DBFR rescued a woman trapped in a storm drain Tuesday morning, removing a grate and using a ladder and harness to raise her to ground level before transporting her to a local hospital.

According to the Miami Herald, the woman, who is 43 years old, went swimming in a canal near her boyfriend’s home on March 3.

“While she was swimming, she came across a doorway near a shallow part of the canal. She stated she entered the doorway and noticed a tunnel,” an incident report read according to the outlet.

The report noted that the woman became curious when she saw the doorway, and began walking down the tunnel. That tunnel led to the next “and so on until she became lost,” the Herald noted.

“The woman claims she was walking in the tunnels, lost, for about three weeks until she ‘saw some light’ and decided to sit there because she saw people walking by,” the Herald added.

With Congress poised to get tough about social media content, Zuckerberg, others present their plan

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other social media leaders are set to present to Congress on Thursday their proposed revisions to federal regulations requiring them to to identify and remove unlawful content.

Zuckerberg, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey and Google’s Sundar Pichai will each present their respective proposal to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Zuckerberg argues that social media companies shouldn’t receive immunity – as part of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996.

He thinks Congress should instead require companies to find and remove unlawful content.

“The government may regulate, and even prohibit, in public places — including government buildings, churches, schools, and markets — the open carrying of small arms capable of being concealed, whether they are carried concealed or openly,” Judge Jay Bybee, appointed by President George W. Bush, wrote for the majority.

He said a review of more than 700 years of American and English law showed that government has long had the power to regulate arms in public places.

“We have never assumed that individuals have an unfettered right to carry weapons in public spaces,” Bybee wrote. “Indeed, we can find no general right to carry arms into the public square for self defense.”

Bybee was joined by another Bush appointee and five Democratic appointees.

On little-noticed panel, Fauci and Chinese counterpart envision lengthy COVID restrictions

Top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci on a recent public health panel signaled common ground with a renowned Chinese doctor and public health administrator on the matter of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, with both Fauci and his Chinese counterpart suggesting that those restrictions could continue for many months or even years.

Fauci in early March appeared on the virtual panel, titled “The Future of Health,” hosted by the University of Edinburgh.

Also present in the meeting was Chinese pulmonologist Zhong Nanshan, who has been at the forefront of China’s response to the pandemic and who has been referred to by national spokeswoman Hua Chunying as “China’s Fauci.”

A River of Doubt Runs Through Mail Voting in Big Sky Country

MISSOULA COUNTY, Mont. — A mountainous, 2,600-square-mile region with a population of approximately 119,600 does not seem like your prototypical setting for machine politics.

Yet a recent audit of mail-in ballots cast there found irregularities characteristic of larger urban centers — on a level that could have easily swung local elections in 2020, and statewide elections in cycles past.

The Biden administration, the Democrat-controlled Congress, and the Democratic National Committee are collectively pressing to both nationalize, and make permanent, many of the extraordinary pandemic-driven voting measures implemented during the 2020 election —particularly mass mail-in voting.

Political leaders and prominent media outlets have dismissed concerns raised by critics that such measures invite voter fraud. But could the election in small-county Missoula call all that into question?

In his own interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday, Rubio said, “We have to know what it is, or we have to try to know what it is.

That’s my view, without any preconceived notions.

Maybe there’s a logical explanation, maybe it’s something that can be explained away, maybe it’s a foreign adversary who’s made a technological leap, as you heard [John Ratcliffe], the former DNI, say. Whatever it is, we need to know the answer to it.”

Harris to lead administration’s efforts to stem migration at border

President Biden announced Wednesday he had tapped Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the administration’s efforts to stem migration at the southern border.

Her role comes as border apprehensions have soared since Mr. Biden took office.

“Starting today the Northern Triangle nations and Mexico will know there is one senior official dedicated to this effort,” a senior official said on a call with reporters. “She [the vice president] is really going to look at two tracks.

She is going to work first on the goal of stemming the flow of irregular migrants to the US, but also at the same time, and as part of the broader context, her real goal is establishment of a strategic partnership with these countries that is based on respect and shared values.”

The Left’s Legal Top Gun Marc Elias Isn’t Finished With Democracy Yet

This week the House Committee on Administration is taking up the challenge by Rita Hart to have Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks kicked out of Congress.

The Democratic candidate for a vacant seat in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, Hart lost by six votes in November to Miller-Meeks, a Republican.

The election was properly certified in Iowa, but Hart’s attorney – the Democratic Party’s most powerful power lawyer, Marc Elias – claims to have found extra ballots for Hart.

He wants Congress to overrule state elections officials and seat Hart.

Rodney Davis, the ranking Republican member of the administration committee, blasts the effort, calling it an attempt to “steal a House seat.” He’s not alone is seeing hypocrisy in litigating to overturn an election after Democrats lambasted Donald Trump for doing much the same.

Mexican President Points to Biden Policies for Causing Chaotic Border Surge

President Joe Biden lit the fuse that led to the explosion of migrants trying to enter the United States illegally, according to Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“Expectations were created that with the government of President Biden, there would be a better treatment of migrants,” López Obrador said in a Tuesday news conference, according to Fox News.

“And this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so,” he added.

Texas Dem Says Mexico Gives Him More Info on Border Crisis Than Biden Admin

Cuellar criticized the Biden administration’s lack of information-sharing on the border during a Wednesday morning MSNBC appearance.

The Democrat—whose district includes the border town of Laredo—revealed that he gets a briefing on border activity “first from the Mexicans, because it’s hard to get information from our own government.”

“And I sit on the Homeland Appropriations [Subcommittee],” Cuellar said. “I get more information from across the river than I get from my own government, which is just amazing.”

Cuellar also detailed the massive profit raked in by Mexican drug cartels working to traffic illegal migrants into the United States.

GAO investigating Biden over border wall funding freeze, report says

President Joe Biden is being investigated by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to determine whether he broke the law by freezing billions of dollars allocated by Congress for the U.S.-Mexico border wall, Politico reported on Tuesday.

During his first day in office, Biden paused funding for the border wall, and doing so may have broken rules in place to safeguard Congress’ control of the federal budget.

Additionally, Congressional Republicans say Biden’s action has contributed to the worsening crisis at America’s southern border.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W. Va.), the committee’s closely watched swing vote, ended up siding with his party after weeks of advocacy campaigns by pro-Israel groups and West Virginia state legislators urging him to oppose the nomination.

Committee Republicans all voted against Kahl, who has faced controversy over his advocacy for the Iran nuclear deal, anti-Israel policies, and tweets insulting GOP lawmakers and defense hawks.

Now Kahl is expected to receive a full Senate vote, where he will come face to face with many of the same lawmakers he spent years disparaging on Twitter and in other public forums.

McConnell Threatens ‘Nuclear Winter’ if Democrats Get Rid of Filibuster

Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema have said under no circumstances will they vote to eliminate the filibuster. But both senators have left the door open for some kind of filibuster reform.

Any effort to “reform” the filibuster would kill the intent of the rule, which is as good as repealing it in the eyes of Democrats.

How long could the Republicans keep a nuclear war going?

If they can draw it out until the end of 2022, they may get a shot at flipping the Senate. It’s all they have left to protect themselves from the naked power grab being engineered by Washington Democrats.

How Communism Sows Chaos Into Law and Order of the United States: Communism in US Part 5

In the 5th part of this special series, we explore the right and wrongs of laws.

This comes as the good and evil is flipped upside down, and the so-called “morals” of social justice become higher than the constitution. This, as the Supreme Court fails to interpret the Constitution as written, fails to uphold election justice, fails to enact the proper measures to ensure society does not fall to the corruption of Communism.

The separation of power begins to merge as left socialist agendas become the driving force behind the communist push to end law and order.
