Marine who Trump brought on stage at rally now under military investigation for it
On Saturday, September 25, Clark appeared on stage with former President Trump during a campaign-style rally in Georgia. Now Clark is being investigated by his military unit over whether he violated the military’s ban on active-duty troops engaging in partisan political activity.
Clark’s appearance at the Trump rally is not the only time a service member’s actions have raised questions about the politicization of the military.
During the 2020 Democratic National Convention, two uniformed U.S. Army Reserve soldiers stood alongside American Samoa’s Democratic Party leaders as they endorsed then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for office.
Those soldiers ultimately saw no disciplinary action, but their supervisor did receive an unspecified reprimand.
Plan approved to sell collapsed condo property to UAE outfit
A plan to possibly sell the South Florida property where the collapse of a condo building killed 98 people to a United Arab Emirates-based developer was endorsed Thursday by a Florida judge.
Under the plan, the almost 2-acre (0.8-hectare), oceanfront property would be purchased for $120 million in cash by East Oceanside Development.
At the same time, an attorney appointed to manage the interests of Champlain Towers South will continue to market the Surfside property, and an auction will be held if competitive bidders emerge willing to pay a higher price.
Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Michael Hanzman said during a court hearing that he would approve the plan, provided his court maintained jurisdiction over any lawsuits that come out of the proposed sale. He said he didn’t want the property “tied up in litigation” if the contract falls apart.
Hospitals fear staffing shortages as vaccine deadlines loom
Hospitals and nursing homes around the U.S. are bracing for worsening staff shortages as state deadlines arrive for health care workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
With ultimatums taking effect this week in states like New York, California, Rhode Island and Connecticut, the fear is that some employees will quit or let themselves be fired or suspended rather than get the vaccine.
The Biden administration also will require the roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid to be fully vaccinated under a rule still being developed.
That has worried some hospital officials, particularly in rural communities where vaccination rates tend to be lower.
Cheltenham man sent to prison for child sexual assault
Christopher M. Matsinger, 49, of the 500 block of East Glenside Avenue, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 12 to 25 years in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child under 13, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16 and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with incidents that occurred between 2009 and 2018 at various locations in the township and in Delaware.
The girl was between the ages of 6 and 15 when the sexual abuse occurred, detectives said.
Judge Steven T. O’Neill, as part of a plea agreement, also ordered Matsinger to complete five years’ probation following parole, meaning Matsinger will be under court supervision for a total of 30 years.

Dr. Scott Atlas : Vaccines Work, But Natural Immunity Should Not Be Ignored | CLIP
Dr. Scott Atlas says that the end point for the pandemic should be to focus on reducing the risk of hospitalization and death, not reducing the rate of infection with COVID-19.
He says that even if the efficacy of vaccines for preventing infections wanes of over time, the vaccines do still work in reducing risk for hospitalization and death.
Even still, Atlas warns against ignoring the natural immunity aspect of the equation, citing data showing that natural immunity from previous infection still continues to be the most effective way of preventing serious illness and reinfection.
Report: Trans Athletes Retain Physiological Advantages over Women
Such is the competitive advantage the report urges consideration be given to adopting “universal” or “open” categories in order to protect female-only competition, while allowing transgender participation after concluding men who identify as women do retain physique, stamina and strength advantages.
The report follows the Tokyo 2020 Olympics this summer where transgender athlete Laurel Hubbard made history by competing in the women’s +87kg weightlifting.
Hubbard became the first openly transgender athlete to compete at a Games in a different gender category to the one in which they were born.
San Francisco’s Outdoor ‘Outside Lands’ Festival to Require Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test
The San Francisco Chronicle‘s Datebook reported Wednesday:
Officials from Another Planet Entertainment, co-producers of the mega fest in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, outlined plans to safely bring the three-day concert back to city over Halloween weekend for the first time in more than two years, stating that in addition to the previously announced requirement that patrons must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative coronavirus test for entry into the festival, they are taking measures to help mitigate traffic, safety and noise issues.
The festival, which typically takes place in August, is now set for Oct. 29-31, due to a series of pandemic-related delays. That means it starts on a school day and ends on Halloween, a holiday in which children and adults alike are known to gather in large groups.
The strict requirements are being imposed despite the fact that the risk of outdoor transmission of coronavirus is considered relatively small.
Panama warns of looming Haitian migrant wave, tens of thousands on the way
In a new interview with Axios, Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes said that since the beginning of 2021 more than 85,000 Haitians have crossed through Panama and that she believes “they all are heading toward the U.S.”
“We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ‘Please, let’s pay attention to this,'” Mouynes told the outlet.
Mouynes said she also met with members of Congress and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas earlier this week.
In addition to the 85,000 people that have already made their may to Panama and beyond, Mouynes said another 30,000 are waiting in Colombia while Panama is unable to take them.
Repairs completed on Limerick nuke plant’s failed emergency cooling system
The problem was discovered during a routine “surveillance test.”
“The system did not pass the test and was declared inoperable. After troubleshooting and repairs, the system was returned to service early” on Monday, Screnci wrote in an email response to a query from MediaNews Group.
“Our inspectors were there over the weekend monitoring Exelon’s effort to troubleshoot and make repairs,” Screnci wrote in the email.
Donald Trump being courted by Twitter alternative Gettr — run by his ex-adviser
Trump hasn’t agreed to sign up — yet. Far from the days of lending his name to vodka, steaks and ties, the former president wants to “make sure it’s a viable platform” before joining, Miller told The Post.
Gettr currently looks like a bare-bones version of Twitter, but Miller says the platform plans to add features like direct messaging and live-streaming in the coming months. Gettr Pay, an alternative to Apple and Google Pay, is expected next year.
Trump also wants something else as a condition of joining, according to an Axios report last month: equity in Gettr. Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.
And Miller is looking to set Gettr apart from rival pro-Trump platforms by making it more international in scope. Miller already persuaded Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to sign up and is pushing other global right-wing populist figures to join.

According to official results, Joe Biden won the Arizona by fewer than 11,000 votes.
The recently-completed audit flagged more than 57,000 ballots in the one county alone.
Critics of the audit effort mounted by Republicans insisted it was not a fair process and that the results could be trusted. When the audit was completed, many in the media falsely reported that it proved Biden had won the election fair and square, and many one-time critics heralded the results.
In fact, although a hand recount was within a few hundred votes of the original count, that mechanism did not address the thousands of anomalies found.

Junta Soldiers Evict Hundreds at Gunpoint, Highlighting Military Impunity in Post-Coup Myanmar
Residents of Sintgu township told RFA’s Myanmar Service that around 40 armed soldiers entered Ngwe Daung, Nyaung Wun and Ye Htut villages on Sept. 24, demanding that they dismantle their homes and relocate within a week because they had “encroached on military land.”
A resident of Ye Htut, who spoke on condition of anonymity fearing reprisal, said that when villagers complained, they were told that they could “set up temporary tents in the fields” and stay for a week until they had harvested their crops, but would have to leave when they had finished.
“All the villagers were afraid and did not want to stay in the area,” despite having nowhere to relocate to, the resident said.
British warship passes through Taiwan Strait, angering China
China strongly condemned Monday the passage of a British frigate through the Taiwan Strait as the U.K. looks to bolster its presence in the Indo-Pacific.
The Royal Navy’s HMS Richmond unusually broadcast its location while sailing through the sensitive strait on its way to Vietnam.
The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command said in a statement that military units have been dispatched “to follow and monitor the voyage.”
China has been conducting exercises around Taiwan and Chinese military aircraft are making regular incursions into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone.
Kim Jong Un vows greater nuclear capability, warns US
“As the actions of the past eight months of the new U.S. administration have clearly shown, the U.S. military threat and hostile policy toward North Korea has not changed at all,” Kim said in a speech on the second day of a parliament meeting, the official Korea Central News Agency reported Thursday.
Washington’s North Korea policy is becoming “more cunning,” he added, saying that he would step up new weapon developments to deter any possible “military provocations by hostile forces.”
The speech came just a day after Pyongyang declared that it had successfully tested of a new “hypersonic missile,” putting the Kim regime closer to putting nuclear warheads on what it called “high-speed gliders that can evade U.S. missile defenses.”
3 Russian fighter jets intercept US B-52 bomber near Japan

PACAF spokeswoman Capt. Veronica Perez told Stars and Stripes on Wednesday that “A U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress positively identified and observed three Russian Sukhoi-35S fighters in the vicinity of Iturup over the Sea of Okhotsk in the early morning, 26 September.”
Iturup is the Russian name for an island also referred to as Etorofu by Japan. Russia has been holding military drills at the island in recent weeks after it announced it would expand military capabilities on the island.
The encounter was first reported on Sunday by Russian state-run news agency TASS, citing a statement from Russia’s National Defense Command Center, who said the U.S. plane was first identified through air defense radars when it approached Russian airspace.

Poland declared a state of emergency on its border with Belarus, the former Soviet Socialist Republic governed by Alexander Lukashenko, after the quasi-Stalinist regime in Minsk began pushing migrants from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia into the country and the neighbouring EU member-state of Lithuania earlier this year.
Under pressure from globalist European and United Nations officials to give in, Poland’s interior minister, Mariusz Kamiński, held a press conference revealing that mobile telephones recovered from migrants at the border feature child pornography, acts of bestiality, and terrorist atrocities, even showing some censored images of the material — prompting an angry backlash from elements of the mainstream media.
Interior Minister Kamiński, for his part, looks set to stand by his position that evidence of “sexually distorted persons” among the migrants is reason enough to keep them out of Poland, and will address the Polish parliament on his decision to share censored images of the sexually deviant and terroristic material discovered by the authorities on Monday.
Report: W.H.O. Ebola Response Staff ‘Traded Sex for Water’ in Congo
The commission confirmed that at least 21 of 83 men accused of sexual abuse or exploitation during the 22-month period were official W.H.O. staff members. The majority of the alleged perpetrators and accusers are Congolese nationals.
“In total, the review team received testimony from 63 women and only 12 men, ranging in age from 13 to 43 years and with an average age of around 20 years,” the report, published on September 28, stated.
Several female accusers told the commission they were raped by W.H.O. staffers and subsequently became pregnant. Some of these women further alleged that their perpetrators later forced them to abort their pregnancies.
While most W.H.O. staff accused of sexual abuse or exploitation were employed as contractors or temporary workers, some were high-ranking employees, including “WHO doctors, consultants and senior staff,” according to the commission’s summary.
Belgium to Pay for Women in Poland to Have Abortions Abroad
In January, the government of President Andrzej Duda enacted a citizen-led bill to ban abortions with exceptions for rape, incest, or in cases in which the mother’s life is in danger. Doctors who perform abortions in Poland for other reasons face up to three years in prison.
On Tuesday, marking the so-called “International Safe Abortion Day”, the Belgian Minister of Health and the Junior Minister for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, Sarah Schlitz announced that the government would be donating €10,000 to a pro-abortion group in order to pay for women to seek abortions outside of Poland.
The abortion law in Poland came in the wake of a ruling from the country’s High Court last October, which ruled in an 11-2 decision that aborting babies who are disabled — the most common reason for abortions in Poland — was unconstitutional and discriminatory.
