Watch: Kenosha Rioters Attack Man Defending Charitable Association

In the video, the man can be seen at the entrance to Danish Brotherhood Lodge 14 — a charitable society that was set on fire by rioters on Monday — with a fire extinguisher, which he then uses to spray at rioters in an attempt to drive them away from the building.

The Danish Brotherhood Lodge can be identified by the archway of the building in the video, which matches photos of the lodge on Google.

As the man sprays rioters — who are actively looting — with the fire extinguisher, he is then punched in the head from behind from another individual, causing him to fall to the ground, bleeding from the head.

Texas renews court effort to ban abortion procedure

Texas officials asked a federal appeals court’s permission Tuesday to enforce a ban on a commonly used second-trimester abortion procedure — before the court rules on its constitutionality.

A three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans heard arguments on the law in November 2018.

But the panel had yet to rule as of Tuesday. Last week, the same panel declined a Texas motion to allow enforcement of the law while it prepares its ruling.

So, Texas officials on Tuesday asked the full 17-member court to consider the matter, essentially doing an end run around the panel.

VIDEO: 3 Officers Shot After Suspects Retreated to Car, Opened Doors on Same Day as Kenosha Shooting

Officers responding to a residential robbery call in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday were ambushed by two black gunmen who retreated to their vehicle, opened fire on police cruisers, and fled.

Andre Larnell Smith, 45, and Steven Maurice Warren, 45, injured three officers with gunfire before crashing their vehicle and being taken into custody.

The firefight was captured on the responding officer’s dashcam, and illustrated how quickly “unarmed” perpetrators can become armed and dangerous.

New video of Kenosha tells a lot more about the Jacob Blake shooting

People should know that one of the crimes Mr. Blake has been charged with in the past is sexual assault and domestic abuse. He also has a record and a warrant for his arrest.

In 2015, he assaulted an officer and threatened people in a bar with a gun.

The man who said he made the cellphone video, 22-year-old Raysean White, said he saw Blake scuffling with three officers and heard them yell, “Drop the knife! Drop the knife!” before the gunfire erupted.

White said the next time he looked out the window, he saw “police out there wrestling” with the man who was later identified as Blake.

He said he witnessed a female officer deploying a Taser at Blake, NBC News reported.

There is also evidence the female officer tased Blake but it didn’t do any good.

The video showed that Blake disregarded the officers’ commands and kept going until he reached the driver’s door.

“The suspect vehicle is a white Dodge 4-door with a pink steering wheel cover and a broken left taillight,” police said.

The gunfire also wounded a 35-year-old woman in a separate vehicle.

Long arm of the coronavirus law: Crackdown from inspectors, fines, social services reaches deep

In measures directly related to keeping the disease curve flat, Michigan has been dealing out hefty fines to businesses that aren’t complying with the state’s coronavirus guidelines, according to The Detroit News.

This includes a $6,300 fine to a gas station where employees were wearing their face masks incorrectly or not at all, did not provide free face masks to its employees, conduct health training or screenings or have a coronavirus response plan.

In New York City, Eater New York reported that some bars are having their liquor licenses revoked after only single, vague warnings, and others are voluntarily closing because they are concerned about state liquor inspectors showing up unannounced to ask for proof that customers had ordered food with their alcoholic beverages.

“[W]e were scared of everyone who would show up with a backpack,” Will Wyatt, a co-owner of Mister Paradise, a cocktail bar in the East Village, told Eater New York.

New footage shows Jacob Blake clashing with police seconds before shooting

In the latest video posted online, Blake is seen wrestling with at least two Kenosha police officers.

The scuffle took place on the passenger’s side of the vehicle, which would have screened it from being seen by the initial video taken from the other side of the vehicle.

On July 6, Blake had been charged by Kenosha County prosecutors with sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct and an arrest warrant for him had been issued, the Daily Mail reported.

EU powerhouse Germany is spearheading efforts to avoid an outright military conflict that could imperil Europe’s future access to newly-discovered energy reserves.

Greece’s maritime claims are backed by the entire European Union, but the bloc has so far held back from heavily sanctioning Turkey, fearing possible retaliation from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
