Georgia Sheriff: 3 Officers Wounded, 1 Suspect Dead, 1 in Custody
The driver stopped initially and then took off again with the trooper in pursuit. The trooper bumped the car to try to stop it but the driver of the car regained control, Dawson said.
The trooper continued pursuing the vehicle until a passenger used a rifle to fire at the patrol car and hit it, taking it out of action.
Police officers from Carrollton then joined the chase. At some point, a passenger leaned out and fired a shot into a police vehicle, hitting an officer, Carrollton Police Chief Joel Richards said. The officer lost control of his vehicle and hit a utility pole. Other officers stopped to help him.

Twitter Suppresses Tweet About BLM Founder Buying $1.4 Million Home In Mostly White Neighborhood
Whitlock tweeted about the controversy last week, writing, “Black Lives Matter Founder buys $1.4 million home in Topanga, which has a black population of 1.4%. She’s with her people!”
He added a link to the story on the celebrity property blog The Dirt.
Twitter quickly deleted his post and locked his account for “violating our rules against posting private information.”
Whitlock has more than 433,000 Twitter followers and is a long-time vocal critic of BLM.

Officials released the body camera video Monday of Sunday’s deadly police shooting of Daunte Wright during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said it was an accidental discharge, that the officer who shot Wright had intended to reach for his taser, but discharged his handgun instead.
Hours After Mass Shooting, Philly DA Downplayed Crime Spike to Liberal Celebrities
Hours after eight people were shot in broad daylight outside a Philadelphia train station, the city’s top law enforcement official downplayed a historic violent crime surge during a $1,000-a-head reelection fundraiser with Hollywood and Democratic VIPs, according to audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
District attorney Larry Krasner did not mention the tragic event in his virtual address to liberal celebrity John Legend, Democratic Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren, and wealthy liberal donors.
Krasner did, however, paint critics of his progressive crime policies as ignorant, lamenting that they get their understanding of crime from “watching Law & Order on television” and hold irrational fears of “werewolves running up and down the street.”

Tom Cotton: New York’s Homeless Veterans Ineligible for $15.6K Payments to Illegal Aliens
Illegal aliens who will be eligible for the one-time payment could receive up to $15,600, the equivalent of about $300 a week for one year.
Cotton, in a statement posted online, noted the state’s homeless veterans are not eligible for the stimulus benefits:
A June 2020 report conducted by New York state officials revealed in 2019, there were 1,270 homeless veterans in the state with the overwhelming majority living in shelters.
More than half of these homeless veterans are in New York City.

Model left brain-damaged after allergic reaction to pretzel awarded $29.5M
Chantel Giacalone’s family was awarded the $29.5 million sum Friday when a jury found that the responding ambulance service negligently treated her in 2013, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
On Feb. 20, 2013, then-27-year-old Giacalone was modeling clothes at a fashion trade show at the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center when her friend bought her frozen yogurt and put a bite-size pretzel on top.
Giacalone, an aspiring actress, went into anaphylactic shock after taking a bite.
Google’s secret ‘Project Bernanke’ revealed in Texas antitrust case
Google’s use of bidding information, Texas alleges, amounted to insider trading in digital ad markets.
Because Google had exclusive information about what other ad buyers were willing to pay, the state says, it could unfairly compete against rival ad-buying tools and pay publishers less on its winning bids for ad inventory.
The unredacted documents show that Texas claims Project Bernanke is a critical part of that effort.
Google acknowledged the existence of Project Bernanke in its response and said in the filing that “the details of Project Bernanke’s operations are not disclosed to publishers.”
Gov. Tim Walz Mobilizes National Guard After Rioters Vandalize Police Station
The death of Wright sparked about 500 rioters charging the police station, throwing rocks and vandalizing police cars in which the National Guard was called to protect the police precinct by dispersing the crowd. The rioters then began looting local businesses:
“National Guard troops arrived just before midnight as looters targeted the Brooklyn Center Walmart and nearby shopping mall.
Several businesses around the Walmart were completely destroyed, including Foot Locker, T Mobile, and a New York men’s clothing store,” the paper wrote.
2-year-old girl critically wounded, three others hurt, in Seattle shooting
The violence unfolded around 3:20 p.m. Sunday, when at least one suspect fired into the parking lot of a strip mall in the city’s Central District, according to police and The Seattle Times.
The toddler was struck, in addition to three adult men, according to authorities.
Before police or medics arrived, all of the victims were taken to local hospitals in personal vehicles, cops said.
The youngest victim remained in critical condition as of Sunday evening, Harborview Medical Center spokesperson Susan Gregg told the paper, and the two men taken there were listed in satisfactory condition.
CA teacher caught berating students in leaked Zoom over push for in-person learning: ‘Come at me’
In another video shared on the platform, Piro can be heard aggressively yelling at a student inquiring about a “White student union.”
“You don’t need a White student union, Jake. You get everything,” the teacher retorts.
A mother of a student in Piro’s class told Fox News that she brought the videos to the attention of the school principal Adam Dawson several weeks ago.
A different mother posted that Piro had previously taught her daughter at a High Tech elementary school but that she was eventually fired and appears to have “gone downhill” since then.

Detroit absentee ballot instructions conflict with witness testimony about irregularities
The instructions, obtained by Just the News through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, were crystal clear concerning signature matching and ballot dating:
Verification of signatures on absentee ballots was mandatory, and ballots were to be stamped with the date on which they are received.
Detroit election worker Jessy Jacob, a longtime city employee, testified in November that she was instructed by supervisors to ignore signatures on absentee ballots and to fraudulently backdate late-arriving absentee ballots to make them appear to be valid.
Zuckerberg group gave Detroit $7.4 million to ‘dramatically’ expand vote in city key to Biden win

The Obama administration NASA deputy is not the only prominent member of the space community to criticize Nelson’s pick on the basis of gender.
Former NASA administrator Charles Bolden—a onetime colleague of Garver—told Politico he would have “preferred” to see a female lead the agency.
Beyond gender issues, Garver also criticized Nelson’s record on aerospace issues. As a senator, Nelson championed heavy investments in launch vehicles now believed to be ineffective and outdated following the success of commercial space companies during the Trump presidency.

The official document, from a district in eastern China, listed a campaign to suppress Falun Gong practitioners among the key achievements in that area in 2020, alongside other tasks such as controlling the pandemic and “maintaining social stability.”
Official data reported that 70-100 million adherents had practiced in China by 1999.
However, after the Chinese regime felt threatened by the popularity and independence of the practice, it began to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999 and millions have been detained inside prisons, labor camps, and other facilities, according to the Falun Dafa Information Center.

Revealed: the Facebook loophole that lets world leaders deceive and harass their citizens
The Guardian has seen extensive internal documentation showing how Facebook handled more than 30 cases across 25 countries of politically manipulative behavior that was proactively detected by company staff.
The company acted quickly to address political manipulation affecting countries such as the US, Taiwan, South Korea and Poland, while moving slowly or not at all on cases in Afghanistan, Iraq, Mongolia, Mexico, and much of Latin America.
“There is a lot of harm being done on Facebook that is not being responded to because it is not considered enough of a PR risk to Facebook,” said Sophie Zhang, a former data scientist at Facebook who worked within the company’s “integrity” organization to combat inauthentic behavior.
“The cost isn’t borne by Facebook. It’s borne by the broader world as a whole.”

China Increases Food Dependence on U.S. as Corn Prices Soar
Corn is used in China for feeding pigs — pork is the nation’s most popular meat — making it an indispensable crop. Pakistan police arrest radical Islamist party head in Lahore
LAHORE, Pakistan — Pakistan police Monday arrested the leader of a radical Islamist political party a day after he threatened the government with protests if it did not expel France’s ambassador over depictions of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
Saad Rizvi was arrested in the eastern city of Lahore to “maintain law and order,” said Ghulam Mohammad Dogar, chief of Lahore police.
Rizvi called on the government to honor what he said was a commitment it made in February to his party to expel the French envoy before April 20 over the publication in France of depictions of Islam’s Prophet.
China launches hotline for netizens to report ‘illegal’ history comments
The tip line allows people to report fellow netizens who “distort” the Party’s history, attack its leadership and policies, defame national heroes and “deny the excellence of advanced socialist culture” online, said a notice posted by an arm of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) on Friday.
“We hope that the majority of Internet users will actively play their part in supervising society … and enthusiastically report harmful information,” it said.
The notice did not specify what punishments would be dealt to people who are reported through the hotline, but netizens in China already face jail time and other legal punishments for posting content that is critical of the county’s leadership, policies and history.

Is Communism Moral?
Motives are much less important than behavior. We all know this: If someone has good intentions, but treats people badly, those good intentions mean nothing.
As it is with individuals, so it is with governments. Capitalism might sound less noble than communism—the individual pursues success to the best of his abilities (that’s capitalism) versus everyone shares everything equally (that’s communism).
But it is capitalism that has produced freedom and it alone has lifted millions from poverty while communism has kept millions impoverished and without exception crushed freedom.
