PICTURED: American lecturer, 67, is shot dead by Russian snipers as he waited in bread line in Chernihiv:

The American citizen killed in Ukraine yesterday has been named as Jimmy Hill, a 67-year-old from Idaho who had stayed in the warzone to look after his sick partner and was gunned down lining up to buy bread.
Hill’s family named him on Facebook on Thursday after Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the death of a US citizen at a press conference.
Hill was a lecturer in Kyiv but was in Chernihiv to care for Ira, the woman he was caring for who has multiple sclerosis.
He had been posting for weeks about spending nights in bomb shelters while rushing to seek treatment for Ira.
Before his death, a local affiliate in Idaho reported on how he had become stuck in Ukraine. He traveled there in December.
Victoria sets gender quotas on construction sites
Tradeswomen will now be required to make up at least 38 per cent of roles in government-based construction projects in Victoria.
The quota is part of a new policy initiative by the Andrews government and includes projects like the multibillion dollar North East Link.
But workers within the industry say those numbers are unrealistic – and are calling for an education system overhaul to encourage young women to pick up the tools.
There are currently 39,217 women in the construction industry but just 2.5 per cent are trade workers.
‘People are coming out alive’ – Survivors reported after airstrike on Mariupol theatre sheltering up to a thousand civilians

Prior to Wednesday’s attack, up to 1,000 men, women and children were thought to have taken shelter in the Drama Theatre’s basement seeking safety from the onslaught by President Vladimir Putin’s forces.
Earlier this week, a satellite image of the building showed the Russian word for “children” written in giant letters at both ends of the building, in an apparent bid to protect it from the shelling.
The shelter is believed to have stood firm and rescuers have been clearing rubble blocking the entrance to the basement, despite new strikes reported elsewhere in the city.
Mariupol has suffered the worst humanitarian catastrophe of the three-week war, with hundreds of thousands of civilians trapped in basements with no food, water or power.

The Real Threat is China – Simone Kerseboom on Chinese influence in the West
The Ukraine-Russia war continues to dominate the headlines, with the majority of Western leaders and institutions overcome by an obsessive focus on the threat posed by Putin’s Russia.
But we must not forget that the real threat lies much further East.
The Communist Party in China has been exerting its influence in Western institutions with the goal of conforming our way of thinking to China’s worldview. Simone Kerseboom gave a speech in parliament last month to bring awareness to the threat this poses to our way of life.

The victim sustained a minor wound and was treated at Harlem Hospital, the New York Daily News noted. He informed officers that he was not familiar with the assailant.
The suspect fled the scene and remains on the loose.
“He is described as light-skinned, in his 30s, about 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds and was wearing blue jacket and gray sweatpants,” according to the Daily News.
The incident comes as subway crimes have been making headlines in New York City. On March 9, 48-year-old Christian Jeffers, a biological male who identifies as a woman, was arrested for allegedly bashing an Asian man in the head with a hammer at the 14th Street station a day earlier,

Josh Hawley: Biden’s SCOTUS Pick Has ‘Pattern of Letting Child Porn Offenders off the Hook’

In a series of tweets detailing Judge Jackson’s rulings, interviews, articles, and speeches, Hawley called attention to the “alarming pattern when it comes to Judge Jackson’s treatment of sex offenders, especially those preying on children.”
“As far back as her time in law school, Judge Jackson has questioned making convicts register as sex offenders – saying it leads to ‘stigmatization and ostracism,’” Hawley tweeted. “She’s suggested public policy is driven by a ‘climate of fear, hatred & revenge’ against sex offenders.”
Hawley said the U.S. Sentencing Commission has refused to provide the committee with all of Jackson’s records from her time spent there. The Missouri Senator called Jackson’s record “disturbing,” and added, “sending child predators to jail shouldn’t be controversial.”
He also called out Jackson for wondering if there is a type of “less-serious child pornography offender.” Hawley shared a transcript where Jackson said:
15 Media Personalities Claimed Hunter’s Laptop Emails Were Likely Russian Propaganda Before New York Times Admitted

After nearly two years of dismissing Hunter’s tantalizing emails uncovered before the 2020 presidential election, the Times admitted the laptop was authentic, in direct contradiction of many in the Democrat-allied media.
The media personalities seemingly went out of their way to connect Russian dots of “disinformation” that did not exist for the purpose of supporting the Democrat nominee for president, Joe Biden, the father of Hunter and who now oversees the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter’s possible tax fraud and corrupt business dealings with foreign entities.
Those business dealings reportedly took place throughout the world and may have involved Joe Biden himself. Such was the media’s necessity to dub the emails “Russian disinformation” instead of asking journalistic questions like Emma Joe Morris, who now is Breitbart News’s political editor and author of the original “laptop from hell” story from the New York Post.

Report: Citigroup Will Cover Employees’ Travel Costs to Obtain Abortions

The bank said in a public filing ahead of its annual shareholders’ meeting in April that the new policy will be “in response to changes in reproductive healthcare laws in certain states in the US.” The filing did not specifically mention abortion and charged that the travel benefits will “facilitate access to adequate resources.”
“The policy will cover expenses, such as airfare and lodging, that employees in places including Texas may incur if they’re forced to travel to receive an abortion, according to a person with knowledge of the matter,” noted Bloomberg.
Citigroup has used its corporate muscles to enact left-wing agendas since 2018 when the company implemented a policy requiring clients to meet a bevy of gun control regulations.
