2 suspected terrorists on FBI, DHS watch lists arrested at US border

Identified on the FBI’s Terrorism Watch List
The arrests come amid a surge in border crossings since the start of President Joe Biden’s term. Biden has reversed a number of border protection policies brought by former President Donald Trump.
Last month, Trump criticized Biden‘s handling of the border, saying, “A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute.
Many have criminal records, and many others have and are spreading covid.
Interior enforcement has been shut down—criminals that were once promptly removed by our Administration are now being released back onto the street to commit heinous and violent crimes.”
Human smugglers use Facebook to connect with migrants and spread false hope of reaching U.S.

“Travel to Mexico to the United States. Costs $8,000. 100 percent safe,” reads a recent post written in Spanish. “Cross through Matamoros. You walk one hour, after in automobile until you arrive to your relative.”
The Spanish-language posts identified by NBC News were found on public Facebook pages with names like “Migrants from Various Countries in Mexico” and “Migrants in the Mexico-U.S.A. Border Awaiting Hearing.”
An apparent smuggler posted a picture of a family with luggage, wearing masks and sitting together on what appears to be a plane. “Make your dream a reality in the United States. We are here to help you,” the caption reads. “The journey is safe and reliable and the price is $4,500 leaving from Monterrey to San Antonio, Texas.”

Clarence Thomas Provides Legal Roadmap To Tearing Down Social Media Censorship

In a ruling for writ of certiorari on the case of President Joe Biden v. Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, Thomas concurred in an opinion to send the case back to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit with instructions to dismiss as moot, now that Biden is in the White House.
The case, launched in August, questions whether the First Amendment strips government officials of their ability to block third-party accounts on Twitter if the personal account is used to conduct official business.
The lower court ruled Trump violated the First Amendment when blocking users on the platform, which served as a public forum.
Thomas went on to outline a blueprint for breaking up protections that enable corporate tech monopolies to engage in widespread censorship frequently in one direction.
Teen Girls Who Murdered Uber Eats Driver in DC Get Incredible Plea Deal — Won’t Go to Prison

The 13 and 15-year-old girls who were charged with the murder and carjacking of 66-year-old Mohammad Anwar have received a plea deal that will ensure they won’t be held past age of 21 or be placed in a prison facility.
The horrific crime was caught on camera by a witness, shocking the nation.
Highlighting the callous heartlessness of these girls, instead of fleeing the scene after the car that they were trying to steal crashed and rolled on its side, one of them began looking for her cellphone that was in the vehicle — while walking nonchalantly past her victim’s mangled body.
Former Gaetz staffer says he has no knowledge of any illegal activity, calls claims ‘fabricated’

Nathan Nelson, who served as Mr. Gaetz’s military affairs director, held a press conference to refute rumors that he was aware of the congressman’s alleged activities.
“Nothing could be further from the truth. Neither I nor any member of his staff had knowledge of illegal activities,” he said at a press conference in Florida.
Mr. Nelson left the congressman’s office earlier this year. He said two FBI agents met with him last week and said members of the media contacted them to claim his departure is linked to a federal investigation.
Mr. Nelson said that because facts surrounding his departure were falsely reported, he believes the claims against Mr. Gaetz are also untrue.
Border Access | Full Measure
Continuing our coverage of the border crisis: Much attention is understandably focused on the flood of illegal border crossers turning themselves in, in south Texas.
But there’s a flip side, as we learned on our recent trip to the border: a corresponding increase in those trying to avoid capture, usually because they’re involved in criminal activities.
The Fast Lane | Full Measure
As more Americans get back to work after the Covid-19 shutdowns, traffic gridlock threatens to make a return. It’s been a longstanding problem in nearly every major city.
When we’re fully up and running, highway congestion costs more than a hundred billion dollars a year in terms of lost productivity, wasted gas and added pollution.
So how much would you be willing to pay to sail past a line of rush hour traffic in your own car? Ten dollars? Twenty? How about forty dollars?
Today we investigate the high cost of the fast lane.
Andy Ngô reacts to becoming Antifa target, leaving US: ‘Not safe anymore for me’

Over the course of years, Ngô has endured physical attacks from people in crowds while covering Antifa or radical events, and even unwanted visitors at his and his parents’ homes, Ngô wrote in his book.
Ngô grew to have a keen interest in Antifa following the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, he said.
“Absolutely nobody was expecting it,” he recalled. “And the response to that democratic outcome was for people to take to the streets in masses to reject that outcome, and in Portland, many people chose to manifest their frustration through violence and destruction.”
In his coverage on the ground in Portland at the time, Ngô said he began to see “the groundwork being laid for something much worse to come.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz: The swamp is out to drown me with false charges, but I’m not giving up

I want to be clear about something as we process the leaks and lies from the past week. To this point, there are exactly zero credible (or even non-credible) accusers willing to come forward by name and state on the public record that I behaved improperly toward them, in the manner by which Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ten accusers.
Instead, CNN, the New York Times, Politico, and others are just repeating false allegations about a congressman who loathes the swamp and fights both sides of it on a daily basis.
Just as they once falsely attacked President Donald Trump as a Russian asset, Justice Brett Kavanaugh as a gang rapist, and even John McCain as having fathered a child out of wedlock, they now attack me.

Philippines Claims Beijing Aims To Occupy More ‘Features’ in South China Sea

Philippine Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana’s latest statement came after the Chinese Embassy in Manila a day earlier defended the presence of Chinese boats at the Whitsun Reef saying it was part of “China’s Nansha Islands” – Beijing’s name for the Spratly Islands.
The Philippine defense secretary’s statement was part of an escalating war of words between him and the Chinese Embassy in Manila over the weekend.
The Chinese Embassy in Manila on Saturday denounced Lorenzana’s demand from earlier in the day that the Chinese vessels must leave “our sovereign territories.” It also called Lorenzana’s Saturday statement “perplexing.”
Satirist Jailed For Tweets Cursing Life Under The Ruling Chinese Communist Party

Chen’s sentence, which was issued on March 25, was based on more than 50 posts he made to Twitter that were deemed to be “hype about major sensitive events in China” and “political attacks.”
Chen’s tweets had “attacked China’s political system, insulted employees of the state, caused serious damage to China’s national image and endangered its national interests,” as well as “creating serious disorder in a public place,” the court judgment said.
He was banned from social media platforms including WeChat and Douyin after his videos on the death of whistleblowing Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang went viral.
China Is Detaining Christians In Secret Facilities Forcing Them To Renounce Their Faith Or Be Tortured: Report

“A member of a Christian ‘house church’ in the southwestern province of Sichuan who asked to be identified by a pseudonym Li Yuese said he was held in a facility run by the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s United Front Work Department, working in tandem with the state security police, for 10 months after a raid on his church in 2018,” Radio Free Asia reported.
“Another Christian who asked to remain anonymous told RFA that similar facilities are being used across China, not just for Protestants, but also for members of the underground Catholic church, and of the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement, a target of authorities since 1999.”
The communists reportedly focus mostly on targeting “house churches” that are not members of the CCP-backed Three-Self Patriotic Association, which teaches people a CCP-approved version of Christianity because it views Christianity as a national security threat.

Eli Steele: Justice for George Floyd from honking horns?

What gave Black Lives Matter their tremendous power was that they used Floyd’s death to seize the mantle of moral authority in America.
They knew every American’s greatest fear is the label of racist and they used the death of a man to divide America into two camps: racist and antiracists.
The only way to become an antiracist was to subscribe to the Black Lives Matter ideology, which included critical race theory.
But like those activists outside of the courthouse, the goal here for Black Lives Matter was not true justice but conformity to an ideology that reduces us all to skin tone.
Al Sharpton was right. America is on trial, but not in the sense that he meant it.
