Virginia high school teacher says making kids behave in class is ‘white supremacy’
The teacher called the techniques that help reduce disruptive student behavior “white supremacy with a hug.”
“It’s things like making sure that you’re following directions, and making sure that you’re sitting quietly, and you are in your seat — and all these things that come from white culture,” he said in the video, which is being widely shared online after being saved before he deleted it.
“The idea of just sitting quiet and being told stuff and taking things in in a passive stance, is not a thing that’s in many cultures,” Thompson claimed.
“So if we’re positively enforcing these behaviors, we are by extension positively enforcing elements of white culture,” he claimed with a smug smile.
Minnesota Supreme Court overturns Mohamed Noor’s murder conviction
Minnesota’s Supreme Court has overturned the murder conviction of rookie Minneapolis cop Mohamed Noor on a legal technicality and ordered his sentence to be reduced, four years after he shot dead Australian-American woman Justine Damond outside her home.
The court upheld Noor’s manslaughter conviction and ordered him to be resentenced, agreeing with his attorneys on a technicality that the specific wording of the ‘depraved mind’ murder charge he was convicted of.
He is currently two years into a 12.5 year sentence. It’s unclear how much his sentence will be lowered by, but it is likely to be less than the ten years he was facing.
Ten years is the maximum sentence for second degree manslaughter. There is no minimum.

Protesters chanted the name of Mike Rosado — a Bronx man who died last month in a shootout with police, the cable network noted — and a megaphone-toting officer told the protesters they were being arrested for disorderly conduct.
Some major scuffles broke out, with officers restraining a protester while the crowd told cops to “let go of her!” Fox News said.
But one of the more eye-catching and ear-catching moments occurred when at least two of the protesters called a black cop the N-word, after which the officer had to be restrained by his colleagues and was led away from the conflict.
FCC not ruling out steps to expand broadband access, chair says at POLITICO Tech Summit
The head of the Federal Communications Commission left the door open on Wednesday to taking further actions to ensure everyone has broadband access — including price regulation and combating “digital redlining.”
“We’re going to have to study every tool we have,” acting Chair Jessica Rosenworcel said in a one-on-one interview during POLITICO’s Tech Summit.
Rosenworcel said the agency is “laser-like focused on getting this service to everyone, everywhere,” and that it is trying to take a broader approach to the issue than the FCC had in the past.
Top U.S. general in Afghanistan contradicts Biden’s claim
In a closed briefing Tuesday, the Washington Times reported, Gen. Austin Scott Miller told the Senate Armed Services Committee that he registered his dissent directly to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin; Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., the head of U.S. Central Command.
After the briefing Tuesday, Sen. James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, the committee’s ranking Republican, said “we heard enough to know that there are inconsistencies between what the administration has said and the truth.”
“Clearly President Biden didn’t listen to all military advice,” Inhofe said.
Inhofe said Miller didn’t express his dissent directly to Biden “because the president wasn’t there” at the meeting of the top chain of command.

LEGO Introduces ‘Queer Eye’ Toy Set Inspired by the Netflix Show
The LEGO set, “Queer Eye — The Fab 5 Loft,” features each member of the “Fab Five” inside a decorated loft. “Get ready to be your true self as you join the Fab 5 for a rewarding building project with this LEGO® Queer Eye,” LEGO said in an announcement.
“As you recreate all the details that make up the interior of the Fab 5’s original Atlanta loft, you’ll discover lots of features from the show with tributes to each of the Fab 5’s special talents,” the company added.
The company also uploaded a video to its social media account featuring LEGO versions of the Fab Five that mimics the intro to Queer Eye.
Cartoon Network, HBO Max Target Preschoolers with Woke Animated Shows
The new programming slate, called “Cartoonito,” debuted Monday on both the Cartoon Network and HBO Max, which are divisions of WarnerMedia.
In a press release, WarnerMedia said all “Cartoonito” preschool content will align with Cartoon Network’s recently announced tagline “Redraw Your World,” which aims to “empower kids to feel comfortable with who they are, embrace their uniqueness and believe anything is possible.”
WarnerMedia also said the programming will be based on something called “Humancentric Learning,” which it vaguely defined as the endeavor to “support every child’s humanness by celebrating their unique selves and encouraging them to interact with others with empathy, respect, and fairness.”

The Democrat governor’s warm welcome follows reports the Biden administration brought Afghans to the United States who were “flagged for suspected associations with terrorists,” according to the Washington Post:
Already, Biden has brought 48,000 Afghans into the United States since August 17, or roughly 2,300 Afghans to the U.S. every day over the last three weeks.
Further, some of the Afghans brought back to the U.S. were previously deported with prior felony convictions, “one for a 2010 sexual assault and the other for an armed robbery in 2011,” according to the Post.
Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) has also expressed concern over the resettlement.
Analysis: Afghan Population in U.S. Explodes, Majority Live on Welfare
New analysis from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals that the number of Afghans living in the U.S. has shot up to 133,000 in 2019 — more than three times the 44,000 Afghans who lived in the U.S. before the start of the Afghanistan War in 2001.
California remains home to the largest Afghan population in the U.S. with about 54,000 Afghans residing in the state, while about 24,000 live in Virginia and 10,000 live in Texas.
Likewise, the number of Afghan immigrant households that live in or near the U.S. poverty line is close to 51 percent. This is significantly higher than that of households headed by native-born Americans, where about 27 percent live in or near poverty.
Where Afghan immigrants do beat native-born Americans is in birth rates. In 2019, for instance, native-born American women had about 56 births per 1,000 compared to Afghan immigrant women who had 155 births percent 1,000.
This indicates that Afghan women in the U.S. have nearly three times the birth rate of native-born American women.

The brief video shows the entire span of the international bridge that sits on the United States-side of the border being used to provide shelter for mostly Haitian migrants. Water tanks and portable outdoor toilets are in place as hundreds of migrants arrive on a daily basis.
The situation developing for the Border Patrol continues to worsen by the hour. On Monday, the number of migrants under the bridge reached 2,000.
According to the source, the Border Patrol does not have available indoor detention space to accommodate the hundreds arriving daily. The agency attempts to free space through transfers to other facilities or releases to nonprofit shelters. Either option requires buses and drivers, which are in short supply.
The makeshift camp sits on U.S. Customs and Border Protection property beyond the border fence and is not accessible or visible to the public. The detainees at the camp are not on any official detention rolls and have not been booked into official processing programs.
Democrats Open Amnesty Plan to Illegal Gang Members, Sex Offenders
On Monday, during a mark-up hearing for the Democrats’ budget reconciliation, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee voted against amendments that would prevent illegal alien gang members, convicted sex offenders, convicted drunk drivers, and those convicted of firearm or explosive offenses from securing a green card, and eventually naturalized American citizenship, as part of the amnesty plan.
Specifically, Democrats opposed an amendment that would have barred illegal alien gang members from receiving the amnesty included in their budget reconciliation. Additionally, they rejected an amendment that would have barred illegal alien sex offenders from receiving the amnesty.
Democrats went as far as to oppose an amendment that would have barred illegal aliens with 10 or more drunk driving convictions from receiving the amnesty. They also voted down amendments that would have prevented illegal aliens with one or more, as well as two more, drunk driving convictions from receiving the amnesty. Nadler said in their defense:

The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has sent a private warning to the chief of Afghan evacuation operations that measles is spreading among refugees and poses a “major public health threat” that includes the potential for “larger imminent outbreaks” in U.S. communities already reeling from the coronavirus.
“The large number of unvaccinated Afghan evacuees as seen already has the potential to seed countless U.S. community outbreaks,” Walensky warned in the four-page memo obtained by Just the News.
“Immediate implementation of CDC public health standards is imperative to prevent introduction of measles into US communities and to respond to multiple concurrent measles outbreaks,” Walensky wrote.

Former acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, who led the Pentagon from the period after the 2020 election through Inauguration Day, said that he “did not and would not ever authorize” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to have “secret” calls with his Chinese counterpart, describing the allegations as a “disgraceful and unprecedented act of insubordination,” and calling on him to resign “immediately.”
In a statement to Fox News, Miller said that the United States Armed Forces, from its inception, has “operated under the inviolable principle of civilian control of the military.”
But Fox News spoke with multiple individuals who were in the room during the two phone calls Milley had with Li. The calls, in October, were coordinated with then-Defense Secretary Mark Esper’s office.
“They were not secret,” a U.S. official told Fox News about the calls, which took place over video teleconference.

We said yes to inclusion. We said yes to pluralism. We said yes to all those things that we hold dear as Californians, and I would argue, as Americans.”
“Economic justice, social justice, racial justice, environmental justice are values where California has made so much progress. All of those things were on the ballot this evening,” he added.
Newsom went on to thank the voters for rejecting cynicism, negativity, and divisive politics. At one point, the governor nearly teared up as he recalled his 12-year-old son and the other children his age who are witnessing an America so divided.

North Korea launches two ballistic missiles toward Japan; missiles land in international waters between Japan, Korean Peninsula
In a statement released Wednesday, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said in a statement that it is “aware of the missile launch and are consulting closely with our allies and partners.”
“While we have assessed that this event does not pose an immediate threat to U.S. personnel or territory, or to our allies, the missile launch highlights the destabilizing impact of the DPRK’s illicit weapons program,” the statement continued.
“The U.S. commitment to the defense of the Republic of Korea and Japan remains ironclad.”
“The firings threaten the peace and safety of Japan and the region and are absolutely outrageous,” said Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, according to The Associated Press. “The government of Japan is determined to further step up our vigilance and surveillance to be prepared for any contingencies.”
S. Korea succeeds in testing ballistic missile launch from submarine: Cheong Wa Dae
President Moon Jae-in inspected the firing at a local test center of the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), hours after North Korea lobbed two ballistic missiles into the East Sea.
The SLBM was fired from the 3,000-ton-class Dosan Ahn Chang-ho submarine at the ADD Anheung Test Center in South Chungcheong Province.
It flew a planned distance and precisely hit a target, Moon’s office said.
“Possessing SLBM is very meaningful in terms of securing deterrence against omnidirectional threats and it is expected to play a big role in self-reliant national defense and establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula, going forward,” it said in a statement.
