FL man, 47, shoots ex-wife and her son dead during argument over bill

A Florida man allegedly shot his ex-wife and her son in front of his two young children during an argument over the electric bill in the home the divorced couple shared.

Michael D. Williams, 47, of Deland – near Orlando – was arrested on September 18 by the Volusia Sherriff’s Office after he called 911 and admitted shooting her ex-wife Marsha Ebanks-Williams, 48, and her son Robert Adams, 28.

‘Yes, I shot him and his mother,’ Williams told the dispatcher, according to the 911 recording, obtained by WESH. ‘I had my weapon on me and while they were attacking me, I basically, I had to, basically. I shot them.’

Williams – who has a history of domestic violence and child abuse – surrendered to police without incident around 8pm and told police he and Ebanks-Williams were arguing over the electricity usage, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

Ebanks-Williams, a mental health coach, had called police several hours ahead of the attack, seeking ‘legal advice’ about ‘who controls the power,’ Henderson said.

A 66-year-old man was seated at a table outside the restaurant on West 58th St. around 10:30 p.m. last Friday. Another man was walking down the sidewalk.

When he reached the table, he picked up a change and violently threw it at the seated man.

The victim dropped his phone during the assault and the attacker picked it up and ran away eastbound on 58th St.

The victim got himself to Mount Sinai West for treatment of a broken bone in his arm.

A meat cleaver was recovered from the Brooklyn bathroom where the dismembered body of a 21-year-old woman was found, police sources said Thursday.

After not seeing the tenant for close to a month, and complaints of foul odors coming from her apartment, the super of the building in Cypress Hills decided to do a wellness check about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, a police source said.

When the super got to the apartment on Lindwood St. near Atlantic Ave. he was met by the victim’s boyfriend, who refused to let him inside, the source said.

When the super left to alert police, the boyfriend and another man exited the building carrying a duffle bag, the source said. The super went back to the now-vacant apartment and found the suitcases stuffed with body parts before police arrived, the source said.

The US Air Force Academy is under fire for holding diversity and inclusion training that urges cadets to use non-gendered language, scrapping words like ‘mom,’ and ‘dad’, as well as ‘girlfriend’ and ‘boyfriend.’

According to screenshots from the seminar, obtained by FOX News Digital, Air Force training officials are asking recruits to use generic terms like ‘partner’ instead of ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend,’ and ‘parent’ or ‘parents’ instead of ‘mom’ and ‘dad.’

The slides shared by FOX News prompted outrage from many across the country, including Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL).

Waltz, a Green Beret and Afghan War veteran, spoke with the news agency about his feelings regarding what he calls ‘destructive’ lessons being taught to young cadets.

He even compared the workshops to those seen in the communist Soviet Union and China, held to push extreme ideologies on recruits.

This comes as President Biden spoke highly of Hunter and praised him for overcoming drug addiction in an interview aired Sunday night.

‘I love my son, number one,’ Biden said when asked about whether Hunter’s work or past struggles could be a liability on the 2024 campaign trail. ‘He fought an addiction problem and he overcame it, he wrote about it.

‘And no, there is not a single thing that I’ve observed, at all, that would affect me or the United States relative to my son Hunter.’

Blake Barrow, CEO of the El Paso Rescue Mission charity, said his organization has been overwhelmed by the influx of migrants crossing the border illegally, but the immigrants have been more than happy to take up Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s offer to bus them to New York City.

‘About 20% of them want to go to New York,’ Barrow wrote in an open letter on Wednesday. ‘The city has been chartering busses to New York to assist those desiring that destination.

‘I am not aware of anyone being placed on a bus to New York who did not want to go there.’

The crisis at the border is escalating to such an extent that 1,050 migrants, predominantly from Venezuela, are arriving every day, with Barrow’s organization struggling to help the new arrivals.

He said the sheer volume of people turning up every day is straining the shelter, and that staff fear they cannot feed and clothe everyone who needs it.

The full reporting period, which runs through September, will probably end with 2.35 million encounters.

By definition, an encounter happens each time a Border Patrol agent physically lays hands on an individual attempting to enter the country illegally, so one migrant may be countered multiple times.

These numbers are literally off the charts.

2.15 million encounters is the highest number since the Eisenhower administration started keeping records in 1960. It’s also up significantly from 1.7 million encounters during Biden’s first term – and even that was a record at the time.

For comparison, between 2010 and 2016, Border Patrol handled less than 500,000 encounters and never topped 400,000 in 2011, 2012 and 2015. All together Border Patrol’s 17,000 agents have had to process immigrants approximately 4 million times since Biden became president

.In this trend holds, and there’s no indication that it won’t, a second half of the Biden term could boost that number to some five million or higher.

Mark Krikorian, executive director of the immigration policy think tank Center for Immigration Studies, estimates the lifetime fiscal cost of the illegal aliens Biden has let in so far at more than $100 billion.

That’s in addition to $140 billion a year taxpayers already bear for benefits and services to the longer-term illegal alien population.

But those aren’t the only costs.

ESG Could ‘Become Part of Our Credit Scores’—WV Treasurer Riley Moore

ESG stands for ‘environmental, social, and governance:’ a collection of corporate performance criteria that exist outside of fiduciary responsibility.

Money managers such as Blackrock, arguably ESG’s biggest champion, are increasingly using them to determine investment.

Riley Moore, treasurer of the state of West Virginia, sees ESG as a destructive force. He is leading a movement of state governments that are terminating contracts with companies that adopt ESG policies, and blocking them from bidding on them.

“For us here in West Virginia, it is something that would ultimately destroy our economy, our people and our way of life,” Moore says.
