WATCH: Project Veritas attorney Harmeet Dhillon slams New York Times for obtaining privileged information in ‘illegal and unethical’ way
“Now a lot of privileged information was on his phones, including communications with — by my count four dozen different lawyers over the years. And coincidentally, this publication came out this afternoon from The New York Times,” she continued.
“I can’t say with a certainty how The New York Times got this information, but I can say that they got it in a way that is illegal and unethical,” Dhillon added.
Dhillon stated that its a “very disturbing situation of the U.S. attorney’s office and/or the FBI tipping off The New York Times to each of the raids on Project Veritas — current and former employees.”
Asian woman robbed and pushed onto subway tracks in NYC’s Times Square
An Asian woman was waiting for a subway in Times Square Friday afternoon when police say a homeless man snatched her purse and shoved her onto the tracks.
The violent attack took place just before 1:45pm on the uptown R subway platform.
Witnesses immediately jumped into action and detained the suspect until police arrived to arrest him.
Meanwhile, good Samaritans rescued the victim from the tracks. She was taken to a hospital to be treated for head and neck injuries, reported ABC 7 NY.
500 National Guard troops on stand-by in Wisconsin for Rittenhouse
Governor Tony Evers announced that the guardsmen will be stationed outside Kenosha, ready to support local police in the event of unrest over the weekend and next week.
‘We continue to be in close contact with our partners at the local level to ensure the state provides support and resources to help keep the Kenosha community and greater area safe.
‘I urge folks who are otherwise not from the area to please respect the community by reconsidering any plans to travel there and encourage those who might choose to assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights to do so safely and peacefully,’ he said.
Closing arguments begin on Monday and the likelihood of an acquittal or mistrial is growing by the day.
Jon Gruden sues NFL, Roger Goodell over resignation; alleges ‘Soviet-style character assassination’
“Jon Gruden has filed suit against the National Football League and Commissioner Goodell in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada.
The complaint alleges that the defendants selectively leaked Gruden’s private correspondence to The Wall Street Journal and New York Times in order to harm Gruden’s reputation and force him out of his job,” Gruden’s attorney, Adam Hosmer-Henner, said in a statement to Fox News Friday.
“There is no explanation or justification for why Gruden’s emails were the only ones made public out of the 650,000 emails collected in the NFL’s investigation of the Washington Football Team or for why the emails were held for months before being released in the middle of the Raiders’ season.”
In a 21-page complaint obtained by Fox News, the NFL and Goodell are alleged to have “sought to destroy the career and reputation” of Gruden through “a malicious and orchestrated campaign.”

Video obtained by WFSB shows the suspects allegedly moving numerous bottles of laundry detergent and other goods, including paper towels, from shopping carts into two different vehicles. Once the carriages were empty, and the cars were full, the alleged suspects sped off through the parking lot.
“That why prices go up because of these [unknown expletive,]” one bystander says in the video. “Can’t get a job like the rest of us.”
Police said some $1,600 worth of product was allegedly shoplifted from the grocery store, according to Fox 61.
Seattle’s crime prompts security escorts for county employees amid new push to defund police
Seattle’s downtown is now considered so dangerous that King County employees will be escorted by security guards to buses, trains and ferries as part of a new program. Private sector workers won’t have such option.
The initiative called the Walking Bus pilot program was announced to employees on Wednesday, “the same day the city council, seemingly going against the wishes of Seattle voters’ rejection of the defund police movement, proposed a nearly $11 million cut from the force,” the outlet continued.
According to the King County website, the Walking Bus pilot program will take effect on Nov. 15. Starting that day, county employees will be able to “join their colleagues and a Facilities Management Division (FMD) Security Escort each evening walking to the King Street Station and the Coleman Dock from the downtown campus.”
Man charged with killing 70-year-old after body found near train tracks in Scott Township
Vendell Nasir III, 28, is accused of killing Joseph Williams, of Carnegie, by beating and apparently attacking him with a knife, according to a criminal complaint.
Nasir was found by the homeless camp with blood on his hands and clothes, as well as fresh cuts on his hand, according to police. Witnesses told officers they saw Nasir punching and kicking Williams.
Nasir was arrested and charged with criminal homicide and tampering with or fabricating evidence.
Washington Post corrects, removes reporting that relied on discredited anti-Trump Steele dossier
“The Washington Post on Friday took the unusual step of correcting and removing large portions of two articles, published in March 2017 and February 2019, that had identified a Belarusan American businessman as a key source of the ‘Steele dossier,’ a collection of largely unverified reports that claimed the Russian government had compromising information about then-candidate Donald Trump,” Post media reporter Paul Farhi wrote.
“The newspaper’s executive editor, Sally Buzbee, said The Post could no longer stand by the accuracy of those elements of the story.
It had identified businessman Sergei Millian as ‘Source D,’ the unnamed figure who passed on the most salacious allegation in the dossier to its principal author, former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele,” Farhi continued.
A record 4.4M Americans quit jobs as ‘Great Resignation’ gathers momentum
The number of U.S. workers quitting their jobs surged to a record in September as openings remained near an all-time high.
The total number of quits rose by 164,000 in September to a record-high 4.4 million, according to the Labor Department’s Job Opening and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS. This as the number of available positions slipped to 10.4 million, but remained near a record high.
Americans have been quitting their jobs in droves in recent months as the pandemic has caused many to reevaluate their careers. Some workers are seeking the ability to work from home while others have been lured by higher pay. The changes in the labor force have been dubbed the “Great Resignation.”

The victims were identified as 41-year-old Ishnanda H. and 36-year-old Kairsten H. who were riding a Toyota Camry driven by 35-year-old Marcos Solorzano. The two U.S. citizens reside in San Antonio, Texas, and were traveling to Veracruz for meetings.
According to the victims’ statements, when they were getting close to Antiguo Guerrero, a blue SUV cut them off so they turned around and headed back to Nuevo Laredo. The victims claimed the SUV chased them until one of their tires was shot, forcing a stop.
The victims tried to run and hide in the brush but additional gunmen arrived and found them. The gunmen beat and accusing them of being members of the Gulf Cartel. They were handcuffed and loaded into the bed of a pickup.

North Dakota passes bill banning CRT in schools, unclear if GOP Gov. Burgum will sign it
KX News first reported that the bill cleared the Senate. It passed the Senate 38-9, according to the state legislature’s website. The bill cleared the state House 76-16 on Thursday.
The anti-CRT bill was swiftly introduced and approved during a special session that was called to address redistricting and the spending of coronavirus stimulus money.
“This bill is about critical race theory, and it’s mostly about preventing it from being taught in our state,” Republican state Sen. Donald Schaible said Friday.
The one-page bill says that public schools and districts “shall ensure instruction on its curriculum is factual” and “may not include instruction relating to critical race theory.” It gives the state school superintendent the authority to create rules to enforce the CRT ban.
Rep. Gooden, in border visit, slams secrecy behind ‘organized’ operation to move migrants into US
Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, is sounding the alarm about what he says is a secretive and “very organized” operation to bring illegal migrants into the U.S. and facilitate their transport across the country — amid growing concern from Republicans about the transport and release of migrants in the U.S.
Gooden spoke to Fox News during a visit to the border in San Diego, where he described seeing buses of migrants traveling through toward sealed-off hotels that are being operated by well-funded nonprofits.
“These buses come over and over throughout the day to these various hotels that say they are closed for construction, when they are very much open and they’re just closed to the public,” he said.

Japanese destroyer escorts Australian vessel for 1st time
TOKYO — A Maritime Self-Defense Force ship escorted an Australian vessel during this week’s bilateral naval drill, Japan’s Defense Ministry said Friday, marking the first time Japanese forces protected warships other than U.S. vessels.
The escort took place during a joint exercise conducted Wednesday through Friday south of Shikoku, one of Japan’s four main islands. The Japanese destroyer Inazuma protected the frigate Warramunga in response to a request from the Australian side.
Tokyo looks to deepen security cooperation with Canberra as China enhances its military. Last year, Japan’s Self-Defense Forces were involved in a record 25 missions protecting U.S. military vessels and aircraft.
More Jailed In Russia’s North Ossetia For COOVID-Related Protests
The Kirov district court on November 12 found Akhsartag Ailarov, Dzhon Dzhioyev, Valery Melikyan, and Bimbolat Bekuzarov guilty of taking part in mass disorders and sentenced them to 3 1/2 years in prison each.
A fourth individual, Zaur Kaitmazov, was sentenced to four years in prison on the same charge.
More sentences are expected to be announced against others involved in the protests against measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus in North Ossetia.
On April 20, 2020, police in North Ossetia detained dozens of protesters when about 2,000 people gathered in the central square of the regional capital, Vladikavkaz, demanding the resignation of regional leader Vyacheslav Bitarov.
The rally lasted for several hours until police violently dispersed it.
COP26: Carbon footprint of COP26 in Glasgow more than double that of COP25
Dr Doug Parr, the chief scientist for Greenpeace UK, said the fact that international travel accounted for the majority of the carbon footprint at a conference where negotiators have so far been unable to reach any “meaningful agreement” on aviation emissions highlighted the “lack of equity” in the talks.
The projected emissions for the gathering, described as a “preliminary baseline assessment” by Arup, the Government’s COP26 sustainability consultant, are significantly higher than any previous COP.
