Reward offered for info that leads to arrest of man accused of killing ex-girlfriend, her daughter on Christmas Day
Authorities allege that he went to the victims’ home on Christmas morning and killed both of them before he took Garvin’s phone. Family members say Garvin was three months pregnant and her other children were at home at the time of the the shooting.
Witnesses told officers they saw Brown’s car outside the home Christmas morning.
Police say he had previously threatened Garvin. According to court documents, he also has a history of domestic violence against her.
Statue of slave appearing to kneel before Abraham Lincoln is removed in Boston
Workers removed the Emancipation Memorial, also known as the Emancipation Group and the Freedman’s Memorial, early Tuesday from a park just off Boston Common where it had stood since 1879.
City officials had agreed in late June to take down the memorial after complaints and a bitter debate over the design.
Mayor Marty Walsh acknowledged at the time that the statue made residents and visitors alike “uncomfortable.”
Connecticut lawyer killed COVID-positive wife in Christmas Day murder-suicide
There is no evidence that the couple, who shared one child, happened to be estranged.
Shortly before the murder-suicide took place, John called Cindy’s brother, requesting he come by Palmer’s home to pick up her dogs. The lawyer called back, sounding distressed, which “raised serious concerns,” according to Lampson.
Cindy’s brother arrived at the home and around 6 p.m. discovered the bodies as well as a revolver, according to police.
Baby, grandmother killed in Flint drive-by identified as police investigate possible link to other homicides
FLINT, MI – Police are investigating the possibility that three shootings on Saturday in Flint which left four people dead may be connected.
Belinda Hart, 45, and her 10-month-old grandson Romelo Jones, Jr. were shot while sleeping in their home Saturday, Dec. 26, Flint Police Chief Terence Green told MLive-The Flint Journal.
One suspect was arrested with two or three more male suspects at large, Green said. The suspect in custody has not yet been charged.
The four shooting deaths pushed Flint’s homicide total to 60 for the year, up from 43 in 2019.
Nashville police release bodycam footage of Christmas RV bombing
It depicts his actions first before the explosion — as he helped evacuate people near a parked RV that was broadcasting a warning message — and then afterward as he returned to the scene after the blast.
The footage shows the chaos of the aftermath and startled people in the street being directed away from the scene just north of downtown Nashville’s historic Honky Tonk district.
In the moments before the blast, Sipos is shown approaching the parked RV as its loudspeakers blared out a computerized female voice warning people to clear the area.
“That’s so weird,” he says. “That’s like some (expletive) out of a movie.”
64 Migrants Apprehended in Smuggling Incidents over Christmas Weekend in Texas near Border
Agents conducted immigration interviews and identified the 39 people as illegal immigrants being warehoused for transportation into the U.S. interior.
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper contacted Border Patrol for assistance after stopping a suspected human smuggling vehicle. Agents arrived on the scene and identified seven migrants as being illegally present in the United States.
One day earlier, Border Patrol in the sector disrupted four additional human smuggling incidents.
The incidents stemmed from a stash house investigation and three smuggling attempts at interior immigration checkpoints. These cases resulted in the arrest of seven additional illegal immigrants.
Homeowner with Rifle Shoots, Kills 1 of 3 Suspected Robbers
The three suspects allegedly forced their way into the home as a female resident of the house was going inside, then allegedly held family members at gunpoint.
The 29-year-old homeowner retrieved a rifle and shot one of the three suspects, causing the second two to run.
Newsweek quoted Port Arthur Police Sergeant Shannon Meaux saying, “The homeowner fired several shots at the suspect, who was pronounced deceased on scene.”
Portland police forced to beg for community’s help in curbing out-of-control violence
According to Fox News, at least 850 shootings have been reported in Portland as of Dec. 24.
The outlet noted that there were at least 59 reported shootings in December alone.
The bureau is now asking for a a community-wide effort and action to help put a stop to gun violence across the city after its gun violence reduction team was disbanded over the summer.
The team was dismantled after activists and gun control activists said that the bureau was guilty of racism in “stopping people of color disproportionately to others,” the station reported.
Man, pregnant woman killed in triple homicide; toddler also shot
The man, woman, and unborn child all died as a result. The one-year-old was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Brown later identified the victims as 19-year-old Maudilia Martina Ramirez Garcia and 20-year-old Faustino Ramirez Garcia, brother and sister.
Brown says another man survived the shooting by hiding in the closet.
Police believe the motive behind the shootings was robbery. It’s being investigated as a triple homicide.
Hunter Biden Laptop Repairman’s Lawsuit Against Twitter Dismissed
The lawsuit was dismissed Monday, the same day it was filed.
The case was dismissed without prejudice. It could be filed again if Isaac was able to establish that the court has jurisdiction to hear the case.
John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the repair store, filed a $500 million libel lawsuit Monday, saying he was labeled a “hacker” causing him to lose business.
According to The Verge, Isaac claims Twitter made this decision to “communicate to the world that [Mac Isaac] is a hacker.”
He says that his business began to receive threats and negative reviews after Twitter’s censorship decision and that he is “now widely considered a hacker” because of Twitter.
He also said he had to close his business “as a direct result” of Twitter’s “false statements.”

Salon owner accuses Oregon governor of retaliating for resisting lockdown orders: ‘She terrorized my family’
Glamour Salon owner Lindsey Graham reopened her salon in May and received a fine of $14,000 from the state.
Graham claimed that Brown began to personally “terrorize” her family, and threatened to place her children under the care of Child Protective Services to “intimidate” her into closing her salon doors.
“As soon as I tried to open my doors against the governor’s mandate back in May, she came at me with the full weight of the state,” Graham told “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday.
“She terrorized myself, she terrorized my stylists, and she terrorized my family. She took every government agency she could, and she put her full weight into intimidating me into closing, including sending Child Protective Services to my home and threatening the removal of my children.”

The man who spent most of 2020 hiding in the basement believes the future of energy is renewable energy like wind and solar.
Biden should go back to the basement, watch Michael Moore’s “Planet of the Humans,” and rethink his advocacy for renewable energy.
Wind and solar are not the answer, and the idea of converting our fossil fuel-based economy into renewables could be a devastating take-down to society.
Schumer hits Republicans for $600 stimulus checks, doesn’t mention all the offers to pass $1,200 checks he ignored
On Tuesday, Schumer attempted to fast-track the CASH Act by requesting the unanimous consent of the Senate to hold an up or down vote on the bill.
During his remarks, he chastised Republicans for taking so long to consider an additional round of stimulus payments to Americans and criticized the initial compromise value of $600 checks.
When Republicans introduced their $1 trillion economic stimulus bill on July 29, Schumer declared his opposition to the bill — which included $1,200 stimulus checks — saying the GOP bill did not go far enough and demanding billions of dollars more to bail out state and local governments facing budget shortfalls.
Newsom recall effort gets $500K boost from Orange County firm
Proponents got a major boost last month when a judge gave them three additional months to collect the roughly 1.5 million signatures they would need to certify a recall. Proponents have said they have some 800,000 signatures, but getting enough valid signatures would likely mean collecting close to 2 million given that a share of them are typically deemed invalid.
The California Republican Party has been promoting the effort, as has former Republican gubernatorial candidate John Cox.
It has begun to gain national media attention, including the blessings of conservative media figures like former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Georgia judge, Stacey Abrams’ sister, rules against voter purge before Senate runoffs
A Georgia judge who is the sister of Democratic politician Stacey Abrams refused to recuse herself from a crucial election case, instead ruling against the purge of 4,000 voters from state rolls before Senate runoffs.
Marc Elias, a Democratic Party attorney whose group Democracy Forward filed the lawsuit challenging the purges, called Gardner’s decision a “blow to GOP voter suppression.”
Still, the Muscogee County board filed a motion prior to Gardner’s ruling asking her to recuse herself from the case because of her sibling, a strong ally of President-elect Joe Biden and an advocate who has “engaged in various highly publicized efforts to increase voter registration and turnout for the 2020 general election in Georgia,” according to the motion.
Gardner, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, reviewed the request for recusal and said she found no reason for doing so.

6.3 earthquake kills 7 in Croatia, leaves others missing
The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said the magnitude 6.3 quake hit 46 kilometers (28 miles) southeast of Zagreb just before 12:20 p.m. local time. It caused widespread damage in the hardest-hit town of Petrinja.
The same area was struck by a magnitude 5.2 quake on Monday.
Officials said a 12-year-old girl died in Petrinja, a town of some 25,000 people.
Another six people were killed in nearly destroyed villages close to the town, according to HRT state television. At least 26 people were hospitalized, six with serious injuries, officials said, adding that many more people remained unaccounted for.
EXCLUSIVE: Mexican Government Covers Up Christmas Cartel Attack near Texas Border
The attack took place on Christmas in Los Aldamas when at least 15 gunmen in three vehicles ambushed a squad of Mexican National Guard patrolling the region, U.S. law enforcement sources who operate in Mexico revealed to Breitbart Texas.
The officers were dispatched the area as part of an enforcement surge at the federal and state levels due to the holiday season. The officers were patrolling the highways and dirt roads around Los Aldamas around the time of the ambush.
Despite the intensity of the shootout, no officials are publicly acknowledging the incident. It is unclear if the gunmen were from the Gulf Cartel or the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas. Both are fighting for control of the turf.

Russia police arrest Covid-denying priest Father Sergiy
He has denied the existence of the coronavirus pandemic.
The controversial cleric was barred from preaching in April and then stripped of the right to wear a cross in May after he encouraged the faithful to disobey public health orders.
Russian authorities shut churches to worshippers between April and June, prompting Fr Sergiy to accuse them of co-operating with “forerunners of the Antichrist”.
Fr Sergiy was detained in a raid in the early hours of Tuesday, after clashes between police and his followers which lasted about an hour.
