Gang member, 25, kills Columbia University PhD student, 30, near Manhattan campus, stabs tourist, 27, 15 minutes later and is then arrested in Central Park trying to rob third man: NYC homicides soar 42% in two years

A Columbia University doctoral student was knifed to death Thursday night near the Ivy League college’s historic Manhattan campus – one of three people attacked by an ‘ecstatic’ gang member on a violent stabbing spree.
Davide Giri, 30, a PhD candidate in computer science, died around 11pm after being stabbed in the stomach by a 25-year-old member of the Bloods gang off-shoot, Everybody Killas, who has 16 prior arrests dating back to 2012 and was out on parole for a 2015 gang assault, police said.
Officers arrested the suspect – Vincent Pinkney, of Manhattan- in Central Park 20 minutes later, after he had already stabbed an Italian tourist, Robert Malastina, 27, outside the park, howling with glee, and moved on to ‘menacing’ another man, 29, with a large kitchen knife as the victim strolled the park with his girlfriend.
The fatal stabbing of Giri took place just a block away from where Bernard College student Tessa Majors, 18, was viciously stabbed to death in December 2019 as violent crimes continue to rise in New York City.
Bags of Cash and Checks Found in the Walls of Joel Osteen’s Megachurch

A Houston radio station broke some stunning news on Friday morning when a plumber called in to report that while doing some bathroom repair at Joel Osteen’s megachurch, Lakewood Church, he found around 500 envelopes stuffed with cash and checks in the wall behind the toilet.
Lakewood Church verified his story and said they called the Houston Police Department immediately upon the discovery. Interestingly enough, the police have been investigating a reported theft from the church in the amount of $600,000 since 2014.
CBS local in Houston reported, “The Houston Police Department is still investigating that seven-year-old case involving the disappearance 600-thousand dollars. It’s unclear how much money the plumber discovered-but the case raises a lot of questions.”
It sure does, like why would a thief steal money from a church and then hide it in the church? Twitter is taking the opportunity to share theories on what happened here.
California ‘smash-and-grab’ looting suspects back on the street thanks to ‘zero-bail’ policy

During a press conference Thursday, Chief Michel Moore told reporters, “All the suspects taken into custody are out of custody, either as a result of one juvenile, or the others as a result of bailing out or zero-bail criteria,” according to Fox News.
Moore added that the 14 suspects had been arrested in connection with 11 separate robberies that took place over a ten-day period late last month, from November 18 to 28.
In total, the crimes are believed to have cost the targeted businesses $338,000 in total stolen merchandise and more than $40,000 in total property damage.
In response to the news, Los Angeles County’s liberal district attorney, George Gascón — a supporter of zero cash bail — promised that “smash-and-grab” suspects would be held accountable for their crimes.
Be On the Lookout alert issued for James and Jennifer Crumbley, parents of accused Oxford High School shooter

FOX 2’s Jessica Dupnack confirmed through two police departments that a statewide BOLO was issued for the Crumbleys Friday afternoon, just hours after they were charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the Oxford High School shootings.
According to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, on Thursday night, they were in the early stages of the investigation and there was no certainty that they would face charges so the Crumbleys were not under surveillance. Bouchard said when it looked like charges would be issued, investigators began the surveillance process.
The Crumbleys were supposed to turn themselves in with their attorney on Friday but they stopped communicating and cooperating with their attorney and are now on the run.
The FBI and US Marshals are assisting with the search.
Chicago Public Schools abolish sex-specific restrooms to usher in gender-neutral bathrooms to ‘increase gender equity’

The Chicago Public Schools system launched an initiative to abolish sex-specific bathrooms and transform them into restrooms where “all who feel comfortable are welcome to use this restroom” regardless of their gender.
CPS Title IX officer Camie Pratt introduced the sweeping new changes in a video posted on social media.
“On top of ensuring that each of our schools is a safe learning environment, we’re also taking steps to create more inclusive and supportive schools,” Pratt says in the video. “One change that will be implemented this school year relates to our school bathrooms.”
Super-creepy humanoid robot makes those infamous robot dogs look like Pound Puppies

For a couple of years now, folks have given the side-eye to the robotic dog that can surveil, get around obstacles, and carry a sniper rifle.
But that fake K-9 is nothing compared to what Engineered Arts has put out.
Despite the warnings the world received in “I,Robot” and the “Terminator” movies, the British tech company has decided to give the world Ameca, which the company calls “The Future Face of Robotics.”
And it’s even more freaky-deaky than you think.
George Soros has bankrolled DA’s in cities with HIGHEST crime rates

Soros, the most prolific Democratic donor, is most known for giving to Presidents Clinton and Obama but he has also been pumping money into a far-left effort to overhaul the criminal justice system by giving millions to a network of woke prosecutors in Democratic races.
Among them is Kim Foxx, the State’s Attorney for Cook County, Chicago, where murder is at its highest in nearly 30 years.
He has also donated to PACs that support Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, who is being widely condemned for not cracking down on shoplifters and violent criminals.
Soros has also donated to the campaign of Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.
Soros also donated to Super PACS that prop up Democratic prosecutors and politicians across Republican states.

Leftists Fail in Virginia Recount: Republican State House Majority Affirmed, GOP Officially Taking Power

“Today’s result is just another confirmation that the people of Virginia last month rejected the far-left’s failed policies and voted for an optimistic future that empowers parents, brings safety to our streets, lowers costs, and supports small businesses,” Republican State Leadership Committee President Dee Duncan said of Greenhalgh’s win.
The second recount is in Hampton, Virginia, where incumbent Democrat Del. Martha M. Mugler has a 94-vote deficit to Republican A.C. Cordoza. That race will be called Wednesday by another panel of judges.
If Cordoza maintains his lead over Mugler, Republicans will have a 52-48 majority in Richmond heading into 2022.
Rep. Chip Roy is FIRED UP about WEAK Republicans refusing to stand
Americans expect the Republican Party to defend our freedoms by taking Democrats in Congress head on due to their support for our overreaching executive branch.
Yet 22 members of the GOP just voted to pass a continuing resolution that ‘funds tyranny’ in several ways, Representative Chip Roy tells Glenn. But not all our elected leaders in Washington are weak.
In fact, Rep. Roy pledges to ‘force these guys in my party to deal with the fact that it is our JOB to restrict the authority of a tyrannical executive branch.’ He explains how YOU can help him.
Biden CBP nominee Chris Magnus deletes Twitter account ahead of confirmation vote

The Arizona police chief faced tough questioning from Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee in October.
Despite his acknowledgment that the U.S. immigration system is “one of the most serious problems we face right now in our nation,” he raised eyebrows among some GOP senators when he refused to classify the issue as a “crisis.”
But Magnus faced new pressure this week after one of his officers used deadly force when dealing with an alleged armed shoplifter.
Officer Ryan Remington was fired earlier this week after he fatally shot a 61-year-old man in a mobility scooter who was accused of stealing a toolbox from a Tucson Walmart.
Biden Nominee To Thwart Foreign Hacking Scored Sweetheart Deal for UAE Hacker

A lifelong Republican, Wainstein last year broke with his party to endorse Joe Biden for president, calling Donald Trump “a threat to the rule of law.”
Wainstein’s financial disclosure shows he represented other controversial clients, including Purdue Pharma, the company that has been sued for fueling the opioid epidemic.
Wainstein also represented Naeem Tyab, a Canadian energy executive indicted for bribing Chadian officials. Wainstein served as legal counsel for former CIA director John Brennan, former director of national intelligence James Clapper, and other government officials, according to his financial disclosure.
Biden’s Build Back Better Act Will Likely Cost Twice as Much as the CBO Projects. Here’s Why.

As Reason has repeatedly pointed out, several key parts of the bill are designed to game the CBO’s method for scoring the cost of legislation by setting arbitrary expiration dates even though lawmakers obviously intend for those policies to be permanent fixtures.
With all those gimmicks in place, the CBO assessment of the bill projects that it will cost about $1.8 trillion and add about $367 billion to the deficit over the next decade.
If all the Build Back Better plan’s proposals were made permanent, however, the final price tag would be $4.8 trillion, and the bill would add about $2.8 trillion to the deficit, according to the CRFB.
The Wharton analysis also provides a useful illustration of why policy makers engage in this sort of budget gimmickry to pass big spending bills—and, to be sure, this is a game that both Republicans and Democrats are adept at playing..
