Kerry: US Must End Climate ‘Suicide Pact’ by Cooperating With Beijing
Biden climate czar John Kerry said in a Tuesday speech that the United States must end its “suicide pact” with China by cooperating with the Communist regime on climate change.
Kerry told listeners that the only way to calm tensions with Beijing is through cooperation on climate change, even as the United States and China compete on human rights, trade, and the future of democratic Taiwan.
“It is not a mystery that China and the U.S. have many differences,” Kerry said. “But on climate, cooperation is the only way to break free from the world’s current mutual suicide pact.”
Kerry’s own remarks, however, could stand in the way of such a goal. The former secretary of state admitted to lawmakers in May that Uyghur slave labor fuels green energy supply chains, potentially complicating climate cooperation efforts.
Franklin Graham sends Big Tech a warning straight from Bible: ‘This reminds me of the Tower of Babel’
“Silicon Valley and the big tech companies are working on Artificial Intelligence, and some believe AI can one day answer all of the questions of life,” Graham posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday along with a link to an essay from The New York Times magazine with the provocative title, “Can Silicon Valley Find God?”
“I’ve got news for them,” he said. “The Creator of life, the Giver of life, the Sustainer of life, the One with all the answers is Almighty God.”
Graham said the Old Testament has a message for those who think they can be as powerful as God.
“This reminds me of the Tower of Babel, in the Old Testament, when men got together and thought they could build a tower to reach Heaven,” he wrote.
Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio Pleads Guilty to Burning Black Lives Matter Banner
Henry Tarrio, better known as Enrique Tarrio, pleaded guilty in two separate cases filed dealing with events that transpired in Washington in December 2020 and early January.
Proud Boys members were the prime suspects in the destruction of a large “Black Lives Matter” sign that was on the lawn of Asbury United Methodist Church. The destruction, captured on videos that were posted on Twitter, took place on Dec. 13, 2020.
Tarrio was originally charged with two counts of possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device and destruction of property.
Accepting a plea deal, the 37-year-old Miami, Florida resident pleaded guilty to destruction of property and attempted possession of a large-capacity ammunition feeding device, court records showed.
Top Republicans flock to GETTR, Jason Miller’s new social media platform
The social media platform launched last month by former Donald Trump adviser Jason Miller is boasting a host of high-level Republican officials joining its site.
Among the major names in Congress who have signed up are House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), as well as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and an array of others.
GETTR has been pitched as a competitor to Twitter, which has been criticized for broad censorship and blocking access to legitimate news stories, such as The Post’s bombshell reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The launch of GETTR comes at time when the Biden administration has been criticized for trying to influence social media networks like Facebook to censor what the White House deems “misinformation.”
Report: Facebook Is Paying Massive ‘Licensing Fees’ to Media Titans
None of these organizations can be said to be in need of money. The Washington Post’s subscription revenue was reportedly “in the nine figures” as of 2017.
The New York Times took home $598.3 million in subscription revenue in 2020. Bloomberg is a giant in the world of finance and media, with over $10 billion in annual revenue.
News Corp is an international media empire with over $9 billion in revenue in 2020. These are the companies that Facebook believes need handouts.
The exact sums received by the companies are unknown, but the former CEO of the New York Times is quoted as saying it receives “far, far more” from Facebook than what previous reports have claimed.
Facebook isn’t the only company pouring money into news companies. Last year, Google announced $1 billion for news publishers in Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia, Argentina, and Brazil.
In 2018, Google-owned YouTube announced it would spend $300 million to fund “authoritative” sources of news, and artificially promote them to users through its algorithm.
Rochester’s Democrat Mayor Lovely Warren to be Arraigned on Weapons Charges
WHEC reports Warren and her husband “have been charged with criminal possession of a firearm, which is a Class E felony.”
They also face “two counts of failure to lock/secure firearms in a dwelling.”
The Monroe County District Attorney indicates the Warren home was searched by New York State Police on May 19 and officers discovered a “Standard Manufacturing STD-15 rifle and a Kal-Tec P-40 pistol.” Neither weapon was registered to Warren or her husband.
Additionally, Warren and her husband face charges of “endangering the welfare of a child” because a 10-year-old child was found in the home alone when officers arrived.
13WHAM points out Warren has used the fight against “illegal weapons…as a platform” during her time in office.
Report: Massive COVID Spike Erupts Among Detained Immigrants as Biden’s Border Crisis Continues
The number of migrant detainees who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Rio Grande Valley sector of Texas has soared by 900 percent this month, according to a new report.
Fox News reported, “There were 135 detainees who tested positive in the first two weeks of July alone, marking a 900% increase in confirmed positive cases compared to the previous 14 months.”
The report added, “The RGV sector is one of the main destinations for migrants crossing the border, seeing more than [2,000] apprehensions each day and accounting for 60% of confirmed positive detainees in the U.S. Border Patrol custody.”
George Soros and Bill Gates Just Teamed Up to Buy a COVID Company
A release on the foundation’s website said the purchase creates “Global Access Health (GAH), a social enterprise that will seek to expand access to affordable state-of-the-art medical technology through decentralized research, development, and manufacturing in and for the Global South.”
About $41 million will be ponied up by the buyers, which include the Soros Economic Development Fund and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The release said that the company’s technology can be used to address tropical diseases such as dengue, bilharzia and river blindness in addition to COVID-19.
Bill Gates funded way to record vaccine history under skin at same time vaccine is delivered
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has provided funding for a project that aims to record a patient’s vaccination history by injecting dye under the skin.
In announcing the process via a Massachusetts Institute of Technology news release in December 2019, its inventors suggested the injection method was mainly to aid developing countries where traditional medical records are rare or do not exist.
Tests on cadaver skin show the dye can emit light for up to five years, MIT researchers said.
But researchers anticipate an expansion of this technology’s use in the future.

Police rescue dog from hot car after owner dies in fatal Walmart shooting
According to KNWA-TV, 33-year-old Tanner Stichka was shot when an altercation broke out after he approached a van in front of the store that was reportedly making a pharmaceutical delivery.
Unbeknownst to first responders, Stichka’s dog was still in his parked car, waiting for his owner to return. As temperatures for the days neared the 90s, someone noticed the dog in the car and called police.
Many who knew the victim or had seen Zeke at the store commented to express their relief that the dog was picked up and cared for so well.
Shock Photos: Smuggler Busted For 105 Illegal Immigrants Packed Into Truck, Border Explodes
Shocking photos and video obtained by Fox News journalist Bill Melugin on Monday show chaotic scenes at the border and an alleged human smuggler bringing 105 illegal immigrants across the border via a packed truck.
Melugin highlighted the “massive group” of hundreds of migrants arriving at the southern border, coming mostly from Haiti.
Video also captured in Del Rio shows adult male migrants trying to force their way across the border.
“A large majority of the migrants, including single adult men, have been let into the United States and taken into custody,” he said. “At least 200+ have been taken away in buses. More still coming, more still waiting.”
Hundreds of Immigrants Amass at Texas Border Wall, Attempt to Force Their Way Through Gate
Law enforcement officers at the border have taken 1,277,722 enforcement actions as of June this fiscal year, according to information released Friday by Customs and Border Protection.
Last month saw a 5 percent increase from the already high numbers of attempted illegal entries into the U.S. in May, the CBP reported.
“A larger-than-usual” number of migrants have attempted several illegal entries, according to the agency.
“We are in the hottest part of the summer, and we are seeing a high number of distress calls to CBP from migrants abandoned in treacherous terrain by smugglers with no regard for human life,” acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller said in a statement.

Railroad industry worried about Biden executive order
An executive order signed by President Joe Biden that could force railroads to allow other operators to use their tracks could reduce competition and increase costs, according to industry experts.
Biden’s order last week in part called on the independent Surface Transportation Board to consider what the Association of American Railroads calls “forced switching” rule.
Currently, railroad companies quote prices to their customers based on what they may have to pay competitors to get certain cars onto tracks they do not own in order to get them to their final destination.
Police Reform: Des Moines approves de-escalation, “Back the Blue” enacted
The $1.5 million police funding for the state’s largest police contingent of 362 officers includes $148,000 of de-escalation training for every member of the force. Those seminars to help the police undercut potential violence comes in the wake of legislative passage of “Back the Blue” laws.
That legislation, signed on June 17 by Gov. Kim Reynolds, extends the legal reach for police to deal with protests that turn violent. The law also provides more protection from lawsuits for police officers.
Sgt. Paul Parizek, Des Moines Police public information officer, described the attitude of law enforcement toward the new rules.

The tens of thousands of campaign dollars include limo services, luxury hotels, high-end restaurants and alcohol delivery services over the course of the second quarter, according to FEC records reviewed by Fox News.
The California congressman appears to have been driven in style with his FEC records showing the campaign spending over $10,000 on 26 rides from various limousine and luxury car services.
Swalwell’s campaign also spent over $26,000 on luxury hotels.
More than $20,000 of the campaign funds that were spent at luxury hotels went to the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay, where Swalwell’s wife has been the director of sales since February 2015, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Rasmussen Poll: Voters Agree With Trump’s Call for Election Reform
The poll came after Trump issued a statement on July 6 saying: “Election reform must happen in swing states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Arizona where voters have lost confidence in their electoral process.”
The poll, conducted on July 15 and 18, surveyed 1,000 likely voters in the U.S. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
The survey came after Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, had vetoed an election reform bill that had been passed by the GOP-held state Legislature.

Axios reported that the White House official who tested positive for the virus had attended a reception for Texas Democrats fleeing the state to block and protest election security legislation, as six of them have tested positive for the virus.
Psaki declined to characterize the visit by the Texas lawmakers as a “superspreader” event for the coronavirus and said the White House continued to support their trip and their cause.

The inspector general’s office, according to report, said the unnamed official had “received items of value from members of the media” and had “numerous unauthorized contacts with the media” between 2014 and 2016.
Describing the behavior as a violation of the FBI’s policy, the report said the FBI official had “unauthorized social engagements outside of FBI Headquarters involving drinks, lunches, and dinners.”
The official also accepted tickets from media members to two black-tie dinner events, including one valued at $300 and the other at $225. They also received transportation to the event from a reporter, who was not named, the report said.

In his questioning of Fauci, Paul stepped close to the line of accusing Fauci of lying to Congress in previous testimony in which he said that the NIAID had never funded gain-of-function research in China.
Citing a paper on research about bat coronaviruses, Paul said that U.S. money had essentially gone to the hazardous and controversial research – an assertion Fauci strongly objected to.

French police take down suspected cannibal after discovering teenager’s partially eaten head in a bucket
Authorities shot the 32-year-old suspect on Monday after arriving his Tarascon apartment following a call for what neighbors said appeared to be a dead body in a bag.
The child in question, which local authorities identify only as “Romain,” reportedly had gone missing from a foster care home in Marseille, about 60 miles from the suspect’s apartment. Authorities said the child had been on his way from his foster home to visit his mother, who was said to have lived on the same street as the suspect.
According to reports, authorities discovered a partially consumed head in a bucket near the suspect’s apartment. Authorities discovered the body, reports added, in a bag with what appeared to be strips of flesh torn from the shoulder area.

Treatment Of Protesters Now Charged For Insulting Official
Sergei Rimsky said on July 20 that the Investigative Committee had informed him of the charge, which stems from an incident in April when he demanded officers respect the rights of those they were detaining, including him, at a rally for the country’s leading opposition figure.
“I was charged,” he said in a video on Instagram.
Rimsky left the police force in February, saying he had had enough after seeing how his fellow officers treated Navalny supporters at a rally in January where hundreds, some of whom were beaten, were detained.
He then was critical of Russia’s judicial system when it jailed Navalny, President Vladimir Putin’s most vocal critic, for breaking the terms of his probation from what is widely considered to be a trumped-up case because he left Russia in a coma for life-saving treatment after being poisoned with a nerve agent.
Feds secretly tested facial recognition software on millions of travellers at Toronto airport in 2016
The Canadian government, Toronto Police Service, and owners of the Eaton Centre have all come under fire after being caught using facial recognition technology on millions of citizens without consent, warnings, or notice.
An explosive new report by the Globe and Mail revealed that Canadian government officials “quietly tested facial recognition technology on millions of unsuspecting travellers at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in 2016.”
The pilot project, named “Faces on the Move,” ran from July to December 2016, with approximately 2,951,540 people passing through border control at Pearson’s Terminal 3 during that time period.
Putin Hails Russia’s Air Power as New Fighter Goes on View
Russian aircraft maker Sukhoi developed the new fighter under the LTS program, a Russian acronym for the Light Tactical Aircraft.
Its makers said the prototype is set to make its maiden flight in 2023 and deliveries could start in 2026. They said the new design could be converted to an unpiloted version and a two-seat model.
The prospective warplane, marketed under the project name Checkmate, has one engine and is designed to be smaller and cheaper than Russia’s latest Su-57 two-engine stealth fighter, also built by Sukhoi.
It can fly at a speed of 1.8-2 times the speed of sound, has a range of 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) and a payload of 7,400 kilograms (16,300 pounds), the jet’s makers said.
Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov voiced hope that the new fighter could be sold to India, Vietnam and African nations, adding that foreign customers are expected to order at least 300 such aircraft.
Dutch court convicts men of torching virus testing center during protests
The court sentenced the 21-year-old man to a year in prison, with half the term suspended, and sentenced the 16-year-old to 180 days of youth detention, with 131 days suspended. The teen also was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
The court said the pair broke into the compound of the test location in a fishing village near the harbor of Urk on Jan. 23 and the teenager set fire to a garbage container using a burning face mask.
The two then piled more material onto the fire along with a flammable disinfectant. The test location was destroyed in the ensuing blaze.
Both would have to serve the suspended parts of their sentences if they commit another crime.
Top aide discussed ousting Boris Johnson just after 2019 election win
Cummings has attacked the government and his former boss in a number of broadsides since leaving government last year, including in front of a committee of MPs and via an independent newsletter.

Politicized Language
“Social justice” activists are changing and redefining many words, from “birthing people”, “equity”, “mistress”, “violence”, to “racism”.
Is that a harmless evolution of language? Or a step towards “1984?”
Tim Sandefur of the Goldwater Institute argues that today’s language changes are dangerous.
For example, one activist declared that “a transgender woman of color walking down the street and being called a man — [that] is an act of violence.”
“It is quite chilling,” says Sandefur, the degree to which the social justice movement… is willing to control our language.”
“The only way that we have as human beings to deal with one another is through language, discussion, debate, deliberation. If we say that that’s a form of violence … then the only way left for us to relate to one another is through power,” he adds.
