Biden administration SUED for ‘censoring’ free speech on social media

The Republican attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri are accusing the Biden administration of having ‘worked hand-in-hand’ with social media giants to ‘censor’ news stories that reflect negatively on the White House.

‘Throughout this case, we have uncovered a disturbing amount of collusion between Big Tech and Big Government,’ Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said in a statement on Monday.

‘This egregious attack on our First Amendment will be met with an equally full-hearted defense of the rights of the American people.’

The 164-page lawsuit was filed late last week, but an updated Monday filing indicates that the Republican officials are widening their legal efforts to target 47 more government departments, agencies and officials in addition to the 20 defendants originally listed.

President Joe Biden, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Nina Jankowicz, who was meant to head Biden’s now-defunct Disinformation Governance Board, are among the dozens of defendants listed in the suit.

Newsom’s INSANE new bill gives government control over what doctors can say to patients

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently signed California Assembly Bill 2098, which will punish doctors who dare to discuss what the government deems to be “misinformation” about COVID-19 with their patients.

Existing state law requires the Medical Board of California and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California to “take action against any licensed physician and surgeon who is charged with unprofessional conduct.”

The new bill has now designated alleged “misinformation or disinformation related to COVID-19, including false or misleading information regarding the nature and risks of the virus, its prevention and treatment; and the development, safety, and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines” as unprofessional conduct, which could result in license revocation.

The obvious problem with this new law is that it gives the government — not medical professionals —the authority to decide what is and is not medical “misinformation” This is especially problematic given the extreme politicization of anything related to COVID-19, from the efficacy of masks to vaccine safety to early treatment options.

Former Portland-area Democrat mayor pleads guilty to child porn charge

Dennis “Denny” Doyle, who served as mayor of Beaverton, Ore. from 2009 to 2021, pled guilty in federal court on Tuesday to illegal possession of child pornography. “You know, we make mistakes,” Doyle said on his way out of the courtroom.

Several of the images in Doyle’s possession were of children under the age of 12. The children in these images had been identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as “known sexually exploited minors.”

Doyle’s guilty plea means that he will not be lawfully allowed to own a firearm, vote, or hold public office. He was ordered in March to have “no direct or indirect contact with anyone under 18,” Oregon Live reports. “That included his grandchildren, who are between ages 5 and 14, unless he received permission from a pretrial supervision officer.”

Last week, a woman wearing a trash bag, metal collar, and duct tape around her neck knocked on a neighbor’s door and pleaded for help, claiming she had been held captive for weeks in a man’s Missouri home, according to Clay County court documents.

Police have since arrested the suspect and charged him with first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, and second-degree assault.

The frail 22-year-old woman, with ligature marks on her wrists and bruising on her body, told an Excelsior Springs neighbor that the man had held her against her will and raped her repeatedly.

The woman said she was handcuffed by her wrists and ankles and held captive in a small room in the basement of a home rented by Tim Haslett Jr., 39.

According to court documents, Haslett is accused of picking up the woman in September and bringing her back to his home, where he allegedly “whipped her while she was restrained…there were injuries on her back that were consistent with this description.”

China’s Drug Attack on the US

The Chinese have a very long memory. And a strong sense of history.

If only Americans possessed both, for we would be able far better to understand the enormous consequences of the lethal drug abuse harming America from the massive quantities of death-dealing fentanyl being smuggled into our country, with its origins often a Chinese lab.

The Chinese know full well that a society’s addiction to drugs can unravel a proud nation, stripping away its very sovereignty. When opium was brought to China in the 1700s, the British quickly used the drug as a means of gaining an economic advantage over its new trading partner. The addiction to the drug was so explosive that the Chinese emperor eventually sought to ban it. When his military destroyed warehouses full of the drug, the British responded with a crushing naval attack that became known as a series of Opium Wars.

Other Western nations followed Britain’s lead, but it was England that forced a humiliating treaty on the Chinese, and evidently that cause-and-effect has never been forgotten by today’s Chinese rulers.

So as a leading global manufacturer of fentanyl, China is unique in appreciating just how destabilizing such a drug can be to a nation.

In fact, this very issue was explored during a recent interview with the Communist Chinese Ambassador to the US, Qin Gang, who was quick to remind Newsweek that China knows full well the devastating impact of illicit drugs. Not surprisingly, he was quick to deny any suggestion their manufacturing of fentanyl was their way of “returning the favor” to Western nations.

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law at the end of September, which will require grocery stores across the state to phase out the small bags, typically found on produce and meat aisles in grocery stores, by Jan. 1, 2025.

California is the first state in the nation to phase out such bags, according to The Seattle Times. The traditional bags will be replaced with recycled paper bags or bags that are compostable.

The bill was opposed by the California Grocers Association, which sent a letter to the bill’s author, state Sen. Susan Talamantes Eggman, requesting grocery stores have until 2025 to switch to compostable bags instead of an original 2023 timeline. The request was granted.

California’s INSANITY makes prices higher for US ALL

Glenn has an idea: Perhaps the rest of the 49 United States should begin completely ignoring California from here on out. Why?

In this clip, Glenn shares two stories that prove California’s INSANITY has gone TOO FAR.

Because soon California’s crazy policies could affect prices for ALL OF US, whether you live there or not.

And Glenn is sick and tired of this: ‘If you want to do that in your state, do that in your state,’ he says. ‘[But] I don’t have to be dragged along with it.’

In June, Bloomberg reported that 8.4 million home renters were behind in their rent and millions more were behind in their mortgage payments. In July, Business Insider reported that 42% of Americans were “struggling financially.” But as government officials watched those numbers increase in recent months, the Biden administration authorized the issuance of 255,602 smartphones to illegal immigrants.

The Department of Homeland Security issued the phones.

A report posted on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) website noted that these phones cost the American taxpayer $245,377 per day or almost $90 million a year.

Why I’m leaving the Democratic Party

I believe in a government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not.

Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite.

If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.

President Joe Biden’s State Department said one of its goals is to “assess resources for gender dysphoria and gender transition care at posts for employees and their dependents” as part of a broader effort to “make overseas service more inclusive.”

According to the department’s recently released Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Strategic Plan, one of the State Department’s strategies to make service more “inclusive” is working to “increase support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) employees and family members.”

That effort includes assessing “resources for gender dysphoria and gender transition care at posts for employees and their dependents,” the plan states.

Biden Admin Begged Saudis To Delay Oil Production Cuts Until Days Before The Election: REPORT

Biden administration officials urged Saudi Arabia to delay production cuts until a few days before the midterm elections, meaning that Americans would not have felt the impact of reduced supplies before casting their ballots, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its Russia-led allies, which are collectively known as OPEC+, cut crude oil production on Oct. 5 by 2 million barrels per day to reduce global supply and raise prices. Before the cut was announced, the Biden administration begged Saudi Arabia, a founding member of OPEC, to delay the decision until November, the WSJ reported, citing people familiar with the negotiations.

Saudi Arabia viewed the appeals as a cynical attempt to avoid fallout prior to the November elections and refused to do so, according to the WSJ. Arab kingdom instead pressured its OPEC allies to vote to slash production following the Biden administration’s attempts to delay the cuts.

Politicians, Indigenous groups and the state Democratic party also called for the resignation of two other council members who participated in the meeting: Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León, a powerful player in California politics who unsuccessfully ran for LA mayor and the Senate. Both men apologized on Monday, but did not vacate their seats.

The president of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, Ron Herrera, who also took part, stepped down from his position on Monday evening.

Fernando Guerra of the Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University called the racist language “horrific” but added that the recording underscored the reality of politics. Once power is gained, “you are not going to give it to someone else”.

Videos: Russia goes scorched earth with massive new missile barrage on Ukraine; civilian centers hit, power and water targeted

Russia appears to be heavily focusing its attacks on critical civilian infrastructure, aiming to knock out key power plants, water supplies, roads and bridges.

The wave of Russian missile strikes come after Ukrainian forces have managed to claw back hundreds of miles of territory Russian forces had captured earlier in the war.

The Russian strikes could also be a retaliatory show of force after someone detonated a truck bomb on the Kerch bridge, which connected Russia to Russian-held Crimea.

One video showed a pair of massive explosions along a roadway.

Multiple Russian missile strikes landed in Lviv, which is about 40 miles east of Ukraine’s western border with Poland, a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

One video, taken by a commuter, showed a missile impacting on an electrical plant right as they were driving by.

Protests in Haiti over PM’s call for international armed forces

The protests come after several weeks of violent demonstrations sparked by an announcement that fuel prices would increase.

“This request is an unconstitutional act; this is an act against the state,” said Josue Merilein, a local resident.

“It is an action against the Haitian people’s demands, who want a free country where everyone can eat, have health care, and live like human beings.”

Protesters started calling for the prime minister to resign last month after he announced that the government would no longer subsidise fuel.

‘The worst is yet to come’: IMF cuts global and euro area growth outlook

The euro area’s economy is now expected to grow by just 0.5% in 2023 as factors including the war in Ukraine, record inflation and the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic weigh on the outlook, the International Monetary Fund said on Tuesday.

The 19-country eurozone — which will grow to 20 members from 1 January 2023 with the adoption of the single currency by Croatia — is now projected to post the slowest growth of any region worldwide next year after the IMF cut its forecast by 0.7 percentage points from its previous outlook delivered just three months ago.

Germany, the European Union’s economic powerhouse, is now expected to post negative annual growth (-0.3%) as is Italy (-0.2%). The outlook for France and Spain remains positive although lower than the July forecast with annual GDP now seen at 0.7% and 1.2% respectively.

A nurse in the U.K. pleaded not guilty Monday to accusations that she murdered five baby boys and two girls, and attempted to murder 10 more children.

Lucy Letby, 32, was a “constant, malevolent presence” in the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital, prosecutor Nick Johnson argued before a jury at Manchester Crown Court in northwest England, according to The Independent.

Of the babies Letby allegedly murdered or attempted to murder between 2015 and 2016, the prosecution said she injected some with insulin, while another she injected with air. She allegedly attempted to kill one baby three times.

‘Joke is always on the poorest’ when it comes to ‘obsessions of the woke left’

Sky News host Rowan Dean says when it comes to “sanctimonious virtue-signalling and obsessions of the woke left,” the joke is always on the poorest and most vulnerable people in our society.

“Climate change is the cruellest of all woke jokes, a joke built on not one but two bizarre obsessions,” Mr Dean said.

“The extreme obsession that the planet faces imminent destruction due to human activity and the arrogant obsession that it is within our power to reverse this process.

“Almost on a daily basis we are confronted with outlandish claims that have no basis in observable evidence but rely on computer-modelling.

“The relentless climate change obsession now never stops. Day in, day out.”

Australians ‘suffering’ from companies caving into ‘pressure from greenie shareholders’

Sky News host Chris Smith says the rising cost of living is already “crippling” households, and it’s “about to get worse” for Australians.

“We now know about the 35 per cent electricity price spike next year,” Mr Smith said.

“It seems that part of the problem here are companies who choose to cave in to pressure from greenie shareholders, for massive climate action, over making a profit.

“We’ve heard it countless times, and it’s ordinary Australians who are suffering.”

Mr Smith discussed the issue with Economist Alan Moran.
