Arizona Man Allegedly Admitted to Possessing Child Porn During Job Interview with Police Department
According to a press release from the El Mirage Police Department, Celaya “admitted to possessing child pornography on his personal computer and other electronic devices” while being questioned.
Following his alleged admission, EMPD detectives say they developed probable cause to obtain and execute a warrant on Celaya’s residence.
Upon searching his home, investigators say they found a plethora of evidence indicating that Celaya possessed child pornography.
In court documents obtained by Phoenix CBS affiliate KPHO-TV, police provided additional details regarding what allegedly prompted Celaya’s sudden confession.
Deadly Shootout Kills Activist During Tent Clearing Operation in Atlanta
Bodycam footage shows Atlanta cops in shock when rapid gunfire is unleashed Jan. 18 while they cleared tents being lived in on a property to be used for a future public safety training site, dubbed “Cop City” by opponents.
The officers would later find out Georgia State Troopers got into a shootout with an activist camping in a tent on the property.
Authorities said 26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran was killed in the shootout after allegedly firing at least one round from a 9mm handgun.

Big Tech Layoffs Continue With Yahoo Slashing 20% of Its Workforce
Yahoo is laying off 20 per cent of its workforce, or 1,600 employees, that will impact half of the company’s ad tech business.
In an interaction with Axios, Yahoo CEO Jim Lanzone said that these changes will be “tremendously beneficial for the profitability of Yahoo overall”.
The layoffs will help the company “to go on offense” and invest more in businesses that are profitable.
According to the company, 12 per cent of the workforce (around 1,000 employees) would be laid off on Friday.
In the next six months, another 8 per cent (600 people) will be let go, the company said.

However, the Clark County School District has seen student enrollment drop for the fifth year in a row, with 506 fewer students enrolled this year than last year. Because of it, the district is getting $33 million less in state aid this school year.
US shoots down ‘high-altitude object’ over Alaska, White House says
The White House said Friday that a ‘high-altitude object’ has been shot down over Alaska.
President Joe Biden ordered the shootdown, spokesman John Kirby said, adding that the origin of the object wasn’t determined.
He said because it posed a reasonable threat to the safety of civilian flight, that out of an abundance of caution and at the recommendation of the Pentagon, Biden ordered the military to down the object.
“it came in, inside our territorial waters, those waters right now are frozen, but inside territorial airspace and over territorial waters.
Fighter aircraft assigned to U.S. Northern command took down the object within the last hour,” Kirby said.
Fighter aircraft checked if it was manned and determined and he said it wasn’t. “We were able to get some fighter aircraft up and around it before the order to shoot it down. And the pilots’ assessment was that this was not manned.”

March for Life visitors to National Archives told to ‘remove or cover’ pro-life attire: lawsuit
The suit, filed by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), alleges that a group of visitors to the National Archives were told to remove or cover articles of clothing with pro-life messages.
According to the ACLJ, a security officer at the archives told the group that their political apparel was “disturbing the peace” and could “incite others.” The text of the pro-life shirt reportedly read, “MARCH 4 LIFE 2014: Saint Cecilia’s Youth Group, Glen Carbon, IL.”
The National Archives released a statement Friday about the altercation and subsequent lawsuit.
In its message, the administration acknowledged the symbolism of the alleged incident occurring within the same building housing landmark civil rights documents, such as the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Arrest made, manhunt launched for another suspect after New Jersey teacher found dead in shallow grave
Cesar Santana, 36, was taken into custody at a motel in Miami this morning with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service following the discovery of the remains of 33-year-old Luz Hernandez in Kearny on Tuesday, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Leiner Miranda Lopez, a 26-year-old who like Santana is from Jersey City, remains on the run.
Both men have so far been charged with one count of desecrating/concealing human remains.
Hernandez, a mother of three and a teacher at BelovED Charter School in Jersey City, died of blunt force trauma to the head and compressions to the neck, prosecutors say, citing preliminary autopsy findings.

“They have found a gateway in what they think is fringe Catholicism in order to move into Christians in general and declare them to be the actual criminals in this country or the potential terrorists,” federal whistleblower and former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin said.
Seraphin said the document isantithetical to Catholicism and was written by someone who believes abortion rights must be upheld and the LGBTQ agenda “has to be pushed down the American people’s throats.”
Catholic League Condemns FBI Attack on ‘Traditionalist’ Catholics
As Donohue observes, as its prime source, the FBI report cites “the far-left and scandal ridden Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC),” cutting and pasting a direct copy of the SPLC list of “Radical Traditional Catholicism Hate Groups” as an appendix to its report.

The Air Force said the ICBM’s test reentry vehicle traveled approximately 4,200 miles to the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, showing the “accuracy and reliability” of the U.S. ICBM system.
Ukrainian Refugee Ordered Deported After Acquittal for Deaths of Seven Americans
Following the fatal June 2019 crash, 26-year-old refugee Volodymyr Zhukovskyy of Ukraine, was charged with seven counts of negligent homicide for allegedly killing five U.S. Marine Corps veterans and two of their loved ones when his trailer, hitched to his pickup truck, hit the motorcyclists.
Zhukovskyy, in August 2022, was acquitted by a jury on all charges. Now, he has been ordered deported to Ukraine by a federal immigration judge. Zhukovskyy is expected to appeal the deportation order.
More than a month before the deadly crash, the Ukrainian refugee was arrested in East Windsor, Connecticut. after he failed a sobriety test.
Despite being arrested for drunk driving, the second time since 2013, Zhukovskyy’s driver’s license was not suspended and was valid when he allegedly hit and killed the seven American motorcyclists.
North Carolina mother charged after police find dead 3-month-old boy in a suitcase in a closet for over 12 hours
The case came to light Wednesday morning when officers responded to a call at a home in Roanoke Rapids, about 80 miles northeast of Raleigh, about the wellbeing of a small child, police said.
Inside a closet, police found the body of a 3-month-old boy wrapped in a blanket in a suitcase, officials said.
The body had been reportedly left in the suitcase for at least 12 hours, WRAL reported.
The suspect was being held in lieu of $15,000 bond at the Halifax County Jail, jail records show. Her first court appearance is set for Friday.
In an unrelated case in October, a mother from Georgia was accused of killing her 5-year-old son, Cairo Jordan, and hiding his remains in a Las Vegas-themed suitcase left at the end of a seldom-traveled dead-end road in the woods in Indiana.
The boy’s body was found with no apparent signs of trauma by a mushroom hunter, police said.

China Can Fire Hypersonic Weapons, Conduct EMP Strikes With High-Altitude Balloons; Had Conducted Tests Back In 2017-18
The Chinese spy balloon, recently shot down by the US military, has captured the headlines in recent weeks, with other countries like India, Japan, and Taiwan currently looking into the possibility that similar Chinese balloons may have also violated their airspace in the past.
Even more concerning is that China could also use such balloons to deploy hypersonic weapons.
In 2018, Chinese state-owned television CCTV broadcast footage of a high-altitude balloon, not dissimilar from the one that traversed over the US and Canada last week, dropping what appeared to be hypersonic weapons.
The video showed a high-altitude balloon carrying three wedge-shaped payloads, which looked like hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs), up to a certain height and then dropping them as part of a weapons test.

Russian Missiles Cross Moldovan and Romanian Airspace in Suspected Challenge to NATO
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces, said two Kaliber missiles launched from the Black Sea had entered Moldovan airspace, then flew into Romanian airspace, before entering Ukraine.

Terrorist Car Ramming Kills Two, Wounds Five in Jerusalem Attack
The alleged car-ramming took place at a bus stop in Ramot, a Jewish settlement in east Jerusalem. Tensions have soared in the Israeli-annexed eastern half of the city, following a Palestinian shooting attack on Jan. 27 that killed seven people in the deadliest attack in Jerusalem in over a decade.
The police did not identify those killed but the Israeli rescue service had previously said its medics were treating six people, including two children in critical condition undergoing CPR.
It said two men, ages 27 and 30, were unconscious and in serious condition, while another two people were in moderate condition, including a 40-year-old man.
Police said that an off-duty officer shot and killed the suspected attacker at the scene.
The Islamic militant groups Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, praised the suspected attack but did not immediately claim responsibility.

According a report from The Times of London, the two types of missiles being considered are the 150-mile range truck or ship-mounted Harpoon high-explosive anti-ship missiles and the deep penetration blast Storm Shadow [general purpose cruise missile] with a range of 350 miles.

California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon recently tapped Assemblymember Mia Bonta, the attorney general’s wife, to serve as the chairwoman of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee 5, according to local NBC affiliate KCRA.
The subcommittee focuses on how taxpayer dollars are used by the state’s various public safety agencies — including the California Department of Justice.
Rendon and both Bontas are all Democrats.
Stern clarified there was nothing illegal about Rendon’s appointment of Mia Bonta but argued the state’s top law enforcement official should have a problem with it nonetheless.
“Particularly as attorney general, he should have the highest ethical standards of any governmental official,” said Stern. “He should set an example for everyone else.”

FBI agents on Friday searched former Vice President Mike Pence’s residence as federal authorities continue their classified document investigation, two sources confirmed to Fox News.

Matt Gaetz Introduces ‘Ukraine Fatigue Resolution’ to End U.S. Aid, Urge Peace Deal
The resolution notes that the United States has been the “top contributor of military aid to Ukraine compared to its counterparts,” since the conflict reignited nearly one year ago.
Biden’s administration has appropriated more than $110 billion in military, financial, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine since March 2022, and they announced an additional $2 billion in aid last week.
The resolution argues that the United States is “inadvertently contributing to civilian casualties” through its continued financial assistance and notes an estimation from Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley that roughly 40,000 civilians have died due to the conflict.
British Army at Risk if Weapons Sent to Ukraine Not Replaced – Labour
John Healey, the leftist Labour Party’s shadow defence secretary, has warned that the UK government’s practice of sending weapons abroad to Ukraine is risking the ability of the British army to defend the country.
With Britain having confirmed it is sending 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine and is preparing to sent jets too, Healey is now concerned that the country’s military effectiveness could be compromised if lost stock is not quickly and sufficiently replaced.
“Ukraine is depleting our military stockpiles and the Government is acting too slowly to replenish them,” the Labour MP told The Telegraph.
Healey emphasised that there was now an “immediate need for a stockpile strategy”, with the country risking its own military being “left short” if something is not done.
“To do that we need to reboot defence planning, ramp up parts of our defence industry so that we can continue to reinforce Ukraine and re-arm British forces to replenish the weapons and ammunition we are giving to Ukraine in their battle to turn back the Russian invasion,” he explained.
German Tank Deliveries to Ukraine Leaving ‘Huge Gap’ in Country’s Defences
Eva Högl, the German parliament’s Commissioner for the Armed Forces, has warned that her country’s decision to hand over 14 advanced Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine could jeopardise the EU nation’s ability to defend itself.
“The 14 Leopards coming from Panzer Battalion 203 in Augustdorf are creating a huge gap there because they don’t have enough to train and be fully operational themselves,” Die Welt reports Högl as explaining, with the official saying that the €100 billion (~$107 billion) set aside to replace exported equipment must be spent on quickly replacing the vehicles.
She went on to add that while those in Germany’s military understood the apparent need to send weapons to Ukraine, the sheer volume of weaponry being exported was endangering their ability to do their job.
