Man charged with raping 10-year-old Ohio girl who later sought abortion

Gershon Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was a Columbus apartment, was arrested Tuesday after he confessed to raping the girl on at least two occasions, police said. Police charged Fuentes with rape, a felony of the first degree in Ohio.
Ebner said the case did not warrant Fuentes, a Hispanic man believed to be in the country illegally, to be held without bond but that a high bond was necessary due to him being a possible flight risk and for the safety of the child involved.
The journalist also said she confirmed that the Indiana doctor who initially shared the story of the girl, Caitlin Bernard, now faces a privacy law violation filed by her employer.
ANALYSIS: Here’s Why The Media’s Abortion Narrative On IVF Is Total Nonsense

New state-level abortion restrictions do not ban in vitro fertilization (IVF) despite concerns raised by corporate media and abortion advocates, according to multiple experts.
During IVF, eggs are extracted from a woman’s body, fertilized in a lab, frozen and implanted into a womb, according to the Mayo Clinic, with unwanted embryos left over at the end of the process often donated or discarded.
The New York Times ran an article highlighting fears of “infertility patients and doctors” that abortion bans could limit IVF, while NBC News reported that “providers and lawyers” were worried about new laws impacting IVF, and an opinion piece in the Los Angeles Times suggested that IVF would be “derailed” by abortion restrictions.
“Pro-abortion activists and legacy media outlets who continue to suggest that IVF will be limited intentionally mislead the American people,” Mallory Carroll, vice president at SBA Pro-Life America, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Not a single state legislature or Congress is debating making fertility treatments or IVF illegal – to suggest otherwise is scaremongering.”

Gender-affirming closet at Missouri high school gets $10K grant so LBGTQ students can wear clothes that reflect their gender identities without parents knowing

A gender-affirming closet is moving forward at a Missouri high school, and officials and advocates say it will allow LGBTQ students to wear clothes at school that reflect their gender identities, especially if they don’t feel comfortable wearing such clothes at home.
Columbia Public Schools Board of Education accepted and approved a $10,000 grant Monday to create the gender-affirming closet at Rock Bridge High School, KMIZ-TV reported, adding that the money will come from the It Gets Better Project.
The closet would include clothing for LGBTQ+ students who might not feel comfortable wearing gender-affirming clothes at home, the station said in a previous story about the closet.
‘An alarming pattern’: Probe launched into Big Tech-White House ‘collusion’

A Republican congressman initiated a probe into potential collusion between the White House and tech companies Wednesday, demanding the Biden administration’s senior climate adviser preserve relevant documents.
“Recently, you claimed, ‘The tech companies have to stop allowing specific individuals over and over again to spread disinformation,’” Republican Rep. Lance Gooden of Texas, a co-founder of the Freedom from Big Tech Caucus, wrote to Gina McCarthy. “Major platforms, including Meta (Facebook), Google, Amazon, and Twitter, have cracked down on users’ ability to freely question the Biden administration’s narrative on climate change.”
“We are concerned this violates users’ First Amendment rights and creates a precedent that allows the Biden Administration to censor anyone who disagrees with its radical climate agenda,” Gooden wrote. “There has been an alarming pattern of big tech censoring users for offering opinions on climate change that counters the Biden Administration’s policies, even when their critique or information is accurate.”
Louisiana abortion clinic to resume operations after Baton Rouge judge blocks trigger law

East Baton Rouge District Judge Don Johnson on Tuesday granted a temporary restraining order blocking Louisiana’s near total ban on abortion as a lawsuit challenging the law proceeds.
The decision follows an order from a New Orleans judge who agreed with Attorney General Jeff Landry that the proper venue for the case was in the capitol, a move that dissolved a previous restraining order.
The case centers on a legal challenge from Hope Medical Group, a Shreveport abortion clinic, and abortion advocates who claim a 2006 trigger law and another passed in the 2022 legislative session are unconstitutionally vague, both in terms of exceptions and when they take effect.
Bay Area inflation skyrockets by highest rate in nearly four decades

Consumer prices in the Bay Area hopped higher by 6.8% in June, the fastest yearly increase since 1984, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday. In October 1984, Bay Area inflation jumped at a yearly rate of 7.1%, according to this news organization’s analysis of archival government reports.
Ominously, inflation could become far worse before prices finally ease up, warned Christopher Thornberg, co-founder and economist with Beacon Economics.
“You may see a 30% increase in prices from where we are now,” Thornberg said.

“There are plenty of families that that’s more than their food budget a year,” Antoni said. “I can’t emphasize enough how much this is really crushing consumers. … It’s truly crushing the middle class and then the White House spokesperson says these garbage lines like ‘the economy is in transition.’ Transition in the same sense, I suppose, that an iceberg transitioned the Titanic into a submarine.”

Tech CEO Arrested over 1992 Silicon Valley Cold Case Murder

The Mercury News reports that tech entrepreneur John Woodward, the CEO of ReadyTech, was arrested as he landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City in relation to the murder of computer engineer Laurie Houts on September 5, 1992. Houts was found fatally strangled in her car near a California garbage dump.
At the time of the initial investigation, Woodward, who was the roommate of the victim’s boyfriend, was arrested in connection with the case, but two hung juries resulted in the case being dismissed. Woodward moved to the Netherlands soon afterward.
Woodward is set to be extracted to Santa Clara County by the end of the month, according to District Attorney Jeff Rosen. Once arriving in the county, Woodward will be arraigned for the third time in the murder of Houts.

The letter also notes the enemies list would consist of groups that “actively working to diminish a students’ right to honesty in education, freedom of sexual and gender identity, and teacher autonomy.”
The Senators also blasted America’s largest labor union, which has over three million members working in public education, for being “more concerned with advancing a ‘social justice’ agenda instead of meeting the needs of children and students who are experiencing catastrophic learning challenges.”
The four Republican Senators noted the NEA’s measure is, unlike others, not publicly available, and requested a copy of the content of the measure and inquired about the specific purpose of the “enemies list.”
The NEA has vocally opposed critical race theory bans in addition to actively propagating the belief that America is riddled with institutional racism and “white supremacy culture,” which allegedly confers “the invisibly racial benefits of white privilege.” The union also expresses a belief in “white fragility” and promotes prominent critical race theorists like Robin DiAngelo

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO — Rep. Mayra Flores: Biden Admin Encourages Illegal Immigration

Flores recently granted Breitbart News an interview where she spoke about the current issues facing her district in South Texas, particularly the immigration crisis. According to Flores, mismanagement by the Biden Administration at the border has worsened while Democrat politicians dismiss the challenges at hand.
“It’s not fair, it’s not fair for the Democratic Party to take advantage, because they are taking advantage of the needs of the migrants,” she said.
Apprehensions at the border have jumped dramatically since the start of the Biden Administration, leading to almost daily record-breaking figures. Messaging by the administration, plus moves like ending Title 42 removals, have overwhelmed the detention and enforcement capabilities of the Department of Homeland Security.

German and Austrian Ministers: ‘No Alternative’ To Ending Dependency on Russian Energy

German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs Robert Habeck and Austrian Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler met this week in Vienna to discuss the ongoing energy situation and both agreed on a need to become more independent of Russia.
“We will only be safe again when we are independent of Russian gas supplies,” Minister Habeck said, while Minister Gewessler added, “there is no alternative” to becoming less dependent on Russian sources of energy.
Habeck also noted that European countries could be in for months of interruption in energy supplies but assured that no one would freeze as a result of interruptions this coming winter.
Fears were stoked on Monday when Russia halted gas supplies on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for ten days, claiming the halt was due to annual maintenance work. However, Minister Habeck stated that EU countries should be prepared in case Russia shut down the pipeline permanently.

Shock Development as Actual Conservative, Kemi Badenoch Emerges as Potential UK Prime Minister

Former equalities minister Kemi Badenoch appears to be emerging as the preferred choice of the small-c conservative base of the Conservative party in the contest to replace liberal-minded Boris Johnson as the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
To the dismay of the far-left in Britain, the conservative right seems to be coalescing around the Nigerian heritage MP for Saffron Walden, Kemi Badenoch, 42, who emerged as a champion in the struggle against Black Lives Matter and Critical Race Theory and has argued against the big spending and high tax philosophy that has defined Tory rule over the past decade.
Anglican Deacon and conservative political commentator for GB News, Calvin Robinson told Breitbart London that he is supporting Badenoch because “it would be great to see a conservative leader of the Conservative Party.”

Over 1,000 children in Telford were sexually exploited, inquiry finds

The three-year independent inquiry into child sexual exploitation (IICSE) found that abuse was allowed to continue for years and children, rather than perpetrators, were often blamed.
Issues were not investigated because of nervousness about race, the inquiry’s final report said, and teachers and youth workers were discouraged from reporting child sexual exploitation.
Tom Crowther QC, who chaired the inquiry, said: “The overwhelming theme of the evidence has been the appalling suffering of generations of children caused by the utter cruelty of those who committed child sexual exploitation.
