Deputy Shot to Death in Illinois; Gunman at Large
MILL SHOALS, Ill.—Authorities in two states are searching for a gunman who killed an eastern Illinois deputy early Wednesday and is suspected in a carjacking in neighboring Missouri a couple of hours later.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that Deputy Sean Riley responded to a motorist assist call on Interstate 64 near Mill Shoals around 5 a.m. Wednesday. A second officer who arrived at the scene found Riley dead. The deputy’s squad car was later found abandoned on I-64.
The search for the suspect extended to St. Peters, Missouri, where police believe a man involved in a shooting and carjacking shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday at a QuikTrip convenience store was the same person who killed the deputy.
St. Peters police spokeswoman Melissa Doss said in an email that “there was evidence at the QuikTrip scene which indicates the suspect was also involved in the series of crimes which occurred in Illinois earlier this morning.” She declined to elaborate, citing the ongoing investigation.

Fairfax County police seized devices from his residence.
The news broke to Twitter via Jack Posobiec of Human Events, along with Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe, who first reported the revelations.

Man charged with capital murder, teen released in Texas gas station triple murder case
Richard Acosta Jr. turned himself in Monday night at the Garland Police Department, according to a news release. He was charged with “capital murder – multiple persons” and his bond was set at $1 million.
Acosta was allegedly the driver of a white truck seen on surveillance video outside the Texaco gas station on Walnut Lane Sunday evening. Video reportedly shows him entering the gas station shortly before the deadly shooting.
The video also shows someone else get out of the truck before creeping up to the front door of the convenience store and opening fire, FOX 4 News reports. Three teenagers were killed and a fourth was wounded in the shooting.
San Francisco father of murdered 6-year-old says DA’s policies led to ‘no accountability’
Deshaune Lumpkin, one of four suspects in the killing of Jace Young, was recently found guilty of murder and is facing a maximum sentence of eight years in prison. Young’s family criticized the decision to try Lumpkin, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, as a juvenile and said he’s not being held accountable.
Critics have argued that Boudin, who is facing a recall, has not been aggressive enough in prosecuting crime, making San Francisco less safe. The self-proclaimed progressive ran on reform promises and recently criticized liberal San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s enhanced funding for law enforcement in parts of the city.
“The police are doing their due diligence to try to solve these crimes and hold people accountable for these crimes,” Jason Young told Fox News. “The district attorney’s office is not willing to prosecute and hold these criminals accountable.”

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace pushed three debunked claims about President Donald Trump in one single 13-minute segment of her show on Tuesday.
Wallace managed to repeat two of those discredited lies in under one minute during “Deadline: White House” on MSNBC.
Wallace, who continuously accuses Fox News of promoting “misinformation,” also promoted a well-known falsehood about Trump that was directly contradicted by video footage she had just shown.
The first phony claim Wallace promoted was regarding Trump’s appearance at Lafayette Square amind the violent Black Lives Matter riots in Washington D.C. last year.
Political class is a ‘machine that’s just devouring the city,’ economist says of NYC’s COVID-19 mandates
Since the beginning of the pandemic, New York City took dramatic action to curb the spread of COVID-19. In March 2020, then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered all nonessential businesses to close statewide and had shut down schools. More recently, Mayor Bill de Blasio imposed the first-ever vaccine mandate on all private-sector workers in the city.
“Freedom is what made New York great, and now people just make fun of that,” Brownstone Institute President Jeffrey Tucker, referring to public figures who have dismissed or mocked those who opposed vaccine mandates for reasons of personal freedom, told Fox News.
Tucker, who’s been to New York countless times, was in the city on March 12, 2020, when initial panic of the novel coronavirus struck.
But more recently, Tucker traveled to New York in early December and was dismayed.
“Being back now since the mandates, it’s a complete shock what’s happened to the city,” he said, noting his initial surprise when he was asked show proof of vaccination at a bar.
Border Patrol agents in Del Rio nab multiple child sex offenders in a week
Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector have apprehended multiple child sex offenders attempting to enter the United States illegally in the space of a week, as front-line agents continue to deal with high numbers of migrants coming across the border.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced last week that agents on Dec. 21 had arrested two convicted sex offenders in a single day.
One of the men, from a Honduran national, had been convicted of sexual assault of a child in 2018 and sentenced to four years in prison, and was ultimately deported in 2020.
On the same day, agents picked up a Mexican national with a previous conviction for lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under 14. That conviction took place in 1999, he was sentenced to six years and had most recently been deported in 2019.

Convicted human trafficker posed as special-needs child and hired women to treat him like a baby, change his diapers, police say
Deas, who was reportedly out on probation after pleading guilty to human trafficking and sexual battery charges in 2019, apparently posed as a younger man with special needs online while attempting to recruit babysitters to treat him like a child.
He allegedly told potential recruits that he was engaged in “alternative therapy’” and offered to pay them to change his diapers. Police said it was the same type of behavior that he had engaged in two years ago.
Police launched a second investigation into Deas last week after obtaining a text message that he had sent that “exhibited similar behaviors.” Investigators said that Deas attempted to use his previous victim to recruit other babysitters.
Tennessee mom chases off naked sex offender with sticks after he breaks into home, puts on daughter’s shoes
he told her daughter to call 911 while she chased the suspect out of the apartment.
Officers soon arrived and found 27-year-old Michael Tyler Henegar in the woods near Crowley’s home, WVLT reported.
Police found Crowley’s grandchild’s toothbrush, toothpaste, and an impact drill with Henegar. He was arrested and charged for aggravated burglary.
Henegar was wanted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at the time of his arrest for violating the sex offender registry and for failure to appear in violation of the sex offender registry.
Suspect arrested after body found in suitcase in Memphis
Officers located 63-year-old Bruce Jefferies in a suitcase in an alley behind a Regions Bank parking lot. Jefferies died from blunt force trauma to the head.
According to an affidavit, a witness told police that he saw a man dragging the same suitcase through the alley at around 10 a.m. A video supports the witness’s claim.
The witness said the suspect attempted to throw the suitcase in a dumpster, but it was apparently too heavy.
When the suspect saw that he was being watched, he dropped the suitcase and ran northbound through the alley toward Union Avenue.The affidavit said the suitcase had a blood trail that led to the Broad Moore Apartment complex on Cleveland.
Video shows cops kick mom and child from NYC restaurant over vaccine mandate
“Unless you have vaccination cards, you have to exit the restaurant,” an officer could be heard saying in the video.
The child appears upset and covers his face as the officers attempt to defuse the situation.
Others in the restaurant heckle the NYPD officers as they ask the group to leave.
“Scaring a child. Traumatizing a child. Hope you feel good about yourself, NYPD,” one protester yells.
An officer then addresses the entire group of protesters.
“If you leave voluntarily, you will not have charges pressed against you. Otherwise, you will be arrested for trespass. This will be your only warning,” he says in the video.
Florida surgeon general says Biden admin is ‘actively preventing’ distribution of monoclonal antibody treatment amid Omicron surge
In a letter addressed to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Ladapo said the federal government’s abrupt pause of monoclonal antibody treatment distribution is causing “another immediate and life-threatening shortage of treatment options to the State of Florida.”
“The sudden suspension of multiple monoclonal antibody therapy treatments from distribution to Florida removes a health care provider’s ability to decide the best treatment options for their patients in this state,” Ladapo wrote.
Texas announced Tuesday that its infusion centers have exhausted the state’s supply. The statement noted “the federal government controls the distribution of monoclonal antibodies.”
Texas public health officials said that new oral antiviral drugs authorized by the FDA may be an alternative treatment, but noted the initial distribution of such drugs will be limited and that “the federal government will also control their distribution.”

Fox News has also reported on the American Medical Association’s (AMA) endorsement of critical race theory and using the type of theoretical buzzwords that have emerged in institutions across the country.
“In important ways, I hardly recognize my profession,” wrote Satel, who also works at the right-leaning American Enterprise Institute.
“Last year, the Association of American Medical Colleges … informed medical schools that they ‘must employ anti-racist and unconscious bias training and engage in interracial dialogues.’”
Marines say they’re being ‘crushed’ over vaccine refusal: ‘A political purge’
Marines are allowed to apply for a religious exemption, but so far not a single application regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, or any vaccine for that matter, has been approved, a Marine Corps spokesman told Fox News.
Several Marines who refuse to get the shot were granted anonymity by Fox News Digital, so they could speak freely. They said they are witnessing a “political purge” by the Biden administration that is forcing out the military’s “best and brightest” over deeply held beliefs they say are protected by the First Amendment.
“There’s something fundamentally wrong at this point with our nation’s leadership,” said a major with more than 17 years of active service.
“We are facing an unconstitutional edict that I think is very targeted as a political purge, taking out some of the best and brightest soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and guardians from the Space Force.”

Nine Bosnian Serbs Charged With Wartime Murder Of Almost 100 Muslims
A statement from the Prosecutor’s Office on December 29 said the nine, former members and commanders of the Bosnian Serb wartime army, were allegedly involved the 1992 killings of dozens of women, seniors, and children between the ages of 2 years old to 15 years old in the Serb-dominated Nevesinje area in southeastern Bosnia.
“The remains of 49 people have been found, while the remains of 47 victims are still being searched for,” the statement said, noting the accused were arrested on December 16.
It added that seven families were among those killed in the violence.
The announcement comes amid a series of arrests for war crimes by the Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia-Herzegovina (SIPA).

13 Happenings In 2021 That I Never Would Have Believed 5 Years Ago
The world seemed to get closer to spinning out of its orbit in 2021. If you’d told me five years ago that men would be treated as women, criminals would not be prosecuted, and censorship would be widespread, I wouldn’t have believed you.
What were once considered the most basic, scientific truths (such as that you’re born with your sex and can’t change it) have broken down. Governments are no longer serving their primary function of providing security and protecting borders.
There are many more. As I reflected on the past year, here are just some of the many things that happened in 2021 that I never would have believed possible if someone had foretold them to me just five years ago.
