Mother of Murdered Patriot Ashli Babbitt Demands Accountability for Capitol Police on One-Year Anniversary of Jan. 6

Micki Wittehoeft, Babbitt’s mother, appeared alongside Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to give heartfelt words about her daughter and champion her legacy.
“She served this country her whole adult life. She loved God, loved America, loved her family, and came to D.C. to hear Donald Trump speak about a stolen election,” Wittehoeft said, adding that Babbitt was “murdered by a careless, wreckless Capitol police officer, Michael Byrd, who should have been fired two years ago for leaving his loaded weapon in a public restroom.”
She added that reforms need to come to the Capitol police, who “operate with impunity” and are “not subject to FOIA” or “subject to transparency.”
“They are another arm of Congress, and they don’t answer to an external review like every other police department in this country,” Wittehoeft said.
PayPal, Venmo, and more must report some $600+ payments to IRS

The new rule was part of the American Rescue Plan passed by Democrats without a single GOP vote and signed by President Joe Biden in March 2021. It impacts all payments apps, including Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, Google Pay, and others.
“This new Threshold Change is currently only for payments received for goods and services transactions, so this doesn’t include things like paying your family or friends back using PayPal or Venmo for dinner, gifts, shared trips, etc,” PayPal continued.
The third-party payment company also noted that amounts from “selling personal items at a loss” do not need to be reported.

Trump responds to Biden attacks in Jan. 6 speech – here’s what he said

“Biden, who is destroying our Nation with insane policies of open Borders, corrupt Elections, disastrous energy policies, unconstitutional mandates, and devastating school closures, used my name today to try to further divide America,” Trump wrote in an email to American Military News.
“This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed.”
“Our Country no longer has Borders, has totally and completely lost control of Covid (record numbers!), is no longer Energy Independent, Inflation is rampant, our Military is in chaos, and our exit, or surrender, from Afghanistan was perhaps the most embarrassing day in the long and distinguished history of the United States—and so much more,” he added.
Trump then turned his focus to the Jan. 6 Committee “of totally partisan political hacks” and accused the group of making their judgement on Jan. 6 storming “long ago.”

South Carolina police: Woman, 63, bites paramedic’s groin, grabs deputy’s taser during wild arrest

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office has charged Gina Darlene McGehee, 63, with several charges including third-degree assault and battery, unlawful conduct towards a child, and assaulting a police officer while resisting arrest, WCSC-TV reported.
Investigators said the incident occurred last month when McGehee left a family member at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston after she claimed that person had taken a phone and used it to look up inappropriate images.
According to WCSC, on the morning of Dec. 28, sheriff’s deputies responded after a person was left at the center by his legal guardian, later identified as McGehee. When deputies called McGehee and told her she needed to come back to the center and resolve the issue, she told them, “I’m not going back there, he’s your problem now.”

Glenn responds to The New York Times’ Jan. 6 FALSEHOODS
When a statement is taken out of context SO blatantly to serve a narrative, it becomes a lie. And that’s exactly what the New York Times did in its recent article, ‘Election Falsehoods Surged on Podcasts Before Capitol Riots, Researchers Find.’
The piece takes a direct hit against Glenn, but in this clip, Glenn proves how far the Times had to manipulate the truth to serve its political, far-left agenda.
It’s LIBEL, Glenn says, and you can no longer trust the New York Times.

Senate Democrats allowed convicted murderers — like the Boston bomber — to receive stimulus checks

Democratic lawmakers in the Senate blocked a Republican amendment to the American Rescue Plan of 2021 that would have barred convicted murderers such as Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev from receiving stimulus money from the federal government.
Last March, before the rescue plan was passed, Republican Sen. Tom Cotton (Ark.) warned that murderers like Tsarnaev would be unjustly awarded taxpayer money as a result of the bill, Fox News reported.
Fox News noted that Cotton, along with fellow Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Ted Cruz (Texas), offered an amendment to prevent payments from being sent to prisoners, but it was rejected on a party-line vote.
Cotton’s and Cassidy’s opposition could be considered disingenuous, however, since both lawmakers previously voted in favor of issuing two stimulus checks — totaling $1,200 and $600, respectively — to Americans without excluding prisoners. Cruz, on the other hand, voted against both bills.

Earlier, some witnesses reported an explosion and gunfire near the square.
