U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams told The Oregonian that cost to repair riot damage to the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse and four other federal government facilities will likely exceed $2 million, Fox News reported.

Other damaged facilities include Portland’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building, the Edith Green-Wendall Wyatt Federal Building, the Gus J. Solomon U.S. Courthouse, and the Pioneer Courthouse.

The protests and riots were initially believed to be anti-police and anti-Trump events. However, the rioting shifted its focus to President Joe Biden following his election and even after he was sworn-in on January 20.

Antifa also attacked the Democratic Party headquarters in Portland on numerous occasions. In at least one Antifa-led protest, demonstrators carried a sign saying, “We are Ungovernable” and “We don’t want Biden – we want revenge.”

Mike Lindell Says Newsmax ‘Is Great,’ MyPillow Soars Despite Boycotts

Lindell joined Schmitt after a dust-up with a Newsmax anchor earlier that afternoon over confusion about the segment topic.

Lindell tells Newsmax TV that he and his business may have been targeted by “cancel culture,” but it’s really the businesses dropping his MyPillow products that are suffering most.

“They’re the losers because they’re the ones losing the real customers,” Lindell said.

The antiques dealer has been sharing the incredible finds he discovered in the house on his YouTube channel, estimating he’s found around £293,270 ($400,000) worth of stuff.

Alex wasn’t exactly sure what he’d find inside her home, after knowing Madam Rac for a few years but never going inside, but took the gamble as he knew she at least had a grand piano.

But when he walked in after finally getting the keys, he was stunned to find a hoarder’s paradise, with boxes and bags piled high in nearly every room, saying it was ‘packed to the rafters’.

Joseph DiMeo, a 22-year-old New Jersey resident who suffered 80% total body surface area burns in a high-speed car accident in 2018, underwent the ground-breaking procedure at NYU Langone Health in August after a donor match was found in Delaware.

DiMeo had fallen asleep at the wheel while on his way home from work, and his car hit the curb and flipped. Another driver pulled him from the burning vehicle before it exploded.

He spent the following three months in an induced coma at an acute burn facility, and underwent some 20 procedures including skin grafts and blood transfusions.

He spent about a month more waking up from the coma and beginning some rehabilitation exercises before one of Rodriguez’s colleagues referred him to NYU Langone Health.

AOC Wasn’t Even in the Capitol Building During Her ‘Near Death’ Experience

AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol building where all the action was going down. If she was in her office, she was in the Cannon Building which is nearby, but a different building. But of course, many didn’t get the logistics and just assumed that she was in the Capitol building.

According to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who has an office in the same hall as AOC, two doors away, there were never any rioters in their hall so there was never any physical danger from rioters coming in at any point.

AOC’s building appears to have been briefly evacuated during the day as police checked on a nearby suspicious package that was later cleared.

So her “near-death experience” was an overreaction to a Capitol Police officer knocking on her door to direct her to another building, the Longworth Building, where she then stayed in the office of Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA).

Instead of thanking the officer, she paints him as somehow a possible danger of which to be afraid.

The cases, now held in abeyance pending settlement discussions, dealt with the construction of a wall on the nation’s southern border to stem the flow of illegal aliens, and Trump’s policy requiring asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims are adjudicated. Trump’s term in office ended Jan. 20.

On Feb. 2, President Biden signed three new executive orders aimed at undoing Trump-era immigration policies.

One of the documents, Biden said during a ceremony at the White House, “orders a full review of the previous administration’s harmful and counterproductive immigration policies, basically across the board.”

NY state senator blocked by Dems from subpoenaing nursing home data: AG report is ‘tip of the iceberg’

“I brought that motion, the chairman of this committee has talked about issuing subpoenas on this matter for months. You know, the bombshell report from the attorney general last week on the nursing home deaths, so we felt it was the appropriate time to finally push the issue,” O’Mara told “Fox & Friends First” on Wednesday.

O’Mara said that he and his colleagues were calling for subpoenas and a full investigation of the Cuomo administration’s connection to nursing home deaths over a period of eight to nine months.

However, their microphones were shut off when they brought up a request for a subpoena.

“The chairman does not even allow committee members to take a vote on it, based on his counsel telling him there’s a rule, [but] that rule does not exist,” he said.

“[Newsom] said he’s going by the science but he really isn’t,” Williams told Steve Doocy. “It’s hurtful to all Californians.”

Williams added that during the pandemic, people are “unified by frustration” and that his “inclusive” campaign will not just be his campaign, but the people’s campaign.

California Republicans have said that they have collected 1.3 of the 1.5 million signatures needed by March to initiate their recall of Newsom.

Many politicians have expressed interest in running against Newsom should the recall gather the signatures needed, including the former Mayor of San Diego, Kevin Falconer.

Here’s How Those $2,000 Stimulus Checks Promised By Biden Became Only $1,400

Just before two January runoff elections in Georgia to determine which party would control the Senate, Biden promised that if Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock won, everyone would get $2,000 checks.

In her own campaign speech, Vice President Kamala Harris said the two Georgia Democrats “will make decisions about whether we give people a $2,000 check.”

And both Ossoff and Warnock made the promise, too.

On Wednesday, White Housed Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked if Biden is breaking a campaign promise. “There were $600 payments, as you know, in the $900 billion package that passed in December. This is $1,400. Together it’s $2,000, so that is delivering on the promise he made.”

And that’s how $2,000 magically became $1,400.

Schumer: Power-Sharing Agreement Reached, Democrats Can Take Control of Committees

The move allows Democrats to take control of committees, which they would have been locked out of without a deal.

An agreement between the two Senate leaders is required to figure out how power would be divided as the upper chamber has a 50-50 split. Vice President Kamala Harris is able to break ties.

It’s unclear how soon any agreement could be passed because all 100 senators would have to agree on how to speed up a vote on the measure.

Trump OMB chief launching new MAGA think tank

Business as usual means “powerful interests have an outsized voice in setting the agenda, where policy objectives are routinely sterilized of all perceived political risk, and where elites keep their base of voters in the dark,” Vought wrote in The Federalist.

Vought has a different answer. He is launching the Center for American Restoration, a new think tank that aims to provide the intellectual firepower to propel the next phase of Trump’s populist movement.

The center’s mission is to “maintain our gains over the last four years” and “put up as much of an opposition against the Biden administration as we possibly can,” Vought told “Just the News AM” television program.

Joe Biden Signs Order Revamping Welfare-Dependent Immigration

AP/DAMIANDO VARGANS
AP/DAMIANDO VARGANS

On Tuesday, Biden signed an order that revokes a crackdown on welfare-dependent legal immigration that sought to protect American taxpayers from being forced to foot the bill for federal benefits provided to foreign nationals seeking green cards.

In May 2019, President Trump signed an order to enforce Clinton-era laws from 1996 that delegated all financial responsibility to a family member or business sponsor of a foreign national seeking a green card when they had previously used welfare programs.

The order cut loose taxpayers from having to pay the cost.

In addition, the order ensured that the income of a sponsor was taken into consideration when a foreign national seeking a green card was applying for various welfare benefits.

Those costs, federal officials have previously said, amounts to billions over the years.

New Start: US and Russia extend nuclear treaty

The treaty had been set to lapse on 5 February, as the Trump administration had refused to approve the extension.

It had sought tougher verification procedures and some inclusion of tactical weapons, as well as an expansion of the deal to cover China.

New Start is the last remaining nuclear arms deal between Russia and the US, and its demise would have ended all limits on deployments of strategic nuclear warheads and delivery systems.
