Trump-Hating, Oscar Winning Writer/Director, Paul Haggis Is Arrested For Rape In Italy

Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis (Crash) was detained on Sunday in the southern Italian town of Ostuni on charges of sexual assault and aggravated personal injury, according to multiple reports in the Italian media and a statement by the public prosecutors of the nearby city of Brindisi.
A young woman, identified only as being “foreign,” that is not Italian, has pressed charges against Haggis, accusing the two-time Oscar winner of forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse over the course of two days in Ostuni, where Haggis was scheduled to hold a series of master classes at the Allora Fest,
The woman was taken to the Papola Casale airport in Brindisi on Sunday morning and left there despite her “precarious physical and psychological conditions,” according to an Italian police report. She was then aided by airport staff and police officers and taken to the hospital. She subsequently filed formal charges.
Monthly car payments hit record high as vehicle costs soar

Average monthly car payments hit a record high in May as the cost of new vehicles soared, thanks in part to higher interest rates and a dwindling supply chain.
The average monthly car payment last month hit $712, roughly a 1.7% increase compared to the month before, according to data from Moody’s Analytics.
Additionally, the average price of a new vehicle rose to $47,418 during the same month, vastly outpacing income growth.
As a result, it would cost the average consumer 41.3 weeks’ worth of a median income to buy a new vehicle in the month of May — a 19% increase from the same time period last year.
Fauci Is Back With A Warning For America That Will Piss You Off, Just In Time For Midterms [VIDEO]

Having recently had COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who was labeled “fully vaccinated” and even had the boosters, made an announcement to Americans and the world that the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t over.
That’s right, while Americans have taken off their masks and companies move employees back into the office, the famous doctor called for more people to get the COVID-19 drug and even to start wearing a mask again.
Releasing a video of him wearing a suit and appearing to be in good health, Dr. Fauci stated in the video below, “Hopefully, the more people that get vaccinated and boosted and the more people that realize the importance of when you have a high level of viral dynamics, that when you’re in an indoor setting, you should wear a mask, even though the whole world including the United States and the U.K. are just worn out and tired by this outbreak, it isn’t over yet.
People need to realize it is never going to go back to zero. That’s not the nature of this virus.”

Supreme Court poised to hear case on election rules

The Associated Press reports that four of the high court’s conservative-leaning justices have expressed interest in deciding whether state courts should have the power to change federal election laws.
In March, Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote that the issue will “keep arising until the Court definitely resolves it.”
Four of the nine high court justices must agree to hear a case. Along with Kavanaugh, Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch have also expressed interest in the case.
The court may decide as soon as this week whether it will hear an appeal filed by North Carolina Republicans that challenges a state court ruling that threw out the congressional district maps drawn by that state’s General Assembly.

(POLL) Most want Congress to read the bills they pass, and to have their votes recored by name

Voters appear to overwhelmingly support a Republican congresswoman’s demand for roll call votes in the House of Representatives. They also say members of Congress should read the bills they pass into law.
That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.
The poll finds that 89% of likely US voters say the votes for passing bills in Congress should be recorded on roll calls, which means every member would be on the record as voting “yes” or “no.” Currently votes are often taken verbally with no individual roll call.
Only six percent (6%) say it’s okay for bills to be passed on unrecorded voice votes.

Intl Space Station Swerves to Avoid Debris From Russian Missile Test

The International Space Station last week was forced to dodge debris from a past Russian anti-satellite missile test, Space.com reports.
Last Thursday, Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, utilized a cargo ship that was docked at the ISS to push the station away from a piece of space debris that came from the destruction of a defunct Soviet-era satellite in a missile test last November.
“This afternoon, the International Space Station’s Progress 81 thrusters fired for 4 minutes, 34 seconds in a Pre-Determined Debris Avoidance Maneuver (PDAM) to provide the complex an extra measure of distance away from the predicted track of a fragment of Russian Cosmos 1408 debris,” NASA wrote in an update on the station.

ABC has become ‘insular and inbred’
A former ABC host has proven very clearly how the national broadcaster “refuses” to engage with all Australians, says Sky News host Chris Kenny.
Former ABC radio host Jon Faine was invited to partake in an upcoming Sky News Australia documentary about the public broadcaster, to coincide with its 90th anniversary.
However, Mr Faine declined the request and penned a column in The Age detailing his dislike for the channel and premise of the documentary.

Hundreds of UK Troops Banned From NATO Deployment over Barracks Orgies

One of the first official acts of General Sir Patrick Sanders, who became the head of the British Army this month, will be to ban hundreds of soldiers from the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment from a NATO mission to the Balkans after they were found to have been involved in a series of sexual orgies at the Merville Barracks in Colchester, Essex.
According to a report from The Times of London, a civilian woman had been smuggled onto the base 31 times over the course of five months to engage in sexual intercourse with multiple soldiers at a time.
Earlier this month, eight paratroopers of the 16 Air Assault Brigade had been placed under military police investigation after sex tapes emerged of them participating in orgies with the unnamed woman as dozens more looked on.
‘Sanity prevailed’ in swimming’s historic transgender decision
Sky News host Rita Panahi says the FINA decision to ban trans women from competing in female competition was “fairness” triumphing over a “twisted version of inclusion”.
“FINA, world swimming’s governing body, made the only rational decision possible and restored fairness to the women’s competition by imposing bans on transgender athletes,” Ms Panahi said.
“Men are bigger, faster and stronger. The very best female athletes in the world have no chance of beating male competitors whether it’s in basketball, tennis, athletics or swimming.
“In the end sanity prevailed. Reality trumped fantasy. Facts beat feelings.”

Japan court says ban on same-sex marriage constitutional

TOKYO (AP) — A Japanese court ruled Monday that the country’s ban on same-sex marriage does not violate the constitution, and rejected demands for compensation by three couples who said their right to free union and equality has been violated.
The Osaka District Court ruling is the second decision on the issue, and disagrees with a ruling last year by a Sapporo court that found the ban on same-sex marriages unconstitutional. It underscores how divisive the issue remains in Japan, the only member of the Group of Seven major industrialized nations that does not recognize same-sex unions.
The plaintiffs — two male couples and one female couple — were among 14 same-sex couples who filed lawsuits against the government in five major cities — Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Osaka — in 2019 for violating rights to free union and equality.
