World: Ukraine war: Elderly civilian couple blown up by Russian tank

Shocking video shows the moment an elderly civilian Ukrainian couple were blown up in their car by a Russian ‘special peacekeeping’ tank in a completely unprovoked attack that lays bare the brutality of Vladimir Putin’s lawless invasion.
In a 54 second clip shared widely on Twitter, a car moves into the frame before coming to a halt as a Kremlin tank fires twice on the vehicle. Separate footage shows butchered remains of a couple inside a car, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination.
NATO has claimed that Moscow could be deliberately targeting civilians trying to flee Ukraine as Putin increasingly wages a ‘war of terror’ as his campaign gets bogged down in what mortified Kremlin insiders have allegedly branded a ‘clusterf**k’.
Speaking in Latvia, Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said there are ‘credible’ reports of ‘war crimes’ being committed in Ukraine, following reports Moscow shelled ‘humanitarian corridors’ out of Mariupol and Sumy as civilians try to escape Putin’s bombs.
World: September 11 Accomplice Leaves Guantanamo Bay: Sent Home to Saudi Arabia

Dubbed the “20th hijacker” from September 11, al-Qahtani was transferred out of Guantanamo Bay this week after a review board determined last year that he did not present a current national security threat.
“The United States appreciates the willingness of Saudi Arabia and other partners to support ongoing U.S. efforts toward a deliberate and thorough process focused on responsibly reducing the detainee population and ultimately closing of the Guantanamo Bay facility,” the Defense Department said in a statement.
Declassified court documents from 2016 show that al-Qahtani had been accused of working with al Qaeda in lead up to the 9/11 attack and would have been the “20th hijacker” had he not been denied entry into the United States after immigration officers “found the circumstances of his travel and his conduct to be suspicious,” according to the documents. Per CBS News:

US: San Francisco officer found not guilty of assault after DA’s office accused of withholding evidence

The verdict comes more than a month after an investigator for the DA’s office, Megan Hayashi, testified on Jan. 28 that she felt she would be fired if she did not withhold certain evidence in the case against Stangel, NBC Bay Area reported at the time.
A second witness described similar details in a statement, including in Pifari’s motion.
Boudin prematurely labeled one of the witnesses as a “racially-biased Karen,” according to FOX 2 San Francisco.
“The citizens of San Francisco should be asking themselves why Chesa Boudin would come out of the starting gate [labeling] the two African American women who called 911 as ‘Karen Callers,’” Pifari said in her statement. “… If Chesa Boudin is willing to break and bend the law as many times as his office did in this case, everyone should be afraid.”

He continued, “And then you look at, you know, other parts of Clinton world, you look at, you know, her long-time campaign manager John Podesta. He sat on the board of a small energy company called … Joule Energy that took $35 million from a Russian investment fund called Rusnano.
US: City Threatens Single Mom’s Day Care After Golfer Complaints
Women have traditionally used their homes to care for their neighbors’ children. Now during the national shortage of childcare, neighborhood day cares are more important than ever.
But in West Austin, some neighborhood golfers are trying to shut down a home day care by exploiting the fact that Lakeway, Texas, has some of the most restrictive zoning laws in the country for home businesses.
US: Biden announces ban on US imports of Russian oil, warns gas prices will ‘go up further’

Biden, though, warned Americans that the ban would cost American families. Americans are experiencing the highest gas prices since the 2008 financial crisis, with the national gas price average reaching more than $4 per gallon – the highest average to date, according to AAA.
The president, speaking from the White House on Tuesday, said the ban has “strong bipartisan support in Congress and, I believe, the country.”
But not all of Europe will be on board with a similar ban because they lack domestic oil production, Biden said.

US, Immigration: Sacramento Church Shooter in U.S. Illegally, Barred from Gun Possession

Mora was out on bail at the time he opened fire in the church. He had been arrested five days prior “on charges of resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and driving under the influence.”
The New York Post reports that Mora “was arrested on Feb. 23 for driving under the influence, assaulting an officer and medical staff.”
According to the Post: “ICE issued a detainer — a request that the suspect be held until the agency can transfer him into custody and put him into deportation proceedings. However, due to California’s ‘sanctuary state’ law, authorities say they were barred from holding him or communicating with ICE about his release and he left on bail on a $15,000 bond.”
US, Immigration: Joe Biden to Continue Resettling Afghans in U.S. Despite Vetting Failure

A State Department official told Bloomberg News that Biden is looking to bring thousands more Afghans to the U.S. for resettlement over the next six months. Currently, there are some 100,000 Afghans who have sought entry to the U.S. but who remain in Afghanistan.
The administration is setting up a new resettlement site in northern Virginia where about 2,000 Afghans a month will be bused from Dulles International Airport after arriving primarily from bases in Qatar.
To date, Biden has resettled 85,000 Afghans in American communities across 46 states since mid-August 2021. That resettlement failed to properly vet Afghans against counter-terrorism databases, the Department of Defense’s Inspector General revealed last month.
US, Immigration: Russians, Ukrainians Increasingly Using Southern Border to Get into U.S.

As Republican and Democrat lawmakers focus their attention on the borders of Ukraine amidst Russia’s invasion, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data reveals that a growing number of Russians and Ukrainians are using the southern border to get released into the U.S. interior.
Last week, Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) said during congressional testimony that he witnessed a number of Russian and Ukrainian border crossers arriving via car at the San Ysidro, California Port of Entry (POE) when he visited the region in February.
In one instance, Correa said Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials noted that 20 vehicles had recently been pulled over by Border Patrol at the POE — all packed with Russian and Ukrainian nationals.

According to Grovetown Department of Public Safety Sgt. Matt Williamson, Melara explained his actions by telling police through an interpreter that Hondurans are “touchy and friendly.”
“He said he had the best intentions when he did it,” Williamson told local media.
Police allege that Melara repeatedly molested the girl roughly five times a day, and police are now looking into a potential second victim in another country. The victim’s mother said Melara conducted the abuse every time she was not around in the residence.
US, Immigration: Federal Judge Orders Joe Biden to Stop Mass Release of Illegal Migrant Children at Border

Judge Mark Pittman’s order prevents Biden from exempting minor migrants from Title 42. Title 42 is an immigration policy implemented by former President Donald Trump that allows U.S. immigration officials to expel immediately migrants who come to the southern border. Title 42 was implemented in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since the policy’s start in March 2020, the federal government has expelled more than 1.6 million migrants.
A record number of more than 122,000 unaccompanied minors arrived at the southern border during the fiscal year 2021.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the decision is a “win for Texas & children—loss for Biden & cartels!”

US: Politics: Freezing Bank Accounts Violates Freedom
If the government doesn’t like your speech, or your business, you may face financial tyranny.
Truckers protesting Canada’s COVID vaccine rules had their bank accounts frozen.
“You do have to have a bank account, really, to be able to live,” says law professor Todd Zywicki.
Freezing accounts ended the protests quickly. “It’s a very big threat to a free society,” says Zywicki. “We need to tolerate people saying things we don’t like.”
But politicians often don’t. If they can silence protest by grabbing your money, they will.

US, Politics, Commentary: Tucker: We are at war with Russia
Tony Blinken, went on to the Sunday show over at CBS News to announce new policy toward Russia. Going forward, Blinken explained, the Biden administration will use Poland as a cutout to send fighter jets to the government of Ukraine.
Those jets will be used to fight the Russian military. Blinken announced this in a calm, even tone that suggested this was conventional procedure, business as usual, nothing to worry about, just another weekend at the State Department.
But in fact, it’s not typical. It’s a very big step. It could turn out to be a pivot point in history and for that reason, we want you to know entire exchange.
