Runaway Texas Dem who got COVID after going maskless on private jet calls for universal face coverings

A Texas Democrat pictured prominently without a mask on a private jet last week fleeing to Washington, D.C. is now calling for universal face coverings regardless of vaccination status after she and five others in the group tested positive for COVID-19.

Texas State Representative Michelle Beckley released a video from her $200-per-night hotel room in the nation’s capital where she called herself ‘brave’ for fleeing Texas to stop Republicans’ from passing two voter rights bills.

It’s estimated the cost to keep the few dozen lawmakers in D.C. through the special legislative session, which ends August 7, sits around $1.5 million, according to one of the Texas Democrats.

The FBI failed Olympic gymnasts

We are often horribly reminded how our most trusted institutions are staffed and controlled by corrupt people, who are at the very least unethical.

This was demonstrated again with the release of the Department of Justice’s inspector general’s damning report about how the Federal Bureau of Investigation handled the case of former USA Gymnastics doctor, the infamous Larry Nassar.

His sexual abuse of girls training to become our gymnastic Olympians continued for years, even after the FBI was informed of the crimes.

What the FBI didn’t do after being informed of the serial sexual abuse of little girls should shock the conscience of everyone.

The report reveals our premier federal law enforcement agency pushed aside and ignored a massive operation involving serial sexual assault of dozens of girls. The details are straightforward:

A group of state attorneys general unveiled on Wednesday a landmark, $26 billion settlement resolving claims that the three largest U.S. drug distributors and drugmaker Johnson & Johnson helped fuel a deadly nationwide opioid epidemic.

Under the settlement proposal, distributors McKesson Corp., Cardinal Health Inc., and AmerisourceBergen Corp. are expected to pay a combined $21 billion, while Johnson & Johnson would pay $5 billion.

The money from the distributors will be paid out over the next 18 years. J&J will pay over nine years, with up to $3.7 billion paid during the first three years.

Michael Taylor, 60, the father and a former U.S. Green Beret, received a sentence of two years from the three-judge panel on Monday in a hearing in Tokyo that lasted about 20 minutes. His 28-year-old son, Peter Taylor, was handed a 20-month sentence.

“This case enabled Ghosn, a defendant of a serious crime, to escape overseas,” Chief Judge Hideo Nirei said.

Noting that Ghosn has no intention of returning to Japan, he added: “A year and a half has passed, but there is no prospect of the trial being held.”

The $860,000 in payments the Taylors received from Ghosn, part of which was used to fund the former executive’s travel, showed the Taylors’ “main motive was compensation,” Nirei said.

ESPN said the American players looked “confused” and “rattled.”

It wasn’t as if Team USA was alone in its kneeling protest. The Swedish players all took a knee, too — as did a referee, Yahoo Sports said.

“They stayed there for about 10 seconds with pregame music still playing in the background,” the outlet noted. “They then rose, and a short in-stadium countdown to kickoff commenced.”

At one facility in Eagle Pass, a soft sided structure was constructed to help deal with the current crisis and has yielded unprecedented migrant traffic levels. The source notes the newer facility is currently 200 percent over the COVID capacity standard.

The facility is more than 300 detainees over its 500-max capacity. Several sites are dealing with COVID-19 positive detainees who need isolation, according to the source.

The current level of apprehensions made in the Del Rio Sector is the highest in 20 years. The sector arrested more than 149,000 migrants since October 2020.

The Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector is second only to the Rio Grande Valley in apprehensions. Del Rio is showing a 500 percent increase in apprehensions over the previous year.

Shoplifters hit Los Angeles area TJ Maxx, casually leave store carrying heap of stolen goods

“They didn’t even run out, they walked out,” Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jerretta Sandoz told CBS LA of the incident. “And so, that’s sending a message that we, the criminals, are winning.”

The video was recently filmed at a TJ Maxx in Granada Hills and shows two men leaving the store with their arms packed with clothing and other items, with one of the men carrying a large duffle bag that appears to be full of items.

Sandoz, who serves as vice president of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, said she blames the incident on Prop 47, a 2014 referendum that lowered criminal sentences on crimes such as shoplifting.

“If they’re caught, they’re probably given the equivalent of a traffic ticket,” she told CBS LA. “So it’s not taken seriously.”

GOP Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert demands Justice Department explain why Capitol rioters are being charged and jailed while BLM rioters who attacked federal buildings are NOT

In a letter, Boebert and 10 other Republican representatives asked US Attorney General Merrick Garland to address what they called an ‘inconsistent application of the law with respect to rioters across the country.’

The letter claims Oregon prosecutors signed off on at least a dozen ‘deferred resolution agreements in federal felony cases’ from clashes in last year’s BLM protests, while some Capitol rioters have been held in solitary confinement.

The US Attorney’s Office in Portland brought federal charges against 96 people who were accused of crimes including assaulting federal officers, civil disorder, and failing to obey.

Boebert and the other members of Congress cited a Politico story from April which reported that the newly installed Biden administration and the changes in policies and personnel at the Justice Department resulted in more lenient treatment of the BLM protesters.

McCarthy says Pelosi ‘has broken this institution’ by denying GOP picks for Jan. 6 select committee

“It’s an egregious abuse of power. Pelosi has broken this institution. Denying the voice of members who have served in the military – Jim Banks, a Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan,” McCarthy continued. “As well as a leader of a standing committee. Jim Jordan isn’t ranking of just his first committee, he’s done it before.”

McCarthy’s fiery comments followed a statement in which he said Republicans will completely boycott the select committee if Pelosi, D-Calif., does not allow all five of his picks, including Jordan, R-Ohio, and Banks, R-Ind., to be seated.

“Unless Speaker Pelosi reverses course and seats all five Republican nominees, Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts,” McCarthy said.

The First Three Things Larry Would Do As Governor (Pt. 3) | Larry Elder | POLITICS | Rubin Report

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to Larry Elder about his running for governor in the California recall election, the frightening statistics of failing schools and the housing market, how Republican governors can enact rapid change in blue states, and the real reason why Democrats are desperate to use systemic racism to get the black vote.

In this clip Larry discusses how a Republican Governor could make radical changes in a one party blue state like California by utilizing the line item veto and declaring a state of emergency in the areas that are failing the most like schools, housing and homelessness.

Larry also discusses the problems with political fundraising, setting up political action committees and the unfair incumbent advantage that Gavin Newsom has for political campaign fundraising.

CRFB Analysis: True Cost of Dems Reconciliation Bill Could Top $5.5T

The projected Democrat reconciliation bill that seeks $3.5 trillion in spending to expand the social safety net ending over the next decade could actually cost some $2 trillion more than that, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB), Fox Business reported on Wednesday.

The spending deal was announced last week and would invest billions in numerous planned health, education, environment, and social programs.

“In order to fit these proposals within a $3.5 trillion budget target, lawmakers apparently intend to have some policies expire before the end of the ten-year budget window, using this oft-criticized budget gimmick to hide their true cost,” CRFB said in the analysis, which assumed all of the policy provisions were permanent.

Cruz, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is using his position to prevent votes on Biden’s nominees from taking place due to the sanctions waiver the White House gave to a company working on a Russian gas pipeline.

“I look forward to lifting the holds just as soon as they impose the sanctions on Nord Stream 2 that are required by federal law,” Cruz told the news network.

He added that Secretary of State “Tony Blinken likes pointing out that the waiver of sanctions can be rescinded. He’s right. And that’s how they can get the holds lifted.”

The United States and Germany struck an agreement that will allow the completion of the pipeline, which will transport gas directly from Russia to Germany.

Details of the deal could be released as early as Wednesday, according to the Journal.

The Trump administration vigorously opposed the project, and Congress passed laws in 2019 and 2020 that required sanctions against companies helping to build the 764-mile pipeline.

But the Biden administration waived the sanctions in May, effectively allowing the pipeline to be completed.

CRT and open borders proponent E. Tendayi Achiume, a professor at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), is the U.N. Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism.

The GOP lawmakers voiced their concerns and demanded to know why Blinken chose the pro-CRT envoy to conduct the probe in a letter sent to the secretary of state Monday. Breitbart News obtained the letter.

The Biden administration is expected to grant the U.N. officials free rein to investigate human rights abuses in America.

Blinken’s request for Achiume to participate in the U.N.’s racism investigation comes as the battle over CRT in schools has triggered nationwide tension.

The Biden administration has also been trying to impose the CRT doctrine on U.S. troops and government workers.

The House Republican Study Committee (RSC) unveiled their strategy to Fox News to call out Democrats for blocking any border wall construction or money for additional border agents in their homeland security funding plan.

Meanwhile, the largest House conservative caucus Wednesday will offer an alternative bill to buck the Biden adminstration and give money directly to states that want to continue former President Donald Trump’s fight to build the wall with Mexico.

“Steel, paid for by taxpayers, is sitting rusting on the ground,” Banks wrote of the border wall situation.

“Federal contractors have already received taxpayer dollars and are literally being paid by the Biden administration not to build the wall.”

Biden admin walks back ties to group pushing critical race theory in schools

“The Department does not endorse the recommendations of this group, nor do they reflect our policy positions,” the Department of Education (DOE) said in a statement. “It was an error in a lengthy document to include this citation.”

DOE linked to the Abolitionist Teaching Network’s “Guide for Racial Justice & Abolitionist Social and Emotional Learning” in its handbook intended as a “roadmap” for schools to reopen safely during the coronavirus pandemic.

While the Abolitionist Teaching Network, co-founded last year by author and professor Bettina Love, does not explicitly mention critical race theory in its guide promoted by the Biden administration, the idea that racism is not aberrational and that America’s institutions are inherently racist are commonly held tenets of the theory.
