Florida GOP DA who rejects woke policies and takes hard line on criminals slashes murders by 30% and shootings by 17% in a year…as soft-touch Dem-led cities including LA see violence rocket

A Florida GOP prosecutor’s hardline stance on crime has seen murder rates plunge in a year – while offenses continue to spiral in woke cities.
Melissa Nelson, a state attorney who prosecutes cases in-and-around Jacksonville, has been credited with a 30 per cent drop in murder rates, and 17 per cent drop in shootings. DailyMail.com has contacted Nelson’s office for further details on the data.
The prosecutor’s tactics have included seeking out felons filmed flaunting weapons illegally on social media videos, and hitting them with charges.
Nelson has also sought stiffer sentences for those convicted of gun crimes, and cracked down hard on gang members.
Fentanyl Deaths Skyrocket by 800% in American Border Communities

In Riverside County, fixed between Los Angeles and San Diego, the fentanyl crisis has surged to levels that residents never imagined.
Here sits the town of Temecula, with a population of less than 115,000, known for its old-world downtown area and wine country.
Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin says the area is fighting a danger pouring over the border unlike anything residents have seen — fentanyl.
While California officials said their Democrat-controlled legislature and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) are uninterested in helping communities like Riverside County fight fentanyl dealers, federal prosecutors have made headway in recent months.
In February, federal prosecutors in San Diego successfully scored a 25-year prison sentence against 31-year-old Jahvaris Lamoun Springfield for having sold U.S. Army veteran Brendan James Gallagher a fatal dose of fentanyl that resulted in the man’s death.
Louisiana woman’s murder who was tied to steering wheel was streamed on Facebook Live

A person viewing the live stream alerted Facebook to the incident, which in turn alerted Baton Rouge police. Authorities then discovered the body of 34-year-old Janice David in an office parking lot on Monday evening.
Police soon arrested 35-year-old Earl Lee Johnson and charged him with first degree murder for the attack.
Police say they had already arrested Johnson before they discovered David’s body. Johnson had been apprehended for theft of a motor vehicle and fleeing police.
Johnson had attempted to burn the car with David’s body inside following the attack. He then stole a car from a nearby home and fled the scene. He was arrested for the theft after that car’s owner reported it to police, according to The Advocate.
NJ man who stabbed, assaulted four Jewish men charged with hate crimes

A New Jersey man has been charged with federal hate crimes for allegedly committing an antisemitic crime spree earlier in April, assaulting and stealing the car of one Jewish man, running over two others and stabbing a fourth, according to police.
Dion Marsh, 27, was arrested hours after his April 8 rampage, which left three Jewish men in the hospital. Marsh allegedly assaulted the first and stole his car just after 1 p.m. that day.
He then used the car to crash into another Jewish man at 6 p.m., and allegedly stabbed a third Jewish man in the chest an hour later.
He struck his final victim, also Jewish, with the car at just after 8 p.m. Marsh already faced a slew of state-level charges, such as terrorism, attempted murder and carjacking, but he will now also be tried for federal hate crimes.
Trump campaign ordered to pay Omarosa $1.3 million in legal fees after failed lawsuit

Trump had taken action against Manigault Newman, claiming that her 2018 book, “Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House,” violated a non-disclosure and non-disparagement agreement she had signed.
The arbitrator in the case determined the agreements were unenforceable under New York law and granted her request for summary judgment, leaving the two sides to quibble over legal expenses.
Manigault Newman signed an NDA when she joined Trump’s campaign in 2016. The two first became linked in when she was a contestant on the first season of Trump’s television show, “The Apprentice,” which aired in 2004.
She eventually went on to be an adviser in the Trump White House before being fired less than a year into Trump’s presidency.
Video: Atlanta security guard fatally shot, robbed near restaurant

Security footage released by the department shows the armed suspect — wearing a black, long-sleeve t-shirt, black Nike baseball hat and camouflage backpack — as he approaches walking up to the victim from behind.
The video then appears to show the suspect robbing the victim as he lay on the ground. The suspect then walks away from the scene.
The video also shows several people in the area that homicide investigators seek to identify, according to APD. One apparent witness in the video shakes his head as he walks by the scene of the crime later.
Homicides are up 47% year-to-date in Atlanta, with 53 reported so far this year compared to 36 at the same time last year.
APD is asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact 911 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta. Information can also be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at http://www.StopCrimeATL.com.
The truth about Piers Morgan’s Fake News.
Trump has been completely stitched up by Piers Morgan. It is disgraceful behaviour.
Twitter Won’t Label Piers Morgan’s Misinformation About Trump

While Morgan may be uncensored, it appears clips from his show are not — or, at least, they are deceptively edited to mislead viewers.
Audio provided to Breitbart News from Donald Trump’s team shows there was no contentious end to the interview, and that the former President did not storm out before it was concluded.
Despite, this, tweets and unedited articles from corporate media organizations that got the story wrong continued to spread freely on Twitter, despite the far-left Silicon Valley company’s stated commitments to “protect” users from alleged misinformation.
Twitter also has a specific rule against “deceptively edited media,” which the platform used as a pretext to take down clips of embarrassing Joe Biden gaffes shared by Donald Trump during the 2020 election campaign.
Morgan’s clip certainly meets any reasonable definition of “deceptively edited,” yet Twitter has taken no action.
Deceptive Edits: Audio Contradicts Piers Morgan, Shows He Warped Trump Interview Ending in Promo

A 30-second promotional clip that Morgan released on Wednesday afternoon seemed to show Trump flying off the handle and walking out mid-interview as a righteous Morgan asked him tough questions about his views on the 2020 election.
But the full story seems to indicate that Morgan’s team deceptively edited the clips together to make it as nasty as possible for Trump—and to drive up the ratings for Morgan’s new show.
Morgan’s new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, launches next week on Talk TV, a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.
Orsolya Gaal murder: Handyman David Bonola had ‘intimate’ relationship with slain woman, NYPD says

NEW YORK – Queens mom Orsolya Gaal and her killer were arguing inside her family’s home in the early morning hours of the day she was fatally stabbed, when the suspect – identified as 44-year-old family handyman David Bonola – tried to convince her to rekindle their “intimate” relationship, NYPD official confirmed Thursday.
Bonola, who had worked for Gaal and her family over the course of the past two years, confessed to parts of the gruesome crime and made further incriminating statements during interviews with NYPD investigators late Wednesday.
He was charged early Thursday morning with murder, criminal tampering and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Mike Tyson repeatedly punches airplane passenger in crazy video

TMZSports.com
Tyson, who had boarded a Florida-bound plane from San Francisco, is said to have engaged with his fellow passenger prior to the incident, a witness told the gossip site, with the former heavyweight even posing for a selfie.
The passenger is also seen chatting animatedly behind Tyson’s seat as another passenger films the exchange. Things took a turn for the worse, however, when Tyson apparently grew agitated with the passenger, who had failed to leave him alone, with the former heavyweight champ then delivering a series of blows from over his seat.
A source close to Tyson claims the passenger was “extremely intoxicated” and “wouldn’t stop provoking” him, resulting in an onslaught of punches.

SpaceX shut down a Russian electromagnetic warfare attack in Ukraine last month — and the Pentagon is taking notes

WASHINGTON — Russia’s halting efforts to conduct electromagnetic warfare in Ukraine show how important it is to quickly respond, and immediately shut down, such attacks, Pentagonexperts said Wednesday.
But the U.S. needs to get much better at its own EW rapid response, they said during the C4ISRNET Conference Wednesday — and can learn a lot from how the private sector has handled these situations.
Dave Tremper, director of electronic warfare for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, pointed to SpaceX’s ability last month to swiftly stymie a Russian effort to jam its Starlink satellite broadband service, which was keeping Ukraine connected to the Internet.
“The next day [after reports about the Russian jamming effort hit the media], Starlink had slung a line of code and fixed it,” Tremper said. “And suddenly that [Russian jamming attack] was not effective anymore. From [the] EW technologist’s perspective, that is fantastic … and how they did that was eye-watering to me.”
The government, on the other hand, has a “significant timeline to make those types of corrections” as it muddles through analyses of what happened, decides how to fix it and gets a contract in place for the fix.

Jan. 6 Committee Eyes Rewriting 1807 Insurrection Act, Would Remove Presidential Powers To Deploy Military

The January 6th House committee is now reportedly considering the radical move of recommending that the 1807 Insurrection Act be amended, removing presidential authority to deploy the military within the United States if necessary to quell an uprising.
According to The New York Times, the discussions are preliminary. Some leftists allegedly fear some sort of doomsday scenario where a rogue president could use the military to bolster an insurrection.
Others are said to be worried that removing such power to quickly deploy armed troops would leave the nation vulnerable. The Civil War and the civil rights movement were touted as examples.
‘Actual Malice’: Tulsi Gabbard Sends Cease and Desist Letters to Keith Olbermann, Mitt Romney Over ‘Treason’ Accusations

In the letter, attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon told Olbermann he “acted with actual malice when you defamed Representative Gabbard.”
“Representative Gabbard’s loyalty to the United States is beyond reproach, and you either knew your description of her as a ‘Russian Asset’ was false when you made it, or you acted in reckless disregard as to her allegiance to the United States,” the letter continued.
In further comments directed at Olbermann, Dhillon added that Gabbard “believes that free speech is a cornerstone of American democracy,” but that Olbermann’s assertions that Gabbard is a “Russian Asset” is “far outside of the bounds of free speech and civility. It is defamation.”
As for Romney, Gabbard blasted the nominally Republican Senator for his March 13 tweet in which he said Gabbard was spreading “Russian propaganda” and that her “treasonous lies may well cost lives.”
Biden gets 3 Pinocchios for saying ‘congressional Republicans’ want middle class tax hike

The Biden administration got slammed by the Washington Post for a recent talking point where they have accused “congressional Republicans” of wanting to raise taxes on the middle class.
Officials from White House press secretary Jen Psaki to President Biden himself have spread the message, without providing much in support of it.
“After their massive tax giveaway to the super-wealthy and giant corporations in 2017, Congressional Republicans now want to raise taxes on middle class families,” Biden tweeted Monday.

US delivers ‘Phoenix Ghost’ drone designed by US Air Force specifically for Ukrainian ‘needs’: DOD

A senior defense official told reporters Thursday that the “Phoenix Ghost” is a tactical unmanned aerial system that “was rapidly developed by the Air Force in response specifically to Ukrainian requirements.”
The official said the newest drone would have similar capabilities to the Switchblade drone – which is small enough to be carried in a backpack, easily launched and detonates after it crashes into its target – but would not comment further on its scope of capabilities.
The officials also would not specify how quickly the Air Force was able to develop the drone but said it was created in a “direct response to Ukrainian requirements.”
