Teens accused of plotting Rock Hill, SC, man’s death over use of Instagram

Four South Carolina teenagers plotted the shooting death of a Rock Hill man earlier this month because they were upset over discipline related to their use of Instagram, police testified in court Tuesday.

Rock Hill Police Department Detective Eric Olson described the Nov. 14 shooting death of Larry Ingram Jr., 38, as “an execution” during a detention hearing Tuesday in York County Family Court. Ingram had taken away laptop computers used by the teenagers earlier in the day on Nov. 14.

There was a dispute over the way they were using Instagram, Olson testified.

The suspects set up a plot to kill Ingram because they were unhappy with the discipline, Olson testified. Ingram was lured into a hallway at his apartment by one of the juveniles who kicked a door, and another suspect who threw an object at a door, Olson testified.

The noises brought Ingram out of his bedroom to investigate, Olson testified. “He was then shot in the back,” Olson testified. Ingram then was shot again while on the ground, Olson testified.

The shooting death is the third in 2022 in York County where juveniles have been charged with murder. Earlier in 2022, prosecutors in York County announced they were seeking a waiver to try two juveniles as adults for their alleged roles in shooting deaths. One of the suspects was 14 in a York woman’s shooting death. The other was 16 in the case of a triple homicide of three teens in Rock Hill.

Investigating the investigators: FBI sent list of six demands in wake of ‘bogus information’ from informants

The FBI has received a series of written questions from a top Republican over the bureau’s handling of “secret informants” on the heels of “bogus information” being obtained from sources and in the wake of a bombshell report on the program’s underlying problems, the Washington Examiner has learned.

The FBI’s Confidential Human Source program has been marred by “red flags” for years, and informants such as British ex-spy Christopher Steele, the author of the discredited dossier claiming that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia, have funneled the FBI false information while receiving taxpayer dollars. Steele’s main dossier source, Russian analyst Igor Danchenko, was also revealed to have been on the FBI’s payroll from 2017 to 2020.

Now, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is demanding information and documents from the bureau in connection to its informant program, claiming it has “systemic deficiencies,” according to a Wednesday letter sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray that was obtained by the Washington Examiner.

Pro-life advocates have expressed growing frustration with the FBI and local authorities for a lack of arrests in at least 10 arson attacks and more than 150 other crimes targeting pro-life groups and churches since May.

Last week, Julaine Appling, president of Wisconsin Family Life, told the Wisconsin State Journal that they have not received much information from police or the FBI in recent months about the arson attack on her organization May 8.

LifeNews has counted at least 10 arson or attempted arson attacks directly targeting pro-lifers and more than 150 other attacks since May when someone leaked a draft of the Supreme Court ruling Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health.

Last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted that most of the abortion-related attacks this year have targeted pro-life organizations. “Since the Dobbs decision, probably in the neighborhood of 70 percent of our abortion-related violence cases or threats cases are cases of violence or threats against … pro-life organizations,” he told a U.S. Senate committee.

Christine McVie, Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter, dies aged 79

She died peacefully at a hospital in the company of her family, a statement said.

The family’s statement said “we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally”.

Born Christine Perfect, McVie married Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie and joined the group in 1971.

Fleetwood Mac was one of the world’s best known rock bands in the 1970s and ’80s.

A statement by the band said of McVie: “We were so lucky to have a life with her.

“Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed.”

NY man sentenced to 17.5 years in prison for hate crime against Asian woman

Tammel Esco, 42, attacked a woman of Filipino descent, 67, on Mar 11 after calling her an “Asian b****.” Esco went on to punch his victim 125 times and stomped and spit on her.

The woman was treated for bleeding on the brain, multiple facial fractures, as well as bruising and lacerations to her head and face at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

The sentence is a result of a plea deal Esco accepted when he pleaded guilty. He was initially indicted by a grand jury for attempted murder in the second degree as a hate crime, among other violent felony hate crime charges, while being held without bond.

“Because of the viciousness and hate of Tammel Esco, I lost the place I called home for over 24 years, the place where I raised my daughters, and my longtime neighbors,” the anonymous victim said in her impact statement. “As the attack happened, all I could think was, ‘Please Lord let me live, please Lord, my daughters need me.’”

Two Navy ships recently seemed like they were about to collide in San Diego Bay before both sharply turned away in what almost looked like a game of “chicken” with warships, triggering a Navy investigation.

A video posted on Twitter showed the two-minute encounter Tuesday morning between the guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen and the dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry.

Navy personnel on both ships can be heard saying they’re going to turn to port, or left, to avoid a collision. Within two minutes, both ships turn left out of each other’s way. Groups of sailors can be seen standing outside on each ship.

It isn’t clear why the ships came so close to each other. The Navy is now investigating the near miss, Navy Times reported.

“[Apple] is providing aid and comfort to the CCP.” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) slammed Apple for kowtowing to the Chinese communist government while simultaneously trying to squash free speech in America by potentially banning Twitter from the App Store.

The riots against tyrannical Chinese Communist Party (CCP) COVID-19 lockdowns and other authoritarian policies have captured the attention of the world. One of the groups protesting harsh working conditions en masse in China are employees of Apple iPhone manufacturer Foxconn, according to PJ Media.

“There’s reports that Apple is not allowing the protestors to use this airdrop function where they’re trying to communicate,” DeSantis stated. “That, obviously, is providing aid and comfort to the CCP, and so you see that report and that’s very concerning.”

Congressional Republicans are joining Musk in critiquing Apple’s threat to Twitter, including Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), who called it “unacceptable.” Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) also condemned the threat.

Musk tweeted Monday, “Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?”

House Republicans tell NIH to keep documents related to COVID-19 origins

House Republicans aim to ramp up investigations into the origins of the pandemic at the helm of key oversight committees, which will give them wide-ranging powers, including the ability to issue subpoenas for testimony from health officials, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Republican leader on the Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA), Republican leader on the subcommittee on oversight and investigations, and Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), Republican leader on the subcommittee on health, directed the NIH to keep all records relevant to their inquiries into the origins of the pandemic.

“NIH’s persistent lack of transparency with members of its authorizing committee of jurisdiction is troubling,” the leaders wrote in a letter to Dr. Lawrence Tabak, acting director of the NIH. “Between March 18, 2021, through October 31, 2022, we sent a total of twelve letters requesting information from NIH that have gone largely unanswered related to the origins of COVID-19 and NIH’s grant to EcoHealth Alliance, and three other topics.”

GOP leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee have been investigating the pandemic’s origins since 2021, particularly looking into a theory that the coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Cruz accused the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairwoman of “covering” for Biden after Shaheen prevented nominee George Kent from answering his questions during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing.

Kent, who is Biden’s choice to be the next ambassador to Estonia, had previously testified as a witness during former President Trump’s first impeachment inquiry and told lawmakers that he raised concerns about Hunter Biden’s lucrative service on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company – only to be rebuffed by the Biden administration.

Cruz asked Kent, “Do you think Joe Biden holding a billion dollars hostage to force the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor that is investigating the corrupt oligarch who’s paying his son a million dollars a year? Did getting that prosecutor fired benefit that oligarch?”

However, before the nominee could answer, Shaheen intervened.

“Are you going to allow him to answer the question, Madam Chairman?” Cruz asked.

“I am not going to allow him to answer the question,” she replied.

World News:

Kurdish SOF Night Raid Against Terror Cell

Kurdish CTG special operations forces released footage of nighttime raids conducted to capture members of various terror cells. The CTG is based out of Iraq but does carry out cross border operations into Syria as well.

It’s not clear from the footage if the target criminals were ISIS-linked Sunni insurgents or Iranian-linked Shia operatives.

As seen in the footage, the CTG is trained and equipped by US special operations teams. They often interoperate on missions like these, and it’s totally possible that US troops were along for the ride on this operation.

2 million migrants set to become citizens overnight as Germany doubles down on Great Replacement

Germany is inching closer to a major overhaul of citizenship and immigration laws that could see 2 million immigrants become citizens overnight, with Interior Minister Nancy Faeser and Chancellor Olaf Scholz, both of the Social Democrats (SPD), driving forward with their plan even as the country deals with a crisis that has seen 1.2 million migrants arrive just in 2022.

The new law features a number of radical changes that will shape Germany’s demographic and political future for generations.

“The citizenship certificate, a document that should be among the most desirable and hardest to obtain in the world, becomes an effortless junk item in Germany’s ‘going out of business’ sale.”

The immediate result of this new law would be approximately 2 million migrants, many of them Syrians along with other Middle Easterners and Africans who arrived in 2015 and 2016, obtaining citizenship overnight along with their children.

The Federal Ministry of the Interior also plans for children of migrants to automatically receive German citizenship if one parent has had their “lawful habitual residence” in Germany for five years.
