Texas father shoots pair of teens who attempted to rob car with infants inside

The husband and wife were arriving to their home just after midnight Sunday evening when the two teenage suspects approached the vehicle. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspects attempted to open the vehicle’s rear door, where the two children were seated.
“The adult male feared for the safety of his family and fired shots and struck both suspects,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez wrote in a statement. “The wife was driving and drove away after the shooting to get away from the suspects.”
Police have opened an investigation into the incident but say the father was within his rights to open fire.
New York police hunting for Long Island gunman who wounded 3 during shooting at luxury hotel pool party

Three people were wounded when shots rang out inside the lobby of a luxury New York hotel following a fight during a large party at the venue, according to police and an affiliate.
The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries when a gunman opened fire during a pool party near the entrance of The Mansion at Glen Cove, a hotel and event space located on Long Island, local FOX 5 New York reported.
An estimated 150 to 200 people were reportedly in attendance for the bash, which was hosted by a musician who goes by the name “Big Fendii,” according to Glen Cove Police Department Det. Lt. John Nagle and posts on social media.
“There was a disturbance taking place inside the hotel, in the lobby area,” police Det. Lt. Nagle told Fox News Digital. Speaking of the wounded security guard, he said: “When he went to intercede in that disturbance, he was shot.”
‘I threw the b*tch out the window’ Uptown man allegedly admits in call from police station; murder charge filed

An Uptown man threw a naked woman to her death from his fifth-floor apartment window minutes after his girlfriend arrived at his home on Wednesday evening, prosecutors said.
“I threw the b*tch out the window,” Tyson Tillman said in a phone call from the police station, according to prosecutor James O’Connor, a comment allegedly captured on a Chicago police officer’s bodyworn camera.
Surveillance video showed Tillman arriving at his apartment building on the 4500 block of North Magnolia around 10:09 p.m. Wednesday and his girlfriend arriving at the building 38 minutes later, O’Connor said.
Doorbell cameras from Tillman’s neighbors showed his girlfriend pacing the hallway until at least 10:57 p.m., according to O’Connor.
At 10:59 p.m., an exterior camera recorded Tanner’s naked body falling to the ground in an alley behind the apartment building, he said.
San Francisco schools used over $500K marked for improvements to remove ‘offensive’ Washington mural

“I want them to put the money back,” Citizens Bond Oversight Committee Chairman Rex Ridgeway said of how the school district spend the money, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “They’ve been using this as a slush fund as far as I’m concerned.”
At issue is the district spending $525,000 in a battle to cover up a mural at Washington High School of the nation’s first president, which the school board claimed is “offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African Americans.”
However, the decision was opposed by a school alumni association, who filed the lawsuit that was eventually settled when the district agreed to pay the association $345,000 in addition to the $180,000 to its own lawyers.

EXCLUSIVE: Migrant Routes, Fuel Theft Points Used by Mexican Narco-Terrorist Exposed

A fearsome narco-terrorist with a history of using car bombs managed to establish drug and human smuggling corridors on top of a lucrative fuel theft operation.
The now-jailed crime lord tried to disguise his organization by claiming it was a “self-defense group” to protect local innocents from cartels.
Known by the nicknames “El Tarzan and El Profe,” Octavio Leal Moncada is the leader of a criminal organization allied with the Gulf Cartel called the Pedro J. Mendez Armed Column in Hidalgo, Tamaulipas. The Nuevo Leon Attorney General’s Office assisted counterparts in Tamaulipas in arresting Leal Moncada while visiting Monterrey. Authorities in Tamaulipas had warrants against him for murder.
After his arrest, hundreds of Leal Moncada’s followers blocked the highway that connects Ciudad Victoria with Monterrey. The blockades were followed by protests calling for the drug lord’s release.
Exclusive: 10K Migrants Cross into Texas Border Town in Six Days

The source says migrant apprehensions in the city numbered nearly 10,000 over a six-day period ending on July 9 making it the leading crossing point in the nation for migrants.
By comparison, the entire Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector, once the busiest region along the Texas-Mexico border saw slightly more than 7,000 migrant apprehensions in the same six-day period. That sector consists of more than 300 border miles along the Rio Grande patrolled by agents from six separate stations.
The volume of crossings also puts a strain on Border Patrol detention resources in the city. The source says overcrowding is the norm with more than 2,000 migrants being detained in a soft-sided processing center designed to hold only 500.
The source says less than 3,000 migrants of the nearly 10,000 migrants apprehended over the six-day period were immediately returned to Mexico under the CDC’s Title 42 emergency authority. Most of the remaining 7,000 were released to a local non-government shelter in the city where the migrants will be afforded transportation further into the United States.
Americans Say January 6 Hearings Are Designed to Stop Trump in 2024

Sixty percent, overall, agree that the committee’s main aim is to prevent Trump from running in the next presidential election. Further, 62 percent of Democrats, 70 percent of Republicans, and a plurality of independents — 48 percent — share that view. According to the survey, independent voters “were the only group of the more than 21 demographic categories the I&I/TIPP Poll follows that was below 50%.”
“Every other category had a majority, liberal-left, black-white-hispanic, north-south-east-west, male-female, you name it,” the survey found.
Americans also tend to believe that the January 6 committee — comprised of such representatives as Adam Schiff (D-CA), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Liz Cheney (R-WY), and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) — “was handpicked and represents only Democrats’ points of view.” A plurality, 46 percent, agree with that assessment, compared to 35 percent who disagree.
While 64 percent of Republicans believe the committee is biased against Trump and Republicans, 43 percent of Democrats agree. Independents are split, as 38 percent agree and 38 percent disagree.

Amid Hunter’s ongoing scandals, Biden is going soft on China

The threat is not exactly new. The Trump administration pursued aggressive measures to rein in China’s growing assertiveness and espionage activities.
Yet, Joe Biden has gone soft on China since becoming president.
The Treasury Department has begun to refuse requests for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) connected with Hunter and Jim Biden and associates, which banks are required to file if they have concerns about a foreign transaction.
Over 150 of these SARs were crucial to establish the money trail into Biden bank accounts from China, Ukraine and Russia in the investigations so far by Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson.
In a letter last week to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Rep. James Comer, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, accused Treasury of running “cover” for Hunter with a new rule requiring Democrat sign-off for financial documents.
The sensitivity of these documents can be seen in two hitherto unpublished Suspicious Activity Reports exclusively obtained by The Post from nonprofit research outfit Marco Polo — one of which refers to Joe Biden by name.

Joe Biden Celebrates Republican Cave on Gun Control: ‘We’ve Finally Moved that Mountain’

The president spoke at a White House event celebrating the latest gun control bill he signed two weeks ago which earned the votes of 15 Senate Republicans.
“It’s a call to action to all of us to do more,” Biden said.
The president specifically praised Republican Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) for their leadership on the issue.
Cornyn was present at the White House celebration event, and even shook hands with Biden after he was finished speaking.
“Hope it doesn’t get you in trouble mentioning your names,” Biden added wryly.
Biden indicated that more was possible on gun control, thanks to the Republicans who finally caved on the issue.
Comeback kid: Trump wins with whites, Hispanics, says Dick Morris

“Our candidate in 2024 will be, and must be, Donald J. Trump. Accept no substitutes. Only he can put together the coalition that generated 74 million votes in 2020. And we don’t want a bleached-out, kinder, nicer, gentler Donald Trump, either! We want and need the same Donald Trump who won in 2016, increased his vote share in 2020 by eleven million votes, and in between, was one of our truly great presidents,” added Morris, a Newsmax analyst and host of Dick Morris Democracy.
More than most Trump insiders, Morris knows what he’s talking about. Not only is he a member of the Trump “extended family,” but he was a secret unpaid adviser to the president in 2020 and has continued to be a key political whisperer.
“I have spoken with the former president dozens of times since he left office, and our conversations were always either about how he was cheated in 2020, or how he would get back in 2024. He has never, for a moment, taken his eye off the ball — getting back in the White House!” added Morris.
Massachusetts Supreme Court rejects GOP bid to restrict no-excuse mail-in voting

The ruling is the latest decision in a string of legal challenges from Republican lawmakers seeking to restrict mail-in voting access.
Wisconsin’s conservative-controlled Supreme Court ruled Friday that state law does not authorize ballot drop boxes to be placed anywhere other than election clerk offices, dealing a blow to Democratic proponents who had argued it would expand access to voting in the battleground state.
Massachusetts joins 34 other states and Washington, D.C., in offering no-excuse mail-in voting, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Republicans in Pennsylvania and Arizona have filed lawsuits against state election officials to end the practice in their states, raising legal challenges in two key swing states that secured President Joe Biden’s victory in 2020.
