CDC quietly removed school guidance for eliminating masks, rolling back COVID-19 prevention efforts

“We believe that our state, as well as teachers unions, probably had an influence over this change,” Jonathan Zachreson, an advocate for fully reopening California schools, told Fox News.
“It’s basically mask indefinitely in schools forever, and there is no off-ramps. So it’s really disappointing to see that.”
Teachers unions have previously influenced changes to the CDC’s school-related guidance, reports have shown.
Initially, the CDC’s guidance included metrics that could help schools decide which mitigation strategies to use. But those metrics were removed.
The CDC’s guidance on Aug. 4 recommended that schools continue masking and distancing, but noted that they if they decide to scale back any prevention strategies, “they should remove them one at a time and monitor closely.”
That language was removed entirely.
Zachreson’s comments follow reports showing teachers unions influencing the CDC on its earlier school guidance.

Christian Teacher Wins Huge Victory to Not Have to Call Students By the Wrong Pronouns

Courage doesn’t need a crowd. It doesn’t need endorsements. It doesn’t need elected leaders’ approval. It just needs conviction. And Tanner has lots of it.
The religious devotion to the brokenness of D.I.E., however, led LCPS to see him as an enemy. To the shock of the .03% of those who protested against Tanner’s constitutional rights, LCPS’ attempt to fire him backfired.
Judge James E. Plowman reinstated his job and scolded LCPS for violating Cross’ First Amendment rights.
LCPS wouldn’t relent. They wanted to show zero tolerance for any diversity; any view outside of their pseudoscientific LGBTQ worldview must be silenced.
Racial justice group plans nationwide Facebook boycott

It asks users to collectively log off Facebook’s platforms on Nov. 10 as a way to disrupt the social media company, which Kairos claims is “knowingly allowing the proliferation of harms across its social media platforms.”
Since the majority of Facebook’s revenue comes from ads targeted at its users, Kairos said the collective move will pull “on the tried and true economic power of consumers to directly impact bottom lines for companies that shirk accountability.”
Kairos Executive Director Mariana Ruiz Firmat claims the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6 “was largely organized on Facebook after they failed to stop the spread of disinformation about the 2020 elections, putting our lives and democracy in jeopardy.”
Whistleblower behind ‘Facebook files’ will reveal identity, cooperate with Congress: source

A Wall Street Journal investigation detailed Facebook’s intimate knowledge of flaws that riddle its system – flaws that can cause harm. The Journal reviewed documents and research reports, along with online employee discussions.
A key piece of that report found that the company also knew of the harmful effects its products – most notably Instagram – could be on the health of teenaged girls.
Facebook also confirmed to FOX Business that the company will send its global head of safety, Antigone Davis, to testify.
Facebook has faced increasing pressure from lawmakers over its various practices, but the most recent revelations have brought incredible scrutiny and criticism from politicians.
Obama-Appointed Judge Wrongly Dismisses Defamation Suit Against Twitter In Hunter Biden Laptop Case

In an attempt to obtain some semblance of justice, The Mac Shop owner sued Twitter for defamation. Now his business is closed, his case is thrown out, and Twitter wants him to pay the attorney fees.
Yet, now that Politico’s Ben Schreckinger has a book out, “The Bidens: Inside the First Family’s Fifty-Year Rise to Power,” the media is making some noise about the scandal, albeit still muted, and while still pretending that some of the material may not be authentic.
Nonetheless, it is still a good thing for the Americans blinded by corporate and social media censorship, to finally learn the truth.
But that is little consolidation to John Paul Mac Isaac, whom Della Rocca represents in the latter’s defamation case against Twitter.
Over-counting COVID deaths and using the mandate to distract from Afghanistan: what else will Biden bungle?

Real Clear Politics reviews a recent Full Measure episode where Sharyl Attkisson explores how COVID deaths may have been over-counted by 100% or more.
“Full Measure” host Sharyl Attkisson investigates how Covid-19 cases and deaths are being counted and finds some suspicious overcounting:
This may be based on the fact that the main stream media just will not stop pounding the COVID topic. It may come from the lies that the media has been caught pushing. Or it may originate with the occasional story on how Democrats hide the truth surrounding an outbreak thought to be COVID.
Nonetheless, the Democrats in office and in the press have spent all of their trust.
Ousted Border Patrol Chief describes ‘HORRIFYING’ threats to U.S.
Rodney Scott, former U.S. Border Patrol Chief, was forced out by the Biden administration in June.
But now Scott, a 29-year veteran of the agency, is speaking out about the countless threats this administration’s lack of concern for border security presents for Americans everywhere.
In this clip, Glenn reads Scott’s powerful letter, which he recently sent to several congressmen, describing those concerns:
‘This is a national security threat.’ It’s all ‘horrifying,’ Glenn says…

Two Afghans Brought to U.S. Charged with Child Sex Crimes, Strangling Wife While Living on WI Military Base

On Wednesday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced federal charges against Afghans Bahrullah Noori, 20-years-old, and Mohammad Haroon Imaad, 32-years-old.
According to prosecutors, Noori is accused of trying to forcefully engage in sexual acts with a minor while temporarily living at Fort McCoy since being brought to the U.S. with tens of thousands of other Afghans.
Noori has also been charged with three counts of engaging in a sexual act with a minor and one count alleging the use of force.
In a separate incident, Imaad is accused by prosecutors of strangling and suffocating his wife while temporarily living at Fort McCoy after arriving in the U.S. from Afghanistan. The alleged assault apparently took place on September 7.
Pentagon: ‘We’re Aware’ of Reports of Afghan Refugees in U.S. Facing Food, Clothing Shortages, Harassing Women

He added that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is “comfortable” that Northern Command commander Air Force Gen. Glen D. VanHerck “also is mindful of these issues and will continue to work closely with our interagency partners to alleviate any concerns there might be.”
Kirby said military base commanders are responsible for the bases, including the physical environment, housing, and sustenance issues including medical care, recreation facilities, child care, and religious accommodations.
“Our job is the housing and making sure that there’s a safe environment, a safe and secure environment, for them to complete the processing,” he said.
Asked about reports of “serious problems” at Fort McCoy, Kirby responded again that the Pentagon is ‘aware’ of the reports:
Democrats Approve $6.4B in Taxpayer Funds to Resettle 95K Afghans in U.S.

On Tuesday evening, all 220 House Democrats voted in support of a funding bill that will spend billions in taxpayer money to resettle tens of thousands of Afghans in 46 states. None of the 211 House Republicans voted in favor of the bill.
Already, refugee resettlement costs taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years. Over the course of a lifetime, taxpayers pay about $133,000 per refugee and within five years of resettlement, roughly 16 percent will need taxpayer-funded housing assistance.
The billions will go toward providing Afghans with housing assistance, covering medical costs, welfare, and driver’s licenses.

‘The Marines answered my prayer’ | Woman rescued from flood near Arlington National Cemetery reunites with Marine heroes

WASHINGTON — She said a prayer to be saved from deepening flash flood waters outside Arlington National Cemetery, as a deluge hit the District Thursday. Within 45 seconds, a bus full of U.S. Marines showed up.
“It was like they were sent from somewhere else, from a higher power,” Virginia Waller-Torres said. “I thought I could die, a truck could hit us. And it was as though, somebody heard me.”
Waller-Torres hit ‘record’ on her phone, as soon as she saw six Marines march through the water.
They were all in dress uniforms, all Marine Corps Body Bearers – an elite unit which performs funeral services within Arlington’s hallowed grounds.

National Defense Authorization Act Has Provision to Restrain U.S. Military Personnel from Owning Firearms

The provision appears under the subtitle, “Restrictions On Access To Firearms,” contained in the directives for protective orders.
It gives military courts the authority to prohibit gun possession via protective orders in two ways: 1. By giving the subject of the order an “opportunity to be heard on the order.” 2. By issuing the order ex parte.
Within 72 hours of issuance, the order is to be delivered to the Attorney General of the United States and “the Attorney General of the State or Territory in which the order is issued.”

Senate Judiciary Committee advances bipartisan antitrust bill aimed at Google, Facebook

The State Antitrust Enforcement Venue Act is sponsored by Sens. Amy Klobuchar, a Minnesota Democrat, and Mike Lee, a Utah Republican, the committee’s top antitrust legislators, both of whom are themselves attorneys.
The politicians believe the bill will prevent state antitrust cases from being moved to courts that are favored by defendants and combined with private lawsuits.
The bill is one of a several being taken up by Congress this year pertaining to antitrust regulations surrounding Big Tech.
State attorneys general widely support the bill, as well as some of the other congressional efforts to update antitrust legislation.
House passes $1 billion measure for Israel’s Iron Dome, despite lack of progressive support

Oregon Democratic Rep. Earl Blumenhaur, the presiding officer, deemed the bill passed with a simple voice vote but a request was made for a recorded yes or no vote.
The final bipartisan vote was 420-9 with two members voting present. Reps. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Marie Newman (D-Ill.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-Ill.), Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), Cori Bush (D-Mo.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) voted no. Reps. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) voted present.
Ahead of Thursday’s vote, Tlaib, a member of the progressive “Squad,” tweeted that she will “not support a standalone supplemental bill of $1 billion to replenish the bombs Israel used to commit war crimes in Gaza.” Omar also criticized the bill on Twitter.
House to now vote on ‘stand-alone’ measure for $1 billion of Israel’s Iron Dome defense system

House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro on Wednesday introduced the so-called “stand-alone” legislation for the $1 billion.
“The United States’ commitment to the security of our friend and ally Israel is ironclad,” the Connecticut Democrat said in a statement. “Replenishing interceptors used to protect Israel from attacks is our legal and moral responsibility.”
The measure as stand-alone bill is expected to pass without at least some support from the progressive caucus because Republicans in the Democrat-controlled chamber support Israel and are expect to provide enough votes for passage.

“Most of the local elected officials in South Texas are Democrats, and that’s long been a Democratic area of the state,” Cruz continued.
“I got to tell you, every elected Democrat I met with was so horrified by what’s happening at the border.
They said to me over and over again, they said, Listen, if the Democratic Party is the party of open borders, count me out. I can’t support this.”
“And it is an unfolding disaster,” he added. “And yet today’s Washington Democrats, there’s not a single one of them who cares.
California governor signs bill targeting Amazon warehouse quotas

The legislation is the first to target a central facet of working at an Amazon warehouse, where the company has long used performance quotas to gauge worker productivity as it has gradually sped up shipping times.
Gov. Newsom, a Democrat, signed the bill about two weeks after it was approved by state lawmakers.
The new law will bar companies from enforcing quotas and penalties that affect employees’ health and safety, including the ability to take breaks or use the bathroom.
It will also require companies to disclose their quotas and work-pace requirements to employees and state agencies.

Workers Without Vaccine Passport Won’t be Paid in Italy

The government decree will order an estimated 23 million Italian public and private sector workers to present the coronavirus passport known as the Green Pass to be eligible to work.
Some had expressed concern the decree would force those without the Green Pass to be suspended or fired.
But on Wednesday, officials announced that while those who do not comply with the mandate will not be able to come to work, they will only be considered to have taken an unjustified absence and have pay withheld, Il Giornale reports.
The obligation for Italian workers to show the Green Pass will start on October 15th and be enforced until December 31st.
Illegal Boat Migrant Crossings Hit New Monthly Record of 3,872

Barely three weeks into September, 3,872 illegals have reached Britain, higher than the last record of July when 3,509 arrived.
The Home Office said per a Times report that 459 illegals — mostly Africans — had crossed the stretch of water between Britain and France in 14 boats on Tuesday, taking the total already for 2021 to 16,299, itself a record and nearly double that for the whole of 2020.
The few past weeks had seen another ignominious record, when in the seven days up to September 10th saw more illegals land than in the whole of 2019 — 1,959 compared to 1,890.

NEW TEAM IN WASHINGTON: BEYOND TOKENISM
Biden’s team includes a number of “firsts”.

It is the first US Cabinet in which those classified by “progressives” as “white men” are in a minority. According to the CIA World Factbook, “whites” account for just over 73 percent of the total US population, while the segment of citizenship labeled as WASPS (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) has dropped to under 47 percent.
Biden’s team is composed of figures from the various ethnic or religious communities that furnished almost 50 percent of the votes that pushed Biden to the top of the greasy pole. Progressive commentators in the US speak of a rainbow coalition of minorities which provides the backbone of the Democratic Party with Biden’s pledge of defeating “white supremacists” as the chief slogan.
But what does the term “minority” mean in a democracy based on equal citizenship for all? The term minority denotes “less-ness” compared to the “more-ness” of another entity. However, how could one regard some citizens of a democratic state as “less” than other fellow citizens?
For from being progressive, in a democracy like the United States, dividing the citizens on the basis of ethnicity is a reactionary position that belongs to pre-modern societies. Ancient Greeks understood the difference between ethnos and demos.
