Colorado EXTENDS COVID-19 state of emergency, AMENDS scope to include flu, RSV and other respiratory illnesses

Governor Jared Polis recently enacted Executive Order (EO) D 2022 044 to extend Colorado’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) state of emergency. Its scope has also been amended to include respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza and other respiratory illnesses.

“I, Jared Polis, Governor of the State of Colorado, issue this coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Executive Order amending and extending [previous Executive Orders listed] which refocuses the state’s efforts on recovery and incorporates Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), influenza and other respiratory illnesses in Colorado into the disaster declaration,” the governor stated in the EO.

“And that is how you create a perpetual state of emergency. Add all types of respiratory viruses that you are on the lookout for because every winter hospitals will be full of people with some type of respiratory virus,” the Naked Emperor Substack account commented.

The blogger-analyst further questioned the timing of the said public order. “I wonder why they waited until after the elections to sign this order? Strange. Let’s see how quickly other states amend their emergency orders as well.

Maybe they should add in rain for the spring and sun for the summer (climate change) just to make sure the emergency lasts all year,” Naked Emperor wrote.

Democrat Lawmaker Arrested in New Hampshire, Charged with ‘Stalking a Woman’

A Democrat lawmaker from New Hampshire has been arrested for “stalking a woman,” according to authorities.

State Rep. Stacie Laughton was arrested over the weekend in a domestic violence-related stalking case.

The Democrat, real name Barry Laughton, is New Hampshire’s first transgender elected official.

Laughton spent the weekend at Valley Street Jail after getting arrested for violating a domestic violence order by stalking a person.

Laughton is charged with stalking a woman in violation of a civil restraining order, according to Hudson police.

One House Democrat came to Laughton’s defense, however.

DC man who pushed “justice reform” bill shot dead on the day it passes

Kelvin Blowe

Last week in Washington, D.C, the City Council passed a sweeping overhaul to the city’s criminal codes. Touted as yet another example of “justice reform,” the changes reduced or removed bail for most crimes, and lowered or eliminated minimum sentences for many crimes while also lowering some maximum sentences.

As we’ve seen in so many other cities, the overarching goal of the legislation was to further empty the jails and put criminals back out on the streets more quickly. There was a tragic bit of irony taking place even as the measure came up for a final vote, however.

One of the people who had been actively lobbying and promoting the “justice reform” measure was Kelvin Blowe, a 32-year-old activist with DC Justice Lab.

On the night of the City Council meeting, Blowe was driving some colleagues home from his job as a security guard when he was caught up in an automobile accident. He exited his vehicle for reasons unknown and was promptly shot dead by someone on the street.

Police say that no arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation. (FOX 5 DC)

New Mexico Mom Allegedly Used Her Kids As Fentanyl ‘Mules’ To Transport Deadly Dose To Their Father

Magdalena Silva Banuelos, 46, of Albuquerque allegedly concealed a deadly dose of fentanyl in her children’s luggage and was indicted on distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Silva Banuelos is accused of giving her boyfriend, the father of her children, that lethal fentanyl dose that ultimately killed him.

Silva Banuelos allegedly put her eight and 10-year-old sons on a flight from Albuquerque to Texas’s Dallas Love Field Airport on May 31 to visit their father, who she had an on-and-off relationship with, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

The father met the boys, looked through their luggage and went to the airport’s restroom, where he overdosed and died in a stall just minutes later.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, is spending more than $1 million to run advertisements during the Thanksgiving weekend NFL and college football games to warn Americans that the new Respect for Marriage Act will “expose religious schools and nonprofits to lawsuits,” Fox News Digital reported.

It is the biggest campaign the Heritage Foundation has ever launched.

The Respect for Marriage Act’s final vote in the Senate is scheduled for Monday, which, if passed, will codify the right to same-sex marriage.

The Heritage Foundation argued that the bill is deceptively named because it does not give same-sex couples new rights.

The foundation also warned that it would leave religious schools and nonprofits vulnerable to litigation, which could give the IRS grounds to revoke tax-exempt statuses from religious groups.

The United States is allocating an additional $4.5 billion in direct budget support to Ukraine, Voice of America reports citing a statement by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

“These funds will begin to be disbursed in the coming weeks and will help the government of Ukraine defend against Russia’s illegal war by strengthening economic stability and supporting essential public services, including salaries for hospital workers, civil servants and teachers, as well as social assistance for the elderly and vulnerable.

Combined with our security support and the tremendous bravery of the Ukrainian people, these funds are a critical tool in Ukraine’s resistance to Putin’s unprovoked invasion,” the statement said.

The US Treasury notes that these payments will bring the total direct US budget support for Ukraine to $13 billion in grants.

Video Shows Shootout Between Suspect and Police During Traffic Stop in Bucyrus, Ohio

The suspect vehicle reportedly fled northbound from the Morrow County area, and there was at least one person injured during that incident. It was originally reported there were two (2) suspects in the vehicle. Both were considered armed and dangerous.

While scouring the city in search of the suspect vehicle, officer Devin Wireman noticed a silver Honda SUV in the 100 block of East Charles Street, with its back window shattered and bullet damage on the rear of the vehicle.

The driver 38-year-old Jacob Dan Davidson could be seen wearing a silver motorcycle helmet and was holding a rifle in his lap.

Sinatra’s decision marks at least the third decision against New York gun control in the past two months.

Breitbart News reported on the first decision October 6, 2022, when U.S. District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby issued a temporary restraining order against portions of New York’s newest gun controls, including the requirement that concealed carry permit applicants have their social media scoured.

Breitbart News noted the second decision against New York gun control on October 21, 2022, when District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. issued a temporary restraining order blocking New York’s prohibition against concealed carry in places of worship.

And now this third decision, issued November 22, 2022, also by Sinatra, comes in a suit filed by the Second Amendment Foundation and the Firearms Policy Coalition on behalf of Brett Christian, a private citizen.

LA City Council votes to move forward with banning oil drilling

Two committees had approved the item before it came before the council, which voted 10-0 to request that the city attorney prepare an ordinance to prohibit new oil and gas extraction and phase out all oil drilling activities in the city.

“We’re sending a clear message to big oil: The city of Los Angeles will no longer tolerate oil and gas extraction,” Councilman Mitch O’Farrell said. “Families, no matter where they live, deserve to breathe clean air, have safe neighborhoods and lead a healthy life free from the harmful impacts of dirty energy.”

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a similar ordinance earlier in October. The City Council in January unanimously approved a series of recommendations aimed at banning new oil and gas wells.

The draft ordinance would phase out all such oil and gas extraction activities by immediately banning new oil and gas extraction and ceasing existing operations within 20 years.

10K Migrants Apprehended in Texas Border Sector over One Week

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted a video recap highlighting the week’s activities in this sector. In the video, Eagle Pass North Station Patrol Agent in Charge Mickey Donaldson reported that began the week with more than 2,500 migrants in custody.

This was due, in large part, to a very busy week where multiple large migrant groups crossed at will. During the last week, agents in this sector apprehended 10,343 apprehensions. In addition, another 5,903 migrants got away without being apprehended.

The Del Rio Sector continues to lead the nation in the apprehension of large migrant groups. Border Patrol defines a large group as 100 or more migrants in a single border crossing event. During the past week, these agents encountered 21 large migrant groups.

Included in the apprehensions were two sex offenders within a two-hour period of time on Monday, Breitbart Texas reported.

Brian Babin: Biden Flying Millions of Unvetted Illegal Aliens into American Communities on Taxpayer’s Dime

Babin, at the press conference, gave insight into the enormity of Biden’s expansive Catch and Release network that is sending tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens to cities and towns across the U.S. every month.

“The southern border barely exists anymore … this administration has tied their hands so tight that Catch and Release sometimes is their only option at this point,” Babin said.“… millions of unvetted illegal aliens … have been apprehended and blindly released into the country,” Babin continued. “They’ve flown, housed, fed, educated, medicated, and incarcerated all on the taxpayer’s dime.”

For nearly two years, Biden’s DHS has used, on a mass scale, a little-known parole program intended for a slim number of foreign nationals in emergency situations seeking U.S. entry. With parole, DHS has contracted with a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to fly and bus arrivals into American cities and towns.

Countdown to Title 42’s End: Biden Considers Housing Thousands of Border Crossers, Illegal Aliens at Fort Bliss

During an El Paso, Texas, city council meeting, officials suggested they have asked the Biden administration to consider opening Fort Bliss to house thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens that are expected to arrive within hours and days of Title 42 ending on December 21.

“We have made that point very clear to the federal government that, you know, one way to solve this also would be to open up Fort Bliss — no different than how we did with the Afghans,” a city official said, referencing when the Biden administration opened the military base to thousands of Afghans flown to the U.S. last year.

“We’ve reached out, we’ve challenged everyone we’ve talked to … with respect to this crisis,” the official said.

City officials also revealed that Biden’s DHS has released nearly 72,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into El Paso, alone, in the last five months. Those testing positive for the Chinese coronavirus are being put up in hotel rooms, often paid for by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) funded by the local government and the Biden administration.

Releases of border crossers and illegal aliens are expected to skyrocket after Title 42 ends. Last week, as Breitbart News exclusively reported, about 1,000 Venezuelans surged into El Paso in a single day, believing that Title 42 had ended.

The board’s move follows an October meeting in which parents complained about the curriculum and argued that the district is working to keep parents in the dark, according to KATV in Arkansas.

“This district and the way it runs is a complete dumpster fire,” one father said during the meeting, according to the outlet. “Stop gaslighting us in your little newsletters saying everything is okay.”

Another father told the board that “school choice and privatization of education” are coming while others slammed the board for allegedly sowing the seeds of division among students.

Among the key arguments parents made in pushing back against LGBTQ+ content in the district’s schools were that this content focused on teaching about “gender-affirming care” or encouraged “pornographic” books offered in school libraries, according to KATV.

Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky told reporters Wednesday morning that the male employee used a pistol in the attack.

Police believe following a search by a SWAT team at the individual’s home there is “no risk to the public at this time,” Solesky added.

The employee has not been identified, as police say they have yet to contact his next of kin. Prior to the shooting, officials say he was not familiar to law enforcement. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police say.

“The investigation is still ongoing,” Solesky said. “We will be processing that scene for days.”

The comments from the police chief come after a video emerged of an employee claiming a store manager carried out the mass shooting.

Shooter accused of massacre at Colorado LGBT club reportedly identifies as ‘non-binary’

Media reactions to the revelation were mixed. In a CNN panel discussion on Wednesday, host Alisyn Camerota repeatedly said “I don’t know what to say about that,” while guest Errol Louis suggested that Aldrich’s lawyers were “trying to prepare a defense against a hate crimes charge.”

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh, meanwhile, wrote on Twitter that LGBT activists “have no choice but to accept” the shooter’s alleged non-binary identity.

“You set a precedent here and we will hold you to it,” he said. “You have to respect his identity.”

Lauren Boebert Puts Joe Biden On Notice: “The days of Biden operating at will without checks and balances are over”

“The days of Biden operating at will without checks and balances is over. As we get ready for Thanksgiving, that’s something to be grateful for. He’s flying with clipped wings for the next two years and in 2024 he’s out.

Would-be ‘Disinformation Czar’ Nina Jankowicz Now a Registered Foreign Agent

U.S. Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Jankowicz, who was executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, was at the center of controversy over the Biden administration’s attempt to censor opposing views.

She also advised the British Parliament to set standards for speech on the Internet, telling it that the British government could find ways to suppress undesirable speech, ignoring “freedom of expression and fairy dust.”

Jankowicz also became infamous for her enthusiasm for musical theater as a means of expressing her left-wing political ideas. She also referred to herself as the “Mary Poppins of disinformation” in a singsong TikTok post.

However, Jankowicz was herself a font of disinformation, spreading the notorious “Alfa Bank hoax” before the 2016 election, which falsely claimed that then-candidate Donald Trump had financial ties to a Russian bank.

She has now registered as a foreign representative under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), on behalf of the Centre for Information Resilience, a British organization devoted to countering disinformation online.

The Pentagon this week refused to provide key details about the Biden administration’s request for an additional $37.7 billion in funding to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s invasion – a request that would put total U.S. taxpayer support to Ukraine above $100 billion since the war started in February.

The White House asked for more money last week in a letter from the Office of Management and Budget to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. That letter explained that of the $37.7 billion it wants, $21.7 billion would go toward “equipment for Ukraine, replenishment of Department of Defense stocks” and other support to Ukraine.

However, when asked Tuesday how much of that amount would be directed toward replenishing U.S. stocks, the Pentagon declined to answer.

When asked if she could “take the question” back to the Pentagon and come back with an answer, Singh said she would not.

Report: Biden Is Cutting Medicare Benefits Thru Inflation Reduction Act

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images
Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images

Casey B. Mulligan and Tomas J. Philipson wrote:

President Biden has accused Republicans of scheming to cut Medicare. In fact it is his signature legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act, that will lead to benefit cuts and premium increases for seniors. Medicare’s popular drug-coverage program is headed for a painful amputation.

The private plans participating in Medicare’s prescription-drug program, known as Part D, currently draw on three sources of revenue to finance prescriptions: out-of-pocket payments from patients, premium payments made by plan members, and subsidies from the federal government. In 2025, under the Inflation Reduction Act, both government subsidies and out-of-pocket payments by patients are scheduled to be cut sharply. The difference will have to be made up by premiums. But the statute inhibits this third revenue source, which is also subsidized, from increasing more than 6%. That’s hardly enough to cover inflation, let alone compensate for the other two revenue losses.

We estimate that beginning in 2025, plan subsidies—specifically, the reinsurance subsidies for the beneficiaries with the most drug spending—will be cut $30 billion, out of revenue that currently totals about $110 billion. With $30 billion less to finance prescription benefits, something will have to give. Plans currently have far too little profit to span the chasm that the Inflation Reduction Act opens between expenses and revenue.

Biden has claimed to want to cut the costs of prescription drugs like insulin, despite canceling — in his first week in office — an executive order by President Trump to lower the prices of insulin and epinephrine.

Georgia Supreme Court allows early voting Saturday in US Senate runoff election

The state and some Republican groups previously objected to having early voting this weekend, citing a provision in state law preventing in-person early voting on a Saturday if it preceded a holiday.

Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff between Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and GOP candidate Herschel Walker is set to take place on Dec. 6.

The state high court issued a one-sentence order ruling to allow the early voting without comment.

Rejected, spoiled ballots at Maricopa County vote centers mishandled, election observers allege

The report was compiled by Mark Sonnenklar, a roving attorney with the Republican National Committee’s Election Integrity program in Arizona, from observations he and 10 other roving attorneys made as GOP election observers at Maricopa County vote centers.

The 11 observers visited a combined 115 of the 223 vote centers in Maricopa County on Election Day.

At one vote center, Sonnenklar “witnessed several voters spoil two ballots” when the tabulators wouldn’t scan them.

The time it took voters to spoil ballots, get new ballots, and vote again was in addition to the 1-2 hours many of them had to wait in line to get their initial ballot, he reported.

A Republican observer reported that the “spoiled ballots were not securely handled” at the vote center at which she was stationed. “They were cavalierly stored at different locations in the vote center at different times,” she said.

On Nov. 2, Bolsonaro admitted that the “election is over” in a move that appeared to many to signal his intent to begin a transition of power to Lula after the nation’s Superior Electoral Court (TSE) ratified the results. However, on Wednesday, he changed his tune over concerns regarding some voting machines and blaming a software bug.

His allies claimed they found “signs of serious failures that generate uncertainties and make it impossible to validate the results generated” in older models of the voting machines. They have yet to provide any evidence of these claims.

Lula won the election with 50.9% of the vote to Bolsonaro’s 49.1%, and the claim would affect some 280,000 voting machines, according to the BBC. The result would swing to 51.05% for Bolsonaro and 48.95% for Lula if the affected votes were invalidated.

The TSE told Bolsonaro’s coalition that they have 24 hours to present the audit for both rounds of voting, or the body will reject the party’s claims.

The bombs injured at least 18 victims and killed a Canadian-Israeli teenager in what Israeli police said were attacks by Palestinians.

“Sadly, I can now confirm that two U.S. citizens were among those injured in today’s terror attacks in Jerusalem,” Amb. Tom Nides tweeted. “As we head into Thanksgiving, I am grateful that they will recover. I pray for a peaceful holiday in the U.S., Jerusalem, or wherever you may be celebrating.”

The first explosion occurred just after 7 a.m. local time at a crowded bus station. Israeli police suspect that a bag with explosives was detonated remotely.

The second went off about half an hour later in Ramot, a settlement in the city’s north. Police said one person died from their wounds and at least three were seriously wounded in the blasts.

Police, who were searching for the suspected attackers, said their initial findings showed that shrapnel-laden explosive devices were placed at the two sites. The police said it deployed additional officers to the city in the aftermath of the blasts.

Nigeria: ‘Bandits’ Kidnap over 100, Including Children in Village Raids

“Right now Kanwa village is deserted, the bandits divided themselves into two groups and attacked the community. They kidnapped children aged between 14 to 16 years and women,” a terrified anonymous resident of one village told Voice of America News (VOA) on Monday.

VOA reported groups of 30 to 40 people were kidnapped from each village, some of them taken while working on their farms.

Ibrahim Dosara, information commissioner for the Zamfara region, suggested the gunmen might want human shields to fend off a government military assault.

Ransom is also a distinct possibility, as it became one of the most lucrative industries in Nigeria after Boko Haram scored a secret $3.7-million ransom payment for some victims of the infamous 2014 Chibok schoolgirl kidnapping (over 100 of the 276 abducted girls remain missing to this day),
