US: Man smears poop on woman in NYC subway station in sickening video
A man smeared human feces on a woman’s face in an unprovoked rush-hour attack inside a Bronx subway station, sickening new video shows.
The 43-year-old victim was sitting on a bench on the southbound platform of the Wakefield–241st Street station around 5:15 p.m. Feb. 21 when a man began walking toward her, holding a black plastic bag, according to cops and the clip released late Sunday.
Then, without saying a word, he smashed the vile contents of the bag in her face, and then smeared it on the back of her head, the footage shows.
The assailant took off after the attack, and cops were still looking for him Monday morning.

A Minneapolis middle school’s student paper is under fire after it advised kids how to participate in Black Lives Matter protests — and specified certain rules for white pupils to follow.
The article stated, “Wear nondescript clothing. Even if you aren’t breaking the law, law enforcement may still try to come after you, in these situations it’s better to be paranoid than careless.”
“When it comes to Black Lives Matter protests, if you’re not black, remember that you’re there to show your support and amplify black voices,” the article continued. “ESPECIALLY if you’re white, if they’re offering the megaphone for anyone to speak, it’s not for you. You are here to listen and to show support.”
Covid: mRNA shots raise the risk of Covid infection in children under 12
Six weeks after becoming “fully vaccinated,” kids under 12 are 40 percent MORE likely to be infected Covid than those who never received mRNA shots, a huge New York state database shows.
The mRNA jabs provide some protection for the first two weeks of “full vaccination.” But it declines rapidly, turns negative by the fifth week, and more sharply negative in the sixth.
“Negative” vaccine efficacy means that vaccinated people are more likely to become infected. It is not clear how high the increased risk may become for young children, since the database only covered six weeks and the trend worsened each week.
Although many other studies have shown the vaccines are largely useless against Omicron infection in adults after four months, this database makes clear they are even more useless even more quickly for children.

Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia on the Belarus border have ended and officials will return to their capitals for further consultations before resuming a second round of discussions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had hoped the talks would establish a ceasefire and appealed to the European Union to allow Ukraine to gain membership.

The two men keep taunting Sisolak and making references to hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial drug that some conservatives believe is a cure for COVID-19, and China.

The boys, whose names have not been released to the public, were found dead in their beds a few days after they were vaccinated.
Neither boy had a history of medical problems and only one of the two boys complained of any symptoms, namely headache and stomach ache, in the days preceding death. Notably, signs of cardiac distress were absent for both boys before they died.
The Connecticut and Michigan medical examiners, who authored the study detailing autopsy findings, identified signs of an unusual type of myocarditis with hyper-eosinophilic myocytes in “these post-vaccine hearts,” which occurs in the presence of excessive inflammation.

The outlet slammed Biden’s state of the union as weak, hinting he should not declare, “The state of our union is strong,” in Tuesday’s speech.
“It’s a state of exhaustion from the pandemic,” the outlet stated. “It’s about feeling gouged at the grocery store and gas pump. It’s so low that some Americans, including prominent ones, are exalting Russian President Vladimir Putin in his attack on a democracy,” the article said, and drew comparisons with Jimmy Carter’s time in office, when Carter said the nation was in the midst of a ‘crisis of confidence.’
US: Supreme Court Weighing Challenge to EPA’s Climate Change Powers
The Supreme Court Monday will be hearing oral arguments in a case challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s power to fight greenhouse gas emissions from the nation’s power plants.
The case of West Virginia v. EPA pits attorneys general from West Virginia and other GOP-led states against power utilities, public health groups, and the Biden administration, reports ABC News.
Its outcome may determine if the United States will be able to meet the government’s goal of a complete shift to the use of clean energy sources by 2035, as well as a call to cut carbon pollution by 50% within the next eight years.

In just the last 48 hours dozens of stories, images, narratives and videos have circulated as being taken from the fighting in Ukraine, a huge percentage of which are fake.
Now, some of it could be attributed to misunderstandings, mistaken identity, misattribution…but many and most are likely deliberate deceptions designed to provoke a response. Let’s dive right in.
1. “THE GHOST OF KIEV”

Ukraine has said the key issue for the talks is an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops. Russia has signaled it wants to discuss Ukraine adopting “neutral status.”
The Kremlin has signaled it wants to hold talks where Zelenskyy will discuss “neutral status” for Ukraine, in effect hoping to negotiate Kyiv’s terms of surrender. But Zelenskyy’s administration has said while it wants talks to end the killing in Ukraine, it will not make concessions.
“We will not surrender, we will not capitulate, we will not give up a single inch of our territory,” Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, said at a press conference.
Commentary: War Propaganda About Ukraine Becoming More Militaristic, Authoritarian, and Reckless
When critical faculties are deliberately turned off based on a belief that absolute moral certainty has been attained, the parts of our brain armed with the capacity of reason are disabled. That is why the leading anti-Russia hawks such as former Obama Ambassador Michael McFaul and others are demanding that no “Putin propagandists” (meaning anyone who diverges from his views of the conflict) even be permitted a platform, and why many are angry that Facebook has not gone far enough by banning many Russian media outlets from advertising or being monetized.
The purpose of these points, and indeed of this article, is not to persuade anyone that they have formed moral, geopolitical and strategic views about Russia and Ukraine that are inaccurate.
It is, instead, to highlight what a radically closed and homogenized information system most Americans are consuming. No matter how convinced one is of the righteousness of one’s views on any topic, there should still be a wariness about how easily that righteousness can be exploited to ensure that no dissent is considered or even heard, an awareness of how often such overwhelming societal consensus is manipulated to lead one to believe untrue claims and embrace horribly misguided responses.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA —Richard Blum, a longtime member of the University of California Board of Regents and husband of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, died Sunday evening after a long battle with cancer. He was 86.
Blum died at the family home, Feinstein announced Monday morning.

World: UkrainianTroops Knock Out Russian Tigr-M Convoy In Kharkiv
Ukrainian troops successfully ambushed a Russian column of Tigr-M armored trucks in north east Kharkiv on Feb. 27, 2022.
At least four of the Russian vehicles were immobilized and abandoned in the attack. Based on the fighting shown in the footage, the surviving Russian troops dismounted and took up positions in a nearby building.
The video doesn’t show any bodies, blood, or clear indication of troop casualties from either side. Online reports suggest this incident was part of an attempted Russian assault to take the city, but the advance was thwarted by the defending Ukrainians.

“Dear citizens. we call on you to stop this madness,” the message began. “don’t send your sons and husbands to sure death. Putin is making us lie and puts us in danger. We have been isolated from the world, no one is buying our oil & gas. In a few year’s time we’ll be living like in North Korea. Why do we need this? For Putin to make it to history books? This is not our war, let’s stop it!”
It continued, “This message will be deleted and some of us will be fired and maybe put to jail. But we can’t tolerate this anymore. Russian journalists who care. Anonymous.”
The message comes several days after Anonymous, an international hacking collective that has carried out cyberattacks against governments and corporations, appeared to declare war against Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

While Germany has increased its defence spending over recent years, it has consistently failed to reach the NATO threshold, spending just 1.53 per cent on defence last year, according to NATO figures.
Germany has long been criticised for its failure to meet its NATO obligations while at the same time shipping billions to Russia in exchange for natural gas.

The President also commented that because of a reliance on Russian gas, Germany had become “captive” to Putin’s regime. After years of controversy, the German government finally decided to block the opening of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline last week.
