‘I couldn’t be there to protect them.’ 3 kids and their moms killed in Florida tragedy
A Florida pastor is grieving the loss of his two daughters and three grandchildren who were among the five people killed in a car crash in Orlando Thursday night.
To add to the man’s heartache, his wife, who was driving one of the cars, is battling Stage 4 cancer and is hospitalized with serious injuries and so he hasn’t been able to tell her of their unimaginable loss.
“Just imagining that final impact and what my kids were going through and what my grandchildren were saying and I couldn’t be there to protect them,”Pastor Anthony Oliver told a Fox 35 News reporter in Orlando.
At a news conference near the accident site Thursday night, the Florida Highway Patrol gave some details about the crash, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
YouTube Blacklists 30,000 Videos It Claims Are Coronavirus Vaccine ‘Misinformation’
AXIOS reports that YouTube spokesperson Elena Hernandez has revealed that YouTube has removed more than 30,000 videos that it claims made misleading or false claims about coronavirus vaccines in the last six months, providing the first release of numbers on the topic.
Accounts that violate YouTube’s policy rules are subject to its “strike” system which can result in accounts being permanently banned from the platform.
Facebook and Twitter have adopted similar policies to YouTube and have worked to remove misleading information about the coronavirus and vaccines from their various platforms.
Uber passenger seen assaulting San Francisco driver in viral video is arrested
San Francisco police said on Thursday that officers with the Las Vegas police department had arrested Malaysia King, 24, who is accused of attacking Subhakar Khadka after he refused to continue to drive King and two other passengers, one of whom had failed to follow Uber policies and wear a mask during the ride.
The incident occurred on Sunday, after Khadka picked up three women in the city.
Khadka filmed the video, which appears to show an unmasked woman in the back of the car coughing into Khadka’s face and screaming at him.
Seconds later the woman snatches Khadka’s cellphone out of his hand and plucks his mask from his face.
She and another passenger threaten to beat up the driver, before, according to Khadka, spraying pepper spray into his car.
Biden’s SecDef overruled Nat’l Guard chief who wanted to end DC troop deployment, report says
With the shortage in available troops, Hokanson said the National Guard has had to man its mission in D.C. with volunteers.
“To date, only 500 have volunteered to extend through the draft [request for authorization for a deployment extension] end date despite our best efforts to marshal more volunteers,” Hokanson wrote.
“I am concerned that the continued indefinite nature of this requirement may also impede our ability to man future missions as both adjutants general and guardsmen alike may be skeptical about committing to future endeavors,” Hokanson added.
On Thursday, military officials announced a Guardsman deployed in D.C. had died due to a medical emergency, but did not elaborate on the cause of death.

Nashville police officer in critical condition following shootout at Dollar General parking lot, officials say
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (NMPD) identified the officer as Josh Baker and said the incident unfolded around 9:30 a.m. local time when he attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose owner has six outstanding drug warrants.
“Officer Baker approached the vehicle, learned that the owner of the car — the person with the outstanding warrants — was not the person driving and the situation devolved from there into a shootout,” Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron told reporters.
Aaron says the 31-year-old woman behind the wheel, identified as Nika Holbert, opened fire and Baker shot back in response.
Following the shooting, Holbert sped away from the scene and crashed the vehicle down an embankment, Aaron said.
Migrants smuggled across Texas river as border crossings surge, video shows
The video appeared on the TikTok account of “Tripwires & Triggers,” a service started by Jaeson Jones to keep the public informed about the situation at the southern border.
Jones, who previously served as a captain in the Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety, narrates the video.
Jones has extensively covered the situation across the border, and he claimed in the video that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers have been moved from border security to migrant care and processing.
A version of the video without commentary later appeared on Twitter.
The video hits the internet as the White House denies any kind of “open border” with Mexico.

Portland Police Invisible as Antifa Renews Attacks on Federal Courthouse
Videos show Antifa smashing windows, spraying graffiti, and setting fires. Portland police were nowhere to be seen in the footage.
Department of Homeland Security agents responded to a Thursday night attack on the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse as Antifa smashed windows, set fires, and vandalized the property, The Oregonian reported.
Rioters told reporters they attacked because federal officials removed the physical barriers that had been protecting the courthouse since July.
“Demonstrators also cited the recent dismantling of protections in front of the courthouse and proceedings in the case of a former Minneapolis police officer charged in George Floyd’s death as reasons they were protesting Thursday night,” the article states quoting journalist Suzette Smith.
Video’s tweeted by KOIN CBS6 journalist Jennifer Dowling show the violent attacks on the courthouse. In the videos, there are no signs of a Portland police.

Sponsor of bill to fund abortions with U.S. foreign aid slurs late Sen. Jesse Helms as ‘racist’
Brian Rogers, president of the Jesse Helms Center in Wingate, N.C., fired back at Schakowsky in an interview Thursday.
“It’s a disgrace that Rep. Jan Schakowsky or anyone else would use such a vile word to describe Sen. Helms, a man … whom they had never met,” Rogers told Just the News.
“That said, in our view, nothing could be more racist than advancing a policy of aborting a child anywhere in the world as a method of family planning, which is what the Helms Amendment was designed to avert,” Rogers added.
“Many countries that receive assistance from the U.S. prohibit abortion in all but extreme cases, such as where the life of the mother is at stake or where the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest,” Oas wrote in a piece posted at her organization’s website.
“In such places, the vast majority of abortions currently occurring ‘unsafely’ are already illegal, and the U.S. could not assist in making them ‘safe’ without violating the sovereign laws of that country.”

Senate Dems introduce ‘assault weapons’ ban bill on 205 gun models, incl. shotguns, hunting rifles
Introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the legislation called the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2021” would also outlaw magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds and is co-sponsored by 34 other Senate Democrats.
Current owners of the “assault weapons” listed in the legislation would be allowed to keep them, but any private transfers would require an FBI background check prior to receiving the firearm.
The Department of Justice National Institute of Justice issued a report in 2004 stating that the “assault weapons” ban from 1994 did not actually reduce crime.

Conservatism is more compassionate than liberalism. Conservative policies consider the long term damage done to Americans on policy issues.
Take a look at Joe Biden’s bad border policy. Many women and children from Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico are putting themselves in harm’s way to illegally enter America.
Some of the migrants will be raped, tortured and used as human traffickers for drugs because of Biden’s weak stance on the border.

Sadiq Khan Admits Streets of London ‘Not Safe’ for Women or Girls
Mayor Khan, who under the terms of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 fulfils the role of Police and Crime Commissioner in the British capital — excluding, somewhat confusingly for outsiders, the City of London, or Square Mile, which has its own police force — made the comments in an appearance on LBC radio.

Myanmar coup: The ‘battle tactics’ used in crackdowns on protests
Crackdowns against protests have already killed over 70 people, according to a UN estimate.
But the military, or Tatmadaw, insists that security forces have acted with restraint against “riotous protesters” who they accuse of attacking police.
In a new report, human rights group Amnesty International has verified more than 50 videos of violent incidents circulating on social media.
Based on this evidence, it says that while security forces have also been using non-lethal tactics against protesters, they’ve been stepping up the use of battlefield weapons and lethal force in recent weeks.
One clip shows security forces in the town of Mawlamyine riding on trucks and allegedly shooting live ammunition at random, including into people’s homes.
Greece: “Lockdown fatigue” blamed for fueling mass protests
Dozens of demonstrations have taken place in Athens and other Greek cities over the past month following multiple allegations of police brutality in enforcing a nightly curfew and other strict lockdown measures.
The protests were also fueled by a recent decision to launch police patrols on university campuses as well as a hunger strike by a jailed militant group gunman to demand a prison transfer.
