told former FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016 that he was not doing work “for any client” when he requested and attended a meeting where he presented data and white papers allegedly demonstrating a backchannel between the Trump Organization and the Kremlin-tied Alfa Bank.
MSNBC, ABC News, NBC News and CBS News have almost entirely ignored the trial since it began on May 15 and continued the blackout after Friday’s stunning revelation.
A transcript search for Monday and Tuesday morning also found no coverage on the four outlets’ televised programs. CBSN, the CBS News streaming service, covered the trial in a news package on Monday night and delved into the revelations from Mook.
Afghan rebel group asks for Biden’s support, warns of new terror threats

In a statement to Fox News Digital, the NFR’s head of foreign relations, Ali Maisam Nazary, said the time for action is now.
“Our message to the Biden administration is to not make the same mistake the Clinton administration (made) when they ignored the threat of terrorism in the mid and late 1990s and led to 9/11. The White House has to act fast and adopt a proactive approach to counterterrorism by allowing democratic and anti-terrorist forces like the NRF to liberate Afghanistan,” he said.
Resistance to the Taliban has not only come from the NRF but includes other lesser-known armed groups that share the common goal of dislodging the Taliban from power. Beyond their desire for a Taliban-free Afghanistan, there is very little cooperation or coordination among the disparate groups, which hinders their ability to seriously challenge the Taliban.
Most analysts and observers do not view the National Resistance Front or other armed groups as an existential threat to the Taliban’s hold on power. External backing is a key ingredient to sustaining a successful insurgent campaign and so far, the NRF lacks any major outside support.
EXCLUSIVE: Bill Gates Poured Millions into Dark Money Fund Attacking Elon Musk

Breitbart News’ report, based on research and analysis from the newly-formed Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO), analyzed public filings to trace hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions from the letter signatories back to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In total, 11 of the 26 anti-Musk organizations received funding from a Gates-backed entity.
The New Venture Fund, which in 2020 received the largest one-year commitment the Gates Foundation had made in more than half a decade, funds four of the signatories:
- The Center for Media Justice
- The Media Democracy Fund
- The National Hispanic Media Coalition (via the Media Democracy Fund)
- Accountable Tech
The Tides Foundation, also a recipient of Gates Foundation money, funds five of the signatories:

Twenty-Two House Republicans Demand Accountability on Biden’s $40b War Spending

The House of Representatives, on May 10, approved President Biden’s $33 billion package for the war in Ukraine, and then, on its own initiative, added $7 billion on top of it. That brought the new war spending authorization to $40 billion, on top of the $14 billion already spent just 10 weeks into this war, which U.S. officials predict will last years, not months.
The House vote in favor was 388-57. All 57 NO votes were from GOP House members. All House Democrats, including the Squad, voted YES.
A similar scene occurred when the Senate, “moving quickly and with little debate,” overwhelmingly approved the same war package. All eleven NO votes were from Senate Republicans.
But the lack of any safeguards over the destination of the money and weapons prompted close to two dozen House Republicans, led by Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-NM), to send a letter to the Biden White House on Monday demanding greater specificity and assurances about legal requirements on how weapons are used.
The letter urges a public reckoning on the dangers of the U.S.’s bankrolling of the war in Ukraine: “We write today to express grave concern about the lack of oversight and accountability for the money and weapons recently approved by Congress for Ukraine,” it began.

WATCH: Stacey Abrams Struggles To Explain Why Black Turnout Is Soaring Under ‘Jim Crow 2.0’

Stacey Abrams, the election truther who self-identifies as the winner of Georgia’s gubernatorial race in 2018, continues to struggle on the campaign trail. Days after denouncing Georgia as “the worst state in the country,” Abrams gave a bumbling response to a reporter’s question about why voter turnout was soaring in the state, especially among black voters, despite what Democrats had repeatedly claimed was a “Jim Crow 2.0” regime of so-called voter suppression.
“We know that increased turnout has nothing to do with suppression,” Abrams said (with a straight face) at a press conference ahead of the state’s primary elections on Tuesday.
“Suppression is about whether or not you make it difficult for voters to access the ballot.”
Abrams had previously accused Republicans of “stealing the right to vote” by passing legislation to roll back some of the election measures instituted at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. President Joe Biden described the GOP voting reforms as “Jim Crow on steroids.”

Chief of DOJ’s New $6 Mil Racial Equity Office says Oftentimes Justice May Mean Never Filing a Case

A failed run for L.A. District Attorney was inspired by “only seeing Black and brown people locked up,” Rossi said during her 2020 campaign to be the county’s top prosecutor. She worked for Democrat Senator Richard Durbin and helped draft a federal prison reform bill that slashed mandatory minimum sentences and made early release possible for certain inmates.
The ATJ, which was originally launched by Obama Attorney General Eric Holder in 2010 and shut down by Trump, will work to fulfill the recommendations of the recent DOJ probe that led to its revival.
Chiefly, the review found that the agency needs to expand and modernize its “access-to-justice function” to address the most urgent legal needs of communities across the country.
This will be accomplished by developing new tools to reduce the justice gap, breaking down existing silos to advance the most innovative solutions across all levels of government and several other priority areas, which include the following:
Environmental justice, indigent defense, pursuing racial equity, fostering health justice and medical legal partnerships in the wake of COVID-19, expanding legal representation in immigration proceedings, self-help court programs and ensuring economic opportunity and fairness.
“The Department of Justice and the Department of Equal Justice are the same thing,” according to the report of the probe. “There can be no full achievement of the rule of law, safety, or civil rights without it. And there can be no equal justice without equal access to justice.”

Michigan Bureau of Elections says top GOP gubernatorial candidates ineligible for ballot

Republicans seem to have lost two of their most serious contenders for the gubernatorial election in Michigan.
Chief James Craig of the Detroit Police Department and businessman Perry Johnson – two of the most prominent Republicans running against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer – both failed to produce the valid signatures necessary to get on the ballot.
Gubernatorial candidates are required to submit 15,000 valid signatures to appear on the state ballot. According to the bureau, the affected candidates were victimized via a series of petitioners who obtained nothing but invalid or otherwise unusable signatures, putting them well below the mark.
“Criminals can commit fraud for money or by purposely infiltrating a victimized campaign with illegitimate signatures in a Machiavellian attempt by the opposing party to later have them removed from the ballot,” Johnson continued. “Unfortunately, the signatures provided to campaigns cannot currently be checked until after their submission to the Secretary of State. This needs to change, immediately.”
Georgia voting shattering turnout records after MSNBC, CNN, others ran with ‘Jim Crow’ accusations

Democrats, corporations and the liberal media repeatedly decried Georgia’s Republican-passed Election Integrity Act as the next Jim Crow, but the Peach State is now seeing record-breaking turnout for early voting ahead of Tuesday’s primary.
Biden, along with Democrats and members of liberal media, argued that the law would deny people the right to vote, especially minority Americans, and could lurch U.S. democracy off balance.
A 70-year-old Black woman that spoke with the Post said she was surprised at how easily she was able to vote.
According to the office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, there have been nearly 800,000 ballots cast by Georgians as of Friday, a number three times that of 2018 and significantly higher than 2020, an election year when voting typically increases.

Glencore to pay $1bn settlement amid US bribery and market abuse allegations

The charges came after investigations by US and UK authorities, started in 2018 and 2019, respectively. When Glencore first revealed the US Department of Justice investigation in 2018 it said that documents were requested related to business dealings dating as far back as 2007.
The SFO alleged that it had found “profit-driven bribery and corruption across the company’s oil operations in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and South Sudan”.
“Glencore agents and employees paid bribes worth over $25m for preferential access to oil, with approval by the company,” the SFO alleged.
Chinese police leak reveals human cost of Uyghur incarceration

A huge collection of data, which are linked to China’s treatment of Uyghurs and other minorities, has been handed to the BBC.
The cache reveals, in unprecedented detail, China’s use of “re-education” camps and formal prisons as two separate but related systems of mass detention for Uyghurs.
The information, hacked from police computer servers, includes evidence of a shoot-to-kill policy for anyone who tried to escape.
