Hunter and his colleagues at his investment firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) routinely raised millions of dollars for technology companies, hoping the firms would take off and make them all fortunes.
Metabiota was one of those firms. Emails between Hunter and his colleagues excitedly discuss how the company’s monitoring of medical data could become an essential tool for governments and companies looking to spot outbreaks of infectious diseases.
The president’s son and his colleagues invested $500,000 in Metabiota through their firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners.
They raised several million dollars of funding for the company from investment giants including Goldman Sachs.
But emails show Hunter was also particularly involved in Metabiota’s operations in Ukraine.
Nigerian Rail Service Suspended After ‘Terrorists’ Attack Train Carrying Nearly 1,000 Passengers
A group of suspected terrorist bandits attacked a passenger train headed to the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna from the capital Abuja late on Monday by detonating explosives on the rail track in order to trap the train, officials said.
One of the passengers also confirmed the bombing on social media, saying attackers destroyed the engines of the train after planting explosives and had surrounded the train, shooting sporadically.
“Please this is an emergency,” Anas Iro Danmusa wrote on Facebook. “We are helpless … gunshots [are] still being fired around us. We are under the seats praying to God while waiting for help.”
A Kaduna State government spokesman confirmed that fatalities were recorded and multiple people have been injured. The official did not state the exact number of casualties or wounded.

Trump said he also would like to know more about Hunter Biden’s relationship with Ukrainian oligarch Nikolai Zlochevsky, the owner of the Burisma Holdings gas company that hired the Biden scion in 2014 to its board and paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

The news media blared headlines last week when the ex-wife of Republican Missouri Senate candidate Eric Greitens filed an affidavit in their child custody case claiming he abused her and their children back in 2018 when they were still married.
ut those reports ignored critical evidence sitting in public court files, a danger in family custody cases often steeped in nuances and emotional twists and turns.
For instance, the public court file shows the ex-wife, Sheena Greitens, signed another affidavit in 2020 in Missouri declaring there were no “genuine issue as to any material fact” in the couple’s divorce and that sharing custody of their two children with Eric Greitens was “in the best interest of the minor children.”
In her earlier affidavit, Sheena Greitens, who filed for the divorce, suggested the divorce and custody were amicable.
Civilian Army leader led child porn ring, risked US security
During his time in the war zone, Frodsham told one woman that he hired her because he “wanted to be surrounded by pretty women,” and routinely called others “honey,” “babe,” and “cougar” before he was ordered home after the military verified multiple allegations of sexual harassment.
But when Frodsham returned to his home station in fall 2015, he rejoined the Network Enterprise Technology Command, the Army’s information technology service provider, where he had served as director of personnel for a global command of 15,000 soldiers and civilians, according to his Army resume.
By spring of the following year, he was arrested in Arizona for leading a child sex abuse ring that included an Army sergeant who was posting child pornography to the internet. Among the victims was one of Frodsham’s adopted sons.
The state permitted Frodsham and his wife, Barbara, to foster, adopt and retain custody of their many children despite nearly 20 complaints, and attempted complaints, of abuse, neglect, maltreatment and licensing violations. Meanwhile, the Army gave Frodsham security clearances and sensitive jobs at a time when his illicit sexual practices made him vulnerable to blackmail.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia announced Tuesday it will significantly scale back military operations near Ukraine’s capital and a northern city, as the outlines of a possible deal to end the grinding war came into view at the latest round of talks.
Ukraine’s delegation at the conference, held in Istanbul, laid out a framework under which the country would declare itself neutral and its security would be guaranteed by an array of other nations.
Moscow’s public reaction was positive, and the negotiations are expected to resume on Wednesday, five weeks into what has devolved into a bloody war of attrition, with thousands dead and almost 4 million Ukrainians fleeing the country.
Denmark Puts Coronavirus ‘Anti-Government Extremism’ on Terrorism List
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -Denmark’s domestic security on Tuesday designated pandemic-linked “antigovernmental extremism” as a menace for the first time ever.
The agency, known by its Danish acronym PET, said in its annual assessment that although this type of extremism is not “a significant driving force for the terrorist threat” in the country, it does make the situation “more complex.”
PET said the menace which expresses the need to use violence against elected representatives, had appeared in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gunman kills 5 in mass shooting spree in central Israel
While circumstances were not immediately clear, the shooting appeared to be the latest in a string of attacks by Arab assailants ahead of the volatile Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Israeli media said the attacker was a Palestinian from the West Bank.

Girls have been banned from going to school beyond the sixth grade, women are barred from boarding planes if they travel unaccompanied by a male relative. Men and women can only visit public parks on separate days and the use of mobile telephones in universities is prohibited.
It doesn’t stop there.
International media broadcasts — including the Pashto and Persian BBC services, which broadcast in the two languages of Afghanistan — are off the air as of the weekend. So are foreign drama series.
Taiwan: Russia’s Difficulties in Ukraine Are a ‘Warning’ to China Not to Invade

After delivering a national security report to a closed-door session of the Taiwanese legislature’s Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee, Chen told reporters that America’s Taiwan Relations Act (TRA) gives Beijing reason to believe the U.S. and its allies would “be much more involved” in protecting Taiwan from Chinese attack than they have been in protecting the borders of Ukraine.
Chen noted the TRA “grants legal authorization for the U.S. government to take action” if Taiwan is attacked.
“The current situation has given China much to think about, as the U.S. has given much support to Ukraine, even without a law similar to the TRA,” he said. “The conflict in Ukraine has served as a warning to Beijing not to start a war.”
Chen added a note of caution that China could use the war in Ukraine to advance its own geopolitical ambitions and strengthen its alliance with Russia.
China Seeks ‘Improved Anti-Epidemic Approach,’ Admitting Lockdowns Don’t Work
China has experienced nearly ceaseless struggles with combatting the Chinese coronavirus since the pandemic began in the country in late 2019.
Most recently, Chinese authorities locked down Xi’an, a city of 13 million people, in December, and admitted to uncontrolled outbreaks in 28 provinces this month.
The Times highlighted the cities of Shanghai and Shenzhen for taking measures “vastly different from the strict lockdown imposed at the early stage of the epidemic in Wuhan,” largely due to their importance in China’s and the global economy.
Shenzhen, a city on the border with Hong Kong where much of the world’s technology is manufactured, opted for “work-from-home” lockdowns that forced workers to live in factories to prevent production delays.
Virginia woman found guilty of murdering mother, sister then staging scene
Megan Hargan, 39, was sentenced to life in prison and convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of murder, according Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano.
Hargan was found to have staged the murder scene as a murder-suicide in order to steal money to pay for her new home. Pamela Hargan, 63, and Helen Hargan, 23, were found dead with gunshot wounds to the head in the shared family home.
Police initially stated Helen had killed Pamela prior to killing herself. However, after a 16-month-long investigation, police declared Megan had killed both women.
California police release images of fight that led to shooting to correct ‘misinformation’
“We will correct some misinformation that has been circulating and are releasing images of the fight and struggle over a handgun that occurred inside the La Victoria Restaurant and of the individual who was holding the handgun at the time he was shot by one of our Officers,” the San Jose Police Department said on Twitter.
Mercury News had reported Monday afternoon that police shot a man who had disarmed another man during a fight inside the restaurant.
The photos appear to show suspects struggling on the floor of the restaurant, as well as suspects throwing punches at one another. Police also posted a body camera still of a suspect appearing to hold a gun.
Florida man, 73, pummeled in Publix parking lot after verbal dispute, police say
A pewter-colored Ford F-250 sped by and came close to hitting the 73-year-old man, who yelled at the male driver, according to authorities. The vehicle slowed and the two men had a verbal exchange.
As the pickup truck started to drive away, police said the older man started to walk toward the exit where the vehicle was heading. The driver allegedly stopped, got out of the car and punched the victim.
When the 73-year-old man said he was going to call police, the suspect returned and “pummeled” the older man, authorities said. Surveillance video shows the victim fall the ground while the suspect repeatedly punches him.
Biden admin offering vaccines to illegal immigrants despite seeking billions in COVID-19 funding
The Biden administration continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines to illegal immigrants crossing over the southern border despite having urgently requested $22.5 billion for more vaccines and treatment.
The request was first lowered to $15.6 billion and then ultimately cut from a $1.5 trillion government spending bill, which provides $13.6 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
“We have made tremendous progress in our fight against COVID-19, but our work isn’t done,” Biden tweeted last week. “We need Congress to immediately provide $22.5 billion in emergency funding to sustain our nation’s COVID-19 response.”
Twitter, Facebook, Google have repeatedly censored conservatives despite liberal doubts
Speaking with Fox News Digital, Fox News contributor and “The Federalist” editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway said the notion that censorship hits both political parties equally simply because a few conservative outlets are allowed to exist on social media platforms is “gaslighting in the extreme.”
“You can not possibly have been alive in the last five years and think that social media companies do anything other than amplify left-wing insanity and crush anything from the right that hurts the left,” she added.
A pattern has emerged of right-leaning voices being censored far more often than those on the left.
In a recent example, Rep. Vicky Hartzler, a Republican Senate candidate from Missouri, was suspended from Twitter in February after tweeting about transgender women in sports.
