Police Arrest Man For Pulling Gun On Pro-Life Activists Outside Planned Parenthood
Officers from the Dover Police Department responded Friday morning to calls from a group of pro-life protestors outside the Planned Parenthood – Dover Health Center, in Delaware, according to a Saturday press release from the Dover Police Department.
A police investigation alleges that 31-year-old Jerome Aniska “engaged with the pro-life demonstrators that were on the public sidewalk and an argument ensued,” the press release said.
“During this argument, Aniska pulled out a black handgun and made a threatening statement to the group,” the press release said.
Texas A&M professor charged with hiding Chinese Thousand Talents affiliation while getting NASA grants
Zhengdong Cheng, 53, was arrested in Texas on Sunday on charges of conspiracy, making false statements, and wire fraud.
A statement from the Justice Department said that Cheng “led a team conducting research for NASA” while he “willfully took steps to obscure his affiliations and collaboration with a Chinese University and at least one Chinese-owned company” and that “the terms of Cheng’s grant prohibited participation, collaboration or coordination” with China or Chinese companies and universities.
Cheng is not the first person to be accused of being part of the Thousand Talents program and arrested for taking advantage of NASA’s grants — Arkansas professor Simon Saw-Teong Ang, who received millions of dollars of U.S. government research money, including $500,000 from NASA, was arrested for allegedly failing to disclose his extensive financial connections to China back in May.
LA jails refuse to turn 25,000 criminal illegal immigrants over to ICE
This week, Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced his department would stop transferring even the most dangerous offenders in the Los Angeles County Jail to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In his explanation, Villanueva said he was looking out for the 1 million LA residents who are also illegally residing in the county and too scared to report crimes to police because it could mean being sent back to their home country.
The top ICE official who oversees arrests of illegal immigrants within the U.S. was furious at Villanueva’s comments during a phone call Friday.
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Executive Associate Director Henry Lucero told the Washington Examiner that Villanueva’s claim was a ploy, and a false one at that, meant to appeal to local residents at the cost of misinforming them about how ICE operates.
‘Like a Scene Out of Hell’: Armed BLM Rioters Loot, Pillage, and Burn Kenosha Following Police Shooting
In the name of Black Lives Matter, rioters shut down the streets in Kenosha, Wisc., setting trucks on fire, patrolling the streets with semi-automatic rifles, and ransacking nearby businesses.
The riot followed the release of a viral video showing Kenosha police repeatedly shooting a black man who resisted arrest and reached into his truck.
The man, identified as 29-year-old Jacob Blake, appears to have a violent history.
Blake is in critical condition at a nearby hospital, according to police.
A viral video shows officers attempting to arrest Blake, who proceeds to enter the driver’s side of a vehicle. As he reaches into the vehicle, the cops open fire.
Rioters broke into Kenosha stores and looted them, one by one.
New York exempts celebrities from forced mandatory quarantine — which normal people could be jailed for violating
“There’s not a context for indoor dining. We’re never saying it’s impossible.
But we do not, based on what we’re seeing around the world, we do not have a plan for reopening indoor dining in the near term,” he said, the New York Post reported.
Meanwhile, Cuomo has imposed a strict 14-day quarantine requirement for visitors traveling from 31 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Those who violate the quarantine are subject to a $10,000 fine and 15 days in jail, according to the Post.
That requirement, however, will not apply to celebrities traveling to New York City for the Video Music Awards later this week.
Border Patrol agents stop 12 human smuggling attempts in just two days.
During their two day efforts, law enforcement reports that they were able to identify and take 14 different people into custody for human smuggling.
Nine of those people were US citizens, the remaining were either Cuban or Mexican nationals.
The illegal aliens who were stopped were from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Cuba, and Guatemala.
All of the illegal aliens were subjected to a medical screening and background checks as required by United States law.
Once they were cleared that process, all 48 illegal aliens were deported to Mexico. The 14 people who were arrested face federal charges for alien smuggling.
For those who are convicted under this federal statute, they could face up to 10 years in prison.

The California Supreme Court on Monday overturned the death penalty sentence for Scott Peterson, convicted in the Christmas Eve murder of his pregnant wife, Laci, and their unborn son, Conner.

However, the court ruled the trial judge in Peterson’s case “made a series of clear and significant errors in jury selection that, under long-standing United States Supreme Court precedent, undermined Peterson’s right to an impartial jury at the penalty phase.”
3 police officers shot in Maryland were ‘ambushed,’ authorities say
Prince George’s County police were responding to a reported home invasion around 6:30 p.m. in Hyattsville, a city about 32 miles southwest of Baltimore, Interim Police Chief Hector Velez said.
“Within minutes they arrived at the scene, and within seconds they came under gunfire,” Velez told reporters outside Prince George’s Hospital Center. “They were ambushed.”
Officers returned gunfire and took two men into custody unharmed, police said. The injured officers were expected to recover.
Kenosha car dealership targeted by rioters during overnight protest
The parking lot that typically stores a local business’s selection of used cars was instead filled with rows of the vehicles’ metal remains hours after rioters took to the streets in and around the city’s downtown area, according to several images shared on social media.
Hours earlier, Drew Hernandez, a reporter who uses the Twitter handle @livesmattershow, shared videos showing a progression of demonstrators’ destruction of Car Source as well as other businesses and property in the city.
First, around 2:20 a.m., Hernandez posted footage of what appeared to be a flaming flare positioned under a seat in the back of an open vehicle.

Trump: FDA approves ‘powerful’ new treatment for COVID-19
“The FDA [Federal Drug Administration] has issued an emergency use authorization … for a treatment known as convalescent plasma,” Trump said at a Sunday night news conference.
“This is a powerful therapy that transfuses very, very strong antibodies from the blood of recovered patients to help treat patients battling a current infection.
It’s had an incredible rate of success.”Trump said the emergency authorization will “dramatically improve access” to the treatment thanks to Operation Warp Speed, which reduces the bureaucratic red tape in approving new drugs.
“Based on the science and the data, the FDA has made the independent determination that the treatment is safe and very effective,” he said.

New York AG sues Trump Organization to compel Eric Trump testimony
Trump, the third-oldest child of President Donald Trump and the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, was scheduled to provide testimony for the investigation last month but backed out of doing so less than two days before the interview was to take place.
The company is now refusing to comply with the subpoena for Eric Trump, the filing says, citing “those rights afforded to every individual under the Constitution.”
The filing from James’ office asks a judge to order the Trump Organization to turn over the documents it has withheld and to compel the testimony it seeks from Eric Trump, as well as two lawyers who worked with the company.
An attorney for the Trump Organization sought to downplay the filings on Monday.
“This is simply a discovery dispute over documents and the like,” the lawyer, Alan Garten, said in an email.
Americans React To Kamala Harris’s Call For Post-20 Week Abortions With Pictures Of Their 20-Week-Olds
People are sharing photos of their children at 20 weeks gestation after a tweet from Sen. Kamala Harris in 2018 resurfaced, in which she advocated against a ban on abortions past 20 weeks.
Others shared photos of babies prematurely born around 20 weeks, fully developed and alive.
Harris is a longtime pro-abortion activist with a long congressional record supporting the movement.
She voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and was a co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act, which allows abortions without bans.
Harris has also notably called for Congress to pass a law affirming the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973.
Harris even received an informal endorsement from Planned Parenthood Action on Twitter.

A Twitter user asked Spencer if he will be voting for Biden or sitting out the election, given his belief that “Biden/Kamala will be tougher on crime/BLM than Trump.”
Spencer responded, “I plan to vote for Biden and a straight democratic ticket.
It’s not based on ‘accelerationism’ or anything like that; the liberals are clearly more competent people.”
Although Spencer claims that his endorsement is about competence and not ideology, his comments from the 2017 Charlottesville riots say otherwise.
During his keynote speech in Charlottesville, Spencer explained how abortion advances white nationalist goals, stating, “The people who are having abortions are generally very often black or Hispanic or from very poor circumstances.”

While it’s described as the most progressive platform in the Democratic Party’s history and pushes the party to left on many issues — including health care reform, combating climate change, trade deals, and fighting racial injustice — the 92-page document doesn’t specifically endorse “Medicare-for-all” or the Green New Deal, two of the top proposals pushed by the party’s progressive wing.
Democratic National Committee (DNC) officials announced last Tuesday that the platform was passed by convention delegates and adopted. But despite inquiries by Fox News and other news organizations, they didn’t release the roll-call vote on the platform for days.

In a letter sent to Amazon’s Jeff Bezos today and obtained by FOX Business, Republican lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee are demanding answers from CEO Jeff Bezos over his charity-support program AmazonSmile – and why some conservative groups are banned from benefiting from the program.
AmazonSmile is a program that lets customers donate a portion of what they spend on the website to charity.
Participating in the program is a huge boost for nonprofits. In 2018, AmazonSmile raised $100 million for charities that participated.
But many conservative charities are banned from being part of the program.
Amazon uses the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center to decide who gets to participate.

“As a heads-up to my colleagues proposing the Wealth Tax Act, the U.S. Constitution is still in force here,” Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, R-Rocklin, said. “You can’t keep taxing people after they flee the state.”
AB 1253, with several cosponsors, would increase the top earners’ income tax from 13.3 percent to 16.8 percent and make the tax retroactive to Jan. 1.
Introduced by Assemblyman Rob Bonta, D-Oakland, the bill would affect roughly 30,400 Californians by raising “approximately $7.5 billion annually,” according to the summary.
“The state will now tax not only what you make and what you buy, but also what you have,” Kiley said.
“This will of course make people leave California, but the authors thought of that. The bill purports to keep taxing you even if you flee the state. In a word, imprisonment.”

Republicans emphasize ‘under God’ in pledge after 2 DNC meetings omitted words
“At the Democrat National Convention, we know that at least two caucuses removed two words — “under God” — from the Pledge of Allegiance.
We know too that at a previous Democrat convention, a recent one, the word “God” was almost totally removed from their platform.
That could not, would not, ever happen here,” Peter Goldberg, a delegate from Alaska, said to applause at Republicans’ Monday morning meeting before leading the pledge.
“We know as Republicans that America must put its full trust and faith in that God, in order to do so so that every American citizen can have the blessings of security, the opportunity for prosperity and the ability to enjoy all of those freedoms that are enshrined in that divinely inspired document the Constitution of the United States of America.”
The meetings in which the words “under God” were left out were one meeting of the Muslim Delegates & Allies Assembly and one LGBTQ Caucus Meeting.

ISIS “Terrorist Attack” On Syrian Gas Pipeline Triggers Nationwide Blackout
“Assessments show that the explosion … was the result of a terrorist attack,” Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Ghanem as saying.
There were no further details of how terrorists managed to blow up the 36-inch pipeline.
According to the US envoy for Syrian affairs James Jeffrey, the explosion was likely an attack by the Islamic State: “We are still looking into that.
But it was almost certainly a strike by ISIS,” Jeffrey said, as cited by Reuters.
Facebook to pay France more than $118 million in back taxes
France, which is pushing hard to overhaul international tax rules on digital companies such as Facebook, Alphabet’s Google, Apple and Amazon, has said the big tech groups pay too little tax in the country where they have significant sales.
A Facebook spokesman said French tax authorities carried out an audit on Facebook’s accounts over the 2009-2018 period, which resulted in an agreement by the subsidiary to pay a total of $125 million.
The Facebook spokesman did not elaborate further on the details of the agreement. France’s tax administration also did not give more details.
