Pics: Man with hatchet attacks El Paso police officer after liquor store theft
Rodney Raymond Zavala, 29, is accused of throwing a hatchet at a police officer who found him drinking a bottle of stolen liquor. The officer was not hit by the hatchet.
At 7 p.m., a police officer was flagged down regarding a theft at the Barrel House liquor store on Montana Avenue near Piedras Street close to El Paso Police Headquarters, a police news release stated.
The Police Department released photos of the confrontation filmed by a police car dashboard camera.
California man, 33, punches elderly Trump supporter, 84, and two others at MAGA rally
Alvin Gary Shaw, 33, confronted the small group of people during the gathering in Aliso Viejo – 50 miles south of Los Angeles – around 6.30pm.
Shaw allegedly blew smoke in some of the supporters’ faces and used his cigar to burn one person’s Trump sign, according to local reports.
He also reportedly punched two people, including an 84-year-old woman, and knocked a third person to the ground before he was taken away in handcuffs.
Seattle elementary school lesson reportedly encourages children to see police officers as racist
According to Rantz, some Seattle-area elementary school students received a head-scratching homework assignment sharing a decidedly anti-police sentiment.
Students at Grove Elementary were reportedly asked to watch a video that was said to teach kids “that racist police routinely target innocent black Americans.”
Rantz writes, “Among the lessons being promoted, either in the virtual classroom or via third-party resources to parents, students as young as 7-years-old are taught that racist police routinely target innocent Black Americans but don’t suffer consequences because police cover for each other.”
More Than Half Of American Voters Support Breaking Up Big Tech Companies, A New Poll Finds
Only 26% of voters oppose or strongly oppose splitting up the country’s largest tech companies, while 19% of those surveyed didn’t offer a view, a poll from progressive think tank Data for Progress showed.
The poll, which surveyed 1,200 likely voters in September, comes as the House lawmakers conclude their nearly yearlong probe into the industry’s supposed anticompetitive behavior.
In the same poll, roughly 60% of respondents expressed support for a prompt on smartphones asking users which search engine they’d prefer rather than a service provider using Google as a default
Google consistently accounts for roughly 90% of online information searches, Vox reported in May, citing Google Trends.
A Daily Caller News Foundation report in 2018 showed that Google employees have expressed willingness to artificially manipulate search results on the platform.
US Marshals Arrested Over 260 Suspected Criminals, Gang Members, Locate 5 Missing Children
The law enforcement event, dubbed “Operation Triple Beam,” lasted nearly two months and netted 262 arrests, including those accused of murder, assault, burglary and drug offenses, according to KFOR.
A total of 141 of the arrestees were gang members, and the agents were able to rescue five missing children, the local outlet reported.
Officers recovered 72 firearms, 9 kilograms (approximately 20 pounds) of narcotics, and $17,000, according to KFOR.
“Our primary goal with operations like OTB is to make communities safer,” Kuhlman continued.
“When we arrest these violent fugitives, we are also removing guns and narcotics from our streets. We believe these efforts have an immediate, positive impact on the communities we serve.”
Black Lives Matter Linked To 91% Of Riots Over Three Months, Study Finds
The Black Lives Matter movement is linked to more than nine-in-ten riots across the country, according to a recent study.
The U.S. experienced 637 riots between May 26 and Sept. 12, and 91% of those riots were linked to the Black Lives Matter movement, according to the US Crisis Monitor, a joint project of the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project and the Bridging Divides Initiative at Princeton University.
Forty-nine states, not counting Washington, D.C., experienced riots during that time period, the study found.
California led the nation with 86 riots during that time, closely followed by Oregon with 79 riots during that time period, the data show.
Seven percent of Black Lives Matter-linked events have turned violent, according to the data.
Donald Trump, Trump Campaign And Meme Creator Carpe Donktum Sued Over CNN Toddler Video
Logan Cook, aka Carpe Donktum, used a video of a white child and a black child chasing each other to create a meme with the fake CNN headline, “TERRIFIED TODDLER RUNS FROM RACIST BABY.”
The video then cuts away to a clip of the two children hugging each other.
The video that Cook used for the meme had previously gone viral in 2019 when the parents took the video of their children after their first day of school.
President Trump and the Trump campaign both shared the meme on social media, which was quickly labeled “manipulated media” by Twitter.
Carpe Donktum’s Twitter account was permanently suspended 5 days after the video was made.
Parents Michael Cisneros and Alex Hanson, and parents Daniel and Erica McKenna, allege that their civil rights were violated when Cook used the video of their children without their permission.
Steelers Player Takes Police Shooting Victim’s Name Off Helmet After Learning ‘What Occurred In Its Entirety’
A second Pittsburgh Steelers player has opted against displaying the name of a police shooting victim on his helmet after admitting he was “unaware of the whole story surrounding [the victim’s] death.”
Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey posted a note on Instagram on Thursday saying he would no longer display Antwon Rose Jr.’s name on his helmet. Pouncey also offered an apologetic explanation to police departments and officers he has worked with for “not doing more investigating” before wearing Rose’s name during a Monday night game.

During Biden’s nearly 50 years in politics, his off-the-cuff remarks have gotten him in more than a bit of trouble, but the obvious teleprompter use is posing problems of its own.
The Trump campaign made a brutal one-minute ad about it recently:
Mocking Biden for teleprompter use during what are supposed to be unscripted moments is not a generic attack on the use of automated technology to read a speech.
But that’s precisely what many media figures claimed during Trump’s latest mention of Biden’s curious practice. Take a look at some examples:

A leaked video obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation shows first-term Democratic Illinois Rep. Sean Casten rapping at a private campaign event about how supporters of President Donald Trump are “racist” and “loony.”
Casten has previously faced scrutiny for apparently linking gun ownership to genital size and for comparing Trump to Osama bin Laden. The leaked video was recorded on Sept. 28, 2019, when the congressman held a campaign event at a local bar featuring his own band.
Pelosi teams with progressive nuns to urge support for pro-abortion Biden
Pelosi will speak at the opening rally where she will discuss “how her Catholic faith guides her political vision” and encourage “fellow Catholics to mobilize and vote in this election.”
Pelosi praised Campbell in the press release provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation, calling the nun a “true champion for justice, whose decades of service are a testament to the power of faith to deliver progress for all Americans.”
Official Catholic teaching states that abortion “is a crime against human life,” “constitutes a grave offense” and that a person who obtains an abortion is automatically excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

Russian drives vehicle through US Ambassador’s home security perimeter in Moscow
On Friday, a Russian national in a vehicle breached the home of U.S. Ambassador to Russia John J. Sullivan’s Moscow home before being stopped by embassy personnel.
In a second tweet two hours after the first, Ross said, “The Russian national who breached the perimeter at Spaso House today is in the custody of local authorities, and an investigation is underway.
The U.S. Embassy appreciates all expressions of concern. We refer you to the investigating authorities for any further information.”
US carrier transits Strait of Hormuz amid tensions with Iran
The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier safely transited on Friday through the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most important chokepoint for oil shipments, the U.S. Navy said, as tensions with Iran continue to simmer.
In a “scheduled” maneuver, the U.S. sent the carrier and several other warships through the strait, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf, according to the U.S. Navy’s Bahrain-based 5th fleet.
The Nimitz strike group “is at the peak of readiness,” said Rear Adm. Jim Kirk, its commander.

Iranian Court Orders The Amputation of The Fingers Of Three Teenagers Under Sharia Law

We have previously discussed the brutality of Islamic nations enforcing medieval Sharia law.
Iran has given the world another shocking addition to the long list of beheadings, floggings, and other forms of Islamic punishment.
A “court’ has ordered the amputation of the fingers of three teenagers found guilty of theft.
In 2008 it was reported that five convicted criminals convicted of various crimes in addition to “acting against God” and “corruption upon this Earth.”
They were reported subjected to “cross amputation” where the right hands and left feet of the men were removed.
The amputation of the fingers of these minors is an offense to the most concepts of human rights and indeed humanity itself.
