Horrifying moment gun-wielding Texas man shoots dead partner’s ex
Footage shows Kyle Carruth opening fire on Chad Read after the two squared up against each other and wrestled over the gun in Lubbock, Texas.
However, Carruth has not yet been charged by police over the killing with his lawyers arguing that it was ‘justifiable homicide’ and carried out in self defence.
The argument leading up to the November 5 shooting centred around a custody dispute over the children of Chad Read and his ex-wife Christina Read.
Through her attorney, Chad Read’s widow Jennifer Read released a statement along with the footage that shows the moment her 54-year-husband was shot and killed by Carruth, reportedly Christina Read’s new boyfriend.
Georgia woman fatally stabbed by son on Thanksgiving
Marcia Chance, 42, was discovered lifeless with stab wounds inside a Lawrenceville home by cops responding to a report of a domestic-related assault just before noon Thursday, Gwinnett County police said in a statement.
Chance’s 18-year-old son, Varian Alexander Hibbert, who also lived at the residence, was arrested by cops at the scene on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, police said.
Hibbert was arrested in August on charges of criminal property damage and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence, WAGA-TV reported.
He was busted on similar charges roughly two weeks later, the station reported. It’s unclear if Chance was somehow linked to those incidents.

He was reported to law enforcement by a local pastor who told authorities Cota approached him Sunday and said he “had issues with one of the beliefs” in the church’s guidelines.
The man particularly drew attention to the word “incest,” arresting documents said.
During their conversation, the pastor told Cota he should report himself to officials. The pastor eventually gave Cota’s information to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest report said the victim told officials she had sexual encounters with the man since she was seven-years-old, adding Cota told her “the sexual acts were how to show affection,” the Post article continued:
#53: Man charged with shooting 1-year-old while on recognizance bond for felony gun case
Prosecutors said one of two men who engaged in a gunfight that left a 1-year-old boy with a gunshot wound earlier this month was on bond for a pending felony gun case.
Maalik Lumpkins, 19, is charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with the incident, making him the 53rd person accused of killing, trying to kill, or shooting someone in Chicago this year while awaiting trial for a felony. A total of 75 victims are involved in those crimes.
Lumpkins and another man arrived at the gas station near 75th and State streets in the same car around 1:25 p.m. November 11, police said. At some point, prosecutors said, Lumpkins began running after the other man and shooting him six times. The other man also fired back, striking Lumpkins in the chest.
A bullet also grazed 1-year-old’s head as he sat in a car about a block away, police said. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was stabilized after surgery, according to police.

An organized group burglarized several businesses in and near Wicker Park early Friday Park, prompting Chicago police to flood the downtown retail corridors with extra resources to prevent similar raids along the Mag Mile and nearby areas.

Between 1:30 a.m. and. 3 a.m., a group of men that traveled in a 3-vehicle convoy burglarized the Foot Locker, 1241 North Milwaukee, North Face at 1629 North Damen, D&D Liquor at 2006 West Division, and the Empire Wireless at 2640 West Division, according to preliminary CPD reports. The front entrance was also damaged at Hustla Boutique, 1431 West Chicago, but it was not immediately clear if merchandise was taken.
Police said clothing was taken from Foot Locker, coats were taken from North Face, and electronics were taken from the cellular store.
Florida Reports Lowest Coronavirus Cases per Capita as Blue States Surge
As of Friday, Florida reported a daily average of 1,393 cases, or six per 100,000, representing a two percent decrease of cases in the last two weeks alone.
While Florida stood throughout the pandemic as the target of the establishment media and blue state leaders, such as disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), it has for weeks maintained its status as having one of the lowest — if not the lowest — per capita case count in the entire nation.
“They don’t want to tell you this, but Florida for like almost a month has been either the lowest or one of the lowest COVID in the entire country,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said during a press conference in Brandon, Florida, last week, where he signed legislation designed to protect workers from vaccine mandates.
Other states are not faring as well, and many of them happen to be some of the biggest champions of lockdowns throughout the pandemic.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s (D) Michigan is experiencing one of the biggest spikes in the nation, reporting a daily average of 8,457 cases, or 85 per 100,000. That represents an 88 percent increase over the last two weeks. In that same period of time, hospitalizations went up 11 percent, while Florida’s have gone down by 12 percent.
Salvation Army Wants People To ‘Lament, Repent And Apologize’ For Racism
The Protestant Christian church, which started the kettle-ringing tradition in 1891, made the request in a 67-page online guide titled, “Let’s Talk About Racism.”
“We recognize that it is a profound challenge to sit on the hot seat and listen with an open heart to the hurt and anger of the wounded,” the guide told readers. “Yet, we are all hardwired to desire justice and fairness, so the need to receive a sincere apology is necessary,” it said.
In a section titled “What Is Whiteness?” the guide discouraged “colorblindness,” and it later suggested a number of books, including “White Fragility,” by Robin DeAngelo, and “How to Be an Anti-Racist,” by Ibram X. Kendi, prominent advocates of Critical Race Theory (CRT).
California’s new educational guidelines say math is racist
These guidelines do not instruct educators to teach critical race theory, but rather use critical race theory as a guide for the formation of teaching principles.
Critical race theory is not being taught to students, but taught to teachers, who are then meant to use it to formulate their own practices.
The goal of the new math framework is “to maintain rigor while also helping remedy California’s achievement gaps” for black, Latino, and poor students. the reason for the changes is that California students are falling behind in math.
There has been pushback against the new guidelines, most notably from STEM professionals. A UC Irvine mathematics professor, Svetlana Jitomirskaya, said that the guidelines authors neglected to consult STEM experts who have a better understanding of the progression of math education and how concepts build upon previous lessons.
Teachers contribute to Democrats more than any other profession
The National Education Association reported spending $48 million in the 2020 election cycle, nearly 94% of which went to Democrats. Direct donations reported by unions only represent a small portion of unions’ political spending, according to a 2012 investigation by The Wall Street Journal.
Teachers unions also played a major role in influencing government institutions to keep schools closed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and reportedly pressured the CDC to implement stricter mask guidance for schools after it announced Americans did not need to wear masks indoors.
The school board feuds which became national news during the COVID-19 shutdowns are driven largely by politics, with conservative parents fighting progressive teachers’ and school board members’ efforts to teach divisive racial and sexual content in schools.
‘Taken over with violence’: Rochester schools dealing with spike in unruly student behavior
Parents have recently expressed concerns with school and district officials about the behavior, which has become a significant enough problem to warrant a response from the Rochester Public School Board.
Unruly student behavior has taken the forms of fighting and blatant disobedience of adult direction. In one instance, a fight between students at John Adams Middle School led to a “medical situation” that required paramedic assistance, the Post Bulletin reported.

US to restrict travel from southern Africa over Omicron Covid variant fears
Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, Anthony Fauci, said on Friday there was “no indication” the new “Omicron” coronavirus variant discovered in southern Africa had reached the US.
Nonetheless, the the Biden administration said it would restrict travel from South Africa and seven other countries in southern Africa, starting on Monday.
“As a precautionary measure until we have more information, I’m ordering additional air travel restrictions from South Africa and seven other countries. These new restrictions will take effect” on Monday.
Other countries moved quickly to enact travel limitations due to variant fears. Britain has banned flights from South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe. European Union states agreed to introduce restrictions on travel from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Singapore and Japan also restricted travel.
Over 100 Colombia Protesters Suffered Eye Damage By Police In 2021 Marches -Report
Protests against a government tax reform enveloped cities throughout Colombia from the end of April and ran for six weeks as demonstrators’ demands expanded to include a basic income and an end to police violence.
From April 28 to July 20, at least 103 people suffered eye injuries caused by Colombia’s police, according to a report from Amnesty International, Colombian rights group Temblores, and the Program of Action for Equality and Social Inclusion of the Universidad de los Andes.
In 28 incidents, victims lost at least one eyeball or the sight in one or both eyes due to police wielding batons or firing less-lethal munitions, according to Temblores data and video verification by Amnesty.
