9/11 anniversary: ‘I was burning alive’ – Survivors of September 11 attacks describe how they narrowly avoided being killed

It’s almost 20 years since the September 11 attacks but for many survivors, the pain and trauma are still raw.
Some were left with life-changing physical injuries, while many still struggle with the mental torment caused by the events of that day.
One of the most severely injured survivors, Lauren Manning, suffered burns to more than 80% of her body.
“By any medical standard, I should have died,” she tells Sky News.
Lauren had just entered the World Trade Center’s North Tower when the first hijacked plane crashed into the building, sending a fireball hurtling down a lift shaft and into the lobby.
Elderly Texas Border Resident Claims Migrants Sexually Assaulted Her at Home

The woman reportedly told authorities she heard a window break before she found three suspects in the home. The woman, who lives within a mile of the Rio Grande, told authorities she believes the perpetrators were migrants from Central America, based on their accents and appearances.
Deputies report the woman complained about stolen food and money from her purse. The woman was later transported to San Antonio for medical examination and evidence collection.
Despite a search conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies, the suspects remain at large. The number of criminal migrants and gang members arrested by Border Patrol has risen 265 percent compared to 2020.
Operation Lone Star Nets 5K Criminal Arrests, 1500 Firearms near Texas Border

Along state highways, back roads, and the banks of the Rio Grande, state troopers and Texas Army National Guard personnel are sometimes the only law enforcement officers visible.
In March 2021, Governor Greg Abbott announced Operation Lone Star would commence in response to an increase in migrant crossings, human smuggling, and narcotics trafficking. The operation involves the deployment of more than 1,000 state police and National Guardsmen to the immediate border area.
The operation continues in full swing nearly six months later. Despite the increased presence of the troopers and guardsmen, lax federal immigration policies have caused the flow to continue almost unabated.
WATCH: Armed Robber Takes $100,000 in Jewelry from NYC Store

The Daily Mail notes the suspect walked into the store “in a grey sweatshirt and face mask with a pizza delivery backpack and Target bag.”
The suspect then made demands, allegedly fired a round into the wall, and set the Target back on the counter so store personnel could fill it with jewels.
The video, published by NYPD Crime Stoppers, appears to show the suspect pointing out which jewelry items he wanted the victims to place in the bag:
Watch: Donald Trump Releases Video Commemorating 20th Anniversary of 9/11

The video features highlights from his four live presidential speeches memorializing the attacks of 9/11 and the heroic response from America’s first responders.
It also highlights footage of Trump’s own personal reaction on September 11, in New York after the attacks.
The video was published on Trump’s Save America PAC website.
Federal Appeals Court Rejects Abortion Businesses’ Request to Block Texas Abortion Ban

The Texas abortion ban can keep saving unborn children from abortions. That’s the result of a ruling issued today by a three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which rejected another request by abortion businesses to stop the Texas abortion ban.
Two weeks after issuing an administrative stay temporarily blocking Texas abortion companies from stopping the Texas abortion ban while their lawsuit against it continues, Judges Jones, Duncan and Engelhardt issued a 20-page opinion granting a stay pending an expedited appeal. That blocks the pro-abortion lawsuit further and ensures the pro-life law will stay in effect until the court examines the underlying lawsuit.
Essentially they ruled that because the law provides for a private right of action as opposed to enforcement by the state attorney general,. the abortion centers can’t stop the law.
Politico Published 20 Stories About Trump’s Taxes And Only 1 About Joe Biden’s

President Joe Biden helped contribute to the deterioration in Medicare’s finances.
By using a questionable tax loophole to avoid payroll taxes on more than $13.5 million in income from 2017 through 2020, Biden and his wife Jill dodged nearly $395,000 in Medicare taxes, along with more than $122,000 in taxes that fund Obamacare.
But you won’t find any mention of this in corporate media, so I decided to do a little digging to find out how and why.
That story spent many more paragraphs talking about Trump not releasing his taxes (seven) than it did about Biden’s questionable use of this tax loophole (one).
Therefore, some may consider what initially looks like a 20-to-1 disparity of stories about Trump’s taxes vis-à-vis Biden’s more like a 21-to-1, or 21-to-0, gap.

Ben Carson derides critical race theory at Loudoun rally, says it will ‘erase’ racial progress made by US

“Tremendous progress has been made, and this critical race theory is trying to erase that progress and send us back in the other direction – and we cannot allow that to happen,” Carson said.
“There are some on the left who say, ‘Ugh, everything’s the same. We haven’t made any progress.’ But I’ve got to tell you, when I was a kid and a Black person would come on television – who wasn’t in a servile role – it was exciting. Everybody would call everybody. We’d come in and watch … And now, you have Black generals and admirals and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and university presidents – even Ivy League schools.”
“We’ve had a Black president of the United States, a Black vice president – not doing a good job, but nevertheless,” he added, taking a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris.
Pfizer sets race-based hiring goals in the name of fighting ‘systemic racism,’ ‘gender equity challenges’

According to Pfizer’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Report 2020, published in March 2021, the company set “opportunity parity goals” for 2025.
“We now have quotas, basically, in hiring and promotions,” explained a current Pfizer employee, who spoke with Fox News on condition of anonymity. An internal Pfizer document – which the employee shared with Fox News – further broke down the quotas.
“We will increase the representation of US minorities at the VP+ level from 28% to 33%, and specifically, we will double representation of Black colleagues from 5% to 50% and increase representation of Hispanic/Latino colleagues from 9% to 10% by 2025,” the document states (emphasis original). The company also announced that it would “launch a Biopharma Advancement Program for Black and Hispanic/Latino U.S. Top Talent Senior Directors, to accelerate their readiness to achieve the next leadership level.”
Abortions increased in at least 21 states during 2019: report

The number of abortions increased in more than 20 states alongside a rise in its chemical or pill form, according to a new report.
The pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) posted data Friday showing that 21 states saw increases in abortions while 17 saw declines from 2018 numbers. Overall, the 39 states with available data underwent a collective increase of 2.3%.
The biggest drops occurred in Missouri (-49.5%) and West Virginia (-21.5%), which CLI said could have been the result of recently enacted pro-life measures. Meanwhile, substantial increases were observed in Delaware (21.3%), Idaho (20.4%), Iowa (25.2%) and Kentucky (14.4%).
Witness says R. Kelly kept her locked up before sex assault

She was an unsuspecting radio station intern in 2003 when she pursued what she thought would be a career-making interview with a R&B superstar — R. Kelly.
Instead, she had a horrific experience while locked in a darkened room for days, she’s now testified years later in lurid detail. She said she still lives with a strong belief she was drugged and violated by Kelly while she was unconscious.
“I was sexually assaulted,” the woman told jurors on Thursday at Kelly’s sex-trafficking trial. “It wasn’t something I invited.”
The witness, who testified without using her real name, became the latest in a string of accusers to take the witness stand against Kelly since the trial began in New York City on Aug. 18.
LA Times downplays racially charged attack on GOP gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder with misleading tweets

First the liberal newspaper tweeted, “Larry Elder cuts short Venice homeless encampment tour after hostile reception,” without mentioning that the Black Republican was attacked by a White person in a gorilla mask.
The L.A. Times then followed up with another shocking tweet when reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating the attack on Elder.
“LAPD is investigating altercation involving Larry Elder at Venice homeless encampment,” the Times tweet alongside a photo of Elder touching the face of a female supporter. The image makes it appear the “altercation involving” Elder involves him slapping a woman, but the GOP gubernatorial candidate was actually the victim.
Larry Elder was victim of ‘hate crime’ caused by ‘woke privilege,’ LA County sheriff says

“QUESTION: How is this not a hate crime? ANSWER: Because “woke privilege” means a white woman can wear a gorilla mask and attack a black man without fear of being called a racist. Where is the outrage from our politicians?” Villanueva, a Democrat, tweeted on Thursday.
Villanueva said he plans to investigate the attack as a hate crime because the woman wore a gorilla mask, the Washington Examiner reported.
Newsom has remained silent on the attack and has yet to respond to Fox News’ question on whether he would condemn the attack.
The Los Angeles Police Departments’ Robbery-Homicide Division is also investigating because of its high-profile nature, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Missouri city police chief ‘unexpectedly’ resigns along with every single officer

The reasons for the resignations include there not being a police clerk to assist the department, not having qualified officers in the department, the pay rate, and new opportunities, KY3 reported.
“I didn’t know there were that many openings in Branson West because we didn’t see an advertisement for police,” Kimberling City Mayor Bob Fritz said, referring to Alexander and officer Shaun McCafferty taking jobs at the Branson West Police Department.
The mayor said the resignations were “unexpected and the short notice disappointing.”
Gregg Jarrett Blasts Biden’s Sweeping Vaccination Mandate

Gregg Jarrett joined Fox News’ Sean Hannity to discuss the legal ramifications of Biden’s sweeping vaccine mandates, and there are many. Biden’s order could affect roughly 100 million Americans, resulting in Republican Governors across the country speaking out against Biden.
Hannity begins, asking Jarrett “you’re the lawyer, you tell me, how many challenges do you see?”
“You’re going to have thousands of challenges” Jarrett states bluntly. “Biden’s combination of orders that he’s issuing now is guaranteed to trigger an explosion of legal challenges, a landslide of litigation that’s going to clog courts everywhere across America.”
Turley says Ron Klain’s vaccine retweet is legal issue for Biden: ‘Breathtakingly daft’

“Courts will now be asked to ignore the admission and uphold a self-admitted evasion of constitutional limits,” Turley added. The “problem is that the thing being ‘worked around’ is the Constitution.”
Turley’s comment came in response to Klain retweeting MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Thursday, who tweeted: “OSHA doing this vaxx mandate as an emergency workplace safety rule is the ultimate work-around for the Federal govt to require vaccinations.”
“Klain effectively became a witness for the challengers in labeling the order an evasion or subterfuge designed for the courts. Klain leaves the courts in the unenviable position of ratifying an order that the Administration admits is a mere work around to evade constitutional limits.
It is akin to claiming self-defense in an assault case while saying that it was the best way to shoot the guy,” Turley said.
The ACLU, Prior to COVID, Denounced Mandates and Coercive Measures to Fight Pandemics

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) surprised even many of its harshest critics this week when it strongly defended coercive programs and other mandates from the state in the name of fighting COVID. “Far from compromising them, vaccine mandates actually further civil liberties,” its Twitter account announced, adding that “vaccine requirements also safeguard those whose work involves regular exposure to the public.”
If you were surprised to see the ACLU heralding the civil liberties imperatives of “vaccine mandates” and “vaccine requirements” — whereby the government coerces adults to inject medicine into their own bodies that they do not want — the New York Times op-ed which the group promoted, written by two of its senior lawyers, was even more extreme.
The op-ed sounds like it was written by an NSA official justifying the need for mass surveillance (yes, fine, your privacy is important but it is not absolute; your privacy rights are outweighed by public safety; we are spying on you for your own good). And the op-ed appropriately ends with this perfect Orwellian flourish: “We care deeply about civil liberties and civil rights for all — which is precisely why we support vaccine mandates.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott Signs Bill Fighting Social Media Censorship

The law designates the Masters of the Universe as common carriers, a crucial legal distinction in the fight against political censorship.
The bill was introduced earlier in the year but was delayed when Democrat members of the Texas House of Representatives broke quorum and fled the state to block another bill introduced by Republicans, aimed at protecting voter integrity.
At a press conference, Gov. Abbott said the bill aimed to stop the trend of giant social media companies silencing conservatives.
“There is a dangerous movement by some social media companies to silence conservative ideas and values,” said Gov. Abbott. “This is wrong and we will not allow it in Texas.”
Hypocrisy: D.C. Mayor Caught Violating Mask Mandate Again

Bowser posted the picture herself on social media in which she and eight others were not wearing masks:
Her post quickly drew criticism from others on social media, saying, “Thank you for #followingthescience and ending the indoor mask mandate.” Some asking if the mask mandate ended as the major herself was able to be inside maskless.
The first time she was caught maskless, less than 24 hours after reimposing the indoor mask mandate for the vaccinated and unvaccinated, Bowser celebrated her 49th birthday and officiated a wedding at The Line DC, a hotel in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, according to reports:

Hurricane Reconstruction
Hurricane Ida devastated parts of America. Politicians from the areas hit now want hundreds of billions of dollars in aid.
When disaster strikes, the federal government definitely has a role because the feds control resources like the military and other first responders.
But why is rebuilding afterwards the federal government’s responsibility? Until recently, businesses and charities handled most disaster response.
The private sector does a better job than government. Federal rebuilding creates moral hazards that lead to expectations of even more government help.
