Times Square Is Back Open on New Year’s Eve, With Vaccine Proof
NEW YORK—Crowds will once again fill New York’s Times Square this New Year’s Eve, with proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for revelers who want to watch the ball drop in person, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday.
“Yes, we are proud to announce that Times Square, wonderful celebration in Times Square, the ball drop, everything, coming back full strength the way we love it,” de Blasio said at a virtual news briefing. “Hundreds of thousands of people there to celebrate. We can finally get back together again. It’s going to be amazing.”
Tom Harris, the president of the Times Square Alliance, said all spectators aged 5 and over will be asked to show proof of full vaccination. People who can’t be vaccinated because of a disability will have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, he said.
Nearly 50,000 Still Have No Power After Washington State Storm
BELLINGHAM, Wash.—Nearly 50,000 Washington state electrical customers still had no power Tuesday after days of heavy rain triggered mudslides and floods and forced the closure of the West Coast’s main north-south highway near the Canadian border, officials said.
The rains caused by an atmospheric river—a huge plume of moisture extending over the Pacific and into Washington and Oregon—was easing and road crews managed to reopen southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Bellingham, Washington. But the highway’s northbound lanes were still closed in the area.
At the height of the storm, about 158,000 electrical customers on Monday had no power and schools in the city of Bellingham were closed on Tuesday for the second day in a row.
Woman Killed in Atlanta Park Was Stabbed 50 Times, ‘FAT’ Cut into Skin
The bodies of the victim and her dog, whose name was Bowie, were discovered in the park in the early hours after they did not return after a walk.
“Janness’ girlfriend, Emma Clark, used a cellphone app to track her, Clark’s father previously told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,” the report stated.
Following a short walk from their house, Clark found Bowie and Janness deceased, approximately 100 feet apart, according to Clark’s father.
“The report is extremely heartbreaking to read and know the exact nature of what Katie endured in her final moments on this Earth. Whoever is responsible is very disturbed and remains a danger to everyone’s safety. Please be vigilant and aware of your surroundings for we would hate for any family to be put through this nightmare,” Clark added.
911 calls, motion to keep ‘intimidating’ visitors out of court kicks off Day 8 in Arbery death trial
After Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson sat in court with Arbery’s mother on separate days, Gough expressed their presence could be intimidating to jurors. Gough requested a mistrial Monday, which the judge denied calling his request baseless.
“It raises the same issues with more authority,” Gough said about the motion.
After a brief break, the judge said the court would rule on the use of the 911 calls and the motion soon. The jury came in and they proceeded with testimony from the medical examiner who performed an autopsy on Arbery.
Ambulance driver facing charges after trying to leave in Uber after deadly crash
The ambulance driver, a 34-year-old certified paramedic, is facing DUI and homicide charges after the crash killed 66-year-old Wilton Thomason, a dialysis patient who was being transported.
While GSP was on their way to the scene, the driver and passenger in the ambulance tried to get an Uber and leave the scene but were stopped. It is still unclear if the passenger worked with the driver or was there with the patient.
When GSP arrived they had the driver undergo a sobriety test, which he failed. The report reveals the driver admitted to smoking marijuana, taking Adderall, and drinking a beer while driving the ambulance.
Two Arkansas men confess to raping 6-year-old girl, which gave her multiple STIs
Authorities were able to find the hotel in Little Rock matching the description by the minor, including the picture hanging on the wall and the curtain.
Financial records showed the child’s mother rented a room at the hotel in March 2018, using a credit card.

Doctors at Arkansas Children’s Hospital determined that it was unlikely the child had obtained each sexually transmitted disease from the same offender and that there were likely multiple offenders. Officers obtained search warrants for George and Waters’ blood and urine. Results indicated that George and Waters tested positive for sexually transmitted diseases that the minor had contracted. Both George and Waters admitted in court that they had sexual contact with the minor and were involved in trafficking her with others.
October Migrant Apprehensions at Border Jump 130 Percent from Prior Year
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials released the October Southwest Land Border Encounters Report after the close of business on Monday night. The official report confirms a leaked Border Patrol document reviewed earlier this month by Breitbart Texas revealing more than 158,000 migrants.
The official report shows that Border Patrol agents apprehended 158,575 migrants during the first month of the new fiscal year. This is up from only 69,032 in October 2020.
The more than 158,000 migrants apprehended include 104,441 single adults (a 75 percent increase from last October), 41,487 family units (a 795 percent increase), and 12,647 unaccompanied minors (a 170 percent increase).
Large Migrant Groups Surge Through Arizona Border Wall Gaps
According to the Border Patrol, the Yuma Sector has apprehended more than 850 migrants each day since Friday. The sector is firmly in third place behind Del Rio and the Rio Grande Valley in migrant apprehensions this fiscal year.
The statistics show Yuma’s apprehension increase in October 2021 is 2,647 percent over October 2020. According to CBP, Yuma is closely trailing the Del Rio Sector by a mere 6,488 apprehensions for the month.
According to a source within CBP, the Border Patrol apprehended more than 200,000 migrants since October 1, 2021, which marked the beginning of Fiscal Year 2022. The source says internal predictions currently show more than 1.8 million migrant arrests for the new fiscal year.
EXCLUSIVE: Venezuelan Migrant Apprehensions at Border Up 9000 Percent
In October, nearly 8,000 Brazilian nationals were arrested, a more than 4,000 percent increase over last October. More than 13,000 Venezuelan nationals were arrested representing a 9,000 percent increase over the same period. More than 9,000 Nicaraguans were encountered, marking an increase of 3,500 percent.
A total of 30,537 migrants were apprehended from these three countries in October. Nearly half were single adults. More than 15,000 were members of family units and less than 400 were unaccompanied minors.
As for the Venezuelan nationals, many moved to neighboring Colombia and other third countries before heading to the United States.
Group of 225 Migrants Apprehended in West Texas Border Town
“The station is averaging over 500 apprehensions per day so far this month, making Eagle Pass the new hot spot for Del Rio Sector,” Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials tweeted. “We continue to adjust operations with our constant focus on national security.”
Border Patrol officials previously stated that human smugglers utilize large groups, like this group of 250 migrants, to tie up law enforcement assets in the area in order to run drugs or so-called “high-value” migrants into the U.S.
In September, Haitian migrants make the Del Rio Sector and the city of Del Rio, Texas, the new ground zero of human smuggling activity along the U.S.-Mexico Border. Del Rio Sector officials say that with 500 migrants being apprehended per day, Eagle Pass is now that center of activity.

Sailors who refuse COVID-19 vaccine face these administrative actions, as well as separation, Navy says
Sailors who reject the vaccine and do not have a pending or approved exemption request could lose out on education benefits, promotions and bonus pay, according to a Navy administrative message released Nov. 15.
“In order to ensure a fully vaccinated force, U.S. Navy policy is to process for separation all Navy service members who refuse the lawful order to receive the COVID-19 vaccination and do not have an approved exemption,” the NAVADMIN said.
Sailors who are denied an administrative exemption, such as a religious waiver, or amedical exemption have five days afterward to take initial steps toward becoming fully vaccinated — or the Navy will start the separation process, according to the message.
Pentagon Says It Has Authority To Require Oklahoma National Guard To Follow Vaccine Mandate
The Pentagon on Monday said it has the authority to require members of the National Guard to get vaccinated against COVID-19 after the Oklahoma National Guard’s newly appointed commander refused to impose a vaccine mandate ordered by the Defense Department.
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters that U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin “has the authorities he needs to require this vaccine across the force, including the National Guard.”
Kirby later added during a news briefing that it is “a lawful order for National Guardsmen to receive the COVID vaccine.”

Now, the state is only providing the treatments to “high-risk ethnicity groups,” while actively refusing to provide the same care to whites who have been diagnosed with Covid.

Blasts in Uganda: Suicide bombers target capital Kampala, IS links suspected
Three suicide bombings killed at least three people in Ugandan capital Kampala on Tuesday. Dozens have been arrested in the bombings in a country that is seen as a stable bulwark against Islamic extremism in Africa.
At least 33 people were being treated in hospital, including five who were in critical condition, police spokesperson Fred Enanga said.
The death toll including the three bombers was six, Enanga said.
A diplomat told Reuters two police were among the victims. Enanga confirmed the death toll included police but declined to give further details.
Italian Government Raids Homes of Anti-Vaccine Passport Activists
The raids were conducted on Monday morning, with police claiming that many of those raided were known to them for having extremist links and criminal backgrounds, with prior convictions for theft and narcotics crimes.
The General Investigations and Special Operations Division (DIGOS) of Palermo claim to have found containers of an acid substance they allege extremists planned to throw at police, while the police in Brescia and Cremona claimed to have found knives and a crossbow during searches, Il Giornale reports.
The newspaper has also claimed that far-left anarchists and far-right extremists have both been present at some of the protests against the Green Pass, blaming the radicals for violence that has taken place at a number of protests between demonstrators and police.

More than 10,000 Australians have filed coronavirus vaccine injury claims
Services Australia is building an online portal, to be launched next month, for uncapped claims above $5000 from those who suffered injury and loss of income due to their COVID-19 vaccine, with compensation for medical costs and lost wages to be paid by the government.
More than 10,000 people have registered their interest to make a claim since registration opened on the federal health department’s website in September, official data shows, meaning it would cost at least $50 million if each claim is approved.
Ms Eves said significant brain or cardiac injury could result in a claim in the hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars.
US accuses Iran of unsafe helo maneuver near USS Essex
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said the Iranian helicopter circled the amphibious assault ship Essex three times and at one point flew as low as 10 feet off the surface of the water.
He said the incident on Nov. 11 had no effect on the Essex’s operations.
“Without getting into specifics, the crew of the Essex took the appropriate force protection measures they felt that they needed to, and they acted in accordance with international law,” Kirby said.
