On Thursday, Facebook users began receiving notices from the social media website informing them that they “may have been exposed to harmful extremist content recently.”

Other Facebook users began receiving another notice asking “Are you concerned that someone you know is becoming an extremist?”

Reporter Brendan Gutenschwager tweeted screenshots of both Facebook notices.

“Facebook notifying some users ‘you may have been exposed to harmful extremist content recently’ with a new notice and link for ‘support from experts,’” he wrote.

It is not clear what prompted this latest action by Facebook or how long it has been going.

In recent weeks, President Joe Biden’s administration announced it is working on a plan to enable Americans to report “radicalized” friends and family members to government agencies for the purpose of countering domestic terrorism.

He chose the third. ABC News, which reported his story in December 2020, shared that Abdul applied for a special immigrant visa (SIV)—an American immigration pathway designed especially for Afghan interpreters and contractors who assisted U.S. forces during military campaigns.

SIVs theoretically provide a valuable escape option to these Afghans, who risk death and torture at the hands of the Taliban because of their connections to the United States.

For hopeful recipients, though, long-standing issues with the program make visas extraordinarily difficult to get—as Abdul would soon discover.

Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the migrants to investigate the incident and determine whether it would charge the group with trespassing and theft of property.

Big Bend sector chief patrol agent Sean McGoffin warned the “situation could have turned violent” with the armed suspects.

Without hesitation, these agents responded to the ranch house and safely secured the location, the stolen weapons and the undocumented non-citizens,” he said in a statement.

“With the presence of weapons in the wrong hands, this situation could have turned violent; fortunately, our agents were able to control the encounter and bring it to a peaceful resolution.”

While Vice President Kamala Harris was still Attorney General of California, she sent a letter to AFP in 2013 asking the non-profit to send Schedule B forms to disclose its largest donors.

A Schedule B is a highly confidential form that lists the names and addresses of a charity’s major donors—including those who live outside of California, according to the Cato Institute.

AFP declined to send the forms, saying doing so would dissuade people from donating and would violate the First Amendment.

A trial-court ruled in favor of AFP before the decision was reversed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The Supreme Court reversed the Ninth Circuit’s ruling, saying in part:

One rescue worker who asked to remain anonymous tells Local 10 News: “Everybody that was there, that’s what we’re trying to do, get this lady out and comfort her. … She was asking for help and she was pleading to be taken out of there.

“We were continuously talking to her. … ‘Honey, we got you. We’re going to get to you.’”

But a photo he shared showed what stood in their way: A dumpster, metal rebar, and a wall of concrete.

He says he was never able to see the woman trapped inside.

“The first thing I remember is thumping on the wall and then I remember her just talking, ‘I’m here, get me out. Get me out,’” he says.

Jordan and Comer join Gaetz in asking inspector general to probe Carlson NSA claim

“Mr. Carlson’s disclosures about the NSA’s actions are serious, and the NSA’s elusive response demands further inquiry.

We ask that the OIG immediately review whether the NSA collected, possessed, or obtained Mr. Carlson’s electronic communications and report to the Committee about this matter,” the three Republicans wrote in a letter to NSA Inspector General Robert P. Storch on Thursday, first obtained by the Washington Examiner.

Gaetz first called for an inspector general investigation into Carlson’s claims at a Wednesday House Judiciary Committee hearing.

The addition of Jordan, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, and Comer, the ranking member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, in a request to the NSA’s inspector general adds more weight and formality to the request, though it is still likely that it will be ignored.

Pelosi announced her eight choices for the 13-member committee Thursday at a Capitol news conference.

The chairperson will be Rep. Bennie Thompson, the chair of the Homeland Security Committee. Other Democratic members are Reps. Zoe Lofgren, the chair of House Administration Committee; Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, as well as Reps. Pete Aguilar of California, Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Elaine Luria of Virginia.

Youngkin rolled out the first of what he said would be three phases of his plan to a crowd of a couple hundred attendees in front of the Loudoun County Public Schools Administrative Building, centering his first phase around “restoring standards.”

“On day one, I will sign an executive order returning Virginia’s schools to pre-McAuliffe standards.

No longer will Virginia race to the bottom when it comes to expectations,” he vowed.Youngkin promised to preserve advanced math classes and advanced diplomas, which came under threat this year by the state Department of Education after it said it would review eliminating advanced math classes through tenth grade and ridding of advanced diplomas, both in the name of equity.

The Virginia Republican also assured the crowd he would make new appointments to key positions within the Department of Education. “I hope the state superintendent is still there when I take office so that I can escort him to the door,” Youngkin quipped.

Xi – who has made no public attempts to convince the Chinese public to get vaccinated and has not disclosed his personal vaccination status – did not mention the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in his speech, delivered to a packed Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

The square is most famous outside of China for being the site of a 1989 communist massacre resulting in at least 10,000 deaths of peaceful, pro-democracy protesters, many of them young students.

While Xi’s Party has more vocally defended the massacre, calling it a “political vaccine” against democracy, than past Chinese leaders, he also abstained from reflecting on the history of the plaza.

Officials estimated the crowd in Tiananmen Square numbered as high as 70,000 people.

“No one should underestimate the resolve, the will, and the ability of the Chinese people to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Xi added.

Tafreshi made his remarks in an interview with AFP prompted by United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet blasting Iran for its “widespread use of the death penalty” a week ago.

“Despite repeated interventions and engagement by my own Office with the Government of Iran on this issue, the sentencing and executions of child offenders continue. This is both regrettable and, given the clear illegality of these actions, reprehensible,” she said.

“When we are talking about under-18s, we are not talking about six or five years old. We are talking about mainly our 17 years old big boys sic the court recognized their maturity,” Tafreshi responded to AFP on Wednesday.

Equipping ourselves with the REAL answers to these questions is key to fighting back against the radical Left’s attempts to delegitimize our entire nation.

Plus, from deadly lockdowns to hospital care based on race (!!!), these are the stories the mainstream media refused to report this week.
