Keefe, Keefe & Unsell, P.C., a medical malpractice and personal injury law firm, was fined for conducting a “straw donor” scheme to benefit C.J. Baricevic, who ran to represent Illinois’ 12th Congressional District in 2016. Seven employees gave a total of $18,900 to Baricevic’s campaign at the request of the firm’s owner, Thomas Keefe Jr., considered one of America’s top lawyers.

According to the FEC documents, on March 2, 2016, the employees—including an attorney, receptionist, and two secretaries—donated the maximum contribution of $2,700 to Baricevic’s campaign.

The firm later reimbursed employees for their contributions, in violation of campaign finance law.

“Straw donations are one of the most serious and egregious violations of campaign finance law,” said Kendra Arnold, executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, who filed the complaint over the scheme nearly five years ago.

“Sometimes the system takes a long time to work, and, although ideally it would have been resolved sooner, it is a good thing that there has finally been some accountability in this case.”

A city spokesperson told FOX Business that Burbank is seeking court authorization to padlock the doors until Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill “obtains all legally required permits to operate.”

The restaurant ignored the order, and at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, the city cut off the electricity.

The restaurant stayed defiant, running a generator, opened for business, and continued to defy court orders, a city spokesperson told Fox News.

The ongoing saga between the restaurant and the city comes as Los Angeles County partially reopened sectors of businesses that have been shuttered amid the pandemic.

Pennsylvania Republicans Refer Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf For Investigation Into Nursing Homes Scandal

Other governors hailed as liberal lockdown heroes who also passed down orders to place COVID-infected patients into nursing homes are now taking heat for the deadly directives.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who signed an order on April 15 demanding long-term care facilities “must not prohibit admission or readmission of a resident based on COVID-19 testing requirements or results,” faces potential criminal charges.

In New Jersey, Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy’s office was warned his nursing home directive would kill people.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and California Gov. Gavin Newsom also handed down similar edicts in their own states. Newsom now faces a recall election where organizers will submit more than two million signatures needed Wednesday to put a contest on the calendar later this year.

Three of the people arrested were from Yemen and one was from Serbia.

The four arrests are more than the number of similar people taken into custody during recent full fiscal years, according to the source. In fiscal 2018, six people from Yemen and Bangladesh were arrested.

Republican House members who visited the border on Monday said an unspecified number of migrants crossing the border had names matching those on the terror watchlist.

Gilday responded to Banks in a March 12 letter obtained by Fox News saying he included Kendi’s book on the CNO-PRP list because “it evokes the author’s own personal journey in understanding barriers to true inclusion, the deep nuances of racism and racial inequalities.”

He added that he wants the Navy’s sailors to achieve the same level of “self-reflection.”

“We face an existential foreign threat, and our military is desperate for serious leadership,” the congressman said.

Gilday also said in his letter that some of the books on the CNO-PRP reading list were recommendations from Task Force One Navy, which he contacted over the summer “to identify and remove racial barriers, improve inclusion efforts, create new opportunities for professional development and eliminate obstacles to enter the Navy.”

She directed police to the home and told them more victims were inside before being rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries, McCartt said.

Days after the murders, a family member painted a more detailed picture of what happened in the hours leading up to the attack.

Nava, 21, told Fox 11 he had noticed an older man sitting in a car in a parking lot near his house nearly every day in early March, and was shocked to realize it was his old math teacher.

Villarruel, who was affectionately known as “Mr. V” by his students, resigned from teaching last spring after the district shifted to virtual learning.

“I decided the school situation has changed completely and I believed that a job of a substitute was over,” he told Fox 11. “In May, I submitted my resignation. I managed to do all of the paperwork, all of the arrangements to get my pension. I got my check, but that check didn’t last long because I had debts already.”

According to KNTV, the only income Villarruel was receiving was a monthly Social Security check, most of which he sends to his wife in Mexico, who is sick.

COVID At The Border: The Biden administration is clearly NOT serious about saving American ives

For citizens and non-citizens alike, the U.S. has strict COVID-19 policies for those entering the United States legally via air travel. But a new executive order creates different, lower COVID standards for people illegally entering the USA at the land border.

There is absolutely NO reason why those entering the country illegally should face fewer barriers due to COVID than those entering legally, including citizens of the United States.

This is a direct attack against the progress we’ve made across the country to combat COVID.

This isn’t a political issue: it’s a matter of public health. Sign the Safe Borders Petition (SafeBordersPetition.com) to Demand COVID Screenings at the Border

Washington Post Corrects the Story on Trump Georgia Phone Call: RealClearPolitics Takeaway March 16

Commentary/Opinion:
RealClearPolitics co-founder and president Tom Bevan joins RCP White House Correspondent Philip Wegmann to discuss a Washington Post correction to its story about President Trump’s phone call to the chief investigator for the Georgia Secretary of State reviewing the election.

The story was used by Democrats in Trump’s second impeachment hearing as evidence of attempted interference in the recount process.

Did the Post over-rely on a single anonymous source? Will the correction get the same play as the original story?

How does this feed into the ongoing erosion of trust in the media?

The Washington Post’s Trump ‘misquote’ was FAR bigger than a simple mistake

Commentary/Opinion:
The Washington Post recently admitted they ‘misquoted’ Trump last December in a mistake so big that Pat and Stu believe it may have cost Republicans the Senate majority.

In this clip, the guys detail the WAPO’s carless reporting error, how the newspaper eventually announced the correction, and why this is further proof the MSM is nothing more than a ‘propaganda arm’ for the Democrats.

Chain of custody for over 400,000 Georgia absentee ballots: missing (REPORT)

As of March 3, only 56 of Georgia’s 159 counties have provided ballot transfer form data to The Georgia Star News.

The number of absentee by mail ballots delivered to registrars in those 56 counties total only 195,309, or 32.5 percent, of the estimated 600,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars and counted in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

In other words, there is no chain of custody for 67.5 percent – an estimated 404,691 – of the estimated 600,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars and counted in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

The 2020 presidential election outcome in Georgia was decided by fewer than 12,000 votes – about three percent of the 404,000 absentee vote by mail ballots deposited in drop boxes and delivered to county registrars where they were counted.

Russian authorities on Tuesday said they are prepared to block Twitter in a month’s time if the social media giant does not comply with demands to remove upwards of 3,000 posts of banned content, AP reports.

Russia claims Twitter failed to heed previous warnings to remove posts about child suicide and pornography, and information about drugs. Authorities in the country have a fraught relationship with social media platforms, which for years have provided a forum for political dissent.

Russian authorities have long looked askance at the role platforms like Twitter in mobilizing protestors. In 2019, Russia moved to assert more control over its domestic internet by severing itself from the global internet.

Northern Mozambique’s humanitarian crisis is growing rapidly, with nearly 670,000 people displaced by the Islamic extremist insurgency in Cabo Delgado province, international aid groups said Tuesday.

Children as young as 11 are being beheaded by the rebels, according to workers for Save the Children, who interviewed grief-stricken families.

The number of displaced has dramatically increased by more than 500,000 in the past year and nearly 1 million people are in need of food aid, according to the U.N.

More than 2,600 people have died in the conflict since it started in 2017, according to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project.

The conflict is in a resource-rich area where huge deposits of liquified natural gas have been discovered and the French gas firm Total has embarked on a multibillion-dollar investment.

Why eliminating the US Army’s ’gender neutral’ fitness test is a ‘TERRIBLE IDEA’

The US Army is reviewing its gender neutral ‘Army Combat Fitness Test,’ according to military news site Task & Purpose. Currently, both males and females must pass the test, but women fail it at a much higher rate than men.

So, the military branch currently is evaluating new tests that would account for the physiological differences between men and women.

Pat and Stu discuss why this is a ‘TERRIBLE IDEA’ and why the US military should focus on potential future combat — not political correctness.

WaPo Admits Trump Story Lie: He Never Said ‘Find the Fraud’ | DIRECT MESSAGE | Rubin Report

First Dave discusses the shocking revelation that Wapo’s reporting of a Trump phone call, that became national news and fodder in his impeachment, never occurred.

The Post recently got access to the original Trump audio and realized that their anonymous source misquoted him. Is it any wonder that people have completely lost the trust of mainstream media?

Joy made the shocking claim that Antifa doesn’t exist despite even recent attempts by them to burn down the federal courthouse in Portland.

Finally in an attempt to fight the recall effort, Gavin Newsom appeared on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show The Reidout.

Joy asked Newsom if Diane Feinstein retired, would he nominate an African American woman to take her place, to which he gladly agreed to.
