Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller Jr. is being released from military brig today after winning a landslide of public support for his condemnation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
His media team released an update on Tuesday saying: ‘An IRO hearing was scheduled to review LtCol Stuart Scheller’s pre-trial detention at 1:30 pm today.
‘The Marine Corps refused to provide an open hearing or to record the hearing. Media outlets objected and asked that the hearing be delayed to allow for action in federal court.
‘Prior to the hearing, the Marine Corps agreed to release LtCol Scheller pending trial by court martial.

African ‘Migrant’ Charged With Murder In Utah
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – On Sunday, police arrested Buk Mawut Buk, 22, for the shooting death of University of Utah football player, 21-year-old Aaron Lowe.
Buk has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder, felony discharge of a firearm and violation of probation. He is currently being held at the Salt Lake County Jail without bond.
*Buk came to this country, along with his family from South Sudan. He has a long criminal history in and around Salt Lake City, including two convictions for robbery.
Though this case has been covered extensively at the local level, not one has reported on Buk’s immigration status.
Police: Illegal Alien Beat, Strangled Woman In Pa. ‘Sanctuary’ County
As officers took him into custody, the illegal alien told the woman that he would return to “kill” her, upon his release from jail. according to the arrest report.
Mondragon-Alvarez has been charged with strangulation, making terroristic threats, assault, criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct. He is currently being held at the Chester County Prison, as he has been unable to post bail.
*As Chester County employs a ‘sanctuary’ policy, if Mondragon-Alvarez is able to come up with 10 percent of his bond, to pay to a bail-bonding service, he will simply be released back onto the streets. This, despite threatening to kill his victim, in the presence of police officers and his immigration status.
Approaching Surge Of 60,000 Haitian Migrants Could Overwhelm Border, Texas Officials Say
Texas law enforcement officials are reportedly preparing for over 60,000 migrants to attempt to illegally enter the U.S., according to the Washington Examiner.
Thousands of Texas National Guard troops and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials were sent to assist immigration authorities at the border, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott spokesperson Renae Eze told the Examiner.
More than 85,000 migrants have crossed through Panama since January, and between 20,000 and 25,000 Haitians have arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Axios.
Parents respond to DOJ, school boards’ statements: ‘I am what a domestic terrorist looks like?’

California Now Bans State-funded Travel to One-third of America
The Bee notes that it is impossible to drive cross-country without passing through at least one state to which California bans state-funded travel. Moreover, “California prohibits state-funded travel to 18 of the 25 states where most voters cast ballots for Trump in 2020 – and none of the states that backed Biden.”
The law has many exceptions: public college athletic teams, for example, travel to banned states using private money.
California passed a law in 2016 allowing the state’s attorney general to ban official travel to a state deemed to have violated the rights of LGBTQ individuals.
The law was a response to a controversy in 2015, when big companies said they would boycott Indiana over a called the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Hundreds of people gathered outside Brooklyn Department of Education to protest vaccination mandates for teachers and school staff.
The group then marched in the roadway, across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall and through lower Manhattan.

The 2,500-page landmark report was released Tuesday after more than two years of investigations by an independent commission, in France’s first major reckoning with the devastating phenomenon.
A victim named ‘Marie’ testified that she was abused as an 11-year-old and that when she complained about the abuse to her parents they refused to believe a nun could do such a thing. The abuse continued for another year.
Eighty per cent of victims were young boys between the ages of 10 and 13, however many girls also suffered abuse, not only by priests but also by nuns.
Pope Francis today expressed to the victims his ‘great sorrow, for their wounds’, adding that he was grateful for the courage they had shown in denouncing what they had been through.
