US News:

U.S. is running out of common children’s antibiotic Amoxicillin

A common antibiotic used to treat ear and sinus infections in children is in short supply in the US.

Four drugmakers behind the nation’s amoxicillin supply now have limited doses of the liquid form of the medication.

The Food and Drug Association (FDA) blamed a surge in demand for the shortage — with respiratory illnesses at unseasonably high levels.

Officials were made aware of ‘intermittent supply interruptions’ in late October when more and more patients were forced to shop around for the drug.

Although it does not treat viral infections like RSV and flu, amoxicillin can be used to clear up secondary infections due to the diseases.

It comes amid shortages of the ADHD drug Adderall and oxytocin, a drug commonly used during childbirth. Both of these shortages are due to supply chain issues.

At least two New Jersey police officers were shot Tuesday, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

The shooting, which reportedly involved a suspect with a long gun, prompted a massive police response in Newark, just across the Hudson River from New York City, Fox 5 New York reported.

NBC New York reported that one officer was shot in the leg, and the other in the neck.

Several law enforcement agencies have responded to the scene, including the New Jersey State Police, the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF), and the U.S. Marshals Service.

SWAT officers were also at the scene.

Pandemic Devastation Will Cost Students Almost $1 Trillion In Lifetime Earnings, Study Finds

Students’ lifetime income will suffer a loss of nearly $1 trillion as a result of the nation’s dramatic learning decline, according to the results of a new study.

National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) data from Oct. 24 showed that every state saw a decline in its math scores, while September data demonstrated that reading scores fell back 30 years to 1991 levels after the COVID-19 pandemic. The drop in math and reading scores will cause Americans to lose about $900 billion in lifetime earnings, according to a study by by Tom Kane, a Harvard economist, and Douglas O. Staiger, an economics professor at Dartmouth.

“We interpret this evidence as saying that NAEP means something,” Staiger told The 74, a nonprofit news organization focused on education. “When there are improvements in scores, those kids coming out of school are going to have better outcomes later in life. And we can infer from this recent decline that all the cohorts in school now are going to do a bit worse than we expected.”

School districts that chose to stay remote during the pandemic suffered learning loss at least 20% greater than schools who returned to in-person learning, according to a report by the Education Recovery Scorecard. In the 2020-2021 school year, reading levels for students in remote learning dropped 20% more and math levels dropped 41% more than in-person schools.

Electric Cars: Inconvenient Facts, Part One

Politicians and activists who want all cars to go electric are guilty of magical thinking.

Electric car sales are up 66% this year. President Biden says the future is “electric… and there’s no turning back.”

California and New York are banning sales of new gas-powered vehicles. We’re told they’ll help us use less oil.

But most of what politicians, activists, and electric car sellers say about electric cars is just wrong.

In this video, and a second one coming soon, I show you 5 inconvenient facts about electric cars.

Amid near constant reporting about its legal and financial woes, nascent social media platform Truth Social has continued to grow, forcing even the most hostile of media outlets to admit that it is gaining steam.

In a New York Times article, entitled “Truth Social’s Influence Grows Despite Its Business Problems,” journalists Stuart Thompson and Matthew Goldstein highlighted the bevy of digital traffic the website has continued to enjoy.

Citing data from SimilarWeb, the NYT highlighted that Truth Social’s webpage attracted 1.7 million unique visitors this September, placing it well above its main competitors in alternative tech such as GETTR, Gab and Parler.

WATCH: Large Migrant Groups Continue Crossing Texas Border by Hundreds

Texas Department of Public Safety
Texas Department of Public Safety

Large groups of migrants continue to cross into the nation’s busiest border sector by the hundreds. Some groups contain 300-400 mostly single adults. Recent policy changes by the Biden Administration to return migrants to Mexico have had little impact on crossing numbers.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin tweeted a video Tuesday morning showing a group of approximately 300 migrants crossing near Normandy, Texas.

The group consists of mostly single adults. Fox did not report the nationalities.

Normandy is located between Eagle Pass and Del Rio and has become the scene of the most frequent crossings in the country of large migrant groups.

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens reported that during the first 30 days of the new fiscal year, his agents encountered more than 50 large migrant groups. Border Patrol defines a large group as 100 or more migrants in a single crossing.

Venezuelan Migrants Attack Border Patrol Agents with Flag Pole in Texas

A group of mostly Venezuelan migrants crossed the Rio Grande into El Paso on Monday.

Some of the migrants carried large flags in protest of a recent change in Biden administration immigration and border security policies, KVIA ABC7 in El Paso reported.

One of the migrants reportedly assaulted at least one Border Patrol agent with the flag pole while another threw a rock which injured an agent.

This prompted agents to fire pepper balls at the migrants.

Despite the abrupt change in policy, thousands of Venezuelan migrants continue to make the dangerous journey through Central America to Mexico and then to the U.S. border.

Grieving elephant carries lifeless body of calf in funeral ceremony

This is the heartbreaking moment a grief-stricken mother elephant carried the lifeless body of her dead calf to its final resting place in a powerful funeral ritual.

Sombre footage shows the mourning elephant taking her calf towards an acacia tree in the Torra reserve in Damaraland.

Other members of the herd converge and walk together in silence as part of a respectful procession for the late elephant.

The calf was less than a week old when it died after water dried up in the area.

While other younger elephants continue to play in the reserve, many of the older members all turn and walk towards the tree where the calf is laid to rest.

Safari guides told Corriere della Sera they had never seen elephants performing a funeral ceremony before.

Pentagon: United States Military Personnel Operating in Ukraine to Track Weaponry

The military operation, which is being conducted alongside the Office of Defense Cooperation operating out of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, will also seek to bolster the ability of Kyiv (Kiev) to set up border checks for weapons smugglers, step up training for Ukrainian inspectors and guards, as well as providing training on how to properly dispose or destroy weapons and munitions.

Speaking at a no-names Pentagon briefing, the transcript of which has been published, a “senior defense official” said “There have been several of these inspections”.

American troops officially left Ukraine on February 14th, ten days before the full-scale invasion of the country by the Russian military, in order to prevent potential conflict between the world’s two largest nuclear powers.

However, while American military personnel have not been acknowledged to have been operating in the country until now, intelligence operatives from the CIA have allegedly been on the ground to provide training as well as logistical support to the Ukrainians, the New York Times reported in July.

The paper went on to claim that a “few dozen commandos” from NATO nations, including Britain, Canada, France, and Lithuania were also still operating in the country.

Honoring the veterans of Vietnam

Fifty years later, contrary to popular misconception, we have a resilient and vibrant veteran population formed in the crucible of war. Many Vietnam veterans have utilized their leadership skills and commitment to service as leaders in our local communities.

In addition, they served as the genesis for many contemporary physical and mental health programs that have been developed to assist veterans from subsequent conflicts such as Iraq and Afghanistan. They too are integrating back into civilian life while coping with external and internal battle scars.

Mental health remains a leading issue for all veterans. For many veterans, the sound and fury of battle haunt them both day and night.

We still have too many homeless vets, too many broken families as well too many veterans taking their own lives. As a nation we need to ensure all of our veterans get the proper care and service they have rightfully earned.

Many have pushed through to the other side of their personal darkness overcoming insurmountable burdens, but unfortunately others remain held hostage to a conflict that has held them captive for more than fifty years.

As we approach Veteran’s Day, we should honor all but especially the overlooked veterans of Vietnam. They fought in a war that was not popular and returned to a country where many of them were shunned because of their faithful and honorable service.

Rest assured that you are not forgotten — you will always have a place of honor in American history.

Dem Staffer Fired for Setting Up Secret Meetings Between Other Aides and the Chinese Embassy

That’s what happened in the office of Virginia Democratic Congressman Don Beyer: his scheduler was fired for setting up covert rendezvous with at least two congressional aides and the Chinese.

This staffer wasn’t privy to national security secrets, so there are no spy games here. It’s just someone who decided not to stay in their lane and got pinched for it.

Beyer’s staffer wasn’t some rookie on the Hill but a 34-year veteran.

The investigation into the scheduler’s activities was swift, as Beyer was informed of these little meetings by the House Sergeant at Arms last Tuesday, which prompted an immediate review that concluded the next day confirming the allegations (via Daily Caller):

Weingarten, who championed pandemic-related school closures and lobbied the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to adopt teachers union-preferred language for reopening guidance, said she agreed with a controversial article in The Atlantic arguing for “pandemic amnesty.”

“Treating pandemic choices as a scorecard on which some people racked up more points than others is preventing us from moving forward,” the article argued.

“I agree,” Weingarten tweeted on Monday, which provoked a heated response from the Texas senator.

Weingarten also received a barrage of condemnation from others who blamed her for fighting to keep schools closed longer than they needed to be.

Just the day before, Weingarten was called a “backpedaling hack” for tweeting that “everyone” suffered during the pandemic after a report revealed drastic declines in reading and math test scores.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown said pod camera video showed at least one car, and they believe two shooters opened fire on a crowd standing at the intersection for a vigil.

Police said the drive-by attack lasted only 3 seconds and the shooters fired randomly into the crowd. Brown said no suspects have been arrested and the motive for the attack is unclear.

“When officers arrived, they found the suspect hiding inside a closet in possession of a folding knife and a roll of duct tape,” the Benicia Police Department wrote on Facebook.

The suspect, Timothy Allen Allison, was arrested after a “brief struggle” with authorities. The 41-year-old was booked into Solano County jail.

Allison was charged with first-degree felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Accused carjacker 15-year-old Bryce Garcia-Diaz

Santiago Garcia-Diaz joined “Fox & Friends First” Tuesday to discuss why he wants his son behind bars and his appeal to prosecutors, who now want to charge him with neglect, if he refuses to pick up his son from jail.

“I’ve been begging for help for my child for two and a half years,” Garcia-Diaz told co-host Todd Piro. “I’ve had petitions signed by judges to have him to have him sent away for mental eval[uation]. I have no idea what else to do. Like, I’ve tried everything. I’m at the end of my wit… What else does a father do to save his child’s life?”

Garcia-Diaz’s son, 15-year-old Bryce Garcia-Diaz, had 18 out of the 19 charges he was facing dropped. He is accused of running over a police officer and crashing a stolen car.

Juvenile crime has soared in many big cities nationwide, with Baltimore being one of them, and carjackings top the list of prevalent offenses.

The brash language aimed at the president was repeated by a reveler dressed as a priest who was holding a sign that read “COVID 19 is a tool of control.”

A man dressed as the “Pfizer CEO” with a zombie mask and “killing you slowly” written on his suit danced to the beat of drums and a crowd of costumed characters followed below with an “RIP COVID-19” banner.

Asked about the mandates, a “Mayuh Eric Adams” impersonator went on a rant pretending to be the real mayor of New York City.

“I am never going to drop the mandates especially for city workers,” the fake Adams said. “I’m dropping it for private workers but not for city workers because they are second-class citizens.”

His response earned boos and a “F–k Eric Adams” chant as well.

ActBlue Gave $$ to Org Hosting Sexual Chats with LGBT Minors

ActBlue, the primary donor platform of the Democratic Party, donated to CenterLink, a pro-LGBT organization that runs a highly sexual chat site for minors, according to CenterLink’s 2020 Annual Report.

CenterLink, which calls itself a member-based coalition to support the development of strong, sustainable, LGBTQ community centers, is involved in a number of activism projects and co-runs the QChat Space, an online, sexual chat marketed to those as young as 13 years old who identify as LGBT. Participation in the chat does not require parental approval.

CenterLink’s website explains “CenterLink worked in partnership with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and PFLAG National to develop Q Chat Space: The Digital LGBTQ+ Center.” ActBlue gave the organization $1,500 or more but less than $5,000.

Chief Justice John Roberts Blocks House Democrats from Getting Trump’s Tax Returns Temporarily

Supreme Court Justice John Roberts has stepped in and blocked the Democrat-controlled House from getting President Donald Trump’s taxes.

Roberts issued a temporary stay placing the lower court ruling on hold while the full Supreme Court can decide whether to honor Trump’s request or not.

On Monday, Trump filed an emergency appeal with the Supreme Court to block the House Ways & Means Committee from obtaining his tax returns.

A D.C. Circut court ruled earlier that the Democrats on the committee could access the records.

“John Roberts has granted a temporary ‘administrative’ stay in Trump’s bid to stop a House committee from obtaining his tax returns,” ScotusBlog reported

“This is not a ruling on the merits of Trump’s request; it merely keeps the lower-court ruling on hold while SCOTUS considers the request.”

“Here’s my commitment to you. I will work with anyone from either party to advance Alaska’s priorities, and I will always stand up to any politician or special interest that threatens our way of life,” she said in the ad released Tuesday. “I’m Lisa Murkowski, and I approve this message. I’d be honored to earn your vote.”

It is not the first time Murkowski pledged to help the Biden administration further its agenda. She stated in September she would help the Biden administration because they are in office.

Murkowski has helped Democrats in the past two years by voting with them nine times.

Those votes supported gun control, corporate coronavirus bailout, confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, federalizing local elections, the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill, $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill, confirmation of Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, confirmation of Department of Homeland (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and the impeachment of former President Donald Trump.

Republicans push back against Dems’ ‘same old lies’ about ending social security

On Monday, Johnson rejected this idea completely, saying that Democrats are pushing falsehoods because they are unable to defend their own policies.

“All they do is they trot out the same old lies, you know, the Republicans want to end Social Security, we want to put it on the chopping block. Nothing could be further from the truth,” Johnson told Fox News. “We want to save social security. We want to bring down inflation. We want to reduce massive deficit spending that sparked inflation.”

Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel also pushed back against Democrats’ Social Security claims.

“I say that’s scare tactics,” McDaniel told “Fox News Sunday,” adding that “people on fixed incomes right now are dealing with a huge issue with inflation.”

The basis for the claim appears to be a policy document detailing Sen. Rick Scott’s “Plan to Rescue America.” One part of the plan says, “All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years. If a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again.” Theoretically, this would include Social Security, although Scott has gone on record saying he has every intention of keeping it.

“The media loves to talk about old comments. Here’s Gretchen Whitmer saying she wants to ‘abolish ICE’—something that would actually put Michiganders in danger. Will they ask her about it or nah?”

Republican challenger Tudor Dixon tweeted along with the video clip.

In the clip, a reporter approached Whitmer and asked, “Do you think we should abolish ICE, though?”

“I think ICE is doing a fundamentally cruel, unconstitutional, undemocratic work,” Whitmer replied. After the reporter doubled down on his question about abolishing Ice,

Whitmer emphatically responded, “yeah,” before adding, “I think our governor needs to stand up.”

But what does this mean for Canadians and our already struggling health care system.

It seems to mean that #climate doctors are now more interested in ‘planet saving’ projects that dealing with real human health care needs.

‘Ecoterrorism’: 61 French Gendarmes Injured After Clashes With Violent Eco-Left Extremists

According to local authorities, around 400 black-bloc-style far-left extremists were behind much of the violence from the demonstrators, lobbing Molotov cocktails at officers along with explosives and other projectiles.

Along with the 61 gendarmes who were injured during the violence, around 30 of the demonstrators were also injured.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin commented on the violence over the weekend saying, “61 gendarmes were injured, 22 of them seriously. This figure shows that it was not a peaceful demonstration but a very violent rally.”

“I hope that all the republican political forces will condemn this violence,” Minister Darmanin added and later labelled the actions of the demonstrators as “ecoterrorism.”

The collective Bassines Non Merci organised the protest and is said to be an amalgamation of various groups including trade unions, environmental groups and anti-capitalists. They later released a statement saying they would continue the protest against the construction of the reservoir, which they have labelled “water grabbing.”

Khan’s London: Police Arrest Suspect After Man Shoved Onto Underground Tracks

The force released video footage of a black male who they were “seeking to identify in connection [with the incident] after he was seen behaving aggressively at Marylebone station on Saturday 29 October” on their website and on social media.

On Thursday, the London Underground, often referred to as the Tube, saw a “series of assaults”, with one man allegedly assaulted at Baker Street station at 11:50 a.m., another allegedly shoved onto the railway tracks at around 12 p.m., and a third coming forward to say he was allegedly “assaulted by the same man on a train from Finchley Road” later on.

Announcing they had found the man they believed to be a suspect, the BTP said: “We’re pleased to update that a 37-year-old man has been arrested after a man was pushed on the tracks and two others assaulted on the Underground last week,” in an update on the case shared on social media.

The Ukraine War Is Now A Giant Tank Deathmatch

More Tanks Headed to Ukraine: The Ukrainian military may have captured enough Russian T-62 tanks to equip a tank battalion, but those vehicles that Russian crews have abandoned on the battlefield will only aid Kyiv’s efforts to a point.

To actually drive out the invader, Ukraine needs an even greater number of armored vehicles, notably more modern tanks.

Though Ukraine’s military still hopes to get German-made Leopard 2 or M1 Abrams, aid has come in form of some twenty-eight M55S tanks from Slovenia, which reportedly arrived in recent weeks. Slovenia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed the tanks had been successfully delivered to Ukraine.

The M55S is a newly-built, modernized version of the Soviet-era T-55 main battle tank (MBT).

The deployment of those MBTs follows the thirty-five BVP M80A amphibious infantry fighting vehicles that Slovenia had sent to Ukraine in July.

It hasn’t been reported how those M55S and T-72M4 CZs MBTs have performed on the battlefield, but given that Russian tank crews are giving up the fight, it is likely they’re helping bring the pain in Ukraine’s recently launched twin offensives.

Russia deploys MiG-31 jets with ballistic ‘Killjoy’ missile to Belarus: UK intel

The U.K.’s defense ministry said the deployment of the missile, which has a range of up to 1,200 miles, is the first time Moscow has placed one of its limited Killjoy munitions in Belarus.

“Russia has occasionally launched these weapons during the Ukraine war, but stocks are likely very limited,” officials said in a daily intelligence update.

The MiG-31K is “adapted to carry” the ballistic missile, but defense officials argued the deployment of the weapons to Belarus would do little to strategically advance Russia in its war in Ukraine.

“It continues to expend its advanced long-range munitions against targets of limited operational importance,” the intelligence briefing said. “Basing KILLJOY in Belarus gives Russia little added advantage in terms of striking additional targets within Ukraine.”
