Seattle police show photographs of their burns and wounds while releasing footage of protesters throwing explosives and wooden planks at officers as 59 cops were injured in Saturday’s riot
Seattle police have released bodycam footage revealing how protesters have targeted and injured officers by throwing explosives, rocks and bottles in a riot over the weekend.
Nearly 60 Seattle police officers were injured in Saturday clashes with anti-police demonstrators and one was hospitalized as a riot was declared in the city.
The police department released video footage of Saturday’s unrest where cops dodged explosives, flying bottles and pieces of wood during a protest in Capitol Hill.
2 Children, Ages 6 and 8, Shot in Car in Miami-Dade: Police
The mother brought the children to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they were in stable condition, police said.
Several police cars were outside the hospital Tuesday afternoon and a car believed to be the mother’s was surrounded by yellow police tape.
Police are trying to determine where the shooting happened, and the Hialeah Police Department is also part of the investigation.
Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez called the shooting “unacceptable.”
The shooting comes just days after a 7-year-old girl, Alana Washington, was killed in a drive-by shooting in Brownsville that left a 2-year-old and two adults injured.
12-Year-Old Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Texas Woman
Sharon Hawkins was found Saturday with multiple gunshot wounds in a bedroom at an apartment complex in the Greater Greenspoint area of Harris County, the Houston Chronicle reported.
The boy, whose name wasn’t released because he is a minor, was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon through the Harris County Juvenile Probation Office.
Police spokesman Kese Smith said authorities arrested the boy Sunday.
NYC Deli Punch Leads to Wild Sidewalk Brawl, Student Getting Shot in Stomach
Authorities are looking for a man caught on camera walloping a SUNY student and star football player in the face at a Queens deli, then following him outside and shoots him in the stomach, leaving him badly hurt, police said Tuesday.
The NYPD identified the suspect in the attack at a deli on Springfield Boulevard a day earlier as Jeffrey Thurston. He remains at large.
Video shows Thurston start to argue with the victim as he tries to walk by him inside the deli, according to police.
It’s not clear what was said, but Thurston is allegedly the man seen on camera punching the victim in the face.
White House Strikes $765 Million Deal With Kodak To Produce American-Made Drugs
In a press call this morning, senior White House officials laid out a $765 million deal with Kodak to develop ingredients for pharmaceuticals in the United States.
Currently, the United States imports 90 percent of these ingredients from countries such as China. This deal, which invokes the Defense Production Act, will boost American production to 25 percent in the future, officials said.
Kodak was chosen because there are similarities between the manufacturing of chemicals for film and for pharmaceuticals.
According to Peter Navarro, this initiative goes back to a conversation he had with President Donald Trump in February about how dependent we are on foreign drugs.
Navarro also touted this deal as a big blue collar job creator.

Infant critically wounded in Chicago expressway shooting
Ny’ori Askew was in the backseat of a vehicle when she was shot on the Bishop Ford Expressway, on the city’s South Side, according to reports.
In the past two months, eight children under the age of 5 have been shot in Chicago, the station reported.
They said there have been 65 shootings on Chicago-area expressways this year, nearly double the number the shootings during the same period last year.

House Democrats yank Homeland Security spending bill from floor
House Democrats on Tuesday were forced to pull their Homeland Security spending bill from the floor just days before it was slated for a vote, after it faced strong blowback from both progressives and centrists within the caucus.
Dozens of vulnerable Democrats in swing districts as well as progressives had threatened to torpedo the measure in recent days:
The moderates argued the bill went too far in cracking down on immigration enforcement, while liberals argued it didn’t do nearly enough to rein in the Trump administration’s draconian policies.
“Frontline members raised serious concerns that the Homeland bill was a tough vote in swing districts because of its progressive provisions,” a House Democratic aide said Tuesday.
Congress is widely expected to enact a stopgap measure in September and punt any major funding decisions until after the November election.
Trump renews effort to wind down DACA while also giving Dreamers one year of deportation protection
In a White House call with reporters, a senior administration laid out how the DACA review would unfold, with a stated goal of reducing “smuggling and illegal crossing” that the official said was encouraged by DACA.
The White House said it plans to continue its existing policy of refusing new DACA applicants – a decision in place since 2017.

Iran missiles target fake carrier as US bases go on alert
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard launched missiles Tuesday targeting a mock aircraft carrier in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a drill that included such a barrage of fire the U.S. military temporarily put two regional bases in the Mideast on alert amid tensions between the two countries.
Iranian commandos fast-roped down from a helicopter onto the replica in the footage aired Tuesday from the exercise called “Great Prophet 14.”
Anti-aircraft guns opened fire on a target drone near the port city of Bandar Abbas.
State television footage also showed a variety of missiles being fired from fast boats, trucks, mobile launchers and a helicopter, some targeting the fake carrier.
Chinese Regime Destroyed Evidence About Initial Virus Outbreak: Hong Kong Scientist
A well-known Hong Kong microbiologist is the latest to reveal information on how Beijing initially covered up China’s outbreak of the CCP virus, adding to a pile of evidence about authorities’ mismanagement of the pandemic crisis.
Professor Yuen Kwok-yung, an infectious disease expert at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), was among a team of experts headed by China’s top respiratory specialist Zhong Nanshan dispatched on a fact-finding mission to Wuhan, where the virus first broke out, on Jan. 19.
Now, more than 6 months later, Yuen told the BBC in an interview on July 27 that Chinese local authorities were slow to respond to the outbreak and had destroyed physical evidence about the outbreak.
Kim Jong Un Claims North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons Will Guarantee Security
“Now we have become able to reliably defend ourselves against any form of high-intensity pressure and military threat,” Kim said, adding,

Kim again claimed that the nuclear programs are primarily defensive in nature and show Pyongyang’s “absolute strength,” according to the state-run KNCA.

The speech came in the midst of stalled talks intended to dismantle Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs in exchange for sanctions relief from the United States.

And when they realize that Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are exactly addressing their concerns? They tune in.
The pattern is not hard to see.
And with 100 days or so to go until the 2020 election, Democrats and the liberal media and political elites are, as in 2016, utterly clueless about the Silent Majority’s Silent Revolution.
Of course they are.
What happens when the mob gets its wish

We’re seeing exactly what happens when we give the mob its wish and order the police to stand down.
These protesters don’t say, “Well, that’s more like it” and go home; they ramp up the violence because now they figure they can get away with even more.
Law professor Glenn Reynolds of the Instapundit blog has written wisely that the inevitable result of this is not a utopian society with no evil gestapo cops, but vigilante justice.
The people will only put up with being terrorized for so long, particularly when the officials they foolishly elected abandon them to the mob and tell them, as the Seattle Police Chief just did, that “we can no longer enforce the law.
You are on your own.”
